This is my favorite zoo! It has lots of interactive displays for children and adults alike to either interact with or learn about the different species. Like it even better than the San Diego zoo.

I love zoos in general but I love this one because of the giraffe exhibit feeding them is fun they know you have the grub before you hand it out. The rest of the zoo is nice it's like a small hike and it's perfect for the location. I question some of the habitats but as long as the animals are happy it's all good!

I would of given this a 5 star but there was a big problem. We paid for our tickets and walked through the gates but anyone could walk through EAISLY! When we went on the shuttle that cost $2 per person, they only checked it 1/3 times. I think its a great zoo but literally anyone could walk through those doors and ripped you off! Other than that, it was the best zoo I've been too!

Went during February while it was nice that it wasn't busy some of the animals were not outside because it was too cold like elephants, rhinos and giraffes. At least you are still able to feed the giraffes which is a really cool experience can really get up close and personal which them.

This is got to be one of the best zoos in all of America. If you're looking for some physical activity and the opportunity to see and meet some incredible animals this is the right spot.

This zoo couldn't be placed in a better location, right next to the mountains with a wide overview of the city. The animals are close and generous, you'll see as soon as you enter and see the giraffes. Really well kept. I would have liked the skyride to encorporate more things.

This Mountain Zoo is absolutely amazing! I have never had an experience quite like this involving animals. We fed giraffes and elephants.
My husband wants to visit Denver, Colorado again for the sole purpose of returning to this Zoo.
Our toddler loved the up close and personal experience that this Zoo enables you to have.
The animals seemed very well cared for and natural looking habitats.

First time here. I never thought a zoo could actually exist on the steep terrain just minutes west from Colorado Springs. It literally sits in the foothills.
They have a great amount of wildlife. The animals really seem to be well taken care of. After talking with a staff member in charge of the elephants, CMZ has REALLY comes far in attaining a high degree of recognition among zoos. They are a bit pricey, especially with consessions inside but it is a good time. Recommended.

I love this Zoo! It's on the side of a mountain and this allows them a unique layout but also incredible views. A lot of their exhibits you are above the animals so you get a unique view and all the animals have large areas available to them with indoor and outdoor options.

You can walk amongst wallabys and budgies, and feed the giraffes. Make sure you check the schedule in advance as they also have rhino and elephant feeding times as well as lots of other scheduled interactions.

It is a bit of a hike on a slope so it can be a bit of a workout. They do offer a free mini shuttle service up the main walking area to the different exhibits.

It's not the largest Zoo but they are very unique and a fantastic experience.

Excellent zoo! They have a wide variety of animals to see. They have feeding experiences for most of the animals as well as a zookeepers around to ask questions. The zoo also has a ton of stuff that is kid oriented and educational. They have a playground and an area called my big backyard that is geared towards kids. They have a cafeteria style eatery, and the pizza was good. The zoo is a bit of a climb so be prepared for a bit of a hike. Would definitely go again.

The view is beautiful and the animals slightly diverse. On the other hand. The staff is rude and the majority of other customers are uppity. I just went today and had no idea about their secret BOGO promotion. So I overpayed. The people next to me knew. I said, "Would've been nice to know that." They looked at me like I was stupid, as did the staff members. As we walked around the corner, the employee said, "I guess THEY should follow our social media platforms." Never in my life have i dealt with such rudeness and unprofessional nonsense. If you wanted to keep me as a customer, you should have done the right thing and let it slide. Secretive promotion is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Denver will get my business from now on.

This zoo is FANTASTIC! Best zoo in Colorado, it's clear that the animals are well cared for and have great enrichment opportunities. Conservation is a priority at this zoo, and it shows. Just bring your walking shoes, it's on a hill (there is a trolley cart that you can take as well)!

Great experience although it is winter the animals were still let out with consideration of the animals. Love the fact that it wasn t busy. Also there are many new things to come New exhibits and new animals and even a new restaurant overseeing Colorado Springs. Great way to spend some time with the kids and family.

I thoroughly believe this is the best zoo. Every time I go I have a special experience with an animal. You don't tour this zoo and see empty exhibits because the animal is hiding, but the area they have is still large and beautifully designed. Love visiting this place and always spend several hours here.

I haven't been hers since I was a child, in the 80s. It's fantastic! I loved sharing it with my teenage son. The emphasis on conservation and education are topnotch, their dedication to safety and cleanliness was great, and the animal habitats were delightful! They do so much in such a small space.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is close up and personal; and they work to provide a good animal living space. It's a big style operation that lets you feel part of it and all the animals. Plus they have the best big animals to see. You might want to call and ask how parking is first.

Awesome experience. Loved it so much we became members. Best zoo we have ever been to. Staff is friendly and helpful. Make sure you visit the Shrine of the Sun, the views are spectacular. Bring your own water, prices are a little expensive.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a nice place. It is very clean, and the views are amazing. The paths go up and down some steep hills. Feeding fresh lettuce to the giraffes is a fun for all experience, so is feeding the budgies on a stick. The animals look well taken care of. There are play places for kids. The food court has a good selection of fresh, affordable entrees. You can also find nice restaurants and coffee shops.

I went to the CMZ several times during my childhood. Took my wife there in 2014 for her first time. Loved it! Things have changed substantially since then. During our recent visit, the sky ride was shut down, as were several other exhibits. The experience was okay.
