Visited on good Friday, purchased day tickets at the gate with cereal token - 1 adult free, we are family of 4.
Tried to but fast track but some rides were not open, tiger rock - due to maintenance, was closed all day. Pirate ship was all gated off. Dragons fury was 120 minute but kept breaking throughout the day also.

We managed to get fast track for 2 rides as all the others sold out so quickly.

We was expecting it to be busy but in my opinion it was very over crowded.
My kids, 5&11 years old did very well in the ques but over an hour each ride is just madness. The gruffalo ride-was bubbleworks, was ok queuing as it had little games on the walls and fences to keep them amused, maybe have this on a few others?
We was waiting so long for the scorpion Express but was worth it as we all loved it.
After all the queuing we didn't get round to doing the zufari or sealife so would need 2 days here. Next time we will book in advance and maybe not come with our 5 year old as it was hard keeping him amused with all the waiting around.

The vampires food hall was appalling, so dirty. Grubby sticky chairs and tables. I went and asked a staff member politely to wipe the table down and he handed me the cloth lol. Food took over 30 mins to come out and its basically like a KFC or McDonald's restaurant .

Great place to take your children for a day out. So much going on and plenty of attractions to cater for all tastes. One day is not enough time to see the whole park, considering the amount of time spent in queues. Pricewise, booking online More

Well we have been before and we always stay in the resorts hotel. The hotel is reasonable for the money . The food was good in the restaurant with the drinks quite expensive. As much as the hotel and the theme park drummed it into about social distancing there was absolutely NO enforcement of these rules despite being it is the law after all.
We queued for 2hrs for the zufari tour and it lasted 6 minutes. Totally trash!!!! The social distancing again abysmal and a lot of families like us were getting very fed up of it. After there is still a Pandemic in play .
Its places like this that will push a huge spike in a second wave of the Covid19 if they dont do anything about it

Went to the passholders day. (1st day of the season) you would expect the place to look fresh, lick of paint here and there but it looked so tired still. Last season the hand dryer at the mini zoo was broken....still broken!soap dispenser missing the button to get soap. The fox at the front of the gruffalo ride was still missing its ear, toilets were disgusting even at 10am and I remind you this is the first day of the season! There was so much wrong. Seriously considering not renewing when our passes end.

It's the perfect place for a family day out, especially when the weather is good. There are lots of animals and various playgrounds for the kids. I would recommend downloading the app and booking slots for the rides because the queues are quite long. We enjoyed the Vampire ride the most and the waiting time was only 20 minutes. Good parking facilities, for a charge.

Nice amazing place . Recommed going in morning as the queues are short but after 12:00 the queues are over 75 mins. Not much interesting animals even the fast queues are long aswell but overall fun place

Really great day out when in term time. Lots of things to do and enjoy. However in school holidays the struggle starts from parking, getting in, long Q's to rides, long Q's to yummy fresh delicious donuts, long Q's to get out of parking and joining the biggest Car park of UK, the M25. So if I have a choice I will stay away during school holidays. If children insist I will spend my day in driving and waiting in the Q and explaining then that I told you so!

We went when it was raining and in February so not everything was open, but even in the rain we had so much fun. Staff are nice and there is so much to do. We cant wait to go back I'd highly recommend it for anyone

Great day out with zoo and theme park available for the same price as just a theme park! They have a sealife centre too. Rides are not for thrill seekers although dragons fury and rattlesnake are enough to be fun.

Its a bit tired now needs a revamp. Closes at 5pm so in summer its too early. Ok for kids of your near by but would make the trip again just to go there. Take your own food. Really expensive!

Two rides were shut, one of which being the log flume, which is my favourite ride in the park, and two other rides broke down so we were stuck in the queue for ages. We were injured on the Rattlesnake and my mum's chicken looked undercooked. The only saving grace was the Kobra which was brilliant.

Great time in Chessington World of Adventures. Stayed on site, the rooms were fab with great views of the animals. Breakfast was terrible and cold but you can't win them all. I recommend taking your own food unless you want to pay silly prices in the park.

Booked online with pizza buffet, great day out. So much better doing it online saved so much time. Make sure you print them so they can scan when you get in. Only paid for parking once got there. Don't forget to pay for parking or else you wouldn't be able to get out from the barrier. Lot of up and down surface so wear good shoes. Great family day out. Not many animals lot of walking around to see everything. Good for kids with many rides.

Im not a fan of these places, so the fact there's 2 stars reflects that Chessington does an alright ish job considering. I just hate queuing for rides in an over crowded park for rides that make you feel sick and paying through the nose for everything from tickets to food and even parking.

We stayed one night at the Chessington resort, standard room one night with a view. The room was really good and clean. The cleaning and hygiene protocol is good. I did not enjoy the temple bay restaurant, the dinner was not good at all. The inclusive breakfast was good with good varieties.
The rides were good, the Chessington app helps with the live queue times. The zoo is really good, kids will enjoy.
The staff at Chessington are very helpful and are trying hard to keep up with the hygiene.
Overall a good stay.

Way too many people. We went at peak season the day after rain in London in August. Apparently there were 14000 people in the park that day. We arrived late as in 11am before we parked and were inside at 12. Left at 6pm. Only got on 2 roller coasters in entire day. They were super in fairness but the queue of 2 hours were nuts. Both were delayed (apparently someone puked one ride stopped for 30 minutes but we stuck it out). Also saw the sea lions show which were cool. Parking was well managed; food in restaurant was nice and efficient; app was useful so we hope to go back. But we will plan it better next time and get fast track ticket. At least they accepted the Kelloggs adult go free voucher. Could have been great but 2 thrilling rides in 6 hours is disappointing

Okay for a day out, but lacks in some areas.

Okay for a day out, but lacks in some areas.

Firstly the car park access dirt road, and leaving road are riddled with pot holes. If you drive anything with limited clearances, don't go. Don't let your kids out the car, as tiddlers could spend a week lost in some of them.

The park gets busy and the queues are horrid.

This place is really lacking investment and cleaning. Take 'Gruffalo' as an example. Only opened last year, but riddled with cob webs, appears half lights and effects no longer working and not as good as it was.

The new Tiger Rock is just dragon falls with a cage around it. Meant to be 4 tigers in there, but we only saw 1, hiding in a corner. You can't see them from the ride, and the artists impressions seem to have been just that, and nothing like the reality.

All in, this park needs massive investment and a NEW RIDE!!!! They keep changing the theme of old rides, rather than building something new, that would help keep queue times on other rides lower.

So much potential, but missed by Merlin.

Massive place lots of things.really was an adventure. Could do with more shady spots to eat a picnic and an improved map. The children want to go back. My feet are saying. Ahhh! Not to soon. Tickets and a pack lunch made it good value

Not good. Half the rides were not working including the new one room on a broom despite it being the first day it was due to open. When the Costa coffee shop machines not working. Staff not helpful and no announcements. In a queue for an hour to be told ride broken and no announcements. Not good!!!!

Nice, clean and there's is loads of different type of attractions. There is always cues to ride on the attractions. Food and drinks are not cheap. There is free refil bottles that you can use.
Safe place.

Plan your day to get the best value. As soon as you arrive make a b line directly to the ride you most want to go on. The places for eating areOk but not cheap and remember you can take sports bottles and ask for drinking water from the outlets.

It's ok, although rides could do with updating. Also horrendous queues for everything. Rides, food, toilets, everything. And parts of the structure for Dragons Fury ride look like they are wobbling slightly which is unnerving. However good variation of rides and activities.

It's huge and there is loads on offer for kids. It seems aimed at 4-13 year olds. There were huge queues for things you didn't think you'd need to queue for. For example, picking up an annual pass that you've bought online. Surely there's a better way? Also a lot of the park looks quite tired and depressed and could do with some refurbishment. Being able to go to one location and get rides, animals and a small but reasonable Sealife Centre is great for entertaining kids though. Definitely pleased I got an annual pass.

Update: Coming to the end of my annual pass and I doubt I will renew. The park is so badly neglected. What do you do with the money?! After a whole winter closed you come back and expect things to improve but they just get more and more tired.

We went on the first day of the part being opened and you would expect everything to be firing on all cylinders. Instead, half the rides were closed including the new one, Room on the Broom. This has replaced Hocus Pocus but it stopped working and no engineer could come to fix it. On the lamp post near the building was a goblin from the old Hocus Pocus ride. Just leaving it there? Can't be bothered to remove it?

There's a big sign on the way out that reminds customers to not forget their parking ticket and to go back to the main entrance if they have forgotten it. They haven't used parking tickets here for years! There's no reason this sign should still be here except for terrible management and/or laziness. Although it may seem like a minor thing it's a great example of what's wrong with the running of this park.

The food is also horrendous. Not only is it terrible quality it's massively overpriced.

Always great to visit but not every year. Some attractions looking tired and need a zing. Vampire ride exit is in another attraction! My boys loved it though as Rhett are 12 and can now ride all the rides!

We had a fantastic couple of days here with a good mix of rides to enjoy and animals to visit, although some of the queues for the larger rides were at times over 75min but the app was great for seeing live ride times! The live animal feeds were a good addition, and would recommend the Animal Antics show, all the staff were all friendly and helpful too, will definitely revisit!

Great theme park for all the family rides to suit all ages children also enjoyed the zoo aspect of the theme park.
Would also recommend the possibility of purchasing the Merlin Annual Passes which gives you 1 years access to all Merlin attractions for example
Chessington World of Adventures
Alton Towers
London Dungeon
Thorpe Park
Sea life
The Coca-Cola London Eye
Shrek tours Waterloo
Blackpool Tower
And many more

Chessington has improved so much that it's become one of my favourite Merlin attractions. My partner and I love taking our daughter here, even if it's just to see how the animals are doing!

Great place to go for a family day out and there are rides here for everyone in the family.

Good place for kids lots rides but make sure your kid is the right height because you can cue for a long time only to be not allowed on even if it' s a inch short. Try & go on off peak days so you can get around all the park also look for deals online so you can save money.

Not very pleased with our stay had to wait for santa for 55 minutes in the queue holding our 11 month old baby not an enjoyable time for our 2 children you don't get told that when you book.
There was kids crying as they had to wait so long not the experience I wanted for my family thanks Chessington.
I paid for a themed room but the room was in need of a refurbishment very tatty should have had a standard room.we have been coming to Chessington for the last 6 years maybe there won't be a 7th.
We have just booked a theme park in Europe for our next stay so I will compare both parks very soon.
