Very good fun with a 4yr old even on a rainy day. Still enough to do even with someone small.
Fantastic for the kids and a great day out.. Queues aren't too bad.. shame we didn't know that the restaurants were cashless until we were there but the Chicken Hut saved the day with a boneless bucket at a very reasonable price. great day had by all
Not my favourite theme park, but well worth a visit
Get ready to pay a lot of money to stand in a 1.5 hours queue for a single three minute ride. Forget social distancing. They should limit the number of people. The animals were good.
The gift shop needs to hold some fleece jackets to fit above 11yr olds .
The people that the park is aimed at to pull the elder age groups through the gates
Fun filled day, would advise getting a fast track tickets
Really good day out with all the family, young and old. Only let down was the cost. It isn't cheap to get in and then food and drink, even getting cash out, costs a lot.
Love going here as an adult but was dubious about taking a toddler. Was actually great, lots for us all to do and we had an amazing day! One star not given due to the price being so expensive unless you find a deal or book online prior. Also, trying to contact is difficult and the staff were not fully knowledgable on the phone.
Nice place, good rides and facilities. Very long queues for the main rides and many fairground type games trying to take even more of your money (difficult with kids). Park app giving live queue times extremely useful.
Great the first time round, and the second...
This was absolute fun for the whole family.
Fantastic days out with great support for kids with special needs. Changing Places toilet is really helping families with such needs! Very inclusive.
Kids will absolutely love it here ! There is something for every age group. While there are enough thrilling rides to keep older kids and grown ups busy there is also plenty for the little ones to do. Besides all the rides , usual fair ground game stalls and interactive shows there's the added bonus of animal attractions. My kids loved seeing the Lions and tigers up close. You can even watch them being fed at particular times. There's Gorillas, penguins and monkeys too. They also run seasonal themed events from time to time. Check their website for upcoming events. You could stay at one of the themed resorts for a bespoke
experience or there's a cheaper option of a premier Inn just a five minute walk away. Oh and there is go Ape and sea life too. You certainly won't be bored given the number of options available to suit every taste. There are plenty of restaurants providing decent food. Although I did find the veg options quite limited.
I went on a school trip and it was really fun. A lot of rides
Great thrilling rides just to busy and uncontrolled, on a average weekend he rides would be between 20 and 150mins.Its better staying in the new resort you can get there earlier and u get in for free.
One of the most liveliest places to visit! Great for families or groups of friend, there s so much to see and so much to do! The queuing will ache your feet but the food is delicious, the games are fun and the rides are brilliant! We went for our toddler so a lot of kid friendly rides here! The shops sell some lovely stuff, too
After reading the reviews, I was thinking am I reading about the wrong place here ? Because all were good then I checked the date and they were written months and months ago. So I clicked for the lowest reviews and it all come back with days ago last week etc, don t take your kids here summer holidays it s absouslte joke, you will go on about two rides as you will be queuing I promise u for most of your day. It s a dirty place too, toilets are disgusting, money grabbing park. Food is nasty. Flat drinks. Just nasty. They pump too many people through to make money not caring about family s experiences, there should be a limit on people so they can at least enjoy the park. I feel sorry for the families that travel all that way for disappointment. Lucky I don t live far at all. But if I did I would be so angry. Some thing has to be done about limiting people coming to this park on summer holidays. I m a family of 4 and I urge any family not to come to this park in summer holidays. Save your money and go else where.
Oh wow... What a fun filled day. Highly recommend for all family
Fun day out, queues as always but less today, car park improved a lot. Could do with more places to sit outside
More needs to be done to enhance the experience of the visitors.
All staff members were great.
Rises are good but ridiculous ques food establishments were awful low quality food and very high prices. Poor preperation for summer time drinks had no carbonation and few tri is were available. Cleanliness of vampire restaurant were bloody awful. As illustrated in picture.
ZERO (0) for parking arrangement, 3 for the facilities but 5 stars for the staff.
Staff are friendly and helpful, but maintenance could have been better. We were there for 2 days, the same roller-coaster (forget thr name) broken down but fixed within 30min in these 2 days. Broken water pipe causing flooding on the queue area for pirate boat. Should have been spent more time and manpower on maintenance.
We entered a queue saying 50 min of waiting time, but ended up waited for 1.5 hour.
Overall, it is just another theme park, but considered the entry fee (compares to those of worldwide well known theme parks) , you might probably have to accept that 1 hour waiting to get out.
Great place to visit with the family. There are rides for everybody. Food is a bit expensive but that's to be expected.
I would suggest getting newer rides and updating the maps and signage as it's not very easy to find the ride you are looking for
The Park has recently opened to the Public and the staff and management have some great processes in place to keep the public safe. We went with two toddlers and had a great time. Parking for everybody was in the Merlin Priority Parking More
The kids loved it, it wasn't overly busy either which was great, max we waited for a ride was 15mins. We popped into vampire restaurant to have some ice cream and it was clean and tidy, again, not busy. The Gruffalo summer party went down a storm with adults and kids. The story time was fab too
I mean, it was great and all but everything was too expensive and you won't be allowed in a restraunt unless your eating, the food was tasty but not cut properly and wer either to big with not much toppings or to small with one topping (at the pizza place)
The best place for rides and for holiday my dad normally takes me on the last day of holiday. The Zoo is incredible with incredible animals!!!!
Rides are dated, long queues, few rides out of action though put right quickly.
Overpriced. We had 2 for 1 tickets but still felt ripped off! Queues are too long, young staff on phones. Dirty and unkept appearance.
Opening weekend you would expect the rides to open. 5 rides not open. Looks like it needs a good clean and alot of work. First time here. You can tell which parks are the prioties. Legoland alton towers.
Had 2 really fun days here. The rides were worth queuing for, Cobra was great, got soaked on the monkey swing and I thought the Gruffalo river ride was really good, kids loved it too. Seal life and zoo included, There's a half hearted attempt at security on the way in and food is a bit expensive for the quality. Same company as lego land but much better.
Brilliant day out for children. I would advise go week day out in term time so not to busy
Good basic hotel with an excellent breakfast and helpful staff. Views over animal park
Took our 5yr old and spent 4-5hrs visiting. Had a great time though we skipped the zoo as we were there in December and did the zoo then. Highly recommend
Great place full of fun for people of all ages. I have very fond memory of days out here and can see why it is still popular. It has a good range of rides for all ages. There is a diverse range of food. My only criticisms are that it is expensive, busy (why can you not put a cap on tickets?) and can be quite polluted and the wasps
we always have a lovely time at chessington but were really disappointed to find that there was no dairy free milk for coffees anywhere in the park
Not been since I was about 12, rides are still fun, and staff are helpful
Fantastic two days in the best theme park for children under 15.
Got lucky ..... not packed today and was able to take kids on every ride at least twice . Easy to navigate great fun for whole family with kids 6-10 years old.
Disappointing experience. Advertised queue times were extremely inaccurate, which resulted in a stressful visit. My son's favourite ride 'Griffins Galleon' was closed with no explanation, and Zufari lasted only a few minutes and was cut short for no apparent reason. What a shame
Queues are tragic, waiting times exceed 1 hour sometimes reaching 2 hours. Signs are posted wrong and staff can't make their mind After queueing for 2h my kids got turned back even though staff at front of a queue told us we can enter. Needless to say we wasted 1/3 of a day in a queue on a ride we didn't use.
Lego land is nearby and much cheaper and better go there instead
Took my 2 kids here in july and they loved it stayed at safari hotel which was great and food was good hotel was clean and staff friendly. Were going again in few weeks
Really good fun. Thrill rides for us adults as well as kiddie stuff to enjoy with the entire family!
Too much waiting time. Unable to use Kellogg's vouchers which didn't highlight any exclusive dates.. used the empty plastic bottle machine to get half price for each person.
The zoo is an amazing place to visit especially with a young family because they can learn so many things about different animals.
First day was horrendous waiting 2+ hrs in the queue so we bounced back and had an amazing second day. So much easier to get on the rides the kids managed to go back again for second or third goes!
I did love most of the rides but a few things for me didn't sit right. We got there nice and early around 09.30am and had wanted to use the VIP parking area but we couldn't do this as no signs for this and know one we asked knew about it. More
We had the best time here food and staff are awsome my to kids are 5 and 8 and enjoyed it so much they don't want to leave, all the animals are well looked after and the rides around the park where great fun for all of us
Celebrate my nephew 6th birthday, definitely a 2 day park to enjoy fully. I recommend to get the speedy day pass high season.
Social distancing rules good but just a shame so few are following them
Lots of space and different themed rides. Gruffalo is great for younger children with plenty of rides for older children and adults. Zoo is quite cleverly woven through the resort and space for animals and welfare seemed good at first glance. Animal show was quite fun (with my 1 year old)
Haven t come here for years, this is a very good theme park, very good for young children and families. Food and drink is overpriced but it is a theme park. There is also a zoo and little sea life centre too.
The Graffalo trail,. Room on the broom and the Zufari is not to be missed!
Enjoyable for younger ones, tedious queuing, loud music, terrible cappuccino in the Vampire burger kitchen (the Costa opposite had no working machine). Why are the queues so long? We took a picnic so avoided drab restaurants and more queues, get more staff in!. Staff are helpful.
Dont stay at the resort, save your money and go to the premier Inn next door. Dirty bed linen and dirty room and the early access is laughable by the time you get let in and through the security checks normal day guests were in the park and waiting.
I have added a pic of the que for the vampire and Gruffalo ride at 9:45 absolute chaos
Very busy but fun. Well organised and a smooth experience. Our children 12 and 13 loved and would have stayed longer. I loved all the great animals which makes for a relaxing change from queueing and crazy rides. Slightly tatty in places. We would return (and I don't like theme parks!!)
Was an O.K. stay (after they found my booking)
The food is average in the hotel and not very tasty, we had both breakfast and dinner. The dinner in the temple restaurant is horrific! the music is just noise it's so loud and the lighting makes eating your food a guessing game.
The hotel is clean and tidy and my view was awesome, we didn't have enough towels for 3 people so glad I took my own.
Brilliant day! But need to bare in mind some disabled people can't stand in queues so some seating would be great
Went on the day they had a burst water main. No organisation what so ever. Next day park opened was limited water couldnt even get a hotdog also run out of ketchup everywhere in park and most toilets closed not good when u have kids. They shouldn't have opened but i suppose they were just thinking of there pockets rather than customer service.
Amazing place
Happy people
Good price for family
It was my sons birthday treat and we were very disappointed with our visit. This park has gone down hill ...
We got to the park for 10am but no rides were open until 10.45 so there were queues everywhere and no rides were moving. It was nearly 12pm by the time we got on our first ride. When we got on another one, it" BROKE DOWN."
The park is run by teenagers and a lot of them could do with learning some "customer service skills"
The zoo was very poor too... alot of the enclosures were empty... VERY DISAPPOINTED AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND!!!
Queues are far too long for non fast track. We arrived at 11am and left when the park closed but only got on 5 rides and that was because we had fast track for one of them!!!
Really nice place to spend with your kids. Easy to reach by train from London and 10min walk from the station. The entertainments are pretty simple and the range of animals not amazing but enjoyable.
Fantastic! Food was Good, Gruffalo was amazing. My kids loved it. Good for family day out especially during the long bank holiday weekend
Okay but not brilliant, needs a general update, but staff excellent
We visited chessington for a winter zoo day. It was great that it was so quiet however the cold made the animals a bit shy! Good for a half day visit but not much more than that.
just dont attempt to eat here. shocking prices. and quality. will never do that again
Terrible... traffic was awful to get there and Chessington was very busy. Now, they dont have the single riders available so, we only got to 3 rides... I wouldn't rush there at all
Lovely place. There is something for everyone in the family.
You can get glimpses of Lion very closely if you are lucky. My kids were amazed to see male Indian lion so close.
Must to see place for all.
Still an incredible way to spend a day out with the family after over 20 years since my 1st visit. It's not quite as large as it was then but still has the same amount of fun. Albeit from a different perspective. Our 2 year old couldn't go on much as most rides are 0.9 m and above, but that didn't stop him from having a best day. The rain tried it's hardest to spoil it, but it didn't stop us staying over 6 hours. It's a nice size theme park so it's not too many steps around the whole place. The animals and there homes were the highlight for us, especially the Tigers! If you haven't been, go. If you haven't and it's been a while, make sure you revisit soon.
Great place for kids, love the theme park and love the animals too. All round a great place to visit, I'm a Merlin annual passholder so enjoy unrestricted free entry and 20% off food, drink and merchandise.
Best day of my life. First time I've been to a theme park this big. I loved it. Went with my brother with free tickets from the sun I'd collected.
Beautiful journey as always. It is always a memorable experience to visit Chessington. Above everything its so easy to commute.
Fun family experience. Lots of activities for all ages. Would be 5 stars if the ques were not as long, the rides are not filled to capacity making it somewhat frustrating. There are a lot of food options, however they are costly, so bring your own food and snacks if you can.
Pricey but worth the money. High quality resort. Buffet food could be better.
Good day out for any one. Always check hight for the rides and be aware nor all rides may be open. Various food outlets at prices you would expect . Before prepared to que on rides for upto 2 hours in some cases. Plan you day in advance it may help
Good experiance for children but make sure you plan ahead. Or you'll be stuck in ques during the summer
Pretty good day, it was busy as one would expect at this time of the year but we managed to have a great day!
