The room was OK, but for $300 it would be nice to have a microwave and frig. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, we had a spider on a web blocking the way onto the balcony. The food at the grill was fairly bland. Not as good as I would have expected for the price. We booked a room for the 4th of July because we had heard they have a nice fireworks display, but were very disappointed to find out on the evening of the 4th that they had their fireworks on the 2nd. I did not see that anywhere when I was booking the room. I guess I should have done more research, but it never occurred to me that they would not have their 4th of July celebration on July 4th.

Disappointing to say the least...you would think your room would be readied for the guests arrival. But, I'd say our room hadn't been stepped into since at least March and its June 19th. The lamps and tables were dusty and old magazines had been in there dated Dec of 2019 with coffee stains on them..yuck!! They knew we were coming for our anniversary and not so much as a gold wrapped peanut in our " supposed beautiful lake view" room for our 50th!!! My Dad knew JOHN Q and I don't think he would be happy with the run down look of the pool area either...Also, they don't even straighten your room because of supposed "Covid" regulations but, they sure charge full price for everything!!! They've also told us for a year now, they're gonna paint the green roof sometime, because it looks like a haunted house on the hill.
.We love Branson and the lake, we've gone there for years, we even went to the Candlelight Inn on our honeymoon.

I have stayed here with my wife and daughter many many times since it was first built. During the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays it is the most spectacular beautiful accommodations available in the Ozarks and is as nice and comfortable as any accommodations I have stayed in inside the United States. This is John Q Hammons personal baby and you can tell it was built with class, comfort, service, some of the best food around and with some of the most spectacular views in the Branson area. You can certainly tell he oversaw the building of this resort as everything is first class. The 1 bedroom suite is perfect for a husband and wife with 1 or 2 small children. Service is impeccable, prices are a bit high for some people but well worth it for special occasions. My daughter has loved growing up staying there during the holidays and on summer vacations. I highly recommend it and I give accolades to Mr Hammons for building such a fine resort. Anytime I go to Branson I always try to stay at the Chateau on the Lake. It certainly makes the drive from Fort Smith, Arkansas well worth it.

Our family spent Labor Day Weekend there and we had a TREMENDOUS time! The resort is gorgeous, the staff is polite, professional & helpful, and access to the lake is perfect from their marina. They even had a fireworks display! A little pricey, but well worth it!

Went to visit a friend and spend the evening in Branson. Was very surprised there was not a refrigerator in the room. Also the TV was a bit strange to operate. If you want a view of the lake ...be sure to request it...otherwise you may be looking at the roof.

Very dirty place, and over priced, very rude staff, do not throw your cigarette butts in trash throw on the ground or you will get charged for a smoking fee, which i got charged because i put all my cig butts in my pocket then threw away in trash in room and they hit me for a $250 charge for so called smoking in the room. screw this place and staff never will stay again. keep your hand on your wallet at all times or they will steal it from you anyway they can

Food was tasty and the staff friendly. Had a little issue with the service during dinner but the management stepped up and fixed the problem.
It was hard to get wi fi on the 6 floor, Had to find a spot for a signal on the lobby level. Non the less, I would definitely come back.

This place is falling apart and not anywhere near what it was when it opened. Paint your roof it looks terrible. Dining room food is mediocre-at-best and overpriced. $16 for a cocktail in the lounge. If you charge 5 star prices than deliver what I'm paying for. Place is understaffed and managers are rude. Not coming back here anytime soon.

Pool-side food/beverage service, theater, private boat dock and beach on Table Rock, and more. Every employee was so kind and looking for opportunities to make the stay more comfortable. Simple things like automatically calling you by name when you call the front desk, bringing water and hand towels with menthol to each person at the outdoor pool, gentlemen to open the doors for you as you enter and exit, and so much more. The lake view was awesome! We loved it. We will definitely go back.

Nice looking place but came here for the view and I see the lobby roof out my window. This place seems empty so I'm sure better views but I am stuck with this. Not happy. So many places to stay around here.

This is a fantastic get-away tucked into the hills...

This is a fantastic get-away tucked into the hills by Branson, Missouri. It is set on the lake with a beautiful view. The building is magnificent, inside and outside. It looked so much like a castle that our 4 year old granddaughter thought she was a queen while she was there.

The room was a mountain view and over the HVA system. It did not interfere with our gorgeous view of the mountains. The Chateau has an indoor and outdoor pool and a hot tub. Since it was cool, we swam inside. We were the only ones there one evening and there was another couple who shared it the second night. It was fantastic!

There are vast rooms for conventions and meetings. There were at least 2 restaurants, a sweet shop with mouth-watering goodies, a bar, and a deli. On top of all of this, the movie theater in the Chateau had movies showing during the day!

If I have an opportunity to stay here again, I would do so in a heartbeat! Try it out so you'll feel special, too!

The food wonderful and plentiful during the party and the wait staff was always close by. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great. The breakfast the next morning was wonderful. Every one was very nice and helpful.

It was/is a very nice resort. Just really stinks right now because of covid that 50/75% of the amenities are "off" ..I feel like you are paying for PART of the resort experience... Almost everything for kids is down...no kids club, no movie theater... And there's no maid service, no bell hops, no valet....and they put us in room 412 which had a lovely view of the top of the kitchen's air conditioners ruining the view of the mountains and lake and you couldn't even open the balcony door to enjoy the beautiful fall weather without smelling the greasy meat smell from the kitchen

I gave it 4 stars just because I was not a guest here. My family and I went to see the gingerbread houses and they were adorable. They had beautiful Christmas decorations and a nativity scene set up. It was free so that was a plus.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but went for a conference so I can't speak for the rooms but the hotel it's self was beautiful. Gorgeous view. It has a playground for the kids which was awesome. Cute little ice cream shop, good food, gift shop. We want to stay when we go to the conference again we were that impressed.

My wife and I originally book this hotel through a separate booking site, And when we were greeted by Peter at the front desk we found that there was a problem with our reservation. Peter work with us, resolved our issues and we were in our beautiful room in minutes. Instead of going out on the town that evening we decided to dine in their feature restaurant, we found the food superb and our service was on point and very friendly. This level of service was throughout our stay. (Thank you Yolanda!) when we did venture out and returned we would wind down in the lounge and were greeted and served by Victoria she made us feel that we were being served by a personal friend. we relaxed listening to a great two-piece band playing there.
I never write reviews, but our stay at this hotel warranted this mention. My wife and I will always remember our stay here, the hotel is gorgeous, all of the staff so friendly and professional! Definitely we will be back!

This hotel needs some updating. It has good views but you pay for it. The spa was expensive but what I expected for Branson. Not impressed with the treatment but it was last minute so maybe that had something to do with it. We were charged the resort fee per day which was annoying because we were not allowed to use thing like the sauna. The gym was okay but nothing special. There was a sweet shop that had some great workers in it for both breakfast and dinner. The restaurant had okay food but lacked in service. There was also no cleaning service due to covid . Great location but lacking in almost all other accounts.

Management does not follow up on complaints. Managers do not listen to your issues and seem lost in space. Hotel Policies for GroupOn are against GroupOn policies. They force you to print out voucher which no one other in the world does. Computers in business center are horribly locked down and don't let you delete your own sensitive data. WILL NOT RETURN.
