Took my Jeep in for work covered under maintenance...

Took my Jeep in for work covered under maintenance contract, extensive work needed, done with no problem...until I got it back, runs rough as a cob, they say the computer says it is fine and it won't act up for them. It is constant, can't take it on any trips until it gets fixed.

Thanks to Dave C. my service adviser this story has a favorable ending, it is fixed and I'm editing my review.

Also, thank you Chapman Dodge for paying attention to these reviews.

Chapman Reneges on agreements.

Hands down worst car buying experience EVER! No exaggeration. We negotiated price for three days, and I was the one that conceded to their price. Once I agreed we set up a time to for me to come pay and leave. When I got their they had my wife, baby, and me wait around for an hour (during a health pandemic) before they reneged on their price. My salesperson, his direct supervisor, and the GSM all talked to me on the phone about the deal before we came in. Not one of them thought the deal (their deal) didn't work for them until we arrived.

The quality of work was fine. I initially called to set up a service appointment and was directed to the express service lane (10,000 mile service). I was told it would take an hour, but it took two. I had nowhere to be, so no big deal, but for someone else it may have been a big deal.

We just got our new Jeep Cherokee and couldn t be more happy. Stephen Brown and Leslie Horne were great to work with and made our experience much more enjoyable and relaxing than previous dealerships we went to. Stephen was amazing and made us feel like we were buying our car from one of our close friends rather than a guy we met that day. If you are going to buy your new car definitely ask for Stephen Brown or Leslie Horne.

Me and my wife had been in the market to buy a Dodge Charger . We were doing business through Eric Knox . We live in Victorville ca . We were told that we were approved and that all we had to do was drive to Scottsdale make our down payment and sign some papers . When we got there after driving five and half hours . The finance manager named Eric said that we can not get the deal done because Insufficient income requirement . Before leaving we asked multiple times that everything is finalized. The finance team didn t look at our bank statements that we sent them at 9 am that day until we got there at 6:30 pm .
My problem with them is it s clearly unprofessional
And ethically wrong to ask people to travel from a far place knowing they cant Qualify for the vehicle they desire to corner them into buying another Vehicle just to get a sale . After confronting Eric the finance manager stating to him that this is part their responsibility he was very rude to my wife And straight out said they take no responsibility for having us drive five hours for no reason. I hope anyone thinking about shopping here thinks twice and does them selves a favor stay away from here.

The new location and building is great with a comfortable customer lounge area. Easier access than the old location on McDowell. All the employees I interacted with when purchasing my new truck were great from the salesperson Jordan Colwell and the finance manager Nick Aliakbar and Julio (McCall?) that put the deal together.

We needed work done to our Town and Country van. They fixed electrical problems and had an appreciated shuttle to take us home and pick us up. They are very nice to deal with and the pricing is very fair for the quality of work they do. They return a "cleaned" car to you.

By far the best experience I've ever had working with a car dealership - I always felt like I was being listened to, everything was presented in a straightforward manner without any pressure to make a decision. So happy with my new Tiguan! I will definitely recommend Chapman VW to my friends - in Phoenix and Tucson (it's definitely worth the drive!).

I bought my car in Dec 17 and I had the best experience ever at Chapman Dodge. I was helped by Mike Hu and Christopher Miles. They are absolutely the best at what they do. I was looking for a Dodge Charger GT and Mike had owned a charger in the past. Therefore, he was able to help me in a higher level. They even brought my car from another location on that same day. They are amazing. Will definitely recommend. Super professional and they will go the extra mile.

I went to Chapman Dodge in Scottsdale and met Steve Self. He is an awesome guy and easy to deal with and didn't judge me (unlike an employee at Bill Luke Dodge on Camelback). He understood that I was a student researching for a future car to purchase. Steve made it a welcoming experience to test drive the Charger R/T and even searched if their R/T Scat Pack had arrived. He gave me more information when I asked him questions and even wanted to help me build and order my custom Charger. Steve Self from Chapman Dodge will earn my business in the future.

I want to offer my gratitude and strongest recommendation for Tyler Virgin. He truly goes above and beyond for his costumers. This guy is exactly what you'd want in a salesman- he's kind, super down to earth, knowledgeable, and HONEST!
If you're like us, we get pretty nervous buying cars, it's a big commitment and it's expensive. Chapman has a great reputation for a reason, there are no scams, no bait and switch, no b.s. and no trickery- they stand by what they sell and you can leave there knowing you didn't get hosed.
Thank you Tyler for your help, you are hands down who I will send my family and friends to. You're the best!

I made contact with Wyatt Chatburn late one evening. He spent quite a bit of time with me providing me with detailed information and answered all my questions. Set a tentative appointment the next day a Sunday. Still had a few questions. Texted Wyatt almost 3 hours before business hours and my appointment time. He responded back in minutes, answered all my questions, made a better deal for me and I was on my way for a 230 mile round trip with my wife and 92 year old mother in law. Wyatt was there to meet us and promptly brought around the jeep that he had detailed the night before. We couldn`t have been treated any better. Wyatt was just fantastic. I worked retail for Goodyear for years and it has been always very important to me to see how people are doing their job and how well they treat the people they are dealing with. The Deal isn`t the "DEAL" for me its how well I`m treated and how well the person does their job. I would highly recommend Chapman DCJ to anyone and especially this young man Wyatt. The only thing I couldn`t understand is why they wouldn`t take my Mother In Law in trade.

I had the best experience buying a vehicle from Chapman Dodge. The sales person that took care of me Brandon Bender he made this process so easy and he got me out in less than an hour!! I just moved to Arizona from Ohio and it s been so stressful but this was the best part of my move! Brandon was very polite, accommodating in every way and got me a really good deal on my vehicle! I was having a really bad day but this experience turned it around! I would highly recommend this dealership and ask for Brandon he will take really good care of you!

I had to make another visit to Chapman because my vehicle was totaled in less than a month... I called Brandon and he took really good care of me again! He found me the exact same Jeep even the same color! I was so happy! I got another really good deal on the vehicle and I was in and out really fast! I have never had a dealership work this hard for me! I highly recommend this place and please ask for Brandon he is the absolute best!

Stopped in to pick up my jeep from service. My wife is planning to but a Jeep Renegade Limited. Found just what I was looking for and the price quoted on the web looked very good. Little did I know that this price only applies to Pigeon Toed Purple Eaters. Internet price quoted was $24,998. Out the door turned out to be $4,000 more. The discounted price did not include the Fluff they install to jack up the price. Was told by the salesman that the discounts did not apply to me. They blew off a sale this year and a new Ram pickup next year.

We have been having battery problems for a while and kept putting it off. We pervious contactes a different location and they kept giving me a run around talking about an appointment. This location was awesome at reassuring me it would be taken care of through warranty and I don t need an appointment . Yes, we had to wait but they had a relaxing environment with refreshments. It was a good experience waiting with an 8 month old is a hard customer to please I would say. Micheal at Chapman gave us updates and made the process easy. Thank you for great service. P.S. I seen them cleaning and staff and visitors had mask. The one thing I thought was they vacuum/ clean the car for free along with top off and any maintenance recommendations but I guess that was not something a provide.

Simply amazing experience for a first time car buyer! They helped me get the car I wanted at the price I needed and could afford. Roland, Andy and Mike all helped me through this process and begin working on my application a couple hours before I arrived, because of my credit. Without giving too many details and needless to say, after some negotiations I was able to purchase the car I wanted and it was a pretty seamless process. They worked their butts off to help me! I would recommend them to anyone and hope your experience is as great as mine!

They also ran our credit through more than the1 place we told them to. Now every time i call i get the run around. I would like a call from the owner. I got a tire alert signal on my dash as i was on my way for a long road trip. Found Chapman VW available close by and just dropped in. Peter in Service got me right in to check the problem and found out I had a nail in my tire. Yikes...a flat tire in the desert is NO FUN. Peter and VW service fixed fast in 45 minutes and I was back on the road. I WILL return to Chapman for my next service. Thanks...Peter B.

I would recommend Brandon Bender to my best friend! I saw a vehicle online and called to find out if it was available. I have had more than one previous experience with other car dealerships telling me the vehicle was still available only to find out when I drove to the dealership - they could not find it or it was sold. Brandon answered the phone and within minutes of calling he had "eyes on" the vehicle. I told him I'd be there in an hour or so. When I pulled in, the vehicle was right in front of the entrance doors ready for a test drive. I have also had experiences with other salesmen knowing nothing about the vehicle they were selling. Not in this case...Brandon knowledge of the car I drove blew me away. The vehicle was more than fairly priced. I told Brandon was I was willing to pay and he went to bat for me. Again, within minutes he was back from the finance department telling me my offer had been accepted. He had the car detailed and made the purchase extremely pleasant, easy and best of all fast! I feel Brandon has a good feel for customers! No nonsense salesmanship for sure! Great customer service! Another shout out to Greg Limbeck in the finance dept. Again, fast, professional, knowledgeable customer service. We will be back for sure!

Do not buy a car from this place I had worked out a deal with them over the phone, then when I arrived the dealer changed my deal and had changed my price and it went up. This is not an honest car dealership and they do not take care of their clients or customers. I was assured through text messages that I would pay a certain price and when I got there they told me that they made a mistake and now my price has to go up. They wanted me to pay for their mistakes Because they don t know how to calculate taxes

Service department is terrible! I put in a warran...

Service department is terrible! I put in a warranty claim that is very simple five months ago. I have called at least 10 times and gone to the dealership twice to find out what is going on with my claim. When you call everybody pacifieds you and says oh I ll call you right back wIth your information, but never do. I have gone so far as to speak to the service manager and the manager in the sales department. I just called now and no one even answers the phone. I wish there was other dealerships closer to me because this one is the pits for service. If Negative stars were available that s what I would pick.

This is the second car we ve purchased from Chapman Dodge Scottsdale. The staff there is genuinely nice. The young man who sold us the car has an infectious positive energy which I really appreciated. The finance sign here here and here and initial here and here... was super kind too. As a mask wearer during this pandemic, I was also happy that, although Scottsdale lifted the mandate on mask wearing, many of the employees still wore their mask. I witnessed their public area cleaning process and felt very safe. Overall, the experience was amazing and stress-free! Thank you!

I recently won a settlement and want to buy a vehicle though there are a lot of options to test. Let s just say I could buy any car on the lot. With that being said, I no longer wanted to make a purchase from Darryl. Told him right from the get go I m here to test drive suvs before my final decision is made. He then asked me what my credit score was which was unnecessary at that time. Very unprofessional for a 55+ year old man. He definitely saw my young face and tried taking advantage of me. Don t buy from Darryl, that will be the best decision of 2017 you could make.

I had the best buying experience at this dealership, I had taken my truck in for service and when I was getting the rental car, I saw two men having a conversation out back so I approached them and asked if they were salesmen, one of them responded and asked what I was looking for. The rental truck that I was put into was a brand-new RAM 1500 and it had everything I wanted as in features. I told the salesman I would love to trade my truck in for that exact truck. He told me to finish up with the rental paper work and he will get information to me. By the time I was finished with the paperwork at the rental company, he had numbers put together. I was impressed, we sat down, might had gone to finance once or twice to make some changes and it was finalized. Michael Hu was my salesman and he was more than personable, he listened to my needs as well as took every I wanted into consideration. This was a spontaneous purchase but it all easily came together, from the sales team to the finance department everything went smooth. I plan to purchase from a chapman dealership for every purchase in the future.

I bought a an older SUV last October 2019 and at the time of purchase was told they had in-house financing (CAG Acceptance) and that I would have to purchase GAP coverage which I did. Chapman salesman and everyone I dealt with told me that GAP would cover of whatever was NOT covered if in an accident. NOT! I have dealt with rude and unprofessional people and at this point would highly recommend that you NOT purchase a vehicle from this place.

I scheduled routine maintenance and an investigati...

I scheduled routine maintenance and an investigation of a faulty Driver Memory Seat function on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.

DAVE COLWELL greeted me in a timely manner, listened to my concerns and watched as I demonstrated my problem.

I was very surprised that the memory seat problem was easily fixed by cycling the drivers seat fully forward and fully back as demonstrated by Dave. Apparently carwash personnel jerking the seats around can confuse the system as Dave explained to me. I fully expected that the car would be taken off to some technician and require an expensive part and/or labor to repair the problem. Previous dealerships have done that to me and milked the full coverage extended warranty. I am very impressed and thankful for the HONESTY and INTEGRITY of DAVE COLWELL and Chapman Jeep's service department.

The routine oil change process was done in a timely manner and the car was returned to me washed and ready to go with in the time stated for the servicing. I also noted that the audio system was still muted and on the channel I left it on. A minor point, but I did have to return a car once because the worker bees blew the tweeters and that dealership had to have the car for two more days to replace the speakers, not to mention numerous times of getting the car back with the audio system cranked up and on a channel I didn't recognize.

Bottom Line: Best service appointment ever! Thank you DAVE COLWELL!

Bill is a great service advisor. We have searched for a decent dealership and staff that actually care about our vehicle like we do. Before we took our Jeep Grand Cherokee to Chapman Dodge, multiple other dealers couldn't figure out our suspension noise and shake. Bill and his technician at Chapman found and fixed the problem. Simple as that. Great service from all advisors including Dan and Darryl. Thank you all for taking care of us.

If you want impeccable, amazing, and genuine service then I recommend requesting Heather Gaetke as your service advisor when you visit Chapman (Dodge) Scottsdale Autoplex. I cannot even write out all the outstanding accomplishments I received from being a customer of Heathers. Heather teamed up with Steve who is the shop foreman and working together they were able to make me the most satisfied customer. My repair was a complete nightmare; and not once during my frustration did they ever reciprocate these two only had positive words to keep me encouraged that they would get my repair completed and warranty their work. I couldn t have chosen a better dealership when deciding where to bring my car and I m so glad I had Steve and Heather on Chrysler s side to make sure I left a happy and satisfied customer.
Thank you tremendously Steve and Heather for all your hard work and upbeat attitudes. You re an asset to that company and I will continue to see you with my maintenance visits. You have a customer for life.

After almost 10 years of dealing with terrible customer service with Dodge Ram Dealers out of state, I finally found Daniel Boardman and Chapman Auto Plex to be a breath of fresh air! Daniel was so knowledgable of diesel engines, he most likely saved me $5,000 in future repairs. Additionally, Daniel's professionalism and desire to do what is right along with his follow up phone calls has ensured that Chapman now has a new customer for all future needs!

Very honest service department. Took my newly purchased vehicle in (purchased from different dealer) to check out the engine. Found frame damage and they weren't even looking for it. Thankfully, I took it to them and got my $ back from other dealer. only reason not 5 star because it is difficult to get in contact with them via phone and email. Was on hold for a while until I finally hung up. never got a call back. that would be the only thing I would request to be improved. Dave C was great.
