Carrano Air Contracting has been a great help in maintaining our Air Conditioning system for our household. They come out when scheduled, courteous, and experienced technicians check and fix the HVAC systems, whichever you contract for. The business staff in the office is always courteous and always emails my appointments as well as have the technician call before he comes. I would be glad to recommend Carrano Air Contracting, Inc. in Dayton, NJ to maintain and take care of your HVAC systems.

For some reason my heating unit would not go on last night, tried everything, figured a fuse might have blown, I called Carrano Air, they replaced my circuit board back in February, they did a good job with that. I called their phone number last night at 9:45pm, figured I would leave a message, a calling service answered, took down my information, someone from Carrano actually called me at 10:30PM, so fast, they got someone to my place today, heating fixed. Thank you so much

Very pleased with the service I received from Carrano Air. I highly recommend them, their professionalism is second to none.

Purchased a new AC and AH unit from them. Come to find out they cracked the condensation reservoir. They claim it will not be covered under warranty because it was cracked in 2 spots and that its from a sudden impact. This reservoir was cracked when installed and they are not taking responsibility. Initial call to the service manager, he said that the part will not be covered under warranty. I asked for the manufacturers information so I could contact them. An hour later, all of a sudden, he says that he was able to "pull some strings" and got the manufacturer to cover the part but not the labor (of course!!!). Also I was told that if the part was covered under warranty, then no charges. But after the service man came and inspected, he asked for payment. I asked for what and he said, didn't they tell you about the $90 service call charge? No one ever mentioned anything about a charge to come check out a warranty issue. This company is very shady and I DO NOT SUGGEST any one to use them. Use a more trustworthy provider!!!!!!

Very prompt service. By mistake, they overcharged me, which I didn't notice but they were nice enough to call us back and correct the mistake.
Will definitely hire them in the future.

Our AC/Heat unit broke and we needed to get a new one back in November (2014). It has been heating our home beautifully and we have been very pleased. Last week we received a phone call from a coordinator in their office telling us they would like to come out for a spring startup. We never even thought about how well the AC would work since we had not used it since our installation was in November. The woman on the phone was very pleasant and my husband and I were very pleased that they reached out to us to schedule the service on their own at no charge to us. We are very pleased with our experience with Carrano Air.

They where phenomenal, the owner Steve Carrano really knows what he s talking about. The service Tech Anthony is great and explained the issues. Will use again!

I purchased an air scrubber a year ago from Carrano. I have to say this was great purchase.My air is cleaner and dust is at a minimum. Great buy and I would recommend the air scrubber and Carrano.

I have been using these guys for 8 years. I have a Service Agreement with them. Never had a problem. A couple of winters ago the furnace would not start, they had a technician at my house in less than 2 hours an the problem was fixed. I am going to need a new furnace in the next few years, will use them.

I've been with Carrano form the time that Steve started his business. I was impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. He mapped out a plan to convert my previous house to gas and completed the job with a minimum of disruption. I have the team now doing maintenance on my new home and, as always, I am completely satisfied with the results. Carrono is highly recommended.

Called the company for a slow leak coming from a pipe that connects to a baseboard. Technician came and said he fixed it for approx 250. Approx a month later it was leaking again in the same spot. Called the company and they would'nt admit the job was done inadequately. I gave them a second chance as they said the joint needed to be replaced..They charged me full price and now approx a year later its leaking in the same spot. I would think twice before using this company for any repair work. Prices are high, service is poor.

Hired Carrano Air to replace my old air conditioning system. Steve and his team did a fantastic job. They fit me into a more energy efficient option which I'm very happy with. They re-routed duct work in my attic to give me more attic space as well as added new registers for additional cooling in rooms that weren't being adequately cooled. The staff was neat, knowledgeable and clean. I didn't have to do any clean up behind them which isn't always the case when hiring a contractor. The price was great and matches the service behind it!

Just recently had my furnace tuned up. They were on time, clean, and Kyle was very polite. I am very pleased with the service contract I have with them.

Carrano installed my unit about 7 years ago. I recently asked them to come by as the AC was not keeping up with extremely high temperatures lately and my condo association conducted inspection and noted several issues with exsiting unit (fins on the roof unit were bent, coolant lines not insulated properly & so on). Initial appointment conversations were pleasant & respectful.
Kareem arrived on time and had a respectful demeanor throughout. The issue arose when Kareem quoted me $1300+ for leak detection ($575) & charging coolant(the rest).
After initially agreeing for repairs I changed my mind within a few minutes before any work had started as this was a large expense considering unit costs $4500. I requested to sleep on it and get back to them the next day. The initial diagnosis fee quoted was $89.00 which would be "credited" toward services rendered should I choose to go with them for repairs. This was bumped to $184 when I said I need to think about the repairs.
I called Carrano and the gentleman told me they charge $90 to JUST SHOW UP at my door. This was never made clear to me and is highly inconsistent with what other HVAC repair companies charge. I declined to pay the additional amount assessed and requested that they apply the $89 to the repairs once I decide to move forward. His attitude switched instantly and he said he would not apply the credit. I decided to pay the $89 and find another HVAC repair company to complete the repairs. I find the conduct to be highly unprofessional and not inspiring trust which is key when as a homeowner I have to blindly trust the HVAC tech to tell me the truth about what is happening with my unit on the roof.
I e-mailed Kareem asking if he could send me the pictures he took of my rooftop unit which he has ignored. These pictures were taken by him upon my request to address what the condo inspection revealed.

The team that came to my house was quick and professional. They fixed a radiator in minutes that I was told by another company would cost $3000. Amazing service.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this company. I called for a service as the furnacce was making some squeaking noise. I was told on the call that I will be charged $89 plus tax for the technician to come and diagnose the problem. After the diagnosis, the technician would tell me what it would cost for the parts and labor to fix the problem. The guy came and checked the furnace and told me that the motor needs to be replaced and it will cost close to $800 for labor and parts. He also suggested that I should start looking at replacing the entire system. I asked him if I can just replace the furnace and he said that might not be a good option. I told him I need to think about the options and that I will get back to them in a few days. All this took about 20 - 25 minutes and I thought this was covered in the $89 that I was told.

To my surprise, the guy charged me another $80 on top of $89. I asked him what was that for. He said it is for his knowledge and advise.The $89 only covers the dispatching by the company and that he is charging me on top of that. I told him that this is not what I was told when I initially made the call to the company. He started arguing that I am not willing to pay for his services, knowledge and advise. Since I did not want to argue with him anymore, I just paid the money and told him clearly that I will never even consider calling them again.

I called the company again and provided this feedback. The lady on the phone told me that she does not see the invoice in the system and that she will check and call me back and she also said that if there has been a mistake, they will correct it. I am just waiting to hear from them. Also, I was told that I will receive my invoice in e-mail and I don't have it yet. I will never ever recommend this company to anyone.

Arrived promtly. DId a nice thorough job of testing and cleaning my complete Hot/cold AC unit. Good job highly recommend these folks.

Very nice people to work with. Extremely professional, honest, and reliable. Their expertise is evident. They take their time to diagnose the problems rather than doing a superficial job or putting band-aids . Their customer service is stellar too. Efficient, prompt, and responsive.

Mr. Carrano and his team came out, reviewed my system for what was wrong with it, checked on the warranty and was able to get me up and running under warranty for the parts. Very professional and fair guy. Since then, we recommended Carrano Air to family members, all of which are super happy.

Carrano Air services my Heating and Cooling and repaired my AC system over the summer when it was unbearable to be without air condition. I was scheduled immediately to get my system back up and running. The office is extremely polite and helpful and the technicians are always professional and respectful of my home whether it's a service They are performing or they are maintaining my systems. Called them for a small issue with leak and wound up paying for unnecessary refrigerant which added $400 to cost. This overfilling was confirmed by another HVAC company. They are scammers! Such a shame because we used them years ago and they were fine.

I had an old system that went out during the last Nor'Easter. I must of called 20 companies and none of them answered. Just about when I was about to give up and rent a hotel, I called Carrano Air and was promised a call back within 10minutes. The owner Steve called me and came out himself, was able to get us going again. My family and I were very happy and blessed that we got help right away. Thank you Steve!

If I could give this company (- 5 stars), I would. They tell you $89 for 15 minutes of analytical work to tell if something is wrong. Trust me, whatever they do will take longer and therefore add to your bill dramatically. I just paid over $210 to have them tell me everything is fine with my unit. They argued that the repairmen was there for an hour...he was there for 20 minutes tops and did nothing but hook up two hoses. He was also an hour late by the way. They have you sign an ipad that you can barely read to authorize service and then email you an invoice. I'd rather have the invoice in my hand to see what I'm being charged for before the tech leaves. Does no good after he's gone. Ridiculous company...USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Last year my sister-in-law needed to replace her AC/furnace system. My husband is a retired HVAC service man so he met with her and 3 HVAC companies. He recommended Carrano. This year when we needed to replace our system my husband only called Carrano because based on the work that was done and my sister-in-law's satisfaction he thought we talk to them first. Meeting with their salesman Herb, the same person my husband met last year, we were both pleased with his professionalism and honesty. We contracted Carrano. The two men that came to install the unit were on-time, very pleasant, and protected our flooring before starting any work then cleaned up everything when they finished in only 8 hours.

Horrible! There worker came to my house to fix the water heater, and spent 5 hours tinkering around, buying new part and then in the end he told us we had to buy a new water heater all together. Then expected us to pay for his 4 hours of time pass. He was literally useless yet demanded payment for parts we didn't even need.

The Technician was very knowledgeable, professional and explained everything that he did. Very impressed.

These folks installed my Air Conditioning system and performed follow up work on my unit. I'm pleased to say that all the people I've met from this firm are courteous, professional and honest. I've never been more pleased or satisfied. Use them and you won't regret it.

Furnace broke down last week, I called my usual guy, but he never called me back. Saw an add for Carrano in the local Westfield free Paper. Called them, they had someone there by the end of the day. The furnace needed a minor part but the technician had it on the truck, within an hour the furnace was working. They were not cheap but they were reasonable and reliable. Would recommend.

Called them. They had replaced the a/c at my condo several years ago. No problems at all. Just recently I noticed There was a leak into ceiling in basement. Called HOA management company to alert them not knowing where the leak was. HOA sent their own plumbers who found the leak to be from my unit. Called Carrano who Sent serviceman out in 2 days. Bill came at 8am and left 4:30 pm. The work took all day. Bill knew what he was doing and explained it clearly. Turns out there was a build up of sludge in the pipe causing water to back up and spill from my a/c condenser The sludge was 1 1/2 ft inside a 3/4 in pipe. Bill flushed the pipe and installed a connector pipe. Carrano is a good company to do business with. Would definitely call them again.

Most excellent, most courteous, most competent, most knowledgeable company we have ever done business with. Always polite, always punctual, always clean up after they work. They have replaced heating and cooling in our sixteen thousand square feet church building and have done an excellent job. Their prices are extremely fair. Entire congregation very pleased with the work that was done. I highly recommend this company and will definitely be doing business with them in the future. Unit was not kicking on and I called Carrano. They were at my house quickly and instead of telling me my unit needed tons of work, which they could have done, they let me know that all I needed was a small electrical part. They installed it and unit began working just fine. Thank you Anthony!!

Thought I was a business customer of theirs... I paid $1000 to have all my systems checked and analyzed in the winter and summer. After that I called them for service in Sparta and they told me they weren't doing business in Sparta anymore. But they still have a business storefront in town...What a waste of money and horrible communication with their customers.

Terrible service!
While I was able to schedule an appointment for AC service within 24 hours during a holiday weekend and the first hot days of the season, the technicians that came were very unprofessional and obviously did not know what they were doing.
Kareem and his partner (didn't get his name) arrived on time and at the top of the 5 hour window I was given (thankful for that), however, After showing them where my unit was and explaining that the landlord's maintenance guy recently removed the filter and hadn't gotten me a new one, Kareem kept insisting that the unit inside was missing a "cover" and unless we located it or got a new one they couldn't accurately diagnose the issue. While there was a cover that had been removed I kept telling Kareem that there was never a second cover for the unit. Kareem did reinstall the existing cover but neither he or his partner did any additional diagnostic work. They never checked the charge and after they left, my boyfriend and I realized Kareem had put the cover on incorrectly. After my boyfriend put it back on the right way (took all of 10 minutes) I called Kareem to ask if he could come back and check the charge now that the cover was put back on correctly. Kareem was rude and let me know that he put the cover back on as a courtesy to me and that it didn't matter if it was put back on the right way, I was still missing the second cover and there was nothing he could do until we either found it or got a new one.
I called my landlord and got the okay to call another HVAC company. They were able to come out within 2 hours (on a Saturday afternoon of a holiday weekend) and within 10 minutes this technician was able to let me know that the unit I have DOES NOT HAVE A SECOND COVER (yes it does need a filter but that wouldn't impact the ability to cool) and that it was in serious need of a charge (and there were several small leaks due to the fact that the unit had not been installed properly 2 years ago). Within 40 mintues the charging was done and in the 10 minutes it took for him to write up the paperwork/receipt, the temperature dropped degrees. I as write this, just about 2 hours after the work was done, the temperature has dropped about 15 degrees!
It is quite obvious to me that neither Kareem or his partner knew what they were doing, or had any interest in doing the work!
I will definitely NOT be calling your company again for any HVAC work nor will i recommend you to any family or friends.
And I am not sure if my landlords credit card (which had been given prior to the visit) was charged for the service call (since it wasn't my credit card I wasn't advised of any costs or charges) but if he was, I am going to recommend to him that he request a refund since NO diagnostic work was actually done beyond telling me that I was missing a cover that doesn't exist! Highly disappointing experience..(only gave one star because you came out within 24 hours)

We had an issue with our furnace recently and Carrano Air HVAC Contractors diagnosed the problem and fixed it. Since then our heating system has been running without a problem. The crew went above and beyond my expectations to service our furnace and fix other minor related issues. I am so happy I found these guys! I would recommend them to anyone!

Had a problem with a duct that was coming into my kitchen. There was no air coming out of it. Kenny (I think that was his name) came and found that the duct pipe had come apart so the air was blowing into the ceiling of the basement. He removed the tile in the ceiling put the pipes together and taped them. Fixed.

I install new furnace and new air condition unit, the sales guy said the humidifier is new no need to change the tech guys broke the humidifier and they were asking for extra $1000 bucks to replace, also it been three months they have not come to replace the unit

Came to fix my A/C. Was told it was the capacitor which I already Knew This was the second guy to come out. The first guy wanted $500 for a 15 minute job on a $20 item. Carrano was less than 1/2 that. Thanks Guys.

I had my ductless HVAC system checked out and serviced. The entire team-from the initial phone call, to the service team member on site-was professional, punctual and worked within our needed timeframe/budget.

I had an air conditioner installed 10 years ago, over the years I noticed there was a panel missing from the outside unit a small panel one time I noticed a rat was dead was stuck in the unit if that panel was installed with the unit the rat could not have gotten in so I called them up the boss and one of the employees gave a song and dance story saying the unit did not come with the unit after I spent 5,000 for the unit to be installed.
these guys are sleazy I do not recommend them

My AC system was installed eight years ago. I have paperwork that says I should have a 10 parts warranty. I recently needed a major repair; as a result, I learned that the units were never registered. I contacted two dealers for repair estimates. The original dealer (Carrano) told me they would do me a favor by honoring my warranty and not charging for the part; only labor. Another dealer gave an estimate for both labor and part. The ironic thing is the second dealer s price was less than Carrano s; by hundreds. In addition, the second dealer provided window units while I waited for the parts. I can t say enough about how disappointed I am with their customer service.

I have been using carrano for over 30 yrs.they have replaced my home ac,heating unit & recently my water heater..very through always leave my home as it was before..they also installed 2 heating units at my investment property...this is one of the best companies around.they do quality work.

Heating broke down last night. Called them at 8.30pm because I saw that they had 24 hour service. Told me they would have someone over by 8am the next morning, Guy came and had the heating working within an hour. Thank You.

Carrano Air replaced the compressor in my central A/C that broke in the dead of the summer. They were honest and transparent and helped me pick the best option for myself to get my A/C working again. Would recommend!

Furnace stopped working. Called them, they had someone out the same day. Fixed and working within an hour. I wouldn't say they were cheap, but they provided good value. Will use again when needed.

I had a very bad customer experience started from not disclosing the charge unless after an hour after arrival, the technician could not able to get me a price for the spare parts until he contacted his office to walk him through his iPad menus, later I found that another parts are also needed not mentioned and no sort of grantee can be provided for over a thousand dollar charge, when I asked if this this better to replace the furnace they found no sales person available to answer my questions regarding a new replacement, I have asked the technician to send me the diagnosing report by email it is been 10 days without receiving any report, I got Zero information from time wasted that costs $231, later I able to fix the furnace with a third of provided price by another contractor in one hour with guarantee and no replacement is needed.

I called Carrano Air to come out to my home because my compressor was not running. The tech who came to my home was ontime, knowledgeable and polite. The problem ended up being a simple broken wire that was causing the compressor to not come on. The tech was very honest and could have told me the compressor needed to be replaced instead of a simple fix. Great company and i would highly recommend them to everyone i know. If you want a honest, reasonability priced company you have to call Carrano!

The last week or so has been really hot and humid so of course my AC goes out. I called Carrano Air and their service guy Kareem came out to me that same day. He informed me of my problem and got me up and running. My system was 17 years old so I meet with sales rep Herb who was very knowledgeable. I purchased a new system and Pete and the install team were very neat and did a great job.
