Fast on time clean car cheaper smoother and better than any other way to airport!!!

My old boss had originally recommended Carmel to me and I've used them ever since. Very reliable, courteous drivers and always on time. I like the updates they've made to the app which make it very convenient when using them for airport pick ups. Prices are always competitive - and often lower than the ride share services at prime times. As a disclaimer, I did receive a small coupon for my next ride by writing this review, but that didn't change my opinion.

I had a good experience travelling from manhattan to JFK early in the morning with Carmel Car service! It is convenient, secured (as you will know the driver who pick you up) and affordable (cheaper than the other car service apps I have used!). This was so easy - as soon as we retrieved our luggage, I clicked the button that we were ready and up pops all of our driver information including picture. Maria was on time, professional, courteous and gave us a tour as she was driving us to our hotel. Paying was super easy as well - just pull up the app again, hit pay and that s it - I received an email within seconds. I have 2 more rides booked with Carmel over the next week and highly recommend them for anyone who is in the NYC area. If you sign up ad use their app for certain rides (from / to airport, etc), you automatically get $6 is car cash too :)

Reliable, trustworthy. My ship was delayed so I was late, they waited for me. Best of all, my driver got me to my train that I was sure I had missed. I love Carmel. I was NOT paid to review them. I live in Florida and visit New York. When I visit, I will ONLY use Carmel.

Service was excellent. Driver was early and got us to LaGuardia in a timely fashion. Cost was slightly more than cab but taxis not that available in Brooklyn so it made it stress free. Just booked on website.

My Mother, Father and Aunt booked Carmel for Thanksgiving day hoping to see their son , daughter -n-law and grands kids but they were left in a parking garage in 22 degrees after waiting on them for an hour and being told they were on their way . The last phone call they received notified them that all of a sudden Carmel was out of cars!!! My parents (who are almost 70) and Aunt had a reservation for weeks and now they are left in a parking garage at LaGuargia on Thanksgiving in the freezing cold ! Shame on you, Carmel!

The driver was very nice and professional. He was waiting for us when we got to the pickup area. He got us to the hotel quickly and safely.

great to be met after a long flight and deposited to our accommodation so smoothly

I chose Carmel because they have been in NYC a very long time and their commercials are a bit home made which I liked. I am tired of the surcharges of the Uber crowd, and the no shows of the budget car servcices. With Carmel car service, I found a very professional environment, concerned about being on time, letting me know the costs up front, and how to use their very very well thought out app to get where I need to go. So far, I have loved the experience.

When competitors like Uber and Lyft are offering easier to book service, to me it was all about the price. Carmel charged me a fix price that was 30% lower than Uber
And the driver doesn t charge you for the 2 min it takes you to load the luggage etc.
when it comes to tip and toll Carmel policy is strange and a bit u fair. You pay toll no matter what. It s their way to make money. There was no toll on the way to the airport. There is toll going back. But let s be honest , the driver picks up someone so I feel that they double dip

I called and asked for a limo for a ride home after visiting a dying relative. They started requesting my flight number, which should not matter, and were very rude. After I gave them it, they said nice try kid and hung up. Figuring it was just one employee, I called again, just to get an immediate hang up after saying hello. Terrible experience and wasn t able to get a limo in the end. Wouldn t recommend for anyone!

Excellent Experience. I have used Carmel for many years. This time, Traveling from JFK home to Manhattan with a baby means lots of luggage and logistics to consider. Dustin, our driver was really patient and great, loaded the car in a jiffy and helped me with the baby seat. He even helped me bring up our luggage to the front door of our building. The SUV was clean and comfortable. We had a nice conversation too!

On time, professional, friendly, extremely helpful with luggage, good driving, at a fair price. Would absolutely use again.

Great service! Whenever my husband and I visit NYC, we always use Carmel to transport us to and from either JFK or Newark Airports. Their drivers are prompt and cars are clean. Their rates are competitive and reasonable. We are very pleased with their service.

Picked up my suitcases at baggage claim in LGA, alerted CARMEL through their APP and the car met me immediately. Ride was smooth and without incident. I booked with CARMEL for its reliability and was not disappointed.

The driver was on time, very polite, and knowledgeable, and helpful with my luggage. Carmel confirmed a few times before I actually was picked up, due to my flight changing a d were so accommodating. Our wait at JFK was less than 6 minutes, and the courteous driver retrieved our bags from the curb. The SUV was clean and comfortable, and having selected the option to include tolls made the drive to Time Square more comfortable than we could have imagined! Carmel gets better each time!

The only downside was that there was a bit of smell in the car... of old leather.. not so bad. All in all I would recommend Carmel Limo/Car service for anyone.

We just used Carmel for a ride from JFK to Brooklyn with our toddler in tow. The driver was great, even when she threw up in her car seat! He was quick with paper towels and a plastic bag, and didn t mention the smell at all. I was sure to tip well and clean up everything. Luckily the car seat kept it contained.

I received a $10 credit for writing this review. But it s all true... luckily we also got into our hotel early (redeye flight), so we re in the process of bathing now!

My experience with Carmel is so stress free! Any time I m traveling, I prefer to order with them over Uber or Lyft. They are always on time, polite, and help me with my bags! I don t have to stress about there being a car available when I need it, and I don t have to lift my luggage out of the car! Total win in my book.

Our trip from the airport into the city was amazing. I can t remember our drivers name but he was absolutely wonderful. Sadly we weren t allowed to ask for him on the return trip due to their fairness rule. Really wish we could have!!!

We used Carmel to go from LGA to Lexington Ave. Our driver arrived quickly. We waited maybe 10 minutes during which time he was contacting me to let me know he was inside the airport trying to get yo us. The Uber line was 25+ people deep so I m very glad we didn t go that route. Gurmail Singh was friendly and very transparent about the reasons for the traffic which was helpful. His car was clean and smoke free. i was nervous to use Carmel because I ve seen some bad reviews. We have been using them since 2009. Our experience this time (and the other times) was excellent.

Most excellent! I made reservations on their easy to use web site, printed my voucher. When we arrived at the airport I called the number provided and a driver with my name in his window arrived within a few minutes. No questions asked, the address he was to drive us to was on his device on the dashboard of the car. The car was very clean, the driver shared with any questions we asked. We had no added costs, like toll, etc. The traffic was heavy, but no extra fee due to it. We will definitely use this service again!

Driver was 10 minutes early at our home and very helpful with our luggage. The car was clean and the driving smooth. We arrived at JFK airport earlier than anticpated.
I regularly use Carmel on trips to or from my home in Larchmont NY to airports in my area and find the service very reliable.
Please note I expect to receive a$20 discount on my next ride for submitting this review.

I used again Carmel car service on December 31 to pick me up at JFK airport and drive me home in Larchmont NY. I called the service after I went through customs; the car came 7 minutes later, the driver was friendly and helped with luggage and drove us safely at home.

The phone operators are always polite and patient. The communication during and after each transaction is clear, concise, and accurate. The fees are competitive compared to shuttle, cabs, Uber, and Lyft services. The drivers are safe, respectful, and turn up before your pickup time. Highly recommended.

We used Carmel taxi service from Newark airport to NYC.
Cheaper than NYC and NJ cabs.
Prompt, courteous, will use again.

Excellent service from midtown to JFK. On time pick up, and we were given a choice of using toll roads or not. Very easy to book through the app. Highly recommended.

I made a last-minute call for a 1230AM pickup at JFK. Not only did they accept my request, but the driver was there within 20 minutes! He was extremely courteous and helpful, and was an excellent driver. I was totally impressed. Both my trips with Carmel have been outstanding

Pick up from La Guardia was smooth and efficient. I had booked online weeks before and an email was sent with detailed instructions on how to get the car. The driver is waiting in the parking garage with your name on a paper so there s no doubt where to go. I love how clean the cars are and service is great. The drivers are the most courteous and make you comfortable for your ride. I ve had rides on other car services and they don t match the professionalism of Carmel. Highly recommend!

I admit I am receiving $10 car cash for this review, but I assure yu, I would have done it for free. I asked for an 8:30 am pickup, driver there at 8:20am. had all my info at hand, took me where I needed to go, taking my preferred route, skirting traffic spectacularly. Bravo!

Easy to book. Good price, but I felt the toll charge was higher than it should have been and no one could provide me with a copy of the actual toll payments.

My mom is a senior citizen and she used Carmel from NYC to NJ RT. on Thanksgiving. The drivers were very nice, professional. Even 30 min early. We've Carmel for years.

Thank you for providing such great service! My driver took me all the way from LGA -> Hauppauge - Long Island. My driver was super nice, patient when I couldn't locate him in the LGA parking garage, and got me to my destination quickly and smoothly, despite the rush hour traffic. I usually take the train, but with the virus - decided to take a car. I looked at Lyft - and this service was MUCH more affordable, including tip. This is much more preferred as I know Lyft doesn't treat their drivers fairly. Thank you! Despite the disclaimer below, I was going to post this anyway.

I found Carmel to be the most reasonable for an out of town ride and I used them this morning. The driver was prompt and extremely efficient, driving me to an appointment through heavy early morning traffic and actually arriving early. The car was comfortable and i will continue to use their servide.

I am not happy with this car service. I waited for over a half hour for a car that was a few minutes away and gave up and got a taxi. I was late to my event.
I hope the other drivers are more considerate.

Do not use Carmel Limo. We booked a car for four suitcases and when they sent a car too small to hold four we were told we had to pay $10 to put it in the front seat. Dispatcher was rude and basically said we had to either give him our credit card security code, hand the driver cash or get out. Driver was horrible and tip was unfortunately prepaid.

I rode in a Camel car from the NYU Langone Center on East 38th Street to Grand Central Terminal during rush hour on Thursday, 2/27/20. I made a last minute change to my desired arrival time, but Carmel easily accommodated that change.

The driver was right on time--in fact, a couple of minutes early. The car, a very clean black SUV, had a door that opened automatically, which was a welcome feature. Even so, the driver got out of the car to help me get in. (I am elderly and walk with a cane.) He was friendly, courteous, and professional. The ride to GCT was safe and quick. I'll certainly use Carmel again.

It was a good ride. The driver was a safe driver . The app frustrated me because it changed the time of my reservation so I had to call for a car to come .

Used Carmel for pickup at JFK Airport April 20. App helped me identify arriving car which came minutes after booking ride. Driver was courteous and got me to my destination safely and quickly.

I reserved a car the night before I had to be at a doctor's appointment 25 blocks from my apartment. The car arrive right on time. It was clean and contained a plastic separation between the driver and the passenger compartment - important during these pandemic days. The driver delivered me to my destination with plenty of time to spare.

Very courteous drivers, who often arrive early. Riding with our small child, I am always concerned about having a safe driver. Carmel drivers are cautious, so I can relax during the ride. Very good prices, too. By choosing to write a review, they give you a discount toward your next ride.

This is my review but I am awarded $10 Car cash from Carmel for sharing i use Carmel every time I go to the airport here in NYC. I just need the security of knowing I'll have a ride. Trying to get a cab is just too unreliable, and Lyft or Uber is more expensive that Carmel. The ride is smooth and I've never missed a flight, or even been close. I'll continue to use Carmel as long as I have to fly!

Took a bit for them to pick us up from the airport! But the ride was nice and the car was super clean!
