Good Place to get service and buy a new car or truck
They are definitely getting better in their service department, wait times are shorter than they have been in the past. Would give five stars but my experience with the sales department when I purchased my vehicle was not a good experience. I needed them to replace the factory rear shocks with shocks that matched the 3" lift that was on the truck when I bought it new, but kept getting the run around. I do recommended the service department, at least they are making an effort to keep customers coming back for service.

Knowledgeable about inventory and got straight to what I wanted in both quality and budget. None of the typical run around, trying to talk me into something I wasn t sure of, hoping for a bigger commission. Finance department deserves a raise!
Purchased 4 vehicles from them....last time I tried to trade my 4runner (that I purchased from them) they it devalued in 2 years 7 thousand dollars mostly because it had been in a wreck with an airbag deployment. Which they did not tell me about when I purchased it from them originally. Also only 20 thousand miles more on the vehicle. Smh....will not be going back.
First time bringing my vehicle here and from conversations on the phone to getting my car serviced, the guys were Awesome. Decided to wait on my vehicle and everyone was very friendly.
I had a pretty awful experience with Carlock Toyota. First, I spoke with 3 salesmen on 3 separate occasions and none of them helped me until I told them I was looking at a different dealership. Second, I asked if they could negotiate on the price since I was gonna pay cash for a brand new car. They said their cars were priced to sale and that was the best deal. Little did they know I was looking at the Kelly Blue Book Value fair market price. Thirdly, they were pricing all their vehicles 3 to 4 thousand over the median out the door fair purchase price. They also didn t offer any military discounts. I don t feel entitled but coupled with the above shortcomings I was fairly disappointed. I would not recommend doing business with them if you want a good deal.
I m leaving a one star review because every time I ve called the service department I get a disgruntled employee. You would think they would treat every customer with kindness right now- wanting to acquire as much business as possible. Definitely going somewhere else.
I'm sure there are some great people that work here, unfortunately, I didn't run into any in the service department. They kept our car in the shop for over a month without giving updates or offering anything for the inconvenience, not even an apology. Seemed as if our car being there was more of an inconvenience for them.
They did $1500 worth of work on our Scion FRS once they finally realized what the issue was. The first week was spent misdiagnosing the issue with our service advisor, Blake Vandergriff, telling us he never liked the FRS and badmouthing Subaru. I guess he doesn't realize Toyota owns part of Subaru...and that the dealership he works at sells the car he's putting down. I'm thinking you aren't supposed to criticize the products you sell especially when you know nothing about them, but what do I know?
I could deal with the slow service (parts being backordered) but I guess I'm used to companies compensating for that with the very least good customer service. While we love Toyotas and will buy more in the future, I won't be buying one from Carlock Toyota of Tupelo.

Carlock Toyota was buzzing like a beehive when I was there looking at their inventory! Salesmen were all busy helping shoppers but took time to smile and speak to everyone. Quincy, a young man of 26 whose maturity and professionalism belied his years, patiently and expertly guided me through the process. He was friendly, funny, and courteous throughout!!
Jim Surratt went out of his way to close the sale, and I m gratefully indebted to him! The waiting area for owners having their cars serviced was stocked with beverages and a pastry case stocked with delicious looking sweets. A hot dog machine is planned for the area also. Talk about customer service!! Many thanks to Carlock Toyota ... loving my new Toyota Yaris!!!!

Myself and family live in Mobile, Al. We traveled to Tupelo Friday to visit my parents. My truck messed up and was able to get it to them. Tim Turner met mw and immediately had the truck inside getting diagnosed. They gave me a loaner for the night and by Saturday morning my truck was fixed and ready to go. Tim treated me amazing and would recognize Carlock to anyone purchasing a vehicle.
They DO NOT exemplify professionalism by no means. Customer Service is non-exsistant once the purchase is made. I can't get a call back from the General Manager nor the Sales Manager to resolve my issue and working with the Salesman isn't happening. They also don't stand behind the promotions that they advertise. JOKE.
PSA: Do not ever buy a vehicle from Carlock Toyota of Tupelo. I was promised that Tennessee taxes were calculated correctly (after asking several times bc I know someone who went through that hassle) and financed in with my purchase. Almost a month later, and 3 (7 day drive out tags later)my tag information went through to my county clerk and now apparently I owe close to $1000 to be able to pick up my tags. I personally asked my credit not to be shopped, they did it. I saw the finance manager bump my interest rate up from what I was originally approved ( I know that's how they make their money and my rate was still acceptable which is why I purchased) and now this tag mess. I cannot get anyone to call me back and customer service has apparently gone out the door when they had my money.
I've been coming here for my car service since 2013 and I am througly happy. If you own a Toyota this place is where you'd want to come to get it serviced.
Very nice service! I had to get serviced during work, so I dropped off my car and a kind employee brought me back to my office! A friend dropped me off after work, and my car was ready to go! I highly recommend this place.

They tell you what you want to hear to make the deal. Expect them to always try to slip something into your contract that you didnt ask for. After you purchase, don't expect service to be any better than sales. I am a Toyota employee. We have bought 4 new cars from Carlock, but will go elsewhere for our next new Toyota.
Wouldn t even give them one star if I didn t have to. Do not go here to have your vehicle worked on, their service department will charge you an un godly amount. Went there for a bad pulley and they tried to tell me it was the tensioner and belt and the tensioner was $130 (auto zone $53) and belt was 130 (auto zone $31) when I called and told them I was gonna take care of it myself they tried to re-negotiate on prices. Long story short if you have the know how or know a good mechanic buy the parts and do it yourself! I went from spending $410 Toyota price labor and all, to spending $92 and doing it myself which took all of 30 minutes. Their service department is a joke! Everything about this place is a joke really from their service department to their management.
I was passing through on a long trip and had a brake malfunction due to a mistake in maintenance a day before (not at Carlock). The team at Carlock took care of me and worked with me and cut the cost best they could. It took a long time but that's because they did it right in addition to the job being very specific and tedious. I'm from south Carolina and I'd come get a vehicle from them because they repair department was as honest as it gets based on my maintenance experience there. Their service advisor, Brandon Jenkins, is the man as far as I'm concerned.

Do not go here to buy a vehicle. These people are shady and don't care about the customer. They all cover for each other and say the other person "isn't there" when you call about a problem. Then if you call back and talk to someone different, the person is "busy with a customer". I cancelled the extended warranty one day after purchasing a new vehicle and it has been 5 months and they have not refunded my money. FIVE MONTHS.
Bad experience. I saw a car listed at a price and after I exchanged few e-mails with dealer they added 2.000 $ to the price in an instant. Bad business. I would not recommend buying from them . I would give them 0 stars if I could.
Bought a 2016 Rav 4 went to have oil change, they left the oil filter out ,went back to inform them ,they said it would not hurt anything if it would have it would of done before now. I believe that they should should have at least extended my warranty, but no they wouldn't do anything about it ,don't have your car serviced there

I didn't leave that day with a car because I couldn't drive two, but they delivered it personally to my door a few hours away and helped me in every way possible. The employees at carlock toyota put the dumb in dumbasses! They are truly some of the most incompetent "business men and women" I have ever experienced! I vow to make it my mission to inform whoever is interested in hearing that you should stay away from this dealership. If they could find any way to screw us over, they did. Carlock was extremely helpful when we broke down on a trip to Atlanta. They provided us with a car that allowed us to complete our trip. Carlock made the necessary repairs to our car in a most expedient time frame. We recomend their service and dealership to all in their area.
Just brought my husband a beautiful brand new 4 wheel drive toyota truck, we had a great experience, mostly due to the great sales man that we got, he was calm and not pushy in any way. Covid friendly and clean building with a Starbucks coffee machine. I dont know if everyone got the same good experience that we did, but mark , our sales person made it a great experience and we look forward to going back.

This staff went above and beyond for me! I had been to 3 dealerships previously, was worn out and ready to give up on a new car. They worked with me and for me for 2.5 hours and made the deal. Even with my less than wonderful credit, I got a decent interest rate and monthly payment. This dealership gave me significantly more on my trade than anywhere else had offered. The only thing I wish I had done differently would be go to them FIRST! In particular, Daniel Payne, Mark Turner, and I believe a finance personnel named Tim, worked especially hard on my trade and purchase. Go see them!

Ordered parts online, paid $30 for overnight for expedited delivery as parts were needed ASAP, and according to their website, I would have parts on the 3rd day. 3 days later had to contact asking them for update on order as the delivery date wasn't going to be met. After multiple emails, they said "they are not amazon" and they "sorry i feel this way".
As retaliation of my complaint, they refunded me the shipping fee and sent the order priority mail instead of overnight causing further delays. Even the shipping order had someone handwriting to overnight, which they did not. All i asked was a refund of the difference between standard shipping and the overnight. But they did what they wanted anyway.
Avoid doing business here, their customer service is appalling!

Parts Manager from dealership called to apologize. He refunded me my money and sent me couple shirts and hats as an apology gift. While he was nice and made it right, the whole experience was still unnecessarily difficult and shouldn't have had to come to this anyhow.
I purchased a 4runner for my daughter last week and had a great buying experience. Sales team was patient and price was fair. Will be back for my wife's new car when her lease is up.
