The food is amazing. Love the bowls and the device is great. Staff is very polite and professional. Love it here and the patio at night is amazing on a clear night!

Great location along the water. Spacious restaurant with super friendly staff. It has a child's menu for the young ones. Plenty of tasty options for the adults

The leaders of the night crew were lazy and didn't help or do anything else but stand and talk bill times were over 45 mins and capacity was only maybe 40 percent not impressed heard it was a new crew of say find new leaders as I've been in the food industry for 16 yrs

Great food with great views! Only complaint is quite pricey for the quality of food.

The Roasted Sablefish with miso-sake marinade, wok-fried rice, and market vegetables is merely divine. I love the lively atmosphere and the accommodating staff. If you're looking for dinner with a view, Cadero's is an excellent choice. There are a variety of delicious, moderately priced entrees on the menu. The lounge is an entertaining and comfortable area to sit back and have a few cocktails while waiting to be seated. Dinner on the patio at Cardero's with friends and family makes the perfect dining experience.

Food was good, not excellent, but the service was very good. Both friendly and effective.

Had dinner there two out of three evenings and on both ocassions we were completely satisfied. My wife had the Ling Cod special and was delighted with the meal. We highly recommend going there.

Used to be a good place for drinks and food.. but quality has gone down hill over the years. Was a frequent patron here in the past, but not so much now. It's become one of those touristy spots where the view is nice but just ok food. The bar is decent place to grab some drinks still.. just pass on the rest.

Lovely restaurant. A group of friends and I had dinner here. The staff were very accommodating and kindly welcomed those few members of our party that arrived late. The front of house and wait staff were professional and courteous. Compliments to the chef and their helpers too. The food was excellent.

I ve eaten here a couple of days ago, for lunch; I ve asked for a table on the patio, and even if it was quite cold outside, the patio was warmed up and protected from the wind.
From where I was seated you can enjoy a wonderful view of the harbor as well as you are inside.
I ve ordered as a main, the Cardero s signature, cedar plank salmon covered by soy sauce, served with rice and vegetables and as a dessert the Cardero s dessert featured, that consist of a r tart topped with chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
They were both exquisite and tasty, and the salmon was well cooked and served.
The waiter wasn t really fast, but at least he was kind and sociable.
The bill was a bit high, but we should also consider the top location apart from the food

Not much to say other amazing views, food and staff. Working on these times they did an especially good job

I'm a fan of their lobster bisque, Oysters and the burger.

Mike H was an amazing lead with his team that served us. We were a group of 20, the place was busy and we were never ignored. Overall a great experience.

Outstanding place ! Excellent food, service, location right on the harbour... Ambience is just perfect for family dinner or date night... especially the table with harbour view is excellent if you are celebrating!

Such an amazing place to have a beautiful waterfront meal! We went to Cardero's on Saturday night for our big "last night in Vancouver" dinner. The drinks are absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced (both cocktails and wine) and the food is incredible and so fresh! I had an amazing special that included salmon, prawns, and scallops, and my friend had halibut - YUM! Our server was also the nicest guy with such prompt service. Finally, you absolutely cannot beat the view. Can't wait to come back!

Love this place. Live band. Amazing mussels. That's my mandatory stop by when coming to Vancity.

Nearby seafood restaurant. Lunch time is recommended. On sunny days you can see the North Shore.

My original review was 3 stars as stated in the second paragraph - first paragraph is an update

Update - I was contacted by the General Manager of Carderos following my review, and I must say I was completely impressed by his reaction and response to my concerns. He stated that the server should have handled the situation differently and he would use my experience as a teaching opportunity with the server. He also said I should have absolutely mentioned that my halibut was dry as they need to know if their food is not being prepared exactly as intendd. He then said he was going to send me a gift card. Could not be more pleased with how this was ultimately handled

Great atmosphere and view right on Coal Harbour by the Westin Bayshore. Great covered patio/deck. The Halibut did not quite meet my expectations as it was slightly overcooked (I did not mention this to the server though). Was also charged for a refill of my cranberry juice /ginger ale without being informed beforehand. When I inquired with the server I got a insincere apology - I would have expected that the charge for the refill would have been taken off the bill. I am not one to ask for a discount/credit but leave it up to the establishment to decide what to do and then decide if I will visit again. Not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things but customer service a little lacking

Comfy place for a nice meal. Live music every day is a nice touch.

We were a medium sized group and had no reservation, the restaurant did manage to accommodate us after the lounge. The food was well prepared, flavorful and enjoyable. The staff were great, friendly and professional as we were there with business colleges and dinner was a long affair due to discussions. Never did we feel like we were being hurried along or interrupted. Would definitely return.

This is one of my go to restaurants in coal harbour. The service has been excellent, the seafood has always been fresh and the waterfront location is great. I've frequented this place about 50 times and have never been disappointed. (They also have a seasonal coconut cream pie dessert that is fantastic!)

Years ago I was on a day trip with 12 coworkers. We had taken a cruise and we're hungry. One restaurant in Coal Harbour would not accommodate us. We went to Cardero's and we're warmly greeted. They put some tables together for us. The food was excellent but the hospitality was over the top. I'll never forget how welcoming the staff was. I've been back a few times and always had a great experience. Lovely water views and a huge patio.

Its a seafood salad but bcoz I am a vegetarian, I tried their Budha Bowl which was really really good. It looked better than any of the non veg dishes. Also, for vegetarians, there margherita Pizza is really good. There are very limited options for vegetarians.

It's been years since my last visit. Cardero's used to be my go to place on Sunday lunches when I lived near by. The restaurant is extremely busy even on a weekday dinner, but the hostess greeted us warmly and explained the expexted wait time and invited us to spend time in the lounge area. Our server was a fine gentleman, very thorough on the today's special menu. Amazing view of Coal Harbour, now with more boats in the marina. Patio is an awesome spot if you are entertaining guests out of town. Food quality has always been excellent. Menu price matches the experience you'll have.

waiters are more concerned with time and tips than with good service

The food was very good. I had the fish and chips which was very good. The fish was super fresh and the batter was done very well. The French fries were your typical restaurant french fries and nothing special. I think having a fresh cut potato fry would have gone the extra mile. My son had the hamburger and said it was very good. Again the fries just missed the mark. My wife had the squid bowl with fried rice. She said the squid was great but the rice was a little too oily. I tried some and it was good. She likes rice more on the dry and plain side. Overall it is a great restaurant with very friendly staff.amd great views of the harbour.

I absolutely love Caderos. Whenever I have guests in town and they are fans of seafood I instantly think of bringing them here. It is certainly on the expensive side ($25+ for a main), but the view of the Stanley Park and the North shore is hard to beat. Awesome seafood and the ambiance and decor of the restaurant add value to the whole experience. Would also be great spot for a date.

The food tasted average. I had the oyster burger, on GF bun. Came out on a regular bun... the French fries were very salty. I have nothing specially good to say about the this place, definitely not worth all the ravings I've heard...

The beyond meat burger has no taste & is overpriced. They decorate a dessert for celebrations however :-) Nice spot near the water, could be better.

Great view as it is on the water. Fancy place and they have live music after 8 pm. Service is attentive.i do not give it 5 because I order a rib eye bone in and they do not know the term of the steak. A medium rare turn out to be a well done.

Extremely noisy ... anyone hearing challenged would have difficulty carrying on a conversation.
The food tasted good ... I got Clam linguini. Ridiculously small serving ... once the clam shells were removed.

Had a great time with family for an afternoon drink and visit. Such a gorgeous location and good service as well!

I went there with a group of colleagues. Everyone was impressed by the seafood served. I personally had a prawn curry which was superb. It was delicate enough for the prawns' flavour to shine, but it was still a complex and well-rounded meal.

The cherry on the cake, however, was the exceptional service. I got there later than the rest of the group (and we hadn't advised the restaurant that I would be joining because I didn't think that I would make it), but my place was set up in seconds, my order taken quickly and my food brought out in excellent time. All this while I was made to feel welcome. Great job, most other places would have been flustered.

The food is great and love the environment. Only concern is that sauces need to be more inspected prior to serving to customers.

My must-hit restaurant on any visit to Vancouver. The Miso Sablefish is hands-down the most delishious dish on the menu, and I have hooked my friends on it! The atmosphere is lovely, and it has a great view! The staff are excellent as well.

I call the area where Cardero's is - Mini Monaco, with lot's of yachts along the seaside walkway. A very beautiful part of Vancouver

Was fried to perfection great texture with the perfect amount of spice

This restaurant is right on the water and although big, it is also very quaint. The staff were fantastic as was our dinner. We sat at the bar and had our dinner as there was a 45 minute wait so so would definitely suggest booking. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Cardero s not only has an amazing location and view but a great staff! Kristy was so upbeat and friendly, you couldn t help but smile every time she stopped by your table. 5 stars!

Great food, location, and atmosphere--try the patio!

First I want to thank our waiter John for making my birthday such a special day! We went to Carderos to meet friends and for brunch. It was my 65th so we started with Mimosas. John was incredibly attentive and informative with a great sense of humour. Brunch was excellent with delicious mushroom soup and Caesar salad and the must have Signature Wok Squid.
We mentioned to John that we were having dinner that night at the Sandbar (same restaurant group as Carderos) and the next thing you know John brings his manager Andy over who asked for our name and said he would contact his counterpart at the Sandbar to make sure we would have a birthday dinner we d never forget! Andy wasn t kidding as we had a spectacular meal at the Sandbar whilst being treated like royalty.
I can t thank John and Andy enough for creating one of our most memorable experiences.

Amazing place to eat, the waiter Cody was absolutely lovely and made our experience that much better! Definitely would recommend!

Lovely view of the harbor - food is kind of pricy for what you get.
