It was the first place to suggest us the Tequila shots with pineapple juice on the side. Live music is romantic. Food is excellent. The atmosphere is appetizing.

Nice atmosphere, service, and food. Just expensive. Will go on special occasion only.

The food was good, and the staff was nice, but we had problems with food being delivered on time. Twice part of our order was missrecorded or forgotten and one of our dishes ended up more than 25 minutes later than the rest, and I am still waiting as I type this. Edit: Pizza arrived after another 10 minutes and was not even the smoked salmon pizza we ordered....

love the live music in the lounge. I also enjoy the pizza's and the soup of the day.

Prime real estate which is reflected in the pricing.

Beautiful setting, great menu, and excellent staff. I experienced a health problem when I was there enjoying a lively dinner, and the management, wait staff, and hostesses were so amazingly helpful, especially with my child.

If you are in Vancouver you can't go wrong at this place. Great beer and drinks for sure but the food is amazing. Everything you order will be done right. I don't care what you select on the menu you are in good shape. I do recommend getting Seafood because it is awesome! Every time we have visited Vancouver this is a stop that we have to make. Enjoy

So great...30year anniversary made awesome by our kids with dinner at Cardero's. Great service and server along with a treat dessert....so nice!

Was here for dinner with a coworker. Great view of the docks/harbor. Had the tuna and it was very tasty when combined with the broccoli and rice side. Wait staff was attentive and provided good recommendations. If back in the area will be back.

Excellent menu, excellent location ... a frequent hit!

The 4 of us had an amazing Lunch meeting on February 8, 2018. I cannot say enough about the hospitality and friendliness of the host, to the excellent waiters, just over the top and very attentive. The Arctic char was unbelievable. The views were fantastic and I will definitely go out of my way to dine here when visiting Vancouver again.

Decided to go out for dinner and thought I would give Cardero's a try. Nice waterfront location and good staff service but the food was a bit pricey for what you got. Because of the high price tag I am not certain I would go back.

Very interesting at Cardero's. Had a reservation for 645 for which we were 10 minutes late, called ahead to let them know and we were advised the table would be forfeited if we weren't there within 15 minutes of the reservation time. Made it in time but thought it weird they'd enforce a table cutoff after a phone in letting them know we were a bit behind.

From there just felt like the whole experience was kind off of, the pricing had me expecting a fine dining experience but the restaurant was loud and service very casual.

Overall it wasn't a bad experience. Food and experience didn't match places like the Keg or Joe Fortes (similar price points) so general take away is that the price is for the location. Will likely return with guests from out of town but unlikely to ever visit casually.

Great location, great food and great service. I do enjoy coming back here for the atmosphere and the views. You are surrounded by the ocean, sail boats and the mountains in the distance. Good place to bring a tourist. Has some good outdoor seating and a bar side in the event you didn't book ahead and it's full as it can get pretty busy in the evenings and weekends.

Cardero s is always consistently good. I d recommend making a reservation if possible because the wait can be quite long (one hour+) on a nice weekend day. The food is always really good and the service is great! If you can snag a patio seat on the backside of the restaurant you ll get the best view!

The service and food was top notch all the way. Our waitress, Jill ensured we were well taken care of, and I was super impressed when the manager served us and offered to assist in getting us back safely to our hotel. The seafood was cooked perfectly; not over or undercooked. I would go back again. A little pricey, but it is fresh seafood, I would expect it to be.

There's a surprising lack of late night food in downtown Vancouver during the week. Cardero's is a triple threat: food and cocktails served late, a comfortable & slightly upscale environment, and it's on the water.

We went for cocktails a couple nights during our last stay and were impressed with the mixology and service. My husband had an excellent Vieux Carre. Another night we had dessert - Apple Strudel with Vanilla Gelato. It was big - perfect for sharing - and delicious.

The live guitarist in the lounge was very good and a nice bonus.

Great food and attentive service, right on the waterfront! Do yourself a favor get the mussels and lamb!!

Love their Salmon, they accommodated me so nicely, I had ACL surgery done and couldn't sit easily they made sure I had my leg up comfortably.

Very friendly and kind staff which made the visit memorable. I had the Mediterranean prawns and scallops which was very delicious and a decent portion size.

Pricing is on the steep side, but well worth it when you want to go out on a date or eat quality food with a good atmosphere.
The view is spectacular if you can get a view of the water / North Van.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon for excellent snacks, LIVE MUSIC and drinks. Great views, food and entertainment. Will be back for dinner sometime......

Probably the best meal I had in years. The service was incredible. We had a nice seafood trio that was delicious. Very reasonable pricing.

A posh restaurant in the heart of Coal Harbour. Portions are on the smaller size, so great place to go if you're looking to save your calories for the binge fest on the weekend. Food itself was pretty good. Lots of flavour and colours. Friendly staff and prompt service.

Great view, was in the bar it was laid back. Great food prices are mid range

Reserved patio online for birthday dinner. Was informed only when arriving that patio cannot be reserved. Reluctantly sat inside with no A/C. Hostess did not seat us either. Had to find table where one guest was already waiting. My $41steak was overdone and oversalted. My dad's meal was the wrong seafood dish. The other dish was mediocre. Again reluctantly just started to eat as didn't want to make a scene or send food back.
Had been wanting to dine here for a while and was excited but was sadly disappointed instead.
The only positive was the server. She was lovely.
I see there are good reviews here...perhaps we came on the day with inexperienced staff....not really feeling like gambling again though..

Food, service, and view is top. One note, menue is short of varieties. But in general highly recommended

Giving it a 5-star for food only, salmon was on point and pizza was great for my kiddos, btw they have no kids menu. For customer service i would give it a zero, it was horrible, a waiter that took my order seemed a little annoyed when taking my order, i was sitting outside but the table i got was uncomfortable due to no back support so i asked to be moved inside and got a better waiter who was more respectful and attentive....

Love the location, bar atmosphere and live music in the evenings. Very cozy and nice staff.

Perfect place for meetings, dinners, date and a for the whole family. Fine dimming with delicious appetizers and entres. Highly recommend for any special occasion. Oh and to add to a great restaurant, customer service is perfect 10/10

Great food and service. The salmon sandwich was en pointe - delicious. Corn meal battered oysters were also the best I have had so far. I will definitely return next time I am in Vancouver.

Everything about this restaurant was wonderful! The view is beautiful the food is fabulous and the staff is so kind and helpful! The manager that we spoke with, Matt, really seemed to love what he does and he engaged with his staff and the customers in a very friendly and professional way! When we visit Vancouver again we will most definitely visit Cardero s!

The food was good, the server was friendly, and the window view was good, so I ate comfortably.

Great meal and great service! Yummy drinks; rich Manhattan clam chowder; and super fresh and sweet oysters. My husband loved his steak dinner and I loved the Cajun Ling Cod with wok fried rice for dinner - plus we listened to awesome live acoustic music in the bar!
