Food is consistently good over the year. Big patio gets lots of sun. Stunning view all around. Service can be hit or miss though.

Great fun bar / restaurant. Great service and food.

We celebrated an anniversary with my husband here. The service was amazing, the server noticed we re celebrating even without us looking too fancy or telling her :) We went with all her recommendations. We got oysters as a starter and then sablefish and morocco- style lamb as mains. The fish was dissolving in the mouth, beautifully buttered taste. The lamb was also amazing, falling of the bone easily. Brownie with ice cream was a cherry on top and she made it on the house! Amazing experience, will definitely come again :)

Best Seafood in Vancouver that is right on the water. I usually get the special when I eat there and haven't been let down yet

Amazing service and food! My boyfriend proposed to me and had arranged surprise dinner plans at Cardero s. They had reserved us the best table in the restaurant with such a beautiful view. Trevor, the manager and Mike, our server really went above and beyond! I can not recommend them enough, they ll definitely make your night special!

Great service Mike, we had fun! Thanks for the way you were, the thought you put into our visit and making my daughter's birthday the way it ended up being; just right. We'll be back, as this is our second time and it's consistent every time.

Nice view from the patio, dishes are very good. Very enjoyable in the summer to sit on the patio.

I ordered the Boston clam chowder and it was just the best chowder I ever had. Delicious! Either that or I was really hungry after my 3 hours walk!

Ate there last night, we had cedar planked salmon and the Cajun Lingcod. They were both cooked perfectly, although I was slightly disappointed that the salmon was Atlantic! We were looking at the pacific why were we eating Atlantic salmon. Desert was warm nutty brownie. Hello amazing. Prices were very fair for the location/service/food. I would suggest staying in the lounge as the restaurant was LOUD. We will be back if the opportunity presents itself.

Excellent service, food, ambiance and location. The manager of the restaurant (kind gentleman with gray hair) was walking around making sure everyone was being attended, which made the service great!

I feel good because I can eat while watching the harbor. The store is large and lively, and there are many counter seats for one person, so you can enter immediately.
The price is high, but you can be satisfied with the solid volume. The clam chowder was delicious!

Great service and delicious local fare make this one of my favorite restaurants. They offer live music and the outdoor patio is a nice spot to enjoy a glass of wine.

We were here for our company Christmas party and even though it was a very busy evening, we did not want for anything. Wine glasses were always full. The pace of the meal was perfect. And when all was done we felt like we could take our time finishing up. Fantastic food. Fantastic atmosphere. Will go back.

Generally good, except for the fried rice, it was a bit blend. The lobster was good with the vegetables. The Desert was a bit under expectation. Otherwise, service and ambiance were great.

Maybe it's the fact that they just reopened, but the service was just above acceptable. I've been here before and had better service and food, so I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an off day and still give them a pretty good rating. The view of the marina, Stanley Park and the north shore mountains across the water is second to none.

Great setting with amazing views, lively bar scene and friendly staff with some unfortunate setbacks in the dining experience. We were pleased with the setting and layout of the restaurant, but were disappointed in the menu overall. In addition, service was quite leisurely, so we regretted coming in hungry for a late lunch. Perhaps the west coast palate is programmed differently than those of us from the east side of the continent, but we were surprised to find the shrimp dumplings overpowered by a potent mustard and chili sauce, rather than the customary soy and ginger based one we usually encounter. And the fried oyster sandwich had an off taste which was quite distressing, though my wife was so hungry that she ate a good part of it prior to commenting to me that there was an odd taste. I also had a nasty stomach ache last night, though it may not be related to the oysters. The beet salad was better, but seemed to have a very thin gloppy burrata cheese topping, which was not up my alley. Though we are generally not very big complainers (for real!!), I did speak with a server who was helpful, and ultimately we were comped a draught beer, which I appreciated. However, the experience was not optimal, and we were excited about our visit to this city which is known for its sea food. So overall a very mixed experience, and I would probably suggest going elsewhere or being very careful with your selection.

Most people would think that this restaurant was five stars. I gave it four stars because I only ate in the lounge. Great views. Casual dining atmosphere. Live band. Propane fireplace. Great service. Food was very good. Chairs could have been more comfortable. Price was a bit high for the value.

First time in Vancouver. Great experience. Service was amazing. Will be back for sure ! A must.

Came in with no expectation of food and service, but high expectations of view and ambiance. Food completely met my high bar. Ordered an off-the-menu 'land and sea', combining the filet with a side of prawns. It was really perfect. The view and place is just as expected: fun and relaxed with a great view. Kudos!

The location is beautiful. The menu isn't the greatest. I prefer other seafood places over this one.

Had a great lunch here. Very friendly waiter. We started with oysters, which were fabulous. For my main, I had the salmon. I have had better salmon but it was still very tasty.

Ok food, terrible drinks! Started with a Bloody Mary that tasted like ketchup and nothing else, tried a few other drinks after and they were all terrible. This place desperately needs some new bartenders. Food was decent though.

I regularly come to Cardeos as I work close by. After finishing my shift I came by for a quick drink however, upon noticed the salmon pizza on the menu I had to try! It was amazing! My hostess was so sweet and she sat me at the oyster bar which overlooks the kitchen. Seeing them working so hard (and very well together) was quite enjoyable. They are very professional in their work space. It's nice to see the back of house in action from the restaurant. Shout out to the amazing kitchen! I was served by Dennis who was more then polite and attentive. He got me everything I needed on an admirable manner (even though it was super busy). Overall I highly recommend this restaurant!

Perfect seats on the edge of the deck overseeing the coal harbour marina and stanley park. Enjoying great oysters and rib appies and sockeye, prawn and scallop entre!

Went there over the August long weekend.
Nice restaurant at the docks. And a bike rental place right next to it.
The food was delicious but the portions for the appetizers, we felt were not enough, for what we are used to. So we ordered burgers for our main course, so we dont stay hungry, but the burgers were massive and delicious. Couldn't finish the whole thing. The drinks were very refreshing, especially the sangria
The staff was courteous and very professional and dressed exceptionally.
Will visit again.

We sat in the bar last night as it was booked up for Valentine's. Food is tasty. Service was excellent. It's just too dark. Could barely see what we were eating.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Ambience was lovely, food was extremely tasty and our server Daniel was very attentive. I would highly recommend.

Really amazing food, was taken here as part of a birthday present and I have to say the meal was delicious.
It is pricy but staff was incredibly friendly and the meal tasty, the portion was a little small though.

We had an event early that day and was looking forward to having an afternoon early dinner. Have been to cardoes a couple of times and it was always very good but this time was disappointing. We were seated within 5 mins lots of tables were open. Our waiter was okay no recommendations was just the minimum service. We ordered and sat, no water refill , noticed that the manager was clearing tables on the patio. Inside there were 7 waiters standing and chatting. One waiter actually took food that s right food , It was French Fries from a order that was to go out to a customer!!!I was in shock. My food was not cooked all the way and it was all very bland. Not the usual food quality that we have had in the past. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

Excellent location by the seaside, but looks kinda like a food court on the inside. I ordered the Cornish game hen, but it tasted very dry. It did arrive in a timely manner (in 20 minutes as stated in the menu)

Ordering Take out, My salad was 15$ and it only had 3 1/4 sized peices of beets, very small amount of spinach and hardly any cheese. I recommend they make it more worth the price listed.. other than that its a beautiful place to eat.

Have eaten here multiple times when in town on business. Great outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the harbour and always have perfectly cooked, locally fresh fish dishes to choose from. Pair some in-season Halibut with one of the handful of local B.C. craft beers on tap.

Server was abrasive. Currently they have a fruit fly issue. Food was decent, but not worth the cost.

Food ok...service mediocre. Came in at 9:15 after pushing a reservation back. I realize this is late and the servers are tired. But, I had to ask twice to get my wife's wine...it was obvious the waiter forgot. And, after agreeing to a substitution on my daughter's meal, the original stuff was brought. Took awhile to get this corrected and we were given a surcharge on top of it. We just paid the surcharge and left quietly. But, I would be careful about eating here later...I just think our waitress - Allisa - was tired and blase after a hard night of it.

They are too busy but not serve you for a drink after 15 minutes waiting.

Went into the lounge for a drink. Amazingly, was told there was NO printed Whisk(e)y list; and (two) waitress had no idea what they stock. When one came back to tell us (some? of) what they had - she had no idea of prices! Unimpressed!

The location and view is awesome, but service and food was super disappointing we couldn t eat what we ordered because it was cold and uncooked. I should rate you -0- since there isn t zero I m rating 1star !
