Usually go here for the platter. The brisket is absolutely amazing. Deserts are top notch. Very well presented. Definitely a go to place for BBQ. They could definitely stock some more hot sauces.

I've been loyal to this place for years. It's a good place to bring almost anyone for any kind of occasion or to just catch up - from out of towners to pre-Drake Torontonians.

The Pit Master platter is my go-to for food & the Black Mamba is my go-to cocktail. I also love the space and atmosphere here ... it feels like it could be pretentious but isn't.

The service is still good but has dropped from 5 to 4 stars ... the last couple of times I've been here I have had to do an "air traffic controller" routine to get attention from any servers.

I'd also love to see Carbon Bar mix up their menu just a little while keeping the classics ... things that were once ahead of trend (carbon in drinks, sauce pairings w/ meat) are now commonplace.

Pro Tip: the bourbon bites are a PERFECT dessert morsel and Instagram worthy (if that's your thing)

Service was impeccable but the brisket was terrible. They had clams on their tasting menu for Valentine s day, which was brutal and showed how blatant a money grab it was. The drinks were pretty good, but because we paid $250+ for two people and did not enjoy the food (enjoyed the service and drinks though), 1 star. Get the food right.

Slightly pricey. Food is a reasonable quality. Service is good. The ambience is also reasonably cool. It has very high Ceiling and so it is a cool place to sit in. The crowd is also quite nice. I don't know about parking because it is right on Queen Street.

Great BBQ and cocktails. The space is really big and great to do gatherings.

My friends and I order the meat platter as the main with brisket, fried chicken and ribs.

The brisket was my favorite while the fried chicken was a little bland.

Cocktails are amazing. Raised by the wolves is a must try!

We went there for 2020 NYE celebration. Food and entertainment was great. I really liked the DJ and the singer. Our server Adly made our night extra special. He was so attentive and made honest recommendations for our drinks! I wish there were more people like Adly working in the hospitality industry!

I've only tried the pulled pork mac and cheese, but wow it was honestly delicious! Ordered through Uber Eats, and it arrived hot and was a good portion size as well. Can't wait to try other menu items

Went for brunch. Really pretty interior and really good food. Lox was almost too pretty to eat. Some place to catch up or go on a date. Kinda fancy.
Easy to get to from Eaton center.
Their drink menu seemed impressive.
More close to 4 stars than 3.
Somewhere I would take a friend from out of town.

Love this place. Went for winterlicious and it was definitely worth every penny.

The food was perfectly cooked, unique and delicious. Service was exceptional. The place is beautifully decorated with a high ceiling and modern decor. They have a lot of daily specials as well which was a nice surprise.

It's definitely on the high end of the scale, but the prices are not bad considering the value you get with the food. Don't expect big portions though.

Would definitely recommend stopping by this place for a drink or a bite.

I've only been once and doubt I'll go again.. It was over priced and not much to choose from on the menu. There seemed to be more options for drinks then food. The mac and cheese was pretty tasty I must say. I also had need brisket. It was ok but found alot of fat in it. The serving of coleslaw on the side was a joke. My boyfriend got a cheeseburger and fries. He did say it was good but he basically ate the burger in 2 bites. The fries he got were coated in salt. Mcdonalds salty fries has nothing on this place.

The eating area was extremely loud, it brought me back to the noise in a high school cafeteria. It was a big wife open space. You feel like people are starring at you.

To leave on a positive note, the bathroom is beautiful.

Great brisket sandwich.

Great brisket sandwich.

Went there for the first time for a take out sandwich. Walked 10 min home it was still delicious. Perfect portion and the fries are great!

The food and service was good, but wasn't a huge fan of the "I'm eating dinner in a sterile former nightclub with a bunch of business bros" vibe. Also a little bit pricier than I'd like though nothing egregious. Not quite the best "meaty" option in the city. Can't say I'm looking to go back.

I've been going to Carbon Bar for dinner and brunch for years and the food is phenomenal. The staff and management are friendly, professional, and accommodating. The atmosphere is chill, the drinks are good, and the bbq always delivers. Even the healthy options are delicious. Definitely recommend for any occasion.

Amazing service, incredible food. The shrimp ceviche was delicious, we're not usually a fan of cauliflower, but the "kfc" is a must order app if you like some kick to your food. We ordered a platter to try/share the ribs, fried chicken and brisket. By far our favourite was the ribs and thr brisket. We will definitely be back and recommend Carbon Bar for sure. Good for a celebratory dinner and drinks, or even just drinks and apps.

I absolutely love the ambiance here. The cocktails are INSANELY delicious and they usually take on classics with a unique spin. Staff is always amazing!

The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because I was a little disappointed with my Lobster Roll when I was in last week. The lobster itself was cooked beautifully, I just think if you're going to price it at $48, it shouldn't be 70% bun and 30% lobster meat. I just ended up wanting more meat, with a slightly less-dense bun. I probably wouldn't order it again, but as it's a BBQ-centric restaurant, I should've just ordered the platter like I have every other time before and enjoyed tremendously because they do meat VERY well. Not to say they can't do seafood - my Argentinean shrimp was delicious, as were the oysters, and another person in my party ordered a fish dish and seriously contemplated licking the plate.

All in all, it's an amazing place to come with a group, or even on a date. Would definitely recommend!

Great welcoming spot. Rarely do I enjoy my 3 course meals. But everything was so good. Had the cauliflower, fish and grits ended with Mousse au chocolate. Signature drinks were great too!

After making a reservation three weeks ago they seated us in the small upstairs room that looked like some back room of a dingy place. The waiter was apologetic but the manger didn t seem interested in helping us out after they screwed up our reservation. The food look good but I wouldn t know.

A++

I was there for a brunch. I usually don't like eggs Benedict, but I tested theirs and now I'm addicted! I recommend all the brunch menu

Great spot! Wasn't sure what to expect in that part of the neighbourhood but it's very spacious and general vibe was positive. Everyone who worked there from the host/hostess stand to paying the bill were very polite, professional, and personable!

Food was on point. There were 9 of us and we all split the BBQ Platter. It was a good combination of their offerings; ribs, brisket, turkey, fried chicken, pickles, fries, and an assortment of sauces. Didn't look like much but we were all surprisingly full!

Staff were very friendly. They made a mistake and served one of our meals to another group dining. They quickly rectified the situation and gave us a few free appetizers even after we insisted it wasn't an issue. They were incredibly apologetic. The food was above average but not great. Hence the 4 stars. We did enjoy their drink menu.

Pretentious look and feel and clientele to match? Check. Douchebag, hipster, staff? Check. Crappy microbrewery beers only a beer snob could love? Check. Overpriced? Check. All signs point to typical Toronto snob hangout!!

I had the beef brisket with baked beans and Mac and cheese. Everything was really good. The best BBQ I've had since coming to Toronto. I ordered it on uber eats but can't wait to see how much better it is in person

Not a do-over. Beautiful room. The old CITY TV building. 1990's presentation (small portion on a big plate). One-dimensional servers.
Too expensive for what you get. Meh.

So, a couple of days later, I get a VMM from the GM of The Carbon Bar wishing to discuss my less than perfect experience. I called back and had a very positive conversation with him.
Impressive.
Perhaps I will visit The Carbon Bar again. Stay tuned.

great food and great service. had the octopus, which was cooked perfectly, and the pear/lime sorbet with a slice of almond cake for dessert. very cool ambiance as well, great place to hang out after work.

Food was totally amazing, but the service was impeccable I'd rate it 100 out of 10 if I could. As for food, I had the Korean Fried Cauliflower, Cornbread Skillet, Mac and Cheese, and the dry aged hanger steak. The interior environment reminds me of an old school industrial diner, with the atmosphere feeling casual and relaxed this place is fantastic.

I went for a birthday, the food was good but service was not. it took an hour for our bill and we were told that s just how it is, not my fault . Also, gratuity was added (that s fine) but was not mentioned when I was paying for my bill. Nothing like paying 33% tip for bad service. Will not go back.

Trendy decor, mouthwatering BBQ, and a great selection of beers. I recommend going as a group so you can try everything on the menu. The beef brisket was my favourite, but you really can't go wrong with ordering the platter.

Went here is a few friends and we ordered the pit master platter for 4, and quite honestly the quality and flavour was so good. Carbon is one of the best spots in the city for BBQ, especially for the price.

I highly recommend this to anyone looking for some seriously good food.

Carbon Bar is my favourite southern barbeque restaurant in Toronto. The dishes are delicious, the drink menu is great and the service is always good. You can't go wrong ordering their ribs and their steak dishes.

3.5 stars. I ordered the "Carbon Mac and Cheese" with beef brisket as takeout from the Carbon Bar location in the Kitchen Hub (Etobicoke). Based on the menu description I had envisioned the beef brisket being incorporated into the mac cheese with a layer of melted cheese and breadcrumbs on top. What I got was a serving of very creamy vs. cheesy mac and cheese with two slices of brisket sitting on top. There was no cheesy, breadcrumb crust, the brisket was a little on the dry side and the overall dish could use some more flavour. I am curious about their other menu items so will be back.

Flashback time visiting this area where CityTV got its start and where The Record Peddler once was a couple of doors away, (now George). The hoi polloi still frequent here. Thoroughly enjoyed the duck tacos and fried green tomatoes. Fries and beans sampled from my the table as well. Great staff and atmosphere!

Appetizer and dessert selections are not so compelling, but main courses were quite good. I preferred the pork rib over the other meats, but my fiends preferred the short rib. Although not bad, everyone agreed the chicken came in a distant third. Fries were tasty, but a bit greasy and barbecue sauces were nothing amazing.

Food prices were fair and (although a bit expensive) so was the quality of drinks. I recommend this restaurant if you re in the area, but would not go out of my way for it; nor is it a place I would frequent until they improve their sauces, appetizers and deserts.

Very tasty food.

Very tasty food.

Definitely recommend the brisket and baked beans.

Generous portions for the price. Great spot if you are looking to feed one or many.

Going to Carbon Bar was a great experience! Date night at a place that serves BBQ doesn't sound like a good idea but the atmosphere, decor and service was all top shelf! First we ordered drinks and I got the carbon infused margarita. Pitch black with an amazing margarita tartness. As appatiziers go, we ordered the KFC cauliflower and it was the tastiest thing ever! Blistered shishito peppers and oysters. The KFC dish could make me a vegetarian, it was that good. Burgers we what we came for so we both had the brisket cheeseburger. The combination was out of this world! All the meaty goodness you could ever want from a burger and the combination of brisket, beef, mustard and pickle was crazy good. Overall a standout meal!
