Avoid like Ebola. A car advertised on 3 sites as MY2018, even discussed how being so new my resale will be great. I signed up only to find it's June 2106 build! Not only dishonest but when busted were not remorseful. Believe nothing, check everything.

I recently purchased a used Peugeot Expert van from Buckby & they arranged for it to be shipped to Melbourne. I was very nervous parting with my hard earned dollars having not seen the van in person or ever having shipped a vehicle interstate. But the van is just like new & I could not be happier with my purchase. The van is a ripper! So thank you Buckby, thank you Liam & thank you Toll/Prixcar.

When I went through the process of deciding, I would get endless calls throughout the day. As soon as I'd paid the deposit and money, the contact died off and it was hard to get a phone call back or reply. I've heard that dealerships pay stamp duty for the new owner which they didn't. The car that I purchased had more KMs than advertised when it was shipped to me. The dealer also said he was sending me a centre console clip (not mentioned in any ads that it was broken), yet never arrived. All the tracking info they gave to me was incorrect. Took quite a few phone calls and being transferred to locate my car and delivery time was way off what they told me.

Well..... in 2018 month of September, my car was serviced , sadly the man washed my car and reverses it into a pole , he was very upset. The manager then said ,we will fix it ....after many phone calls and taking it back it still hasn't been fixed !!!! Now in the year 2020 .

I was driving from hobart to Launceston to pick up the vehicle on my way back by the time i had driven to cambletown my battery started to boil from a over charging alternator so i got home had to buy a new battery and it took 3 weeks for them to replace the alternator and alot of harassing they even tried to block my number but i emailed some of the higher ups and got it sorted

They said the suspension airbags on the back had a small leak and it had been fixed i find out it was slow leaking still so had to fix that

they said ALL fluids on the car had been replaced i questioned them asking did they mean just the engine oil or diff/transfer/gearbox they promised ALL had been replaced of course that was bull#%#@

I should of checked when i was looking over the vehicle but
the hazard lights don't work the seatbelt has a large tear in it
no light on the rear number plate... how can they even sell cars
in this condition must be illegal

Plus more has gone wrong but that's off the top of my head would i buy the same car yes but i wouldn't pay what i paid

Good car, terrible service department!

Was charged for service not performed, even though it was refunded to me, never have they once apologized. Service manager even distract me from the issue at by showing me my tyres. Didn't want to say more as service manager is clearly uninterested and unapologetic.

They have betrayed my trust in them and subsequently lost a customer of 3 years. Never again.

Owner reply below cant reply to no mats and side step fixed as discussed at sale,so not fixed or resolved ,no reply ever from used car or manager emails I sent .Never trust or buy a car here, have emailed service manager, salesman who replies in capital letters and not addressing my name, no replys. We fell for trusting the salesman on things he agreeded to getting done now no reply. ( adding to the old salesman reputation is still at Buckbys) Opposite service at JMC fantastic service. Never buy a car there again.

Jack from used cars at the big lot, helped me out and went above and beyond in a situation where he wasnt actually required to help. Between himself and the service team a small issue was resolved within minutes. Rather than a potentially long drawn out costly process. His help and the help of the team at Buckbys was above expectation. For that reason I will be back to purchase my next car from these guys. Refreshing honestly, and exceptional customer service.

*edit* I'd just like to add that below they've replied and said to email them with my issue... I EMAILED MANY TIMES OVER A MONTH AND CALLED AND TEXT WITH ZERO RESPONSE UNTIL THIS REVIEW WHICH SAID THEY WERE TOO BUSY TO DEAL WITH ME.

Can offer a NO star review. This group of shonks sold my son a car in 2018.
It was on the road for about 4 months when a major fault was detected. Buckby Motors reply was basically stiff luck. The car has not been out of the garage since 2018 it is not drivable due to the fault. Anyone buying a car from this organisation is taking a huge risk. Thanks Buckby Motors for NOTHING.

Had a car salesman get in contact with me offering a car that I was looking for and wanted me to pay $14,990. I just checked the carsales website for the same vehicle in their lot and it's priced at $11,990. I don't understand where that $3k price difference came from. I don't think they even know how much to sell the car for or the salesman was trying to pull wool over my eyes. At least they let me know that they have such a car in their used lot?

Dealt with Mark when I was looking at buying a hyundai elantra that hadn't come in yet. I was told to put a deposit down to hold the car of $500 by card. I found out it was being used as a rental and needed a service done first so I'll hear back Thursday or Friday but never heard back. Before the car came in i test drove a car the same model, to find it wasn't the car i was after. I spoke to Mark on the Monday soon after and requested my refund back. He then tried to sell me another two cars, one being a manual, this is after i said i needed an auto. I went in and said I wasn't interested in the other cars he agreed to send my deposit back via bank transfer and wouldn't refund back to my card. He said Monday that he would transfer it back that night. It's now Wednesday and still no money. I emailed them and got a reply saying they transferred it today and to expect it in my account tomorrow morning. Not happy with them at all, terrible service. Very pushy and I'm wondering if I was ever going to see my money refunded, if I hadnt asked. Ill make sure none of my friends or family buy a car here.

They helped me ship some bulk car parts to Victoria, going above and beyond my expectations by carefully wrapping the parts, supplying a pallet and even organising a forklift. Without a doubt the best experience I have had for a long time when purchasing a car. I am based in QLD and the who process was handled promptly, professionally without any concerns at all. Being the second new Mercedes I've bought in the last 6 months I was a little nervous after the experience I had with the first purchase at a local dealer in Brisbane. Ben in sales and Lee in finance were nothing short of professional and friendly having a contract sorted, finance approved in mere days of initial contact. They organised transport for the vehicle to be shipped to QLD without any hesitation and were well beyond fantastic with communication in all aspects all at an amazing price.

I will not hesitate to contact the MB Team at Buckby motors when we are due for an upgrade in a couple years time.

Thank you again guys, you have been awesome.

Great service when purchasing car, terrible service from service department. This starts at the top with the service manager, a rude, rude pig. We have bought multiple cars over a long period and it is always the same. No more, they have lost us as customers due to the service department.

Terrible after sales service.
We bought a car from buckby and it was missing 2 spare keys.
The salesman told us he should be able to find them and will chase them up.
I've called once a month for the last 4 months and everytime nothing has been done and it seems now they have my money they don't care

Very disappointed in the communication and servicing of car prior to pick up. Was not advised that the so called drive away price quoted did not include transfer of ownership payment. Found out when a few months later we chased up registration invoice as hadn t received it to be told the car wasn t in our name! Had to pay a further $850 to transfer over. Drive away should mean no further money to pay. It stated as such on the contract, but was in such small writing at the bottom it was easily missed. It would ve been nice if they had pointed this out.
We didn t even receive the transfer papers until we brought this to their attention. It was emailed to us then. They will insist it was given to us, but we still have all the paperwork and this was NOT included.
Not only that, we were assured the car would be serviced prior to collection. It blew black smoke all the way home. Our mechanic found a split pipe that had to be replaced. (Buckby did over this cost). The mechanic ended up doing a service for us (that cost us more money) and could tell that a service hadn t been done in some time, or it it had, wasn t done very well at all. It seems that now they have our money they couldn t care less. We are now awaiting a response from the ACCC.

*Update*
So much for being in touch with us......months later and still no word. Just goes to show what a lot of BS was fed to us. We have heard from the ACCC and are still deciding whether to proceed.
Stay warned people!

Rather than fix the problems they just tried to drag the whole process along making excuse after excuse trying to shake us off so they could sell it for top dollar to the next poor person that didn't pick up on these issues. And just FYI Your head mechanic clearly has no idea...

Dealt with Mason regarding a Skoda Kodiaq. Found him to be reliable, polite and genuine which is hard to come by. He doesn t carry on. He gives you honest answers without making you have to jump through hoops to get an honest answer.

Very upset and frustrated at the service from this dodgy dealership.
I was picked up from the airport to buy a car only to realise that the motor was blown upon arrival and when I brought it the there attention they refused to help me resolve this issue or even give a slight discount. Then I was stuck in Tasmania with no way to get to the spirit of Tasmania to go back to Melbourne because they refused to give me a lift even though they were aware of the troubles I went through to travel to Tasmania from Melbourne.
Would not recommend dealing with anyone from here.

Due to their own administration staff error sending information to the wrong address they decided to involve a credit collection service to collect a service fee, if they had just spoken to the sales staff in either the Renault, Subaru or Jaguar departments they would have easily found out the correct information and contact details to speak with me directly, our latest purchase from them was a $150,000,00 Jaguar, we have purchased Subaru's and own 7 Renault vans, my family & I have bought vehicles here for over 10 years, as a result of this action, we will be taking our business elsewhere & we suggest anyone looking to deal with them do so with caution.
Cannot fault the sales manager in the Jaguar area, it's a pity he is surrounded by such incompetence.

A friend and I were touring around Tasmania when we had an issue with our car. We dropped it Buckby s for repairs. Not only did they try to charge us more than the RRP price for the parts they never once rang us back when we left multiple messages for Harry the service manager. Poor effort and do not recommend at all!

I purchased my Koleos from The Big Yard in April 2016 and was really impressed with the depth of knowledge that Isaac had about the car. I was really happy that he was willing to listen, and happy to answer questions, while not hovering around while my partner and I discussed the purchase! The finance department then made the transaction incredibly simple and really quick. We were so happy with these guys that in August 2017, we decided to purchase a second used car from these guys and this time, we had Michael help us out and Ray in finance department, again, flawless service, quick finance transaction and really great car! Their service doesn t stop there though, we also get our Renault serviced at Buckby and everytime, Luke has been fantastic to deal with. Made the whole process of getting our cars serviced nice and easy and well priced!. Car also comes back fully clean too, which is a nice touch. Thank you, Buckby Motors!

Bought a Skoda, great car. Service and warranty support from Buckby has, alas been terrible. 2 minor issues which needed to be fixed under warranty, I have made many 400km trips to get them fixed. One was corrected eventually, the other was to be fixed that day, but nobody ordered the part. Eventually, after about a year, the part arrived and I blocked out a day to travel and allow the service department the 4 hours they would need to get it fixed. So today I drop off the car and return after nearly 4 hours, it hasn't been fixed. After I show up to pick up my car, they ask for 30 minutes to replace the recall airbag. That is done, but the repair I wasted a whole day on was not done. Thousands of kilometers, hundreds of dollars in fuel, days of my life commuting for repairs, and still not fixed. Rather than keep the car, give me a loaner, then return it when fixed, they send me away again. Poor show.
