Delicious food, wonderful staff and a great atmosphere!

We have been there 3 times and food is very good. For some reason service was not good at all.

Last time were there, we got the chef special and we asked to leave while we were having our desert just because our table was reserved to someone else after us. After spending $600 for 4 people, we would prefer to enjoy our deserts and drinks instead of getting kicked of getting kicked off.

If you have time constrain, don't offer chefs plate.

Great food and signature drinks. The staff is also wonderful. Always an amazing experience here.

Had an amazing dining experience. The food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was perfect. Had the pit master platter which includes Brisket, Ribs, and chicken, all 3 were exceptional. Complemented my meal with one of the best old fashioned's I've ever had. Cant wait to go back!

Service is fantastic. The servers were polite friendly and attentive. Venue has a pleasant atmosphere and high ceilings. I tried a few appetizers and they were quite tastey.

Cool spot with amazing barbeque. The brisket was to die for.

Trendy. Good eats and drinks. One of the better places in downtown core where you can hear someone while you are dining.

This place has some of the best food. Many items on the menu are memorable. Even the green apple sorbet. That was amazing. I don't even like sorbet or apple. Have been here a few times all were great. The 'licious menus or for a special occasion is usually when you will see me there

Excellent cocktails! Exciting appetizers and great mains! The BBQ is too pricey and doesn't shine compared to the other items on their menu.

The BBQ here is great. Brisket and fried chicken are off the charts delicious, ribs are really nice. The problems start with the portions... You usually think BBQ! How could I leave hungry?! Oh you definitely can.. the portions are very small, diet small, and the prices definitely do not reflect that. This is expensive by anyone's standards be ready to pay up for your small portions. The boozy bird is very disappointing and compared to the BBQ very much flavorless. The BBQ comes with no sides, only a very tiny coleslaw. Overall for the food quality, specifically the brisket, this place deserves a 5/5 but with all the small issues I think a 4 is fair. My 1/5 is meant to try and bring the overall rating down a bit... It's too high right now.

We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we found this magnificent place which friends told us about. We spent a delightful time there with high-qulity food and a well-trained stuff and a distinguished cuisine. We added this restaurant in our phone list and we will surely return soon. Highly recommended.

Great butter chicken and ribs. I would stay away from the brisket if you like the fall apart real smoke Texas BBQ.

If you're a meat lover this place will put a smile on your face. Nice venue, great food and very attentive staff. Well done Also the old Electric Circus venue so somewhat nostalgic.

Without a doubt the best brisket I've had anywhere (including the southern US).

Over a visit to Toronto, had a friend's reunion here and the food was awesome! Great place for a group...night to remember

A great spot to grab dinner. The food is incredible and the portion sizes are huge. The service here is quick, attentive, and super friendly. I was defiantly impressed with everything.

Great restaurant/bar in the old city tv studios. Great staff and nice atmosphere.

Impromptu celebratory dinner. They were fully booked but made space for us at the bar. Then they were thoughtful enough to move us to a table when they had a cancellation.

Service was fantastic throughout. The staff were lovely and warm and thoughtful.

The food was really really good. We had BBQ and the table shared some sides. I can't remember the beer selection but the cocktails were very nicely done.

The space is lovely - interesting but very comfortable.

Had a couple of drinks at the bar, the charcoal margarita was tasty and a unique choice.

Sam the bar tender knows his stuff. Amazing recommendations, food, drink atmosphere! Will be back!

As soon as i sat down the waiter came and offered water but he spilt water on my dish while pouring into the cup but didnt say sorry or even got napkins to wipe the water in the plate. Not going back.

This restaurant doesn't feel like your in Toronto. The hight ceilings, warehousy layout , and dark red lighting made for a cool ambience. Great place for a group of friends. I wouldn't suggest it for a first date. Smoked meat was good and service was great. I found the waiter over sold how much food we should ordrer. Luckily we didn't take his advice because the portions are a fair size. Prices were reasonable.

Oysters are okay, suggest a la carte, there is nothing special about the main course, it is good to have a meat platter, (steak slices, ribs, chicken wings, etc.) a bonbon chocolate with a skull is very photogenic

We ordered the Carbon Bar Christmas kit and it was AMAZING!!! The smoked turkey was incredibly juicy and flavourful, the stuffing, gravy, etc. were all top notch, gourmet. The items were packaged perfectly and easy to reheat per the instructions. Worth every penny!! We are so thankful to have trusted our Christmas dinner to the chef's and meat wizards at the Carbon Bar!!! Bar none the best takeout place in downtown TO!! (If you haven't had their brisket you haven't lived...)

The design of the place is really beautiful! The ambiance is nice and cozy and the service is good! You get what you pay for!

Neat setup, interesting food choices, and cool atmosphere. Prices a touch high. Everything from burgers to Crocodile skewers to fantastic and authentic barbeque.

7/10 loved the chocolate skulls with bourbon custards inside.

Food was good but really expensive and the serving sizes are tiny....I even got an appetizer, meat platter and dessert....Just in case you were wondering I weigh 160 lbs so it's not like I eat a lot. I won't be going again.

Saw this as a must try on a summerlicious list, went there for dinner last night. Our first time there, we were not disappointed. The food is great from apps to desserts and the drinks (mamba margarita). Service is great and so is the ambience. High ceilings so noise level is at a point where you can talk to each other. All in all a great experience, will visit again soon. We had Pitt Master platter here and it was a hit! I enjoyed every bite of it. We had a great dinner with friends. The service was great and I really liked the ambiance.

JP & Brandon made my 24th birthday so special! The drinks were amazing & the food was on point. I ordered the brisket, fried chicken & ribs. I loved the decor & the overall laid back, friendly vibe. I'll definitely come back again, when I come back to Toronto!

Burnt ends like butter, tender brisket, delicious ribs, great fried chicken and Buffalo Trace old fashioneds... An excellent meal!

Carbon Bar is a great place for dinner with friends. The atmosphere is amazing and it has an upscale but relaxed vibe. The drinks were all amazing and I particularly enjoyed their Old Fashioned. The prix fixe menu is actually a great value, especially if everyone at the able orders. Our waiter made sure that we had a huge variety of dishes and the 6 people at dinner could not finish all the food we were brought. The staff was very attentive without intruding on conversation or interupting. I will definitely be returning again for some more of their delicious food.

Their BBQ style is amazing.
I like the chicken the most, their smoked ribs are good too!

Barbeque meets trendy. Good food. Nice portion sizes. Very high ceiling makes the space feel huge. Interesting cocktails. Very good service. Recommended.

Spacious location with great decor. The food is satisfactory, and the drinks are ok. One cool and unique thing to try out: the Chocolate Bourbon Skull for dessert.

My wonderful, thoughtful boyfriend took me there for Valentine's day because we are on a keto carnivore diet, great place for keto and meat options... I have a feeling we will be visiting again soon.

Food was good. Staff was good. Pricing is a bit expensive for what it is. I think it mostly for the atmosphere and decor.

Fantastic meal and service. Very attentive server and the food was amazing as usual.

We let Carbon Bar take care of the meal and didn't have to think of anything. For $69, the volume of food, quality and pace of service was the best value we could find.

Had an event George Restaurant but I was early so I dropped into Carbon Bar for the first time. Great space with a huge yet inviting bar. Bartender was exceptional - friendly, funny and passionate - and my Old Fashioned was like rolled smoke in my mouth. I give it a 4 only because I didn't have dinner so I cant tell you if that measures-up. Smelled good though.

Great place to chat and enjoy great food!
Also if you remember what electric circus was on MUCH MUSIC you will feel a bit of nostalgia here.
Food is a set menu and it is expensive however if you have someone special you wish to impress it is a great place for a date night.

Went here to celebrate my husband's birthday, and we were extremely happy with our choice. Cool atmosphere, creative drinks, & the most delicious food. Who knew you could do fancy/trendy BBQ? We will definitely be back.

All around great portion and charring. But the Kentucky bourbon chocolate pecan cake stole the show. The service was outstanding.

This place used to be good but something definitely changed since their BBQ is no longer acceptable and portion got a lot smaller. They charge $25 for 5 thin slices of brisket that doesn't even have smoked flavour. Their burnt ends also used to be good, but it was overly salty and greasy, also lacked smoked flavour. They do, however, have decent brunch. But skip the brisket benedict because they use the same poorly executed brisket. I thought it was just a miss for that day at brunch, but it's a miss everyday.

The Korean Fried Cauliflower was insane! The staff was very nice, even when we showed up late for our reservation. Desert was a chocolate skull filled with bourbon and other goodness

Unassuming place on the outside but pretty modern and chic on the inside. Loved the food and drinks.

We had the chefs table and I must say we really enjoyed everything. From the food to the service everything was on point. I highly recommend the brisket and the ceviche.

Great cocktails and great food! My wife and I had the"carbon experience" which includes a a few of their snacks, followed by a few appetizers, followed by a plate of BBQ meat and fries, and finally dessert. Great experience and the staff were very friendly and helpful!

Great food, very friendly staff, constantly awesome vibes. They charge convenient rates and the food quality is awesome. I recommend this place.

Preordered for NYE/Pandemic Birthday, and as we were staying at a hotel with a limited kitchen, having to heat up the food properly was a problem as it was their NYE special that needed to be warmed sous vide. But Matthew, was so helpful and offered to ask the chef to warm everything for us during their busiest night and help me order the right items (I tend to over-order). Everything was great and prices were reasonable for the quality of food!

Whisky specials, great atmosphere, good food. Try the house red!

Food : Everything was pretty plain and greasy. Burnt ends were dry and tough. Oyster were good.

Service : Service was good and friendly

Carbon Bar is an all around classy joint!

Walking into the space I immediately asked the hostess "What used to be in this building?" To my surprise learnt that it used to house the original Electric Circus Nightclub, CityTV and a dance recital hall for Disney's cruise ships! The new hip restaurant pays tribute to each past tenant in creative ways ;)

Heavy on the meat dishes, Carbon Bar has a packed menu with everything from a beef cheek burger to mushroom and grits! The beer selection is fun with local and imported offerings galore.

My fav however was the peanut slaw side that my buddies and I shared. It had the perfect crunch and zing to compliment our dinners. The icing on the cake was the rib samples that arrived at our table...compliments of the chef of course. Even though I don't eat meat, twas a nice gesture!

Great ribs, chicken and brisket. The sea food platter is also very good. But if you want quality smoked meat this is a great choice.

Great atmosphere, amazing food and the staff is the best around!

Had a great experience at the Carbon bar with my girlfriend. The service was excellent, special thank you to Martin and Leah, both are extremely pleasant and actually make me want to come back. Im taking one star off as the food is nothing special, out of 6 dishes we tried, nothing stood out. As said, I would come back for great ambience and fun/friendly staff.

Excellent food and cocktails. The service on my latest visit was incredible. I don't have allergies, but some of the guests in my group did. They brought items, explained what they were and how they were made just for them without the allergens.

Ordered the meat platter that comes with beef brisket, ribs, and chicken. The brisket was not as tender as expected, the rib sauce could have been better, and I wasn t a fan of the chicken. Didn t really enjoy the main course but loved the ceviche app. Let s just say I had a rough evening due to the food, and will most likely not be coming back.
