The restaurant is pretty cool the food is not that great, last time I went there it was like having KFC

Pretty good BBQ. Seafood is really good too. Crazy to be closed on Sundays though, this is the type of place weekend tourists would be flocking to

We had a great time in this spot. We enjoyed the first-rate environment and the food. The waiters were very affable. I m happy we ultimately decided to visit here.

Awesome food cool specials too trendy venue ...but a little pricey

Went there on a Friday night for a friends birthday. Ordered the duck tacos to start and the brisket for my main. Both were flavourless I even had to ask for salt and pepper to season the brisket, but even then there was no saving it. The brisket was dry and difficult to eat. I am not the kind of person to send food back or the type to be difficult, but the server was aware I had taken a bite out of my food and never asked how the food was. I decided to just leave it and not even bother because I was just ready to get out of there

Decor is awesome. High ceiling. Friendly service. We got a complimentary appetiser. It was great. Enjoyed few snacks and red wine with happy hour discount. I dun remember which red wine i ordered but it was pretty good. Recommend to try their KFC (Korean fried cauliflower) thumbs up.

Always great food and service. Rib meat falls off the bone! Brisket is buttery soft.

Decent southern BBQ and fried chicken. Overrated. Gorgeous building however. I would go there again for the bar and ditch the dinner.
Their barbecue sauces are quite disappointing. I wish they served a standard barbecue sauce without trying to get too creative with it.

Great upper class casual spot. Good for dinner and drinks before the show. Booze menu is diverse and solid. Raised by Wolves highly recommended. Food was decent and service was engaging. Would return after financial recovery from last bill. Bring your wallet.

Probably the best food I've had in Toronto. When I ate that little end of the brisket I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Bit expensive, but it's definitely worth it. And the atmosphere is beautiful.

This is a really beautiful venue. It s modern and funky and the seating is excellent everywhere. The menu has lots of different options and it s really hard to pick what you want. Did you offer platter type menu so that you can get a little tasting of everything but the servers will suggest that you get more than what is on there. I highly suggest ordering a platter between four people and then see where you re at because everything is very filling and because it s barbeque it s also very rich and there aren t a ton of vegetables you can get to sort of cut that richness.The food is very decent it s not the most mind blowing barbeque in the city but it is presented nicely the flavours are nice and the meet is always tender.

Excellent food! We hosted our engagement party in the Green room and everyone had a great time.

Pretty disappointing for the price point. Very little variety in the $34 per person platter. Boring, underseasoned fried chicken. Decent brisket and ribs. Had the 'korean' fried chicken which was pretty mushy, but had a decently authentic sauce.

Service was not good. Server barely visited us, had little to no knowledge of the atrocious beer selection (didn't know what type of beer a permanent staple on their menu was and said "it just tastes like water" [like that's a selling point]), and was fairly inattentive (he didn't even ask how the food was).

Total bill was $120 after tip for the two of us, which is an easily reasonable amount to spend on a nice dinner out, but didn't produce the quality we expected.

Excellent brisket burger. Definitely one the best burgers in the city

The food and ambiance here are both amazing. Definitely worth a visit.

I loved the high ceiling and those giant platters. The brisket is good but a bit on the dry side.

Fine for cocktails but the food isn't anything special

I've been to many places in Toronto and hands down this is the absolute best restaurant in this city. Impeccable quality of food, nice service, great atmosphere with interior design. I haven't had such a great dinner in a really long time. I shared a couple of plates with 2 other friends including beet salad, mac & cheese (this was above and beyond), steak and truffled ricotta dumplings. Each dish was mouth watering to the point we stopped talking and kept eating. Thank you so much for this great place. Will come back!

The drink I had was excellent. Haven't tried any food (yet).

Had a business dinner in the private meeting room. The food was fantastic. We had a 5 course meal with incredible service. The bbq was phenomenal and did not need an ounce of sauce. Burnt ends, ribs, brisket and chicken. Everything was first rate.

They do everything right here. Whoever was the brains behind this restaurant, I'd love to bankroll his next project. Aside from the spectacular food, the wine list is reasonable, the decor is hip and tasteful, they play great music and they have great staff. One of my favorite after work watering holes.

We came for Sunday brunch for my partner's birthday and it was such a good decision! This was our second visit. We ended up sitting in the bar area which was very cool and got a lot of natural light compared to the rest of the restaurant and there were very few diners.

Service was great and the waitstaff was very friendly. The decor is very cool and I love the booths setup for seating. Only thing to note is that the bathrooms are near the front of the restaurant and that can be a bit of a pain when you're seated upstairs in the back.

Mimosas were a good choice and I enjoyed my chicken and waffles. Partner enjoyed his Huevos El Carbon even more. Food plates are plentiful so you won't leave hungry.

Fantastic evening for my wife s birthday tonight. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to guests with dietary restrictions despite having a large party on the set menu. Everyone loved the atmosphere and was blown away by the food. The snacks and appetizers were inventive and delicious, the octopus was cooked extraordinarily well, and the meat course really impressed everyone. The brisket was so tender, juicy, and flavourful that we wished we weren t too full to finsh it. Many hadn t heard of The Carbon Bar, but were looking forward to trying things on the regular menu. Even the vegetarian.

It s little bit expensive but atmosphere and food are really good.

Amazing portions, great food, fantastic staff. We got the pit-masters platter for two and it was amazing. Will be back!

Really Good food. Dark atmosphere but friendly staff.

I think their specialty is fried chicken and as someone who normally hates that stuff, they did it surprisingly well. Meat was juicy and tender, and the crispy breading was perfect. I find their chipotle dipping sauce too lemony though.

The Carbon Bar is an exquisite restaurant where you can enjoy innovative grilled dishes. I highly recommend it.

Great place for drinks and a quick bite. They have some great handcrafted drinks that are really hard to put down lol. They make a kick ass bloody Caesar as well.

Amazing BBQ food. The BBQ pit platter is to die for! A bit on the expensive side though.

I had an amazing time here celebrating my birthday 2 weeks ago! We had made an early reservation (530pm) so there weren't many people. Our waiter was super kind, the manager and bartender were also extremely friendly. The food was amazing! The everything platter for 2 with a side if mac & cheese are to die for. Their customers service is an 11/10, and they went above & beyond to celebrate my birthday too. Thank you for a great 1st time experience!!!

Great food, great atmosphere. The barbecue here is phenomenal, a must try - especially the brisket and the ribs. Their espresso bbq sauce is also really good and a must try! Highly recommended

Good initial attention then left unattended for 20 min even specifically mentioned we need a quick turnaround.. very slow service.

This place has all the right elements but somehow the elements are not very well put together. It's almost the place is too big and the people inside are not tight enough to have good contacts. BBQ was very good but with any BBQ, it cools off too quickly.

We were a group of nine. We did the carbon bar experience which gave a wide variety of choices and allowed for small tasting of different parts of the menu. It's served family style. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is very loud and energetic. The restaurant itself is very impressive and unexpected when you first walk in.

I go to this great spot often! This is my favorite spot to grab a bite. I go there regularly. The cooking is fantastic, the crew is friendly and the price is affordable. I enjoy meeting in this spot to have a decent meal.

Food was excellent. We got the platter with beef brisket, ribs and fried chicken and it was all top notch!

I'm usually too lazy to review things, but here I go. We had reservations here tonight set up by my sister that fell through the cracks. The staff was so apologetic and offered us a few solutions. We opted to sit at the bar and were comped about $100 worth of food and drinks. This in addition to friendly, attentive staff and delicious food made for a memorable night. I've worked in the service industry and know how easy it is to make small mistakes, and they went way above and beyond to make up for it. Great place!

Surely a place worth stopping over, the food is awesome and well prepared, the prices are fair and it is constantly clean here. 5 stars.

Best place i visited in Toronto. Great bbq meat and very special cocktails. Staff was perfect and there is a lot of choice in some amazing wines. Not the cheapest place, but really the best choice for your money

Inconsistent barbecue but I love the space and they do great drinks.

Come here for a great atmosphere, delicious bourbons and of course, BBQ... they also make 2 types of old fashioned if you re into that kind of thing.

Really enjoyed drinks-and-snacks at the bar. The space is airy with its soaring loft-like ceilings. The bar snacks we sampled were tasty (I particularly recommend the tartare). We had mixed reactions to our cocktails and, as with many places, it seems dependant on who makes it. I was ordering back-to-back old fashioneds and they varied from perfectly built to average, depending on which bartender was making them. The same goes for the customer service: it varied from charming and pleasant to "why are you bothering me?", depending on who was serving us.

Meh. It's not that special of a place. It has a nice atmosphere but the food is just deep fried everything and the drinks are mostly water. Their service is good though and everyone is very friendly. I wouldn't go back - the food is far too heavy for me - but if you're into deep fried goods you might like it.

I've been to The Carbon Bar twice in 2 years, its a great place for amazing food and excellent atmosphere. I only wish I lived closer to go here more frequently.

Great food and great service. Tried the crocodile meat which was ok but i probably wouldnt order it again. The cauliflower was amazing. Hint of spice and very refreshing. Ordered the burger which is one of the top 10 in for burgers right and and it didnt fail to deliver. My girlfriend ordered the duck tacos with with an additional duck bacon which was absolutely delicious. Duck bacon was a first for me and it will definitely not be the last. Atmosphere is great, drinks and specialty drinks are good and the food is amazing. They even did a quick birthday greeting for my friend that involved a quick fire design on the bar table. Brandon and his colleague were absolutely fantastic, he even posed for a photo. I would highly recommend this place.

Some plates were not well designed for the food they held, but the portions were amazing.

I love this place very much. It has a great feeling. The food is good. the service is powerful and the crew is well trained. The pay is honest. very much recommend.

The waitress brought the check and machine before we asked, it was only few people in the restaurant back there and we still on our wines!

Food is great, although dessert menu lacklustre. Service was friendly but extremely slow while I was there.

Hulky martinis always good. Solid spot for post din drinks en route to next stop.
