The pit master platter is a fantastic group option that samples all their smoked meats plus some is the best fried chicken I've had.

Great ambience, bright, friendly staff, and overall a great spot for lunch, brunch or dinner. I made reservations for a few friends ahead of time, and since one friend was bringing a toddler, we requested a high chair. I got a call on the morning of our visit that they did not have high chairs or booster seats. Bummer, but I am glad they called and told me. It wasn't an issue for us, but I can see it can be a challenge for some.

We were there for bunch on a Sunday, and the menu looked really good. The chicken and waffles was tasty, although a little greasy and on the sweeter side. Couple of my friends had the huevos, which they said were really good!

My only complaint, was the way the huevos were plated. It was on a piece of wooden board - there was a cast iron hot plate on the board, alongside tortillas, guacamole, pico de gallo and charred lemon. Pretty, but the server almost dropped it on my friend, as he was carry two of them. Not the fault of the server whatsoever, the cast iron plate slid and knocked over the pico all over the floor. Luckily the hot plate did not fall on my friend. The wooden board serving platters are getting ridiculous. They should have at least put a small tea towel under the hot plate to keep it from sliding.

This place is more than what you d expect for a typical BBQ joint. The platters are amazing and made for sharing, the cauliflower appetizer offsets the ridiculous amount of meat you ll be consuming. Have a Manhattan if you re into them, they are top notch. I went with a large party, we ordered a large platter with several apps to share; family style. Had a great time and the atmosphere was casual and fun. Just wish it was open later!

Not sure what the deal is with this company and their online delivery service. It looks like this restaurant sells the product that wasn't sold everyday to kitchenhub who sells to Door dash. Paid $35 for reheated day old food. Extremely sad.

Totally disregarded my life threatening allergy!! I understand that the servers are busy but that is no reason to skip out on due diligence for persons with allergies... I asked my server to check with the chef for the ingredients in an appetizer. I politely requested that the knives and pans that they use in the kitchen be cleaned prior to use. My server insisted that she knew the menu, therefore didn't need to ask the chef anything. I asked again and she lost her temper, completely and totally unprofessional... I walked back to the kitchen to speak with someone myself, they told me that a manger would come by the table. Manger came by mt table 2 minutes later, dropped the food of and said 'no nuts', then walked away without apologizing. The food was cold, there is no way that the appetizer was made fresh, and no way they washed the pan. What a horrible way to spend your money. I don't recommend anyone to go there, especially if you have an allergy.

Absolutely loved the place. Great atmosphere. service was amazing. We ordered the 5 course meal, not a single dish did we not like. Huge selection of bourbons and wines. The brisket and ribs were absolutely delicious and it just melts in your mouth. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for a nice dinner out. Portions are very reasonable. Cannot find anything wrong with this place.

The Carbon bar has an open and contemporary decor. There is a nice bar area along with a sizable dining area. The neighborhood is a bit on the sketch side, but it didn't bother me too much.

We came here specifically for the Pit Master Platter, which is a BBQ platter with fried chicken, pork ribs and beef brisket. IT also comes with fries and coleslaw according to the menu, but we only got fries....it didn't bother me that much since I never liked coleslaw anyway, but for others this might be an issue.

Me and my friend was pretty impressed with the platter. The portion size is definitely great and we were really full by the end. Both the brisket and pork ribs were very tender and flavourful, and the fried chicken (white meat) was deboned and had a very crunchy batter and it was great too.

I really wish The Carbon Bar had other BBQ items such as pulled pork or beef pastrami ribs so that it can be a full blown BBQ joint. Given that they also do other food items like seafood, tacos, brunch, etc, I know they will probably continue to keep a lean BBQ menu, which is a shame since they are doing a great job with the current items.

Overall, I am definitely a fan of this place and will definitely be back!

Great upscale barbecue with a twist. Best Manhattan I've had in ages and great craft beer on tap. Love the industrial but somehow cozy interior. Can't say enough about the great service. Keep up the good work.

Very cool place. Had the carbon bar experience which was a four course chef's choice meal. Incredible amount of food and really great service. Pork ribs were terrific as were the fried cauliflower starter. Even the vegetarians enjoyed themselves! Insta: @aliceeatstoronto

Carbon Bar is amazing! I love the steampunk look and dim lighting. The food is delicious! Everythig I've had ere has been impressive. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. Service, likewise, is also excellent.

I adore this spot! They provide good dishes, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that spot is well trained, I love very much tasting all their food. The food is consistently tasty, the service towards the clients is efficient. I often go to this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend this place.

We did the "let them take care of us" menu and boy, did they ever! So much delicious food and BBQ! It was a perfect evening and their drinks are worth every penny. We will be coming back!

We were here on Sat August 4th with a party of four. We opted for the Carbon Bar Experience, a meal which included all courses. The Chef s decided what apps, mid, main and desserts come out.
Our sever was awesome. She had a great handle on the wine menu and explained the food dishes as they came out. Over all the Experience was excellent. The hush puppies were great, the Shishito peppers were pretty good and the Korean fried cauliflower may as well have been the best chicken wings you ve ever had and these were just the snacks.
As apps we had the Mahi Mahi fish which we all felt was very mediocre. This was served with a wedge Caesar Salad, which essentially is a wedge of romaine with caesar dressing and some bacon on top. Tasty, but not earth shattering. And lastly the duck taco s were we re quite nice.
Next we had the Pitmaster Platter which really is the best BBQ you ll find in the city. It comes with smoked brisket, St. Louis (side) pork ribs, buttermilk fried chicken, fries, collared greens, and coleslaw. This main comes with dipping sauces for the meat but you ll only ruin the meat by dipping. The meat is seasoned and prepared too perfectly to add anything.
And finally we had the dessert, a nice platter of sweet chocolate, caramel and creamy things which my wife loved. I m not a big dessert guy, but I had a little taste and it was good.
We sat near the bar with a view out into Queen street and enjoyed the atmosphere.
At $69/person it was a bit steep, but we really did enjoy a terrific meal with friends.

Food was good but service was rushed. Would have been content ordering more but they clearly wanted us to leave so next reservation could come through. Kind of puts a damper on a night out.

Was there last weekend having a casual happy hour with some friends. Some drinks were on special from 4-6, had some good food at the bar. Staff was very nice as well. Highly recommended.

Ate at their pop up at Union and had the smoked Cubano which was phenomenal! The Mexican Street corn was good but the corn nuts on it were a bit strange and weren t needed. Overall would recommend.

Carbon bar is more known for their BBQ but one of their stand out foods is definitely the fried chicken.
It has a very good crisp and thick batter, and is moist on the inside. The only issue is that the spice and flavour on the batter itself is non existent, which would make sense due to the thick batter.

I was visiting Canada and this place was recommended by the locals! Very delicious food and super fresh. If you are a group of 3 or more I really recommend the platters so you can try a little bit of everything.

We always get a table, no matter how busy they are - they try to make it work and accommodate. Super friendly, super hard working. And the BBQ is amazing!

Whether you're looking to have a casual drink at the bar or an amazing sit down dinner, Carbon bar does both perfectly! The cocktails are killer and everything on the menu is brilliant. One of my favourite restaurants in the city

Went here for Winterlicious. Very delicious, service was excellent and the decor was modern and comfortable. The crowd was chill but seemed a tad pretentious. Either way, great place.

Very neat and convenient restaurant. They serve large meals and for economical prices. I loved the menu very much and the staff members were super affable and explanatory. Recommended.

The Old City TV building. Very cool. Slight attitude from the staff and the service could have been much more attentive however the food more than made up for it. best brisket I've ever had. For the main course just order the platter. The one other drawback was the amount of salt used. Whoa!

Great design and atmosphere. But food was just ok. Heavy on the salt, but ok on the flavour. Not a fan of the ribs at all.

A good choice of executive bar in downtown Toronto. The service is very good, they even sent samples of the menu to try.

This is a wonderful place for a date night or a quick lunch. The staff is wonderful, food is delicious and the bathroom is clean. And the alcohol is well made too

I've been here before for regular dinner and summerlicious and I'd have to say I've never been disappointed.



It's great for groups and dates in the spacious resto. I def recommend trying everything on their menu if possible (they have a tasting menu) but if you are just want to order a couple of items, that's fine too! just make sure to get the pit master platter, everything is fingerlicious good, just sad that there isn't more! I had the seafood Fishmonger Platter as well but I didn't find it as good as other restaurants but the items change so maybe it'll be good the next time. Just remember that the platter prices are based per person not per dish!

A bit of a splurge, treat yo self kind of place. BUT they do offer happy hour $6 beer, and wine (red,white,bubbles) from 4 to 6pm every Monday to Friday.

If the restaurant s manager thinks this is not a right review he or she is welcome to contact me and I ll explain what it s happening in the restaurant when people come and waste their time by looking at google reviews. We met with friends at this spot for lunch. my friend recommended this spot. Well, it was a winning. the crew were so friendly and we had a great feeling. The meal was tasty. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. Warmly recommended.

Accomodated our group of 11 without a reservation on a Tuesday evening. Because of the group size we followed a 3-course fixed menu. Everything was exceptionally tasty, from the sharing appetizers to the main meat platter pictured.

Service was great. And everyone enjoyed the cocktails.

The staff were great and extremely friendly, the vibe was also really nice. The food was unique but it was very expensive. Not somewhere I'd be eating again based on value/taste.
