Not in the best of neighborhoods. When we 1st arrived police were arresting someone in front of the hotel two days later another person was arrested inside the hotel. Was hard to sleep hearing sirens most of the night. No water pressure for the shower.

It was a little disappointing. The real complaint we have is that we even called before hand and asked about parking and there was no mention that we would be charged for it. We get the bill and we were charged $82 for 2 nights of parking.

The room was clean, but uncomfortably warm and stuffy in the middle of JANUARY. The ac/heat until was one of those older ones underneath the window. We hate the ac running on the coldest temperature with the fan on high the entire time we were there and it only would cool the room a couple of degrees. The hallway and elevators were much cooler.

Overall this place isn t worth the price. We will most likely not stay here again.

Spacious rooms, lovely pool. Staff was professional. However, a group of three men jeered and made lewd comments from their window as my friends and I walked in late in the evening. The clientele's drunken behavior is be fault of the hotel's.

Reasonably priced DC hotel that just finished their renovation. Short walk to Nationals Park and the shops and restaurants nearby. Easy access to the Southwest Waterfront Metro stop, the U.S Capitol building and the museums on the National Mall. Have attended several business meeting at the hotel and the food they serve is quite good.

The hotel has been a bit dated both outside and inside. I had no chance to see his "famous" pool because it is already closed. Even so, the value for money was not bad, except for the parking lot that costs an extra $ 40 a night. The people at the reception were not too kind to us at check-in. The room clean and comfortable.

Stayed for a business trip. Good prices and nice rooms. I did find the bar food to be subpar and the drinks were a bit expensive but I guess that's to be expected from a restaurant in a hotel. Breakfast was awesome and decent priced, though

It provides the basics, and served our purpose.. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. My challenge was the lack of central AC. The room was cooled via one old school wall unit. It was not enough to keep the room sufficiently cool at night. I was continuously waking up throughout the night.

Pretty nice hotel. Missing could be better wi-fi (it tends to be extremely slow at times), newer air conditioning that does not make noise as much and maybe a refrigerator. Moreover, our lock on the toilet was broken

We booked this hotel because it was advertised as near downtown and that it had a nice view, that's a lie! The rooms are small, the beds are not queen size as they advertise, no coffee maker, no microwave, the shower is terrible. Very disappointed.

This hotel is fairly well worn and a bit dated, but in a charming way. Little details that a name brand would be all over seem like they can go unnoticed here. One example, the safe in my room was broken, but easily fixable. I'm sure a call to the desk would have taken care of that, but I didn't travel with the my expensive heirlooms on this trip, so I didn't think to prompt that action. Or, the shower drain was just a bit slow, which would also be easily fixable. Again, not painful enough to act on. I noticed a few minor details like that in my short stay but they didn't make a difference, one way or the other.

Overall, the rooms are big and the beds comfortable. The pool and pool area is really quite nice (my kids lasted 90 minutes in one of the Smithsonian's before asking to go back to the pool). It has a bit of a resort vibe to it.

The food and drink selection and quality at the Morris Lounge wasn't bad, although it wasn't especially good. The breakfast buffet, in the Lapidus restaurant, however, was pretty good.

One thing that caught me was how the room rate was presented on the various hotel search websites. Where they market the rate at a massive discount (in my case, 65%+), you're really just getting the going rate. As I was checking in, someone walked in off the street, asked a clerk if they had any vacant rooms, and was immediately presented a rate that was within a few bucks off my 'highly discounted' rate. That's probably the way it goes at virtually every hotel, but that was the first time in all my travels that I had it spelled out in those specific terms. To be fair, I don't read the fine print, or most of the large print, on those sites, so maybe my expectation is off. Whatever the case, the room rate was better than most in the area, and turned out to be a good value.

Overall, it was a good experience and I'd go back again.

Good hotel for the price you pay. Nice service and great location. Don't rely on the free WiFi that they offer, very slow connection, though you can upload your service for 1$ per day. Also the hallways and the rooms tend to be smelly, otherwise it ain't bad for the decent price you get.

Poor service, slow elevators, requested a two bed room and received one queen (we have children) gust services said they were not responsible for third party reservation and we're not willing to help until others started to complain in line, then there was the frat party on our floor that went on until 3am. Need I say more? Never again.

Recently updated, moderately priced, and a short walk to the National Mall and Smithsonian institutions. Worked out well for our family vacation summer of 16. The morning shuttle is great to get your touring started fast. We did have trouble finding many restaurants nearby, so eat before coming back to the hotel. Also pool is a hot spot for locals on the weekends, but it didn't bother us.

They claim to have the best pool in DC but they don't open it when it's in the 70s and sunny. The hotel itself is ugly on the inside and especially out. The staff is awful - I called the front desk because our AC wasn't working, and after 10 rings they asked to put me on hold, on which I waited for almost 5 minutes. I called back and they transferred me to the off property reservation line. I also booked a king room but got two queen sized beds. The parking garage was full despite spending $35 a day to park. We'll be coming back to DC a lot but never to this hotel again.

This hotel is just okay. Checking in was okay. The lobby looks very nice and the room was a decent size. The floor I stayed on smelled of mildew which was a turn off. The bathroom was small and the tub was peeling. It was peeling so bad I thought it was dirty and went and brought products to clean it. There was also a bug in the tub and I could not control the air in my room. It was heat only which is crazy to me. There were also a few stains on the linen.

Not impressed.

Not impressed.

The staff was so short we had to look at our key cards to learn what room we were in. I was also unaware of the parking fee which adds up after staying for a few nights. After paying for the parking we learned that the Shuttle doesnt operate on Sunday so we will have to pay for parking in the city as well.

The rooms are very similar to the Microtel chain, very basic. Bathroom is small with no fan. Our reservation "preferred" a king size bed, we got two twins... maybe they didnt have any more but I've got my doubts. They didn't appear to be very busy this weekend.

It hasn't been the worst place I've stayed in but I knew what I was getting into for those other horrid stays when I was alone, this was suppose to be a nice hotel for my lady.

The two people on staff last night between the hours of 8pm-10pm were very unprofessional and discourteous, they are not a good representation of D.C. hospitality. I WILL TELL ALL OF MY FRIENDS NOT TO SPEND THEIR MONEY AT THIS HOTEL.

This hotel doesn't even deserve a star... Worst hotel ive ever stayed in. Reserved a room at a cheap price and went to go pay and they charged me double. The lady at the counter said it was because of tax...NO WiFi. Then! Got a room with mcdonalds trash all over the place. Stains on the blankets Woke up to go down stairs for free breakfast. They wanted to charge an extra $35. Also you have to pay an extra $45 to park in their parking lot. Rediculous! Never again!

It's right down the street from the Nationals park and a nice walk to the National Mall with all it's museums and landmarks. Hotel decor is upscale and overall a nice stay with friendly staff. The beds are a little hard and our room has a bit of an odd smell. Other than that it's been a nice stay with a perfectly acceptable breakfast.

I just came from washigton, the hotel is very nice, very modern, the rooms are really good , the only thing that maybe needs a litle update is the bathroom but in general we like it, we had a litle situation at the chek in but everything was resolved and the people on the front desk were really nice, the location is perfect, you can walk to the capitol and they have the shuttle, really nice area to eat around the hotel, so I recommend this hotel

Probably the worst customer service I ever had and ever will experience. I booked my vacation for March in December, and three days before my trip date I got an email telling me there was an overbooking. They had already taken my money and to make it up to me, put me in a cheaper hotel 5 miles out of the city, in Virginia. No one called me, no one apologized, they made it seem like it was my fault they made a booking error. I had to cancel my reservations with them and find a last minute hotel in the city. Over all I would NEVER recommend this hotel, they have no respect for their clientele, I would have given it a 0 star rating if that was possible.

Well the rooms are cleaned daily. They central air was not working well in 90 degree weather and all the ice machines were down. If you want to use hotel parking and eat breakfast then make sure you have it included in the package otherwise if you want it you'll pay for it once you arrive. The pool area is really nice with seating too.

The hotel is located in an area with a lot of highway noise, and being an older building, the soundproofing is not very good. The room is fairly up to date, but the HVAC seems dated and doesn't have auto climate control. You need to adjust it from the main unit by the window. The bed was very comfortable and I got a great night's sleep. However my shower the next morning was not very good. The water gets hot, but pressure is very low. I don't have long hair, but it took almost 5 minutes to rinse the shampoo from my hair.

Wow ! I was calling the hotel to resolve my credit card refound because I was over charge for the product I never received.
It was so hard to communicate with the front desk. I was cut off all the time without having an option of explaining everything. Next, I was transferred to accounting department maybe 5 times without any results.
Above of everything person in front desk named Hatile (I hope I get name correct) was so rude from the beginning of our conversation, I was on hold so many times and I have to call over and over again. Her respond and voice tone was disrespectful and an appropriate.
I do work in hospitality over 13 years. THIS IS NOT THE WAY YOU TREAT YOUR GUESTS. I will never come to this hotel ever again.
For all of the respect, it's take me a lot to fail complain a specialty I do understand management position but this is unbelievable.

Do NOT stay here if you are trying to relax and visit the capitol with the family. Apparently there is a pool party every single day, meaning that you cannot use it as a guest. Plus the parking lot is super packed due to all the people who come to the parties. It was a nightmare having to find parking outside, and having to deal with drunk ppl.

The room is clean, tidy and pleasantly large. The interior is extremely pleasant. However, we noticed today that at the same price we have booked (without breakfast) today the same room including breakfast would be available. That means we would have saved $ 128 if we booked spontaneously today. Very annoying. Normally, we assume that it is cheaper in advance.
