The hotel was great amazing view bedrooms were clean. The only down fall is there is not many places to eat in a good walking distance and the breakfast buffet was terrible only thing good were the waffles !!! Was not worth 14 dollars a person with only a couple things to choose from. But over all great experience .

Pros are it is within walking distance of Nationals Park and several restaurants, on site underground parking, a half decent breakfast buffet and the rooms are good and beds comfortable. Cons are they could use more than a single uncomfortable chair in the room, maybe a fridge or microwave too. Also a little pricey to go see a baseball game but gotta pay for the location I guess. Staff I interacted with were pleasant.

Quite nice hotel for the price/location. Rooms are pretty basic for the price but clean and the beds are very comfortable. Great pool. Breakfast was a big disappointment for $15. Front desk staff really should be more helpful. We didn't know about the free shuttle until days later. It'd also be helpful to know that the FREE Circulator bus is only 4 blocks away...

Quick and easy check in and check out. Only complaint is that the room wasn t being heated when I got there so it was cold for a bit before it warmed up. Easy access to the city from here with a decent price

You can tell it's an older hotel, but it has been recently renovated and was very comfortable for our stay. It's also within walking distance to both The Wharf and the Nationals stadium, which is a huge plus! Not every room has a view of the Capitol building but ours did, and it was beautiful!

Well, I would love to tell you how this hotel was just minutes away from all the best monuments in DC and how the staff was wonderful. But that would be a lie. 40 minutes before our check in time, I received an email stating that my reservation was being moved due to "maintenance issues". Turns out that they had sent us over an hour away from the national mall. My advice, just don't go to DC.

Parked here using spothero. The gate was closed so you have to go to the front desk to check your reservation and they will open the roll up door for you. Plenty of covered parking. Would be nice if there were multiple entrances/exits for just people parking. Otherwise easy process.

Interieur partly outdated, the staff not exactly friendly and you rarely experience that in the US, the location: if you ask me, we were very close to a social hot spot, not what you want in your holiday feeling, in the No one of us in the dark went out there anymore.

Really nice room, awesome pool area and good drinks. However, there was waaaaay too many kids running around. Like people came in and brought their kids to the pool that weren't even staying at the hotel. I witnessed it firsthand. I couldn't even really enjoy the pool because all of the chairs were taken and there were kids running and splashing everywhere. I actually ended up getting stuck with the room because I was originally attending a pool party rave event that was being held there that got cancelled because of the venue, so I decided to stay anyway and not throw my money down the drain. I would definitely stay again if they were to hold that event, but I wouldn't just come here to stay and use the pool because of how crowded it was.

Really great value hotel and the staff are nice. Comfortable clean rooms and great bar. There's a free shuttle bus to tourist attractions in the mornings. However I only rate 3 stars because the pool was closed and this was the main reason we booked here. The weather was consistently in high 80's so how silly not to extend the season when it's so hot. We enjoyed bar food on our first night so the next night we arrived back to eat around 10pm as we knew they serve until 1030pm but the kitchen was closed, not great. Would stay again but will compare to other places with regards to the pool.

Excellent facilities The guy at the super nice reception! (I can not say the same about the buffet guy, as we repeated food he wanted to charge us, and the room included breakfast, he made us have a hard time.

Very nice hotel, spacious and very comfortable rooms, the service is very good. The bad, the garage is worth $ 40 per night, the rooms do not have a refrigerator, but you can take one for $ 15 during your entire stay.

Great view from my room on the top floor. The restaurant for breakfast was great, but could have used more fruit options. The rooms were nice and service was great. The ice machines were all broken while I was there.

Everything was awesome EXCEPT the breakfast buffet. There were no options. If you didnt want orange juice, your option was water, coffee, or tea. The eggs were runny. You are better off paying for breakfast at a restaurant rather than at the hotel.

I rarely write reviews but this place needs to be avoided. Smelly rooms, very run down in general. One day my "fresh" towel smelled like it had been used to soak up old frying oil at McDonalds. Trust me and the other extensive reviews on this one and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Ridiculously overpriced, too. The WiFi is a joke. The list of things wrong with it could be almost endless

Clean but a bit dated and feels old in the rooms. The location is ok but will continue to get better as the area near the ball field continues to be developed. I would stay here again. Also, breakfast was not included in my room but was only 10 bucks for the buffet which was decent.

Nice hotel, good rooms, bathroom could use an update.
We enjoyed the pool. Friendly and helpful staff.
However, the food in the bar is rubbish and way over priced. Cesar salade was not nice at all, plastic pre-made cheese, chicken was all in perfect slices and tasted fake and the croutons were also not fresh. And the guacamole was fresh from a can..
Didn't expect it from this hotel.

This hotel may have some nice perks but they have many downsides. Security is freaky and on the weekends you seem to notice that it doubles or even triples. They do not allow you to bring food or drink into the pool area and if you want food in that area, they force you to buy their "food". I had a burger and it was not prepared very well. The meat was cheap and the chips it comes with were bad. Security as seems the best check bags before going into the pool area. Why? Another thing is that they don't really seem to care if your room is nice or not. When I first got their the bed sheets were wrinkly as if they were using the same bed sheets and just making the bed. This hotel is not very class and ugly on the outside. Classy on the inside but that's does not account for the bad service. Only come here if you are a super flexible individual and can deal with this places crap.

Good rooms and service. Near the Capitol, about 20 minutes walking, there are no services near the hotel and the area is not the best, otherwise it is very good. Free bus to the main attractions of this city. Gym 24 hours. Powerful WiFi, satellite TV with thousands of channels and a small autobar in the hall

Good location and attention. Our room had a view of the Capitol. Close to everything, National Mall on one side and National Stadium on the other. A normal hotel, but with a beautiful pool and amenities to bring your own food. It also has a bar and restaurant.

Hotel was ok at best. Soaps were non lathering were useless. Was way to HOT in hotel. Had room temp turned all the way down but still wouldn't cool the room. Spoke to management and he said they had several complaints same day and all he could say was it's an old hotel. Food was frozen foods nothing fresh except a hamburger. Rooms were fairly clean but nothing to boast about. No fridge in room and you need to walk to the lower level just for ice. The are well overpriced for what you get.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. We stayed here over independence day. We hit the pool that morning, only to find out they were throwing a pool party. We stayed until it got too crowded - apparently they sell memberships to the pool so locals can visit. They have a great bar/DJ, so I can see the appeal. It was quite loud during the day, but they closed the pool at 9pm, so guests can still enjoy their sleep. The lobby is very hipster, and all the lights in the place are the cheap paper ones from IKEA, which I like. The manager is very nice and charismatic, he walks around and talks to everyone. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The place is clean and very presentable. Its located in what my wife considers an up-and-coming neighborhood. On the way to the capitol bldg, you pass a park and elementary school. If u live within driving distance of DC, bring your bikes and stay here. It is about a 15 min bike ride to Lincoln, the farthest attraction from this hotel. So much easier than driving and finding a parking spot.

Hotel is in a convenient location near the city center. A taxi to the Capitol costs $ 8.50 but in the morning there is a 3x free shuttle bus. The rooms are spacious with 2 large twin beds. They are clean and there is a full bathroom with a toilet, bath and shower. Staff is friendly and helpful. There is a swimming pool in the garden and a small shop at the reception. There is a restaurant (pool restaurant) with a simple menu, but with "good food". I had a delicious fresh Caesar salad with a generous steak for $ 18.

We really liked the style of the hotel. I though it was pretty cool that our room had pictures of the presidents as well as the constitution on the wall. The room was very spacious and it was an upgrade from the days inn. There was no room service and the parking on site was 25 dollars a night but if you park just right across the street, its free on weekends. I would recommend. Also, even though I am muslim, I liked that the people were having church on Sunday morning.

A somewhat dated hotel, but the location is ideal for smaller city tours in Washington. Unfortunately, the rooms are quite dark and exude a slight 70s charm. However, this definitely makes up for the situation. There are numerous opportunities to have a bite nearby. The staff are nice the rooms clean what more could you want.

Clean and inexpensive hotel boasting views of the capitol and Washington monument. Getting in and out at rush hour can be a nightmare, but that's the same anywhere in DC. I love the close proximity to the national mall and government seat.

Who ever designed their website did a great job of covering up what a crummy hotel this is! The staff (except for a few) are unhelpful and don't seem to know anything about the building they work in. No one could even get me a cup of hot water. Expect "out of order" signs on the machines you were hoping to use in the fitness room. Each day they told me it would be fixed THAT day...3 days later..still broken. Small dingy rooms with zero amenities. A big TV...but 5 channels. The owner put a lot of energy into decorating the lobby with tacky furniture...and ZERO energy into making it a place you look forward to get rest in. Wish we'd had paid more for a place worth its price tag.

Our stay was good, the room was clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was also convenient for getting on the metro. The only thing that was less than ideal was the $40 parking fee and the super low parking garage roof. We had a small rack on the roof and couldn't get in. There are pipes lower than the posted 6 foot clearance.
