I had been looking at a new Explorer online and got connected with Billy Stephenson. We went to see him and the Explorer and had a super experience. Billy is a wonderful representative for Capital Ford and treated us with the utmost of respect and courtesy. No pressure for anything and we closed a deal on our new Explorer quite quickly. If you're looking for a quite reasonable deal from a superb sales rep give Billy Stephenson a call.

Everyone was so helpful! I was provided with quotes and deals and I never felt pressured to make a decision. In fact, I was urged to go home and discuss my options in order to make the best decision for myself. I ended up purchasing a brand new Escape for nearly what I would have paid for a verified pre-owned one. Everyone was so open and friendly and explained everything to me. As a first time new car buyer, I could not have asked for a better experience, or group of people. I would recommend Capital Ford to anyone!

Car was taken in to diagnose a problem, they tell me what it is, I agree to have it fixed. I pick up the car after it's done, and the problem still persists. I immediately let them know, and they tell me that the fix is something completely different than what they just did, tell me it's gonna be another $600+tax to fix(keep in mind I just payed $400+ to "fix" it earlier that day.) They tell me that the previous charge is non-refundable, despite the fact that they misdiagnosed it, because the car "needed that part replaced anyways" for an unrelated reason. When pressed about it, they give me the typical run-around, talk to me on the phone as if I'm stupid, ect. Go elsewhere for out-of-warranty repairs, they like to play the shady stealership scam that is all too common. Tempted to even mention the specific employees names, but that would likely get this review removed.

Good and bad experience here. Our sales person, Scott was fantastic, as for the other who helped us after bringing the vehicle back, less than stellar. Went in looking for a used minivan and they had a few to chose from but not on their lot so Scott offered to have them brought there. One was sold as he was asking about it and we then found another, a 2006 Honda Odyssey that he had brought in. They would not budge on the price he said, but then found a big dent on the back that was never in a picture. (it was POURING when I went so looked at in the garage there and they had the back open.) This was before the mechanic....
This van needs/ed 2 new belts as they were all cracked and also a new water pump and the passenger mirror put back on properly. Never mind the DVD player and Nav would not work but they would not take $ off for those, even though it was listed in the ad as working....We wanted to talk to Scott but the other gentlemen there said he could handle it, even though I did not want him too. We showed him the 2 sheets of what was wrong, the total to fix and asked if anything could be done. He looked at the sheets, said nothing of the major stuff and said the mirror could be fixed. But then asked if we really liked the car, it fit our needs, etc and did not see a big issue with the fact that it was not inspected properly before being listed a month ago at another of their locations. In a round about way they said those would not be fixed and did we want to find another vehicle....? We really liked this one, how it handled, had room for the family, etc but the fact that they would not change the belts and pump, which had never been changed on this vehicle was pretty disappointing. We would have paid asking price or slightly under w/ the non-working items is they would have fixed these issues, but it was never a question. Why would I buy a used car, that was under KBB, but well over the other 2 car pricing sites that needed $1000 worth of work before being stranded on the side of the road?! And why would I want to try to find another car in your inventory and have the same type of thing wrong that you do not want to fix? Bad business IMO, the car should have been properly inspected and made safe to drive before being listed for sale, not lets make some $ on some unsuspecting people. I am putting this out there so no one else buys this vehicle and PLEASE, have a used car inspected by YOUR mechanic before buying from them or anywhere else.
Our salesperson was one of the nicest I have met on a car lot and was willing to do anything for us to have a 2nd vehicle, but when your managers do not want to properly fix a car, help you out, OR even take the diagnostic sheet to show THEIR service department the issues, that is where I draw the line. I work in business and was taught the Customer is your boss, w/o them you do not get paid, but I guess here the customer is not their boss and they would rather have the next unsuspecting customer come in and buy it based on drive alone, so then then get stranded as these issues should have been taken care of 30,000 miles ago.

I called my salesman, Matt Webb and told him I was in the market for a new F150 pickup. We made a plan for me to meet him around 9:00 AM on a Saturday morning. He met me out front as I pulled up to the dealership. After I had decided on a particular truck that I wanted, he made arrangements to go pick it up at a dealership nearby. We agreed on a deal and he was on his way to pick up the truck. While he was gone to get the truck, I was in the office with Mike doing all the paperwork. Everything moved along very well and smooth. A little later in the afternoon I picked up my new truck all cleaned up and ready to go and went home. Overall, I had a very good experience at Capital Ford.

I recently used the collision center at Capital Ford. I had hail damage to my 2014 Honda CRV, my insurance recommended I use this shop. They estimated 8 days to repair, 26 days later I got my car back. They didn't fix my tail light that had cracked in the hail storm, there were new scratches on the door and back hatch, they also had over sprayed the paint and gotten it on my trim which they didn't clean up, and my paint was bubbled on the back end of the car. I returned my car to have these issues fixed one week later when they could fit me back into their schedule ( no apologies for the bad service was given either), it took them 3 weeks to "fix" these issues. Upon picking my car up the 2nd time we noticed that the trim was still never fixed. After having the car for 4 days, heavy rain came, it was then I noticed that my ROOF is leaking! I have water damage on the fabric lining the roof of my car, which is where they replaced the roof on the original repairs. I have called the dealership and left a message with the general manager, whom after 3 days still hasn't returned my call. This collision center has no cares what so ever for customers. DO NOT USE this company for any repairs. My insurance co is now having to pay another repair shop to fix my roof and trim.

While visiting from NJ some dashboard lights came on. I found Capital Ford and pulled in fully expecting to be gauged. I was created with a friendly smile and directed to the service department. I was asked if I wanted a bottle of water. Austin was the second person I met. He listened to my story, took my keys, and took the car in. Tony the mechanic was the 3rd person. He explained what he had found, surmised that I was probably make it all the way home.
Bottom line...if I lived in the area I would take my car and buy my car from this dealers ship.

I had a great experience with Capital Ford. I was having transmission issues, and when I took it in to have them look at it, they got me scheduled the next week. They kept me updated via text and phone calls and kept my car until i was able to pick it up. Thankfully, the work was covered by warranty, and they let me know that before I even had to ask how much it would cost. Everyone was helpful and the work was done timely. Thank you, Capital Ford.

Took my truck in for service and person behind the service desk looked at me and continued there personal conversation with another employee. Then they wanted to roll their eyes at me because I don't speak dealership. Then when I got my truck back a/c was turned on the windows had been rolled down. I'm sorry but I'm the customer you don't need to touch anything in my truck but the ignition and the steering wheel, nothing else unless I ask you to fix something. But because I bought the service package, that will be the only reason I go back into that dealership. This not the first time I've had a problems with there so called service department.

This review is so overdue! I purchased my used Audi A3 sedan from the Capital Ford location about a month ago and I LOVE my car. LOVE. IT. If you're looking for an HONEST salesman who won't harass and/or pressure you into a purchase- go see Mack Bowman. I went through this car buying process alone and not once did I feel like I was being tricked or pressured. I came in well informed, stubborn and extremely picky. Nonetheless, Mack was very patient with me. He went above and beyond to get me what I didn't even know I was looking for (all while staying within my budget). The staff here is easy going, welcoming and kind. I I had no idea car buying could be so stress-free. Seriously, don't waste your time elsewhere. Go check them out and ask for Mack. Thank me later! :-)

The financing manager was abundantly clear that he was not concerned with going to bat for us. It was made clear that since our purchase was not an easy, cut and dry sale, it wasn't worth the dealership's time and effort.

In the world of auto dealers, Capital Ford is near the top of the list - they treat you with respect, and although it takes a little time to buy a car these days, when you walk out the door and drive away in your new Ford, you have a feeling of satisfaction.

Greg Fuller worked hard to make a sale that worked for me. I got what I needed for my trade, got the vehicle I wanted, and got payments that are comfortable. This is the 2nd time I bought a Ford there, and I will go back for the next one.

I purchased an Explorer XLT. Leasing for first time. Wayne the sales Mgr was incredibly helpful and aggressively, generous. His insight and confidence, kept me from changing my mind. My sales agent Lew, was equally knowledgeable and enthusiastic. He knew everything about my selected vehicle, which in turn made me feel confident. The dealership could use a make-over but it was a small price to pay in esthetics for the deal and Professionalism I encountered by the entire staff. I am VERY satisfied.

Duane also called prior to completion of work to inform me of another issue that the mechanic noted needed attention (I never knew a problem existed) and was informative of all work and costs and coverage for the issue. Duane was also eager to assist with transportation while I awaited the work to be completed.

Bought an f150 new in 2008. Bought another in July 2016 Used. Was ok until paper's were sign and $10,000 down payment was paid....Was an act of God to get any answer's after that point..They kept the truck for 10 day's to do a list of thing's they promised to do. After finally getting my truck they had done only 1 out of 5 thing's on list. Had to finish cleaning and repair's on my own....Last truck that will ever be purchased from Capital Ford!!!!

He was prompt, knowledgeable, and thorough about the SUV's origin, records, and operations. He was attentive the needs of our family and negotiated a fair deal. He remained the same friendly guy who acted with integrity even through points where we were indecisive about whether or not we were going to buy. I would highly recommend working with him and purchasing from Ford - we love our truck!

I love the vehicle itself but I've had nothing but...

I love the vehicle itself but I've had nothing but issues with it since I bought it.

The Transmission had given me problems since very early on and no dealership has been able to fix it. I've taken it to 2 different dealerships about 10 times and they still can't fix it.

The radio and AC have given me issues since day one also. They finally fixed that after numerous trys.

The last time my vehicle was there at the dealership my vehicle got damaged and they refuse to do anything about it. They say they can't figure out how it got damaged so they won't do actinanything about it.

Overall my experience with the sales force at capital ford wad great but my car still has issues that the service center can't fix.

I was not exactly ready to buy a new car although my husband was because I have a long commute on I40. Ron Speller was extremely patient with us. No aggressive sale moves. It just appeared to us he want us to get the right car for our family within the budget we were working with. Ron tirelessly went back and forth across that lot looking at other cars and other potential cars we might like. Even when I had to quit my serch for a few days because I was not feeling weel, Ron sent me a text to check on me. Not to see if I wanted to buy the car but to see if I was alright. I would return to Captial Ford and refer friends and families there as well. James Bennett was also a huge help in explaining the 'numbers' to you! Both men were very articulate and persoanable with tons of knowledge on the Ford products. I love my Edge Sport.

I brought my 2016 F150 in for a few recalls and asked for my tailgate hatch button to be looked at since it had stopped working. Because it is a relatively new vehicle and a relatively easy thing to evaluate I thought they would take a quick look at it without charging me the full hours worth of labor. I was wrong, they said to even take a look at it they would be charging a full $170. When I said Ford should step up when it comes to minor things like this the service person told me "we are not Ford Motor Company". The service person then asked if I had bought the truck from this specific dealership and when I told him no, he said he could not help me. I also asked to be called by my assigned service manager and never received any call about my truck. Overall this place has absolutely horrendous customer service with very passive aggressive employees. I will be taking my business elsewhere and will not be considering this dealership when upgrading in the next year or so.

We depend on Capital Ford to service our work truc...

We depend on Capital Ford to service our work truck (which we purchased from them (A+ on that)) , they do a good job; are courteous, efficient and have coffee... The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is they lack the capacity to get you in and out quickly with an oil change. They are usually busy and we normally have to plan on an hour or two. They almost need a two story garage to service all the customers. I wish they had a few extra bays to get more people through without the wait. My only suggestion is to go early and plan to wait a little bit.

well where shall I start bought my truck in middle of February of this year 2018 F150 Sport with a 3.5 EcoBoost the first week I had it the transmission was shifting rough took it in to have it looked at they reprogram the transmission was good for a week took it back and told them there was still a problem clunking they told me that was normal the problem got worse took it back again to Capital Ford service took the assistant service manager for a ride showed him what the problem was they said that was normal called Ford customer service told me to take it to another dealer and have a second opinion call back to Capital Ford they said they drove several trucks and it was normal Jeff said there was nothing they could do about it did they really try how much time did he spend behind the wheel of my truck test driving it took it to Crossroads Ford Service Road with a technician he saw what it was doing they troubleshooted it the technician told me I had a bad torque converter they're replacing my transmission but I will say it's been there for 5 weeks Ford is slow to react the torque converter was destroying the transmission these new F-150s have bad torque converters metal all in the transmission if your vehicle transmission is clunking and bumping and hard downshifting that's the sign of a bad torque converter Ford must have got a bad batch of them don't let them tell you it's normal it's not not for $50,000 pickup Crossroads Ford is trying to fix it and I hope this new transmission fixes it got 5,600 miles on the truck got a good deal on the truck from the sales department at Capitol Ford will say that but the service department is lacking in their interest to repair your vehicle it's all normal after this I've got a warped Dash to deal with they can't say that's normal TSB 19-20 41 Ford has known about this issue for 4 years

Update on my situation with my F-150 I was contacted by the Capital Ford operations manager Ronnie Lumley who informed me that he will personally take care of my issue with my warp Dash and ensuring me that it will be repaired correctly and will do whatever it takes to make my F-150 right he seems to be a very sincere person and I believe he will do what he says I got my truck back from Crossroads Ford and that transmission issue seems to be resolved so far I will be taking my truck back to Capital Ford for the dash issue Ronnie has contacted me numerous times to check on this status of my truck I feel like he will do whatever it takes to make it right

Another update on my 2018 F150 Ronnie Lumley is a man of his word I was delivered an F-150 loner and my truck was picked up at my job they performed the dash repair and it was perfect can't tell it was changed except for my Dash is smooth now my truck was washed and filled with fuel they also installed a pedal Commander to assist in the delay of the fly-by-wire system installed on newer trucks at no charge this made a big difference in the performance of my F-150 and I'm very satisfied with it Ronnie also stayed in touch with me through the process my truck was delivered to me at my home by the shop foreman Eric who went over all the repairs and to make sure that I was satisfied with what was performed now that's what I call customer service doing whatever it takes to make the customer happy I will be returning to Capital Ford just wanted to say thank you

As always. Great service and they honor their commitment to provide top notch service. I purchased a new battery on Tuesday and it had a dead celI. I took the car back on the following Monday and it was replaced in minutes. Starts right up with it's usual purr. Thanks Capital Ford Service Dept.

I searched for my vehicle on the Internet and Capital Ford had one that closely matched what I was looking for in a used vehicle. Once I enquired, Mark Duffy immediately reached out to me and made an appointment for me to see the Explorer that I was interested in. Upon arrival the Explorer was parked out front and waiting for me . He never pressured me, was very courteous and personable.

From picking out the Explorer to driving off the lot, he took care of everything, even explaining each feature of the Explorer and ensuring I had it set up the way I wanted. It was one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had.

I would definitely recommend Mark and Capital Ford.

They charged way too much for routine car service ...

They charged way too much for routine car service (almost double than routine charges). I am keeping this thing in mind for next service though i am regular customer here.
In General, with the new cars now a days, an oil change (they do synthetic blend oil) would give almost 5k or more miles on regular drive. I have been changing synthetic oil for every 5k miles. Last oil change gave me just 3k miles. I mentioned this fact, they said nothing. I felt they were ignorant.
For routine service, i would stay away from dealerships and stick to local shops.
2 stars for prompt reception, free wifi, good service for car.

Tonight we purchased our second vehicle from Capital Ford. We did not expect to find what we wanted at a Ford dealer, as what we wanted was a Buick Encore. My wife found one that had all she wanted on it online at Capital Ford. The car is fully loaded and we showed them the Internet price and we're still able to work an even better deal. We had just come from a Buick Dealer that did not have what we wanted on the lot. We drove it, told them what we wanted to get it for and worked it out. My wife is now a Very happy lady!!! Happy wife , happy life and this went smoother than I would have expected. The next time we are in the market for a car no matter what it is we will go by Capital Ford first .

Capital Ford Body Shop/Carolina's Collision Center Capital Ford is not really a Ford shop. They don't even have the ability to run a basic Ford diagnostic test! Must go to service center for that. Had the vehicle for two weeks already. I would not recommend this body shop to anyone who owns a Ford. Tarnishes the Ford brand.

Richard worked to make sure we were getting the vehicle we were looking for; and he keep us informed every step of the way (from the time it was ordered until it was delivered). All the staff at Capital Ford were very courteous and eager to make sure we were satisfied with our entire experience.

My dad and I were purchasing my first car. We arrived during the afternoon at Capital Ford hoping they would have a Honda Civic Sedan, they only had coupes. I then asked Rubben Pierce if I could look at the Ford Focus. I took it home and loved the car, unfortunately myr mother wanted to keep looking. We then arrived later that night to return the Ford Focus I test drove and as we got there to give Rubben the bad news, the man at the front desk asked if we had seen the 2006 Honda Civic EX they had just gotten. We looked at it and Rubben said I could take it over night, test drive it, and ask my mom. My mother ended up loving it and the next day we purchased the Civic. Capital Ford had also detailed the car, put on new tires, and filled the tank. I was very pleased with Rubben and his generous help, work, and proffesion. I suggest going to Capital Ford and purchasing your car from there and requesting Rubben Pierce.. what a man!

Do not, under any circumstance, bring your car here for service. I brought my car in because the backup camera stopped working. I was charged $190 so they could run "diagnostics" on the backup camera, which showed them that yes in fact the camera did not work. I don't what "diagnostics" are, but putting the car in reverse would have been sufficient to confirm I wasn't lying about why I brought my car in. Oh, and they were unable to tell me why the camera stopped working, just that it had to be replaced. So what the hell did the diagnostics do? Upon checking out, they tried to charge me $40 in tax on a $190 sale. Unless the tax rate in North Carolina mysteriously jumped to 20% (it didn't), then this company is just trying to commit fraud.

We knew what we wanted... couldn t find it locally, so we kept looking by expanding our search area and finially found a possible vehicle at Capital Ford.
We quickly received a call from Mark Duffy. After speaking with Mark, we drove over 3 hours to see the truck. Since it was a used vehicle, there were some issues we wanted to have addressed. Mark excelled at addressing our concerns.
Did we negotiate, yes. Did we come to an agreement, yes. Did we leave with a great impression of Capital Ford and Mark Duffy, absolutely!!!
We love our new used F250 and highly recommend contacting Mark for all your new/used vehicle needs.

This is my 5th vehicle from Capital Ford and just as expected, I am completely satisfied. I always get the best service from Capital Ford; from the beginning of the process to the end. Their service is personable, non-pressured and friendly. I'm proud to be a part of the FORD FAMILY and equally impressed with the quality of their products.

If we all agree that vehicles need to be maintained and items on a vehicle wear out. This is an irritating fact of owning a car but not the fault of the repair shop. The best thing you can ask for from a shop is to be treated honestly and with respect.
I have received that on a continual basis at Capital Ford since 2005.

Took my car into service through the Fast attack s...

Took my car into service through the Fast attack service for oil change and rotation. Completed in reasonable cost and time frame to do the work. However, as I left and started driving down Capital Blvd it quickly became apparent that they had not tightened the wheel nuts on one of the wheels. I was furious as obviously they should not have returned car to me in that state as it was dangerous and if anything had happened could have caused an accident if came off. Managed to get it back to them, luckily no damage done. The Service Manager was on top of it and they got it all done up and checked everything else. Response that they will replace the back brake pads FOC as compensation was I thought a little short, and should have been all the brake pads or returned the cost of the service. Not happy, but at least no one killed. This is second time I have had significant issue with them though they have always resolved it satisfactorily, but it should not be happening in the first place.

I have been to Captial Ford for other services, and have never left disappointed or any issue not resolved. However, DO NOT SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT ONLINE! I had visited their website, clicked on Service, Schedule Service Appointment, and followed the steps. I specifically chose "Repairs" and chose Steering Performance Concern, wrote out my description and scheduled my appointment. NO where does it give you an option to chose "Quick Lane" or "Service center". Thankfully, I called the morning of just to double check on the location, to only find out that I was not scheduled at the "service" location, and that they were booked today. That Quick Lane only did maintenance work. That is fine, I completely understand that! But again, how was one supposed to know when there was no option to choose a specific location. By choosing "Repairs" tab and then typing out my description, one would assume that I would be scheduled at the correct location for my service. Why would it allow me to schedule a particular service, if it isn't even offered. I was put on a hold for someone to allegedly check for any openings. The first available was Thursday. There was no apology, only an "unfortunately, the service department is booked today". I called Crossroads Ford and they told me to come as a "walk-in", because anything related to steering or brakes is a serious concern. I appreciated this immensely, for I did not feel safe driving (as I had typed in my initial request description..guess they don't look at that). Again, don't use the online scheduling system. It can cause much inconvenience. Also, I left a voicemail two days ago during open weekend hours asking about transportation options while my car was there so that I could make arrangements...still waiting for a return call.

Ford Connect Van 2014 purchased at capital ford 3...

Ford Connect Van 2014 purchased at capital ford 38,000 mile ,falling apart , to many problems to write on one page , most recent Air Con. gone out , warranty up after 36,000 Miles , service Dept will even call you back . $1100.00 repair would rather give my money to Local repair shop if you drop your car at Capital Ford you may never see it again , last time they repaired brakes they forget to put pads in . Most recently , replaced 2 windscreens at my expense all cracking in the same place and it is cracked again same place , also replaced Brake lights Front Head Lights radio again all at my expense mainly because they never have an opening that suits my time line of when Truck is not in use and they give a service date of 1-2 weeks out ( no lights for a week )
After posting this review Eric was kind enough to call me from Capital Ford , ( I guess you have to write a review to get them to call you back ) , anyway Eric was very nice , said he could see what he could do about getting the latest issue repaired ( Air- Con ) under warranty which is a long shot , however will not await his call and again going to get Truck repaired at local shop who can repair on my Time line not theirs and would rather give the repair charge to them .

If I had written this review two or three years ag...

If I had written this review two or three years ago, I would have given two stars, as we had repeated bad experiences (I'm talking about the Service department; I've never dealt with Sales). However, my local options are limited so instead of driving to Wilson where I bought my F150, we decided to gamble on Capital Ford again. Either we were lucky, or they have worked to improve their customer service. The service rep who dealt directly with us was actually quite helpful. The only negative was that he was directed by management to "offer a discount" to us for something we had already discussed and rejected (because we could get it done for less elsewhere, even after the discount), but once we said "no" a second time, everything proceeded well. I would like to reiterate that the individual we dealt with directly was quite attentive and courteous - which was a major lack when we dealt with them a few years ago.
