Had a oil change and tire rotation. Was quoted a price which I was told included balancing the tires. Drove home and felt like my truck was in turbulence like I m on a airplane. Took it back and was told that is a separate cost. I have never had my tires rotated and not balanced. If that was a separate cost I should of been told. No way I would rotate my tires and not balance them. Needless to say had to take it to another mechanic. Totally unacceptable. At minimum customers should be told about a separate cost. I will find another Ford dealer for my service. Integrity is everything. P

Doug Creech was fantastic although the dealership should consider working on the initial experience as you walk in. We were passed around to about 4 people who made us feel they didn't want to take time out of their day to help us. Doug came in and turned the situation around and shared incredible enthusiasm for the brand and his company. We appreciated his honesty, excitement, and his down-to-earth sales approach. Thanks Doug for turning what started out as a poor experience to one where we will be going to you for any of our Ford needs!

Amazing place. When I went back in 2014, we were helped extremely well. We took home a 2014 Ford Fusion on a test ride home, brought it back the next morning. As sad as it was we didn't get the Fusion, this is an extremely nice place to get cars.

Staff is rude, my air conditioner in my car went out, paid $450.00 to get it fixed, it went out 10 months later, while still under warranty, they refused to fixed it saying it was a different part of the air conditioner, and it would be another $450.00, they were rude and I feel they tried to take advantage of a woman who didn't know anything about cars.

The sales representative was thorough, patient, and understanding of my needs as a customer. This was going to be my first time buying a vehicle in my life after graduating college, so I brought along my Dad (who is familiar with the financial jargon) and my uncle (who is a Ford mechanic). I went ahead and started my new insurance policy as well and all that was left to do was meet with the financial adviser to seal the deal. I was allowed to bring my dad and uncle with me. As soon as I walked through the doors, Jon Smith (the financial adviser), was smacking on his gum and immediately bombarded us with the Extended Warranty Options. We had all agreed prior to visiting Capital Ford that a warranty option was unnecessary. We were COMPLETELY AWARE of my OWN needs and have done much research to realize what is best for MY needs. No questions asked. Jon Smith continued to be pushy, arrogant, and aggressive with shoving these extended warranty plans down our throats. We simply did not want them and he said things like, "That's terrible", "You're making a ridiculous choice". He even raised his voice towards my dad (who was obviously flustered from this entire situation) saying things like "WHOA! Are you buying this car? You can't say anything about this deal." and mocked my uncle telling him, "Are you buying this car? Why are you even here? What makes you think you can fix Ford cars?". Yes, I was the one buying this vehicle and I also wanted my dad and uncle to be there with me when I made my decision. THAT IS MY CHOICE. Not only did I feel as though my needs and concerns were not heard, but my family was verbally harassed. Jon Smith continued his aggressive behavior until I finally stood up and left his office because I felt utterly uncomfortable and unsafe being around someone so aggressive. We did not purchase the vehicle because of the traumatizing experience EVERYONE felt that day thanks to Jon Smith.

One of the worst Ford dealerships I have ever work...

One of the worst Ford dealerships I have ever worked with. Had my car towed to this location and was told the cars towed in have first priority. Not one person has tried calling me or returning phone calls concerning the car and it has been over a week. Now they re saying they won t even look at the car for another week, making the total amount of time my car has been there for over two weeks without anyone looking at it. The only communication I have received was a text message. I understand if the shop is busy; however, communicate that with me and keep me in the loop. Not with a text message.

He was extremely knowledgeable of his products, very responsive, respectful of a business persons time and not a pushy salesman. Probably the easiest transaction I ve ever made. I had been to several dealerships before going to Capital Ford. The other places either "didn't have anything" or wouldn't budge and work with me to get to a reasonable price range. Capital Ford was willing to work with me to get me the best deal possible. Don was amazing and truly helpful. I LOVE MY NEW Ecosport!!! They remind me of Jerrett Scott Ford in Plant City Florida (my old hometown Ford dealer). I will be going back to buy in the future. Thank you capital ford...my new hometown dealership!

Honestly, I expected better service from Ford today. 1st I tried to reach someone via chat since they do offer this service. Initially no response. ..only from the automatic computer messages were sent. So It led me to call which I did not want to do. A young lady I believe her name was Renita kept me on hold for long time so I hung up. They call me back, which I did not give them my number nor mentioned it was ok to call me. Although, the call wasnt necessarily the kicker.

So I tried to give them one more shot, I went online again and now the initial conversation from a gentleman by the name of Terry Sharpe states basically he doesn't just sits at the desk all day which he has other clients right now to assist. So I reminded him that there are other companies who basically hire online reps to only deal with their online department. Now, in my head I'm thinking so how would I know what he has going on over there. This is basic customer service...when you lack that businesses lose out on opportunities.

Btw, I am the type person that only looks for a car when I'm ready to buy. They ruined that chance today. Customer service is HUGEEEE to me. This behavior was unexceptable!!

I had the BEST experience at Capital Ford Preowed sales today working with Alex Theis! Alex first of all listened to all of what my Daughter wanted in her new car and we went from there. We were trading here BMW. He gave her top dollar and found the perfect car for her! Alex has been selling my family our cars for 15 years and I totally trust him with all my heart and soul. Also, he listens to what his customers want and does not try to oversell. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great used car, go see Alex Theis at Capital Ford Preowned Capital Blvd. Raleigh, NC. They trick you,
At first I though they where great because they treat you nice with respect
But just be careful when you sing the papers
And the warranty they offer you sound great
But when you try to claim it
They would denied everything the warranty say.
So if you want a ford go somewhere else.

I love my ford focus, but the service department is a complete joke. I brought my car in on Wednesday, mind you it was a scheduled appointment, for a simple fix. I will not get my car back until Monday due to the errors of the mechanic and having to wait for the same part that he keeps messing up when trying to put my car back together.

Background: This review is ONLY concerning the new car buying experience. I bought a 2017 Explorer 4x4 V6 as a replacement for a 2001 Nissan Xterra. I've never previously had any business with Capital Ford.

Shopping/Pricing:
After shopping around online for many Explorers, we found a few that were listed in various places across the Southeast. We were given a generous offer from a dealership six hours away, and contacted Capital Ford to see if they would match/beat. Within five minutes of submitting my inquiry, I received a phone call from Charles Jones "CJ". CJ remained our salesman for the remainder of the experience. Their website was fast, easy to use, and accurately reflected the vehicles in their inventory. They include a sticker viewing function that allows you to view the vehicle's sticker (to include VIN) online. The shopping experience was easy and it was easy to reach sales representatives with any questions. Capital Ford demonstrated that they are willing to negotiate very fair prices in order to earn your business.

Personnel/Salespersons:
Our salesman, CJ, was a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. He was prompt to respond to phone calls and texts. CJ was well-dressed, groomed, and had always had a smile on his face. He had a thorough knowledge base of Ford vehicles and was able to patiently walk us through all of the features in our vehicle, step-by-step. CJ was prompt in ensuring our needs were taken care of, despite having to wait a while for a few things (largely due to the high volume of customers at the time and through no fault of his own.) CJ is a genuine and honest salesman. After pointing out a few clerical errors with the pricing of the vehicle, he was quick to apologize and rectify the situation. At no point did I feel that CJ was trying to deceive me in order to get a 'better sale.' Brian, the finance manager, was also a pleasure to work with. He was affable, well-spoken, and easy to work with. He was quick to help CJ correct a few financial clerical errors and also worked to give us every rebate from Ford possible. He quickly, but efficiently, walked us through the terms of our financing and the legalities of our purchase. Neither CJ nor Brian tried to push us to buy anything else after we had already said "no."

Facilities/Atmosphere:

The building and lot had clearly been around for a while. Despite the age and dated architecture, Capital Ford does their best to present a clean and welcoming show room. The restrooms were clean and well-stocked. They had free coffee readily available. We came on a Friday evening and they were very busy so there were people everywhere. Most dealerships have little booths or cubicles in which to conduct your business. Capital mainly had plastic chairs and tables arrayed in the showroom in a high school lunchroom fashion. The combination of the high volume of people and interior layout created a somewhat zoo-like environment. The managers sat in a large elevated platform desk in the center of the showroom which gave a combination of the "watchful big-brother" and the "courtroom-judge" feel. Despite these small drawbacks, I came to buy a vehicle-- I did not come to feel pampered with luxurious superficial distractions. This area would be the only area where I give three stars and recommend improvements.

Closing Opinions:

Great experience overall. If you're looking for a new vehicle and want to deal with honest, hard-working people, then go to Capital Ford in Raleigh. It seems like a lot of the people who leave negative reviews are largely ignorant when it comes to buying a new car. With the internet at your fingertips, you have no excuses not to be a well-informed consumer. One also needs to take in mind that car salespeople are just that: SALESpeople. Of course you may be asked to buy extra things you may or may not need. It's how they make their living. Don't act like a victim due to your willful ignorance. Car buying is a two way street and nobody is coercing anybody to say "yes."

CJ did a great job helping me find the car with all the features I was looking for. He was full of knowledge on all the cars and the options for each. I am giving CJ's name to everyone I know that is looking for a car because I know he will make finding a car that meet their needs his top priority. With CJ as a member of the Capital Ford sales team, I am sure they will sale over a thousand cars each month. CJ is a great asset to Ford.

I was looking for a new or slightly used truck and couldn't have been happier with the excellent service I got from U.G. Nnochiri at Capital Ford. U.G. listened to what I was looking for, how I would be using it and then did a search to find the perfect fit for my needs. Instead of trying to sell up, or talk me into something I didn't want, he really listened. I appreciated this so much! U.G. was able to find just what I was looking for on the other lot. The sales and paperwork were efficiently handled and I am so pleased with my new 2020 Ford Ranger. Thank you, U.G.!

I would deter those looking to buy from this facility. I showed interest online for a vehicle. Online it specifically asks how you'd prefer to be contacted. The first message I got again asked how I preferred to be contacted and I let them know. The agent then ignored my requests for preferred contact by e-mail and proceeded to text and call me several times before finally trying to e-mail me. He stated he e-mailed me the price breakdown for the vehicle I requested except nothing was attached to the 2 e-mails he sent, and I had requested information about two separate cars. I asked him to send it again. He then sent the wrong break down(per his statement) on only one of the cars, and then sent the same thing again without ever answering my questions or giving information about the second car. When I asked him about the price breakdown and pointed out that I was a little concerned that it seemed my initial message wasn't responded to I got radio silence. I tried to follow up, but at this time I've received nothing. It seems their internet communications team needs to work on their communication with customers. If you're looking for an amazing dealership check out Crossroads Ford in Wake Forest because they have been really kind and patient with their process.

Quite simply the best and easiest car purchase I have ever made. Ben Stem gave me tons of options and advice over the phone. He knows the stuff he sells very well and he also knows what a fair price is.

I had test driven locally, but having dealt with Capital Ford in the past, I had to reach out before pulling the trigger. I am so glad that I did, I got a great price and they delivered the truck right to my door. (I currently live ~200 miles from this dealership!)

If you are looking for a new or used vehicle, I would start here.

I had an appointment for recall work, and the service department took my car right in. They expertly repaired three issues and gave me some key advice on an unrelated problem. With that info, I was able to work with my usual mechanic to finally fix a problem that has been plaguing us for weeks. Kudos to the service team at Capital Ford.

I scheduled service 6 days ago for a 1:30 appointment. I simple replacement of brake pads. Not anything a master tech would need to work on. My car was not put up on the rack until 3:30. A 2 hour wait for them just to get started, not finish the work. I was told something about the online scheduling system not being in sync with the call in system, though I did receive a confirmation email and a confirmation text for my 1:30 appointment. When you have an appointment for 1:30 you would expect them to get started by 2 at the latest. If I just rolled in for a repair, sure you have to wait, not wait 2 hours after your appointment made days in advance. Nothing was done to fix the problem or try to make up for the inconvenience. Horrible.

Capital Ford has a great Service Dept. and always provide me top notch service. From topping off my fluids and insuring my tires' air pressure are up to par to letting me know the health of the car's various systems. The staff is always cheerful and helpful, the waiting room is stocked with snacks, coffee and water and the rest rooms are always clean. I give Capital Ford FIVE STARS in customer satisfaction!

I can't believe I'm actually posting that I had a stellar experience at a car dealership but here I am. I stopped by the quick lane on a saturday to have my nitrogen tires topped off. I was absolutely expecting a long wait (it was a saturday after all and they looked very busy) but not only were they able and willing to fill up my tires with N2, service was incredibly fast and friendly.

In 2/12 we purchased our 2012 Ford Explorer new from Capital Ford. We elected to have my all my service work including tires handled there. After all these years I just suffered poor customer service. I replaced the tires on my Explorer with the same ones that came on it, after having great mileage with the original ones. Upon having routine service and being told my tires were 1/2 gone (turns out my replaced road hazard tire was 1/2 the and 3 others worse). With long trip in the future it was time to ask and replace. Well I asked about discount on tires, warranty, why tires didn't last. After researching the Hankook tires on line there was a warranty. Several calls to Capital Ford Service, lengthy email to the CSR explaining the issue, only offered me several unsatisfying calls from multiple associates. Guess all Capital Ford will get from me is my free tire rotation. I will take my service work to another FORD dealership. This was my 3 vehicle purchased from them also. I can always take my business elsewhere.

I shopped around and decided which car I wanted. I knew exactly what specs I wanted and planned to order the car. I also wanted to communicate with e-mail. I contacted numerous dealerships on the web. Some never responded. Of the ones that did respond, most tried to force the sale of a car that was already on the lot but didn't meet all of my specifications. Doug listened to what I wanted and sent me a quote for exactly the car I requested. I went back and forth between Capital and another dealership but, in addition to giving me fantastic service Capital also gave me the best price. When I picked up the car everyone at the dealership was very nice and the sales manager Mike even came out to shake my hand and talk to my family and me. Thanks Capital Ford for a great buying experience!

They had several vehicles with the specs I was looking for, but Mark Duffy helped narrow down and find a great looking truck. He was very knowledgeable about all the different trims and packages, and I ended getting a truck that had more options than the original I went to check out. I would definitely recommend Mark if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle.
