It is incredible only two people checking in the guests, it lasted an average of two hours in line waiting for them to wait for me, out of 10 position only 2 open is an abuse on the part of the resort, it is terrible I would not return more if they continue like this with this attitude.

Horribly organized - never pay for tickets by phone! The resort took our payment by phone, but when we arrived they decided to make us spend 30 minutes waiting in line anyway to get the "physical ticket." Allowing people to pre-buy tickets is just a scam to ensure they have your money regardless of weather.
The atrocious organization made us miss our next event, which we scheduled for an hour after.
Do not go on a weekend. With Covid, they have 50-60% of lift capacity... understood. However, they do NOT limit their ticket sales accordingly. This means that you'll wait in lines more than actual riding the trails. Also, pathetic that you have to pay for parking.
Overall, the mountain is nice for the area with longer runs. Disgusted that we paid full price and didnt get appropriate ski time in. Shame on management for putting their sales over customer experience.
Great Place to Ski. Even though on the weekend lot of ppl show up, this resort has plenty of slopes to ski. The food is not great, beers are not too expensive.
I love it here I went here for my birthday last year and it's so fun the water felt good and my hotel room was so COOL!! But we couldn't eat the food from downstairs so we went to Burger King but it doesn't matter I still give this a 5/5 and I know when I was nine I almost got hurt on a water slide ride in the hotel resorts and I was ok it was still fun I mean like who cares but I love it here it's so nice u should take ur family and children there it gave me my 9 year old memories and I went this year when I was nine it was just sooooooo fun keep it up camel back
They created a Groupon deal and apparently oversold to the point where they were unable to accommodate a # of patrons. Some families attempted to do snow tubing 3 days in a row Our family went 2 days in a row only to be told they were booked to capacity. They offered no other options or apology. Instead we drove 2 more hours to give our children snow tubing at Mountaincreek in New Jersey as we had to fly back home
Went here on Feb 21st. Paid $30 for limited snow tubing from 2pm-5pm (weekend-Holiday). It was fun, just as expected. I really enjoyed the scenery and being in the middle of the woods, compared to being in chaotic NYC. It's a great place to get away from the city and be in touch w your inner kid. My family had a good time. The only draw back is that the waiting area is just a small cabin, jam packed w so much people you can't even move around. They definitely need to build a much bigger waiting section, we were there with a 4 month old in a stroller. And there was a sign that said. No strollers inside. Really? So do they expect mothers and their babies to wait in the cold while the rest of the family is having fun? I spoke to some parents and they were upset about that. As far as snow tubing is concern , I was there on a busy day, but experienced no delayed. I think what really makes everything slow down is not the waiting time for tube or anything. but once you get to the top, waiting for your chance to slide down can take minutes, because you have to wait for the previous riders to clear out of the way at the bottom of the hill so you can go. And that can take 5 minutes at times. That's not counting looking for a tube/climbing up the hill / and making the line for your turn... All in all. A good experience, will definitely go back.
Super busy. No limit on lift tickets sold so super crowded. Lines very long for everything and limited spots for everything from parking to lockers. Prepare on any holiday to spend a lot for parking (30-40$), lockers (10-20$), and more. On top of that, the wait on the lifts now that only family goes together means super long waits. 90% of time waiting on lifts, the rest a mix of ticket line, and skiing down the green/orange areas. Not worth it. Go on an off peak day or go with an instructor to skip the lines at the lifts.
Small local mountain for families with a few runs. Nice and friendly for beginners but lines are way too long on the weekends - for everything from renting equipment to getting on lifts. They have a website where you are supposed to be able to order equipment, tickets and etc ahead. We tried for 3 days to use it and it never worked - very frustrating. If it did it would have saved a lot of wait time. With small children that is to be desired. We tried to call (and tell of web problems) but only got a leave a message answer phone and no one ever called us back.
Mostly man-made snow but their machines are good so that was ok. Only one real cafeteria but was pretty large and so ok. I would recommend doing any renting of equipment somewhere else and just getting your lift tickets and/or lessons there.
Came here with my family on a weekday after 3. There were little to no lines for rides because we had just missed the camp groups, the price is lowered by about a third after 3 pm also, which is convenient. The wave pool was amazing and so were the water slides!
It's about 2 hour from NYC, that's why we coming here for a snowboarding days. Not many trails. Big parking. You can stay here for a night. Nice view from the top. A lot of activities are offered. Its crowded, especially on weekends! Definitely we will come back, there is also a big indoor and outdoor summer waterpark!
I just want to say thank you to a Ranger lady named Yvonne. She guided us when I didn't know how to get on/off the lift since it was the first time for my son and me riding on the real lift. I had some trouble getting down the slope too and she found me again and really helped me a lot. We go skiing every year and we will definately come to this place again since most staffs are really friendly and they have a nice waterpark too. I decided to write a review this time because of Yvonne who refused to take any gratitude from me and said it was just her job. Thank you Yvonne!
Lift tickets = arm Rentals = leg Parking = your other arm.
Pricing is now OUTRAGEOUS. Lift wait times are 20+min Food is overpriced
To go there and pay 3 times as much as it used to be a year ago. Waiting 20 + minutes to get on the lift. This new company is here to make a quick buck and drive a nice reasonably priced mountain into the ground.
So many people complaining about the parking, after paying for overpriced tickets your now paying to park your car. Come on this isnt new york city. Definitely going to other mountains.
This park is amazing it has a indoor water park and an arcade, oh but wait you want to ski NO YOU MUST WAIT AN HOUR TO GO SKIING SLOPES OPEN FROM 9 TO 9 MORE LIKE 10 TO 9 BECAUSE YOU CAN GET ON THE SHUTTLE TILL 9:45
All slopes are surprisingly well maintained. Not that much ice as everyone is talking about. Great park and lifts. The only reason for 4 stars is the rental. My snowboard just refused to accelerate and boots smelled awful...
I took my 5yr old son to see the snow for the first time last weekend. We went snow tubing last Thursday and it was awesome. We didn't have to wait in a line we were there all day because my son didn't want to leave. We left when it closed at 8pm. The staff were great and helpful. The laser lights at night was nice. On Friday I tried to book private lesson for my son for skiing but it wasn't available. If you want to do private lessons book it at least a day in advance. So i had no choice to go on Saturday, not knowing what to expect since is the weekend i thought there was going to be a lot of ppl (local and tourist) but NO! There was a lot of people but the place is so big it wasn't over pack....we didnt have to make a long line to go up the lift....there is a few places for beginners which is nice because you can go your own pace. I did private lessons for my son with ERIC and he was great! My son is challenging and difficult at times and Eric did a great job working with my son. My son had a blast!!!! Thank you Eric!
Plenty of trails for all levels of experience. Lots of instructors for ski and snowboarding school. Can be a bit crowded waiting in line for tickets and at food concession area.
Mainly came for snowtubing but friends went to the spa. While waiting for them indulged in the various activities available in the resort. First the ropes course- DEFINITELY do and at $9-a steal! If you're feeling daring try the 3rd level- adrenaline rush!
Second- the downstairs arcade is like a mini- Dave&Buster with tickets, prizes the whole shebang. There's also bowling for under $10 and there's a Concessions stand too with pre-made sandwiches, wraps and fruit cups along with the traditional food too.
They also always have something going on in the lobby- generally geared towards kids but they had samples of chocolate covered Oreos, hula hoop dance offs with the Cambelback mascots and there was a Balloon guy too- I wanted a butterfly but I left it to the under 18 year-olds.
The shuttle buses were a bit tricky because they all say Cambelback but some are for skiing and snowboarding while others are for snowtubing and other lodging. We were fortunate to get on a bus whee the driver dropped us off at snowtubing. As soon as we got off the shuttle bus Alissa greeted us and asked us what we need to do, escorted us through the tunnel ( that's the entrance you need to look for ) and made sure we got our blue "golden tickets" to ensure we were able to purchase our tickets for the next time slot. Snowtubing is a 3-hour event; once you purchase your ticket you are given a ticket that has your end time on it. Once our time started it was on- we did single tubes, double tubes, chain tubes "( more than 3 but less than 7) . It was great the lines were long but wait times were 5-10 minutes.
Bonus: Once the sun sets the lights come on and it adds more to the experience. "I'd suggest going at 3pm or 4pm during the winter so you experience both day and night.
Caution: There's a conveyor ramp that takes you and your tube up the hill so be mindful of your step and lean forward.
They have a Concessions stand with hot chocolate and waffles, bathrooms inside the 2 level lounge, as well as outside seating with a fire pit.
Tip: If you are staying at the hotel you can purchase your snowtubing ticket, and other activities, downstairs where the arcade is. Downside- if you are not, you can't purchase which is what happened to us. That's why I gave a 4-star. We were already there ready to pay and my friends had used the Spa- at the very least they should've been able to purchase their tickets but I digress. It was really inconvenient because we had filled out the waiver slips online ( use the iPads) and waiting 20 minutes in line just to be told we had to buy tickets another place and fill out another waiver form.
All it all: Go visit Camelback and take advantage of all it has to offer. It's scenic and beautiful too. Good for any group: couples, girl's/boy's, family and large group trip.
Had An AMAZING experience here today. My best froend and I decided to take snowboarding lessons, (her 2nd time snowboarding and Ive been quite a few times but couldnt for 2 years and forgot everything.). The group lesson instructors were extremely helpful. We had a noon lesson and there were 4 people in our group, and we had 3 instructors working with us which meant we all got a lot of personalized attention. Brian, Maddy, and Jake were excellent instructors and deserve a raise big time! Will definitelt be back and am seriously consodering coming for provate lessons to really start to hone in on my skills! Thank you!
We stayed Weds-Fri last week and it didn t live up to what I hoped it would. The hotel was advertised as ski in ski out, due to the roof collapsing their ski valet was closed, it s a 500m walk from the main entrance to the ski lift. We did not receive an email letting us know this was the case. Room was great, waterpark was great (one thing to note is most people including staff do not wear masks in the waterpark, so if you are high risk for Covid do not go in).
Last thing to note is DO NOT book this hotel on a 3rd party website, if you do not book directly with them the staff will be rude to you and answer any question you have with Because you booked on expedia
All said we will likely stay there again and book directly with them for the full welcoming experience next season
This place was great! Polite and friendly staff unlike some of the other resorts we've tried in the past like big boulder and Jack Frost where everyone that worked there was miserable.
Camelback ski resort seems to be okay, but their online customer service is worst. I purchased lift tickets for three days from online ( promotion $129 for 3 days) and it was paid out of my bank account. Even I have a reference number, but one of online customer service representatives said my online transaction was incompleted. I was mad and asked her how Camelback debited it out of my account, she left while I was chatting. She said I should call bank. Worst of online purchase.
I've been coming here for over 30 years and every time I returned the past 3 or 4 times I felt more and more overcharged and under serviced. This past Sunday was the last straw. They refused to honor a voucher citing a stipulation that was in no way printed on the ticket, even in the fine print on the back, AND not even in the email communication I had with their reservation department. All this was after I tried to call the number on the voucher over and over again prior to my arrival to confirm 1) it would be honored and 2) if there were any special Covid protocol I should follow. They had me cornered at the window and I ended up paying for a service that should be complimentary. I've given that resort enough of my money over the years, never again. Don't waste your money there, other options are nearby for skiing and waterparks.
It was clean and not too crowded. The arcade was fun and slightly pricey but not too bad. My kids loved it. However, the waitress in the Hemispheres buffet decided to tip herself. She added an addition $15 to her tip above the 15% we paid her. Our party was not large enough to add automatic tip. I tried to contact Camelback and it was a 45 minute run around with the operator, front desk, and the restaurant itself. Horrible business practice. WILL NOT BE BACK
