This huge conglomerate was not able to issue me a small refund for a package of snow tubing one of my kids got sick and they cannot offer a voucher for a next trip or even a refund we are just out the $40 because of a policy that makes no sense or accounts for every day life situations will never ever go to this resort or recommended to any of my friends and family terrible customer service terrible waste of time

Extremely Disappointed. Resort hotel is nice, clean and rooms are spacious. The staff are also very nice. Hotel allows guests to check in before the actual 4pm check-in time. Skiing and water park are also a lot of fun for kids. But, overall this place is the epitome of inefficiency. My kids (12, 11 and 9) will only remember the long lines for everything and the things we couldn t do... Here are a few take always:
1. Line at check in seems to always be at least 30 minutes. I waited 45 minutes to check in. They don t have nearly enough agents to meet the volume of guests.
2. I enrolled three kids in a 9am group ski lesson, booked online. Website and online confirmation insisted that skiers arrive 90 minutes before scheduled lesson. So we were extremely disappointed when we arrived at 7:30am only to find that NOTHING OPENS BEFORE 8:30. Nothing like standing out in 12 degree weather for an hour. Nobody working at the resort seemed to understand the disparity between their actual hours and the times listed on the website.
3. The website says that providing height, weight and show size for ski rentals will allow them to have the equipment ready when you arrive. This is completely false. There is no process there to reserve equipment. Everyone has to stand in line to get their lift tickets; then go to rental equipment line to get their skis and boots. Then - if you want a helmet - you have to go to a different line to order one, then back to the ski equipment line to pick it up. Again - everyone is nice and polite - but nobody seems to know that the website is completely out of sync with the reality.
4. I booked a room package that provided free tubing . It should have said, Free tubing, only if it isn t already sold out. Once you re at the resort - if you want to book Tubing or other activities - you get to wait in another, very long line for this. I tried calling first (for tubing tickets) and was told I had to wait in line. Then, after waiting in the line for an hour, was told that tubing was sold out. But, while waiting in that line, guests also have to use one of the tablets provided to electronically complete a Liability Waiver form. (More than half of the tablets were broken - which just makes yet another line).

My kids had a great time skiing and at the water park and arcade. But, would have liked to go tubing and not spent half of their time waiting in lines.

BTW - after being told that tubing was sold out, I asked to speak with the person in charge. The agent didn t know who to call.

I won t even mention how long I waited for the valet when we arrived, even though I was the only car in the Valet lane...

The facility is great, and could be a fun place - but I ll just remember the lines, lines, lines... (and I was not here on a weekend or holiday)

Restaurants are mediocre and understaffed, rooms are dark and outdated, and every aspect is overpriced. Do yourself a big favor and stay elsewhere. We didn't ski but I hear the skiing is good. Service, rooms, and value are far better at Mt Airy 5 miles up the steet.

It's a nice place, but i don't recommend going here when you come on a hot day there is like 5000 people and you can't go on slides and all the pools are packed and just expect to be walking around the whole time

TLDR; Avoid this place

TLDR; Avoid this place

There are so many terrible things I could write in this review, but I ll stick to the most egregious:

1/ This place is operating with close to 0 protocols for COVID-19. The mountain was crowded, lines (45 mins for a lift ride) were shoulder to shoulder with no social distancing, cooks at the taco truck were not wearing masks. No one was enforcing any COVID rules. We reported the mountain to the state after our visit.

2/ Mountain was overcrowded, making it dangerous to ski and just stand in line for a lift! Lift lines were out of control often lining up directly in-front of trail endings. A few ski patrol officers were trying to encourage people to snake lines away from the base of runs to no avail. I saw so many collisions with folks going downhill into a lift line. If you want to experience an action park type place on 2020, this is the place for you. Otherwise, avoid.

Went to Camelbeach for the day on a Wednesday. Was great a usual. A bit crowded with campers but once they left lines were short and manageable. Only problem was park closed at 7pm, when summer hours are suppose to be till 8pm.

It's a beautiful resort with lots of fun water rides. Food is extremely pricey but it's something that is expected when going to an amusement park. Other than the high prices it is full of fun rides and guaranteed to give you a great time for the money. Highly recommend!

I have stayed in the same room for 4 years. l am a business traveler with over 100 stays a year at hotel properties. This was one of my jems for me and my kids. Ski in and out.and local - not Marriott though. Last year it became challenging. This year it is unbearable. You are supposed to be able to use the property at 12:30. The line to check in was 40 minutes before I had a manager help me - told I had another 40 to go,but comeback later it will be easier.. You have to check in to use the term features of the property. I finally got our lift tickets and headed to the slopes. I was told.ch3ck.in would be easy when we got back. Yup, another 65 minutes standing in line and needing more manager support. Good news, check in is at 4.room wasn't ready until 5:15. Explain that.to a 9 year old. Over 100 minutes in line and room not ready. Don't ever stay hear. I was told house keeping was prepping our room at.noon and I walked by it at 4 and the door was cracked. House keeping was never thwrere.

Wish I could give no stars horrible experience. Room wasn t ready until seven at night. It was dirty. Very understaffed barely saw any housekeepers. Long waits everywhere you went. This place has gone downhill in the past year we used to love coming. Heard they have new ownership. Well they definitely ran this place into the ground.

Upon arrival everything went well staff was really nice and friendly. Our suite was nice and clean at least we thought so. As I was in the kitchen I looked over to the wall and there was a cockroach crawling on the wall into the cabinet as if it was comfortable in the suite. We called management they were some what helpful. Checking out was a problem staff was not helpful or friendly like when we first arrived it was as if they were eager to get us out. We called the front desk to ask for a cart to be sent up to help us bring our bags down. They said it would be sent right up we end up bringing our things down it was a total of 8 trips the elevators were really slow.

Check in was at 4 the line was so long it took an hour to check in to be told my room wasn t ready and I would receive a text it was 7pm I never received a text go to the front desk my room was ready go to the room it s filthy they would not let me Speak to a manager the next morning they change my room to a room where the lights didn t work still I can t speak to a manager for almost $600 a night this stay was the worst

My family enjoys it here during the winter and summer months. Lots to do for all of us and the staff has always been more than helpful. Most recently Zachary from the front desk went about and beyond his duty to provide our family with exceptional service so thank you !!! Not a friendly ski area for BEGINNERS.

Not a friendly ski area for BEGINNERS.
My reasons as follows:
1. Packed with people despite them limiting tickets.
2. The instructors and staff were friendly however came along this old pal who seemed like the manager. He was rude, unprofessional and gave multiple misinformation. Not a person to bump into if you are a beginner. And he does not wear Mask.
3. We felt the place was overly priced for beginners. We booked a $50 per person beginner lesson, then we had to buy $107 per person lift ticket though we are beginners and never used the lift. However we met many ppl entering the ski area without any tickets. We won t mind the price if we were told about this either in the website or thru the call.
4. The website had no clear information. If you are a beginner like me and go thru the website to book a beginner lesson and get the tickets, you will notice that you are given an option where it says beginner package and it s $129 for beginner lift, rental and lesson however when you proceed further it only gives u one option. After that it s all misleading.
5. The customer call was fast, No wait time. however they have little info about the ground.
6. Dating back to months when we spent our summer in the water park, we had no issue on tickets or anything else but it was this about ski where we had lot of issue.

So the better side:
1. The rental equipments were good in shape. Though u ll have to wait a while and it s understandable with this COVID situation.
2. Staffs were friendly
3. Restrooms were clean
4. So many ski options if you can do the mountain.
5. Lot of paid parking place.

Fantastic place for the whole family. I brought my kids here for their second time on skiis and they were able to ride most of the blues and all the green trails. Two high speed quads and several lifts, handles big crowds with ease.

Never been before had a great day conditions were excellent and the staff was very helpfull, from the shuttle bus drive who gave us directions where to go all the way through customer service and finally people working on the mountan helped to guide me and my friend to appropriate trails. would definitely return

Amy and Marie at the front desk were great. They both went out of their way to help us. The facilities and the room were also great. My only complaint is a general hatred for the influence of capitalism on family vacations. Video games at the arcade were about $2 each and the extras were also $$$. I know they need to make money but I would rather pay a set rate and use all the facilities when and however I want to.

Horrible experience. I waited a room for more than half hour after 4pm. I asked a employee about the room. She just walked away without answer. I don t have any this kind of experience any other resorts such as Kalahari or great wolf. I will not gonna come back.

This mountain s staff sadly ruins the resort. My friends and I drove up from Brooklyn during one of the biggest dumps in the Poconos for many years .... over 30 inches, and upon arriving at the resort only ONE lift was open. The excise, high wind. Ok a reasonable excuse. Well, we were patient and waited for the next day. Upon arrival only TWO lifts were open. Only 2 remained open from 9am until around 4pm, when they finally started opening the other lifts. This time, no wind. So what was their excuse? The crowds around the lifts were huge, when people were supposed to be social distancing. At times we waited for 15 minutes to get to a chair, and then 5min to get up the mountain .... so about 20min up for only 5min down. This during the BIGGEST DUMP IN YEARS. How do you F up like this? Management clearly doesn t care. To boot, these people groomed EVERY RUN. Why? Do they think patrons don t want to get into the powder after several feet come down? Only someone who might be truly out of their mind would think that skiers and snowboarders don t want to get into some powder when the opportunity presents itself. What a joke. The proper rating for this resort is 3 stars TOPS, if that. Do yourself a favor and drive further to Ell Mountain, Hunter in NY, or better yet go to Vermont ....

Camelback is my "go to" water park. The kids always have lots of fun. The wave pool is never ending fun as well. I would recommend getting one of those tents for shade. Available chairs under umbrellas are a hard find.

Lesson learned to never buy group tickets if you dont use right away.. unfortunately I had plans to go on the last day where the tickets were done but they were having scattered thunderstorms..so why bother going when we all know thunder and water dont mixed..called the customer service line not expecting a free ticket or refund but maybe just some empathy about my situation a coupon to the indoor waterpark would have meant the world to me but all that was stated by Heather was a very scripted there is really nothing you can do..tickets are not transferable or refundable..which is not what I asked for. Also use water slippers that you can always have on,my sons sandals where taken and of course I know the park is not responsible, just careless people. I did enjoy the time I spent for most parts, people skipping lines are never fun and food wasn't great. I went ziplining here before as well and got punched in the jaw by accident. I believe the worker thought I was smaller then he expected and decided to catch me to slow me down instead of the springs to catch lol. At least I survived and I know not intentional. I see from other reviews customer service part is not the best. Thanks Camelback for understanding! Especially Heather.

For what it is (East coast snow sports) and the proximity to NYC Camelback is pretty solid. From the amount of snow they blow to keep the trails operating to the diversity of guests you re going to have a fun time.

If you re done skiing and the kids aren t worn out yet, check out their incredible snow tubing park. This could be worth it especially on bad ski days.

Overall lots of fun and well run hill. I d recommend renting a house nearby vs staying in the hotel to save some money and have your own bedroom too!
