Normally Jingan Shangrila is always a 6 On 5. This time a couple of things happened. Forgot turn down service. Had someone on room service phone who did not speak or spoke little English.

Appreciated much to the amazing hospitality services arranged by Coco and Galeen of Horizon Lounge. They took proactive steps to let us stay in a wonderful room without much sunlight while having fantastic view. They both did a professional job with polite/ friendly attitude and guided us to dine in Shanghai. Sure to come back again.

There was a pool party on the 5th floor, we knew of the place through a wechat community. Young people, music and a bar outside. Was an amazing experience, we had also the opportunity to taste Italian beer since was a special offer for that day.

Your Hotel was very nice to stay, we had a wonderful time. Most of all your staff was the best of any hotel I ever stayed.
Christina Li and the downstairs Lobby should be be made a hero for all she did, without her we would not even have stayed at your hotel. With staff like her your hotel is a 10 star. There are so many others, up in the club, Cherry, Coco, Nancy and Robin. I wish I knew more names but the level of service they gave is more then all the stays I have ever have. Thank you from my heart your hotel (this location at least) is the best.

Room was very nice. The food was not that great. Hamburger from room service tasted weird and french fries had a bad taste. Breakfast did not have many choices. And, when I received my bill there were more fees and surcharges than I was expecting. Those should be clear upfront.

Wonderful accommodation experience here in Shanghai. It is great to stay here while attending the professional conference with busy schedule. The staff team is supportive to make this business trip easier for us. Definitely would consider to revisit this hotel again

Stayed in Shangri-La Jing An from Feb 1 to 3 as well as from Feb 8 to 9.

First of all my experience from Feb 1 to 3. The rooms are very pleasant, cozy, and luxurious. However, there was one incident that occurred on Feb 2. The card key lock had run out of my battery therefore I ran downstairs to the front desk to inform them. They sent someone up with me to confirm that the battery was gone.

The worst part of it is that since the battery lock was out I discovered that I could easily push the door open. Nothing was missing but who knows whom could have entered the room. This doesn't make me feel safe.

Second of all I had to wait 30 mins for the engineer to come to change the battery. I was late for my appointment. I received no apology and staff seem to brush it off like a normal routine day.

On my second stay on the date of Feb 8 I would like to mention that there was blood stains on my blanket covers which I called and notified front desk. Housekeeping was prompt and even provided me with a complimentary bottle of red wine which is nice. Nevertheless the experience was kinda gross.

Micky - Words cannot express how efficient and perfect she was in doing her job, her professionalism and in anticipation of everything that is going on around her. She needs to share and teach what comes natural to her. She genuinely likes people.

Frank (not sure of his name) - he was there at my meeting room, Osmanthus, at 5:45am with a jolly smile and aura about him. He was fast and responsive. He made a pleasant impact on me with the one hour interaction that morning before Micky took over.

Jing An Shangri-la is a very new hotel in Shanghai...

Jing An Shangri-la is a very new hotel in Shanghai relative to other 5 star luxury hotels out there. The airport transfer experience was smooth and having greeted by the customer relations personnel upon arrival with direct check in at our room was a nice touch. I was given a room at the top floor (59th) with very nice view of Shanghai. The room clean up service after the first night was great, with a personal note, telling us that they noticed we needed more shower gel from our first night's usage and added a few more just in case. This is service at its highest level where customers habits' were noticed at such detailed level and with a personal touch. That said, there was a slight decline in service on the subsequent days (esp 2nd last day before check out - the sanitary pat was not replaced and fruits platter was not replenished). A general comment on maintenance - there was signs of discolouration on the walls at the head of the bed and the towel hook is about to fall off. Kindly pay attention to this esp knowing that this hotel is relatively new. As for the swimming pool, it is good that swimming gears are provided for customers. However, the swimming cap given to us was slightly smelly. Do take note of that.

The garage guidance is poor, and the small steps at the entrance of the garage hotel are not suitable for luggage handling. As a five-star hotel, there is no welcome in the garage! Does not include parking fees, no instructions! During the epidemic, breakfast can be taken to the room, but the small and medium-sized coffee table in the ordinary room is pitiful!

Service from the main ground floor reception is bad. We spent almost 30 mins to checkin.
But the service from 55th floor, at executive reception is very good. Especially thanks to Coco Li on the 55th floor. Great service from her.

Jing'an district has good environment and good access, so you can spend comfortably.
The hospitality of the hotel staff is also improving.

I was surprised how that you charged expenses for me to print documents in your business centre. This is free in most hotels. Otherwise good. Good people but could recommend that the Concierge would have a typical one day tour recommendation for a new to Shanghai tourist better thought out.

I have stayed here many times. This is definitely not the best experiences. Actually it is one of the worst experiences.

Worst out of the worst is bell service for taxi. I tried twice, none of which works. Most ridiculously the bell service guy got the hotel address wrong so that the taxi driver went to wrong place. By the way, he is using taxi apps (DiDi?).

On the other hand, there are lots empty of taxis running around on the street. I even asked the bell boy to call taxi on the street. But he turned down my request.

1-no brush and toothpaste provided to claim as environmental friendly but there is 24 hours heated floor in the bathroom and towel rack

2- why the fridge is locked? cant provide fridge services to guests ?

3- no coffee machine in the room, only have instant coffee available which is not good enough as 5 stars hotel

4- room tidy up / house keeping is so late..only came around 4-6 pm

I stayed here in Shanghai because I had business in the west. The room has no special good or bad place. The gym was pretty good. Nothing super special about the room. Fitness center was great. Had a business meeting in west shanghai, so we stayed here.

2. The check in experience of the Horizon Floor is not as good as before. I have to say there are many new faces that I am not too familiar and I feel they are not fully engaged with the customers when compared to my previous experience.

Jing'an Shangri-La's location in Shanghai has always been very good, and the service is second to none. Every time I stay, I feel at home and attentive service. Breakfast is really delicious and very suitable for my Chinese appetite. I really enjoyed my year.

As always, check in was smooth, service was amazing. The only thing was getting a redemption from GC for massage. Business centre was closed, spa doesn't have a printer, had to run up to get my phone (which could access gmail) and run down to lobby. They were super nice though. And massage was relaxing, although not exactly a sports massage, but they were super accommodating as I had to run for an evening call. Check out smooth. Restaurant service amazing as always. Always enjoy coming back here.

Very very disappointed from the dinner I had at the steak house. The steak was overcooked but the manager insisted it was not. I requested to change the steak 3 times but she has been trying to explain to me that the steak was cooked medium rare. At the end I gave up and kept the over cooked steak. I have taken a picture of the over cooked steak. Pls let me know how may I send it to you, so that you could take a look whether it was "aged" or "over cooked".

Shangri-la is our favourite hotel chain and we were not disappointed with the Shanghai Shangri-la.

From the moment we were collected from the airport, welcomed in the lobby and shown to our room, we felt as though we had come home.

The Horizon Club surpassed in every way with friendly welcoming staff and divine food and wine.

We would like to particularly mention Jupert, and Coco who went out of their way to make our stay particularly enjoyable and unforgettable. They truly are very valuable staff members!

We would also like to mention another fabulous member of staff who made our stay unbelievably wonderful and that was Wendy who was the Horizon Club hostess on the ground floor lobby. She not only went out of her way to be so welcoming but also helped us locate a tailor that we had been recommended and we were very happy with our purchases - all thanks to her.

May we also say how much we appreciated the comfort of our room. We couldn't have asked for more. We especially liked the bathroom fittings - very luxurious and gorgeous!

The hardware and location of the hotel are excellent, but there is still room for improvement in hskp and services. 1. I asked for bath salt on the first night, and my colleague who turned off the bed the next night did not leave me a bath salt. 2. The second night I planned to use the bathtub and found that the bathtub I used the previous night was not cleaned. 3. There is a night market activity downstairs, but there is no staff to inform in advance after booking and check-in. Even on the 40th floor, it is still very noisy.

I was the first time I stayed at Shangri-La Hotel, Shanghai, although it was only two days but it made me feel warm and warm.

This is a great property and very conveniently located. The rooms and amenities were great with great city views! The staff is friendly however explaining in English to housekeeping or room service is a challenge. I also had to call and remind housekeeping each day about having my room cleaned and it would be done post 4pm or 5pm which was frustrating. There need to be more vegetarian choices on the lunch buffet at the cafe.

The hotel was excellent and the room and the eqipment in the room were tastefully placed and in great working order. But the main reason why I was impressed with the hotel is down to the hospitality of its staff. The floor manager Marge, was extremely cordial and tended to me with professionalism and care right from the day I arrived to the day I left. I was taken straight to my room and the hotel staff took my passport and credit card (which I wasn't necessarily completely comfortable with) to complete the checkin process when I arrived. I also loved the attention to detail provided by the house cleaning staff (who removed the second pillow from one side of the bed when it was clear that I wasn't using it for 2 days) and the waiters on the 55th floor who greeted me with warmth and remembered my coffee preference every morning and brought it in for me without me having to order them after the 3rd day. Overall I had a wonderful experience at your hotel and I would certainly recommend it to my friends and colleagues and would be a happy patron eager to visit again.
