Great brunch, fantastic cocktails, and excellent service.
Went twice in 1 month. Both times the food was delicious, but also the wait was ridiculously long both times! When the food is that good, I get why you have to wait. However, there was over 5 open tables during our 45+ minute wait. If they could figure out staffing and reduce the wait, they would get 5 stars for sure!
Sunday, August 18, 2019, I took my 2 out of town vegetarian guests to Cafe Flora, which we thought was the best. First the hostess would not let us sit at the table where there would be no sun in our eyes. Later the waitress let us move to that table. One of my guests has food allergies. She ordered a pizza and made it clear she could not eat onions or she would get ill. She was half way into the pizza and noticed the onions (hard to notice, so cooked down). The waitress was very apologetic, said it was a kitchen error, and offered to give a discount on the bill. The discount was $2! My guest talked to the manager (who was also the uncooperative hostess) and told her how unsatisfactory a $2 discount was, since she was going to be ill from the pizza. The manager finally took the pizza off the bill. This would have been done automatically at any other restaurant. We're not going back there.
I'm a chef in from out of town + went after my shift at an event to get a fresh meal to go. The salad I ordered was thoughtless; raw squash (that tastes like nothing) and not much else...even though the menu promised peaches, arugula, grilled halloumi and grilled green beans. $14 isn't much to spend for a salad these days, but it's way more than I would have spent to go to Whole Foods and shave my own "virtuous squash" into a cardboard box. Vegetarian food isn't challenging. But serving it with passion is apparently a lot to ask.
The food is nice, but the wait to get seated can be extremely long.
Delicious food! Being vegan ive always wanted biscuits and gravy. Cafe flora has done a fabulous job with theirs. We has great service and our waitress was pleasant. There will be a wait so get there a bit early. This place is perfect for vegan/vegetarians. Pics of food included.
Awesome food
Expensive
Vegan
Must try dessert
Wonderful! Absolutely scrumptious! The food here is delicious and prepared so well. You come in the cafe on a cold evening and are greeted by some wonderful staff. No matter how busy they are they'll make sure to squeeze a "hello! How are you?" Into their schedule. You get seated and all the art and the plants are so much to handle is just crazy (in a good way ) the food comes and you can't stop eating. The flavors burst in your mouth and you look around and everyone is the same way, buried in their conversations and food. The best part? All veggitarian/vegan!!
This is my favorite brunch spot. They are doing a great job at social distancing and helping you feel safe during your dine in experience. Dress warmly as they have windows open for air circulation.
Really tasty. Lots of vegan options. Delicious coffee. They have a pretty sunroom with open windows.
Tried the shepherd s pie and the pomegranate and rose fizz here recently. Both were delicious. Really good quality vegetarian food. The atmosphere was nice and the service was great.
Amazing vegan and Gluten-Free options the pizza crust was amazing!
Great italian burger and yam fries! The house salad had a tasty vinaigrette. The space was plant filled and airy. Service was great but the food took awhile. Thanks for an awesome meal!
20 years and running, the best vegetarian food in Seattle.
I wanted to give a try and see how the chef will cook vegetables and offer a non-boring vegetarian menu. I was amazed by the quality of the food and how tasty it was. I usually do not take desert but after trying the entree, I thought I had to give a shot. I was not disappointed at all.
On top of that, the place is unique, pretty quiet and great to have a good night with your significant other or some friends. The service is also amazing. I just highly recommend the place. Not a mistake and I sure will be back.
The longest running upscale vegetarian restaurant in Seattle for a reason. Seasonally rotating menu. Everything is local, fresh, and innovative. Beautiful atrium seating with a fountain. Great for special occasions, impressing out-of-town guests, or brunch.
One of the best, if not the best, vegetarian restaurants in Seattle. Amazing food and great service.
Wonderful vegetarian food in a beautiful space. Great for date night
Good service, decent price and a lot of GF & V options. Tasty
Never disappoints but I wish their overnights oats were the same that s served at the airport location. That mango glaze is to die for!
We were expecting good things based on all of the good reviews, but we were sadly disappointed. The serving staff was very friendly, but everything was extremely slow. It took a long time to get a drink order, even longer for a food order, and then longer to get our bills. We also thought the food was only average for the cost. I don't know if we'll be coming back.
Lively vegetarian and vegan friendly spot with a great ambiance (plants, open space with tons of natural light, a waterfall), delicious food and cocktails. Came here for brunch when visiting Seattle and it was one of the best spots I went to. Ordered the Cinnamon roll, the Southern Breakfast plate, and the Huevos Rancheros. Food was excellent, staff was super friendly, and they give you Stumptown coffee while you wait for your table.
Always great breakfast. My favorite bloody Mary in Seattle. Airy comfortable setting.
Limites options but averall food and experience was nice
Wonderful ambiance and great service anchor this vegetarian restaurant. The food was tasty but a bit greasy , and I was dismayed at their use of canola oil.
Amazing atmosphere. Delicious food. Great service. Definitely coming back. Excellent place to meet for a business lunch.
Food was great but the service was weirdly slow. Coming in it took 10 minutes to even get a seat then the check took s long time to show up and putting down the credit cards took a while to. They all took long enough I started to wonder what was wrong. The food itself was good though.
Great vegetarian and vegan options. Friendly staff.
Always busy and always a wait but the food is amazing.
I loved eating here! The food here tastes and looks high quality and everything I ve ever ordered never failed to disappoint! The staff I ve had are quiet and just a teensy bit awkward but the atmosphere is quaint and very woodsy! I will definitely come back!
Best vegetarian food in Seattle!! Is a little expensive but is worth it. Also the atmosphere is very cool! I go to Cafe Flora at least once a month
Fantastic menu and food. Perfect for vegetarians - Brunch menu is even better
This is a vegetarians dream restaurant. They are creative and have lots of delicious vegan and vegetarian food that ranges from really healthy to tasty desserts. If I lived near Cafe Flora I would be a regular!
Great food, with plenty of options even for those with vegan and gluten free dietary preferences
Look no further for delicious vegetarian friendly food! I've come for weekend brunch and dinner. Brunch generally has a bit of a wait (typical for Seattle), but the food is worth it. Their menu rotates seasonally so you always have fresh produce! The interior is very cute and it has a nice ambiance. They always have great cocktails as well!
This place has very good food for all people with many dietary limitations. The only thing I would criticize is the line/wait to get in the restaurant and the time for the food to get to your table which is made up for from the amazing food.
Absolutely delicious! Great clean flavors and lovely texture combinations. Lovely service by Kelly.
We walked in here and waited for over 30 mins for a table and that's only fair as we didn't book a table considering it's a week day . The ordeal started post that . The waitress politely came and took the order and the food reached our table in 40 mins or so which was insane . She came after 20'mins and said one dish isn't there but she will get it done and we didn't understand what was happening . Since it was almost 9.40 and was risky for us hungry souls to look around for restaurant we decided to stay put. The food was delicious despite my rant . I feel the waitress forgot our orders or the kitchen is incapable of preparing food quickly . Unsure what was the issue . She did realize nothing went right and told us the peppers were on the house as they delayed it and wasn't sure if it was there etc. I wanted dessert but the fear of waiting again for the order for an hour kept us away from ordering. If hungry please skip the place .
The food was fantastic. This had an European feel and we loved this. We did not feel wanted and welcomed by the staff immediately after THEIR mistake. My husband ordered a $8 juice and they brought out a bloody Mary instead. They didn't give us a pitcher of water like everyone else had one. Also, they told us at the very end of our meal that they gave us the wrong drink and still attempted to charge us for it. The waitress walked away with our plates and dropped the knife on my leg. Unacceptable and not genuine staff and service.
I have an epi pin because of my food allergies that cause me go into epileptic shock at any moment. My husband and I felt nauseated and thought we had a mild case of food poisoning (immediately after We left). We couldn't wait until We arrived home in 15 minutes and had to immediately stop to rectify the symptoms. We would go back solely for the food.
A nice little restaurant, with exceptional vegan/vegetarian cuisine. Hit this place up on the weekend, for an amazing brunch. Moat of the food comes vegan, but you can have the stuff that isn't, made vegan if need be (scrambled tofu for eggs). Seriously try the cinnamon roll, one of the best things I've ever eaten!
Delicious vegetarian food in a bright and open setting.
Order the Earl Grey French 75. It tastes like donuts. 69 stars
Our server was very rude and treated us as though we were an annoyance to her. The food was decent but it didn't make up for her attitude
One of the most delicious vegetarian restaurants ever conceived.
Aways have great meals here and I'm not a vegetarian.
Well balanced flavors and textures. Great service and very homey atmosphere. The bathrooms were clean.
The food is very good and features a nice variety of options though i believe at these prices they should perhaps include a sharing plate or two of appetizers. Vegans and Vegetarians will love it all!
Soooooooo delicious! Don't worry about "missing" meat. The flavors are rich and exciting. Everytime I've gone has been exquisite and worth the price. The drinks pair well with the food. The atmosphere is also fun with natural wood, light, and plants. It feels refreshing! One time I went they were understaffed and a bit frazzled, so be wary of that when going in. But once we had a waiter, he was attentive and friendly.
Really unique atmosphere, coupled with great vegetarian dishes. It someone easy to tell this cafe is pushing to cater to non-vegetarians by expanding their selection. The breakfast menu is my favorite!
One of my all time favorite places to visit. It is vegetarian and has plenty of vegan options as well.
Friendly server. Great recommendations. Loved it all!!
I m getting hungry just posting this picture. And I just had dinner.
Was there earlier and today & thankfully beat the rush (around noon), so was seated immediately. I think the pay and seat option is efficient for people getting in and out despite it being a more sit-down place. Definitely unique choices, from their sweet & savory options, to their drinks. I was so pleasantly surprised with their tofu scramble. It was my first time having a tofu scramble... so I didn t know what to expect, but man, that flavor (closest thing to chef s kiss)
To all my vegans out there... you ll have plenty of options despite it being a veg place.
I miss brunch already
Their omelette quesadilla thing was a god send to my mouth
Cafe Flora never disappoints. Always delicious and the menu is seasonal. Highly recommended.
Solid 5 stars. Everything is good. You don t even have to be vegetarian to enjoy the food here. There s usually a wait so show up early
Awesome food for a reasonable price. One of my favorite places for healthy eating.
Under staffed over crowded, wait was about an hour, food took way too long, was cold bu the time it got to the table. Would not recommend
Our favorite vegetarian place in Seattle. The brunch is fantastic and the service is warm and friendly. I especially recommend the Rancho Colorado Scramble, but any of the season specialties are great too!
One of my favorite restaurants! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is awesome.
The Valentines Day dinner was fabulous. Multiple courses, each great. The wine flight was well matched to the courses. This is our 2nd consecutive Valentines dinner at Cafe Flora. Ask for the garden room.
The biscuits and gravy on the brunch menu are delicious. Recommend
Really spectacular experience. Wonderful atmosphere.
Awesome food. do yourself a favor and check them out. a little bit pricey
beautiful relaxing ambiance. delicious vegetarian food that tastes like good ole comfort food and not flavorless diet food. great service
My wife is a vegetarian and every time we're in Seattle I always make a special trip to this place great food even if you're not a vegetarian. The atmosphere is awesome!!
Great atmosphere, great service, delicous food!!! What an awesome experience!
This Seattle classic never fails to provide a wonderful meal for our family. From the tacos to the salads to the kids food, everyone is satisfied by the end of the meal. We ve received some mixed advice regarding which options on the menu are safe for celiac, but it s always been because the server is new. Their dedicated fryer allows for some treats that are usually off limits at other establishments. Parking hasn t been a problem despite a half dozen trips at prime time over the last year. They have 2 small lots and neighborhood parking, while challenging, is not impossible.
Came all the way here because of the good reviews and vegetarian selections. The menu offered limited choices, and we still had a hard time ordering something we actually understand. And then the food tasted strange.
Delicious! It is a regular go-to when we have out-of-town guests!
Went there for Sunday brunch, very crowded.
Had reservation for 10 but their system showed 6 people reservation, maybe call them to confirm.
Food was good, nothing very special.
Cornbread was very nice.
Great food-definitely recommend the red bean burger and the Oaxaca tacos. so-so desserts- too sweet for my liking. very good service and staff! We had 4 rather rambunctious kids (including two toddlers)-the staff were very accepting and cordial with them and us despite the ruckus they caused.
Good food and fast service. Will definitely visit again. Don't forget to reserve though.
A great vegetarian option. Gets very busy in the weekends but during the week should be easy the get a table. All food is amazing and coffee is good. Great to spend the morning working while having a snack
Eh. Ok vegetarian food. Uninspired. Harried service. Gorgeous space and art though
Food is tasty and vegan but not super healthy. Long waiting times.
Surface is good so are the mixed drinks food is consistent I have been to other vegetarian restaurants that I like better
