I became vegan recently and I can t believe all the flavorful options I found at this place! The avocado toast is one of my favorites. Simple, elegant and supper nutritious. The people is amazingly friendly too. Everything is worth the 45 minutes wait to get a table. :)

This restaurant is so unique and beautiful inside! I felt like I was in another country - lovely plants everywhere, sunlight pouring in.
The food was incredible. Everything was so so tasty, gourmet, and divine. They don't just hide vegetarian food with spicy-ness - Best vegetarian food ever. I still dream about this place! I can't wait to go back next time we are in town.

Extremely delicious food options! Loved their traveler s chai (with whole milk), a great blend of tea spices and drizzled cinnamon with steamed milk (not pictured).
Their portions are pretty big and good for sharing. We got their seasonal pumpkin pancakes with pecan and Cajun mushrooms n grits, I m a fan. Pancakes were a bit cakey but pecans and caramel drizzle along with fall flavors made up for it. Mushroom dish was absolutely phenomenal. Pro-tip: get a reservation if you re a party of 6 or more people.

Oh Cafe Flora, what has become of you? I suspect you are a victim of your own success. I've been going to Cafe Flora for over 10 years and over the last 2 years I've become increasing disappointed. While i continue to love the food, the service has continued to deteriorate.

I think the last straw for me was my last visit. We were told 30 minutes which turned into an hour. This wouldn't happen if you could make a reservation or if they gave you a buzzer or sent you a text, but instead we waited and waited. Then when we got a table, we submitted both our drink order and food at the same time (as we had ample time to review the menu) and were treated with disdain.

I will miss you Cafe Flora. There was a time when you were nearly the only game in time, but times change.

We ordered biscuits and gravy, Italian burger, yam fries, hot apple cider, and a raspberry and ginger lemonade combo. As a vegetarian, I d always wanted to try biscuits and gravy, and this place served a great vegetarian option of that. The burger and the drinks tasted great too! Giving this place 4 stars only because we were suggested a scrambled tofu to go with biscuits and gravy on the side, but it was very oily and we were charged additionally for it and the yam fries were cold. Other than that, it all tasted great. Lots of interesting items on the menu. Can t wait to go back again and try more things.

This evening's meal was classic Cafe Flora: unbelievably delicious goat cheese and fresh berries bruschetta followed by their classic Italian pesto veggie burger/house salad and the to-die-for Portobello Wellington. Scrumptious everything! Then we had one of the yummiest treats for dessert: a fun trio of homemade ice cream sandwiches that were simply divine and beautifully presented. Our server, Cedric, was outstanding - very personable, smiling, efficient and upbeat. A perfect evening at our favorite neighborhood jewel. Thank you for having the peaceful summer patio.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Seattle, so it saddened me today to learn that as gracious as they are in meeting their customers' dietary needs, they are surprisingly unwilling to accomodate seating requests and reservations.

Tip: if you want a reservation, say it's for a party of six, otherwise you take your chances and know that the wait for the more desirable (read: less noisy) seating area can be in excess of half an hour.

I have gone her for brunch many a Sunday after meditation at the Shambhala Centre down the road. I love the passion fruit smoothie thing they do - it s so tasty and I could drink three times as much as they bring.

The breakfast scrambles are all pretty good, although there is one that sounds tasty in the description but is pretty bland. Thankfully they have Bonache Habanero sauce in the tables, which is the only habanero sauce I ve ever liked.

Great selection of teas and they are very on it with keeping water and coffee topped up.

They also have signage by the washrooms acknowledging that folks can choose the one that they are most comfortable with. And a lot of the staff are of the QUILTBAG - so queer friendly space. But hey, it s all veggie and often vegan so that s sort of to be expected.

This used to be my absolute favorite but the quality and portion size keeps going down. I've given it many chances but I think I'm going to have to break up with Cafe Flora now. (It was the Hoppin John's Fritters)

One of my favorite restaurants in the Seattle area. Amazing food, great for big groups or intimate dining. Vegan, gf friendly and their teas are freaking to die for. It's a gorgeous atmosphere no matter what time of day or year.

I really want to like this place. Despite multiple bad experiences, I keep returning because the restaurant has a great menu and atmosphere. The food is good, but the service is abysmal. The servers and hosts are extremely rude and incompetent.

First and last visit. Waited nearly an hour from order to getting food and it arrived cold with crusty eggs that had obviously sitting out for a while. Including wait time it was nearly a 2 hour experience for cold food. Total waste of time.

Cafe Flora is favorite in our house. Their Oaxaca tacos, the cinnamon roll, the portobello Wellington, and pretty much anything they do with polenta are incredibly tasty. The only downside is the wait during busy times. It only highlights how much people love this place and the food. We always look forward to coming here.

This place was amazing! We called ahead, which was very smart, because the line was super long when we arrived. They do have coffee available while you wait, though, so that's a plus. The restaurant is bright and fun and full of plants, and we really enjoyed sitting in the sun room because we were gifted with some rare February sunshine! The staff was gregarious and offered informed recommendations.
It is entirely vegetarian! And delicious! I enjoyed the cranberry ginger cider and the Forager Scramble, and wanted to split the croissant bread pudding with our group, but sadly that was not available.
The rosemary lemonade was also quite tasty.
I highly recommend this place, but would advise folks to call ahead.

My boyfriend and I were there in the mid 2000s, and I never knew such luscious and delicious vegetarian cuisine existed. If I can ever make it back to Seattle, I will definitely be dining there once again. It's just not dinner, it's an experience, and a culinary adventure.

Lots of indoor seating, but still gets busy enough that there is a wait. There is also seating at the bar of going solo. The menu has a variety of vegan food options including biscuits! Friendly and attentive staff. Coffee was great.

Okay, very mixed impressions here. I really wanted to love this place, because I've heard very good things about it and it is a vegetarian restaurant! So I was really excited to try it out.
The negatives. First of all, the service was far from the best - our server was not rude, but she would get obviously annoyed with any questions about food, show up and interrupt our conversation all the time, and all that without any smile. Second, the food - I was looking forward to having a big salad, but their raw vegan salad options are surprisingly limited (and they don't like to make substitutes)! I understand that the focus of this place is on cooked vegetarian food, but there should be at least one hearty salad on the menu. What I got was no different from some garden salad from some steakhouse - lots of lettuce with tiny pieces of tomatoes, cucumbers and melon - not very impressing and still hungry after it..I also got 'jar of pickles' and it was probably the worst pickles I've ever tried, very heavy on vinegar. The tea came in a damaged chipped teapot. All in all, we ended up paying close to $100 for our dinner and I was still hungry after it.
The positives. My friend's pizza and vegan cake were extremely delicious. The location is really good. And the best part was the ambiance! Spacious light-filled room with live plants and a little waterfall in the middle - gives you a feel that you're sitting in some patio in a park. Very nice.
To sum up, it's a great place if you're a vegetarian, but if you like salads then this place has very limited options. And this place should definitely work on training their staff better!

Delicious dishes and chai. Only downside is they are slow on weekends, about 30min wait to get your food. Egg dishes are sizable and the huevos nopalitos was smaller, but the flavors were very good.

One of our favorite eateries in Seattle. It's great to have an all-vegetarian restaurant. Went for Sunday brunch. Really enjoyed the coffee cake, scrambles, waffles, etc. Seating in the atrium is nice.

I ve been here two times and have had vastly different experiences. The first time was on a Sunday for brunch. The food was exceptional, the ambiance of the place was phenomenal and I had a great time. The coconut tofu entree and mango drink were fantastic. The second time was on a weekend evening and the place was crowded and the food wasn t up to the mark. I couldn t finish my dish. The parking is a pain and the menu is pricey and hence the three stars. I would recommend a place if your looking for an all vegetarian cuisine.

We loved eating here! Great food with a great, friendly staff. We usually eat meat with every meal but we were completely delighted with everything we ordered. This was an unexpected airport find and gets five stars for sure!

While not the cheapest place, you get what you pay for. The food is amazing, the service is great and the unique atmosphere is really wild. I loved it. Lots of running water and light. Very different.

The food here is really nice! The pancakes were amazing but the huevos rancheros weren't as good as I hoped they would be. The wait was shorter than I expected given it was 10am on a Sunday but once we ordered it took quite a long time for the food to come.

We are visiting Seattle and I simply had to bring Cindy here. As always, the food was extremely excellent. Our poor waiter had a lot to do, Cindy has recently gone full vegan and the poor guy had to research a lot for us, but he did it happily. My Malbec was quite excellent as well.

Great and lovely meal. So many great and unique options for vegetarian and gluten free. Yummy cocktails, nice wine list. Can't wait to return.
The day we went the gf desserts were chocolate and I'm not a chocolate fan so no dessert, hopefully next time they will have other gf dessert choices.

My wife and I have been to Cafe Flora a couple of times before and both times were absolutely wonderful. The last time we went was for 2019 Valentine's Day. The food was HORRIBLE! I don't want to spend much time with this review and it would take more time than I care to spend writing a review for the meal. They served a 4 course meal for $75 per person. I thought the price was a bit steep but since it' was Valentine's day, I thought they would serve a wonderful, thoughtful, tasteful meal. With each course, I hoped things would get better. They never did. The starfruit/pistachio appetizer was OK. A bit odd, but OK. The salad had a strange mix of flavors. The main course was a bunch of goop. My patties were burned on one side and gooey, while the other items lacked flavor. The chef tried to hide the burned patties by laying them down on the burned side. We spent 200 dollars on the meal and afterwards, wished I had gone to McDonald's which I almost entirely avoid. Too bad this once wonderful restaurant is now a bygone. Too bad and so very sad...

Great place for vegans and gluten free people. The menu is quite hip and has many unconventional dishes. There are a few pizzas for the less adventurous. The restaurant is chic, full of natural wood and indoor plants. There is art for sale on the wall. The service was terribly slow, but it was new year's day. The portions were a bit small, but still pretty filling. Dishes are about $20 a plate, so it isn't a cheap place. Good ambiance for a date or to have some conversation. I'll be coming back to try more stuff. If you're an adventurous eater, this is your spot!
