Very good ambience, great food and drinks. It has very limited parking, with spots for 5 cars + 1 (handicap parking). But plenty by the road parking which are almost always available! Great place overall.. :)

Great vegetarian and vegan food with a nice bar and drinks selection. Ambiance is great and the attached sun room / garden space is a nice touch, especially in the summers. Food is very pricey but very tasty and locally sourced.

Having been a patron of Cafe Flora for what seems like forever, it was very disappointing to take a client there for lunch last week.

The restaurant atrium is nice, but the service was glacial. We waited more than a half hour after ordering our food. I ordered an egg scramble with mushrooms that had a "nettle and cilantro" sauce on top. My client ordered the same dish except with tofu.

She thought it was okay, but the flavor for me was bad. Even though I scraped off as much sauce as I could, it left a bad aftertaste that lingered much of the afternoon, even when I chewed gum! If you order this dish, ask for the sauce on the side.

Cold, bitter coffee was replenished with reasonable frequency. Not sure if they were having an off day, but it wasn't busy when we arrived.

This is an amazing place to grab dinner. The avocado toast was the best thing I've eaten in months. I wasn't able to try a cocktail due to a work happy hour earlier in the day and a desire to remain functional, but they had a lot of home-brewed concoctions behind the bar, and they stocked a number of my favorite liquors, so I'm guessing the mixology is on par with the food. The bartenders and servers are also genuinely nice. This place was a highlight of my very short trip to Seattle. If I'd stayed longer I would have gone back the next day.

We got the pancakes and the southern platter with tofu. It was awful honestly. The tofu was super dry, the greens were flavored poorly, and the pancake was gooey. The worst food I have had in Seattle. Oh and the potatoes (we paid $5 for a side) looked like they came out of a bag you would buy at the grocery store. They were not the potatoes I saw in other reviews. Never going back here again!

Great ambience. The food is good for vegetarian food. Portion sizes are appropriate, but don't go too hungry or you may be a little disappointed. The wait can be quite long, so be ready for that. The service was friendly and relatively quick. Overall a very decent place to go for brunch especially after a walk in the arboretum.

Whoa! What an amazing dining room! We sat in the sun room which was so beautiful - a lovely experience. Food was good, though not revolutionary. Service was friendly until we stayed a bit longer than we should have for a busy brunch. Will definitely go back!

Out of all of the restaurants in Seattle, Cafe Flora is the loveliest of them all. I love everything here, the fresh juices, seasonal appetizers, classic entrees, special holiday menus, and desserts, namely their remarkable Coconut Cream Layer Cake. The interior is serene with charming foliage throughout, I love Cafe Flora.

My husband and I came on a Saturday morning so it was pretty busy. We had to wait to be seated, then wait again to take our order. Even longer wait to get served. Didn't realized it was vegetarian when we entered. Liked the eggs and cheesy grits but collard greens weren't my favorite. Coffee was really good though. The courtyard is fabulous and makes for a very relaxing atmosphere

Lots of vegan options, but also some great choices for non-vegans. The vegan brownies are to die for... seriously decadent. It's a little pricey, but the atmosphere is great and the food is excellent.

We had to wait for a long time. When we finally got a table, it was super loud in this place. Service was slow, food only average.

Update: went there again during off peak hours and it was great, in particular the "sun room"

The atmosphere was lovely, food and drinks delicious, and the service was great (after waiting for several minutes to even be greeted). It was difficult to choose what we wanted from the menu with so many intriguing options so I can't wait to return.

Visited for brunch on Sunday. We ordered brunch platters and coffee. Our eggs were not seasoned enough and the coffees were a little too sweet. Would recommend that you serve Salt + Pepper with the food, as it gets difficult to get the server's attention with covid protocols around. Excellent Twitter feed that informed us about the outdoor seating available. I also found the garlicky greens "tooo garlicky" - very overpowering and I barely ate it. Rosemary biscuits were a little too dense. But the overall platter would have benefitted from seasoning.

One of the best vegan restaurants in Seattle. We went there for our anniversary lunch and this place never disappoints. Their yam fries and French dip sandwich are must tries. My favorite go to drink is the golden milk.

We came here for Sunday dinner. Lots of space was available so we got seated at a table we chose. The restaurant was divided into several parts (outdoor, half-outdoor, indoor) and had a nice relaxing cafe vibe.

My friend and I shared an Italian (Black Bean) Burger and a Summer Panzanella. The Panzanella was listed as an entree but basically a salad. It was served with slices of grilled focaccia bread. The mozzarella, cucumber, heirloom tomatoes together with the focaccia gave the salad a good texture. The dressing was good but appeared greasy towards the bottom, as the veggies at the bottom was soaked in it for too long.

The burger was good. We added extra avocado. The patty was alright, but the bun and the aioli was delicious.

The service was very fast and our waiter gave good suggestions.

It was a decent and cheap dinner ($19.26 per person after tax without tips). Their coconut tofu lettuce wrap looked quite interesting. I may come back to try that.

I ve tried several menu items between brunch and dinner and have always been pleased. Their biscuits and gravy are highly recommended, while the cinnamon bun is a bit much for those without a sweet tooth.

Never had a vegetarian breakfast until this visit. This was very tasty. I wish people would accept the food for what it is and not try to do things with labels. A sausage is meat not bundled veggies and fruit, etc find names that work with these wonderful tasty dishes.

It has a beautiful garden seating area, and luxurious brown cloth napkins. I highly recommend the rosemary lemonade. This restaurant is vegetarian, and many of the menu items can be "made vegan" on request. I'm not super impressed with the veganization, mainly because I feel the tofu comes out too dry and the cheeses are not replaced with other fats like avocado, but it's still pretty good. There is sometimes a very long wait here, and usually not enough lobby seating, so be prepared to stand outside for a while.

We started going to Cafe Flora right after we shifted to Seattle in 2014. Love the vegan Hoppin' John Fritters and the vegan Forager Scramble. We come here only on weekends as we love the weekend brunch options. Had come for dinner once but didn't like the food much. The ambience is awesome. We celebrated our Second Wedding Anniversary here, so it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Eh. Food was okay and service was slow. Coffee was served without sweetener and the biscuits were overcooked. Don't ask for substitutions because apparently that is unheard of at this place. I mean if you don't want garlic greans with your eggs you should be able to get something else. For the price the portions were very small. Hot sauce was a brand I have never heard of. Who doesn't have Tobasco? Not a good place for the simpleton diner such as myself. No omelet on the menu. Very good place for the alternative diet like vegetarian or vegan.

The food was delicious we had a party of 12. The reason for the poor rating was the bathroom situation. The two bathrooms are gender neutral this is OK when it is for one and door can be locked. My daughters friend went to use the bathroom and when washing her hands a man came in an started peeing in a urinal next to the sink it was frightening to a young girl and very inappropriate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it would have been equally bad for any age range of women how would it feel for my 85 year old mother -Management must find a better way to serve clients.

Food was delicious!
I'm vegan and find it hard to dine outside where it is up to my standards.
I just moved here from L.A where I was pretty spoiled with my options.
The food at Cafe Flora was amazing and the service was fantastic!
I highly recommend this place and I will be back

The food is very good, the place decor is nice and cozy and they have great patios but it's a four start instead of five because if you show up after seven or so they are usually out of stuff. It happened to me every single time I went so I recommend going earlier in the evening to have better luck at getting access to all their options.

It's an amazing brunch place plenty vegan/vegetarian options. Their cocktails are also wonderful and they have amazing liquor pairing with deserts.

You will not be disappointed although the wait during weekends are long and may take up to an hour to get your seats so be prepared. There are couple of coffee shops closeby where you can camp while waiting.

PS : they do not take reservations.

The food at cafe flora is easily a five, however the service is definitely less than optimal.

We ordered a French dip and the veggie burger, both of which were outstanding. They were hearty and came in good sized portions with a side salad and a side of yam fries.

The server was very distant and didn't seem invested or happy to be there. She was very short with us which didn't match the intended vibe of this home grown restaurant.

That all being said the food is very good. It's worth it for the meal but do not expect great service.

It wasn t very delicious at all. The cappuccinos were undrinkable. The butternut squash quiche came out overcooked and dry. The side salad was good and the only thing I finished. The egg scramble was tasteless. Very disappointing. How did you guys get such good reviews?

Never going back.

Never going back.

Cafe Flora is a great place to eat with people you don't like, because with the staff constantly reminding you that there is a wait for your table, you can wolf down your food, pay quickly and get out without even getting the chance to chat.

I have been a devoted patron of Cafe Flora since the early 1990's, but after breakfast there this morning, I wont set foot in the place. I was about 10 or 15 minutes late and the friend I was meeting told me that the waiter actually said something about needing the table because a number of people were waiting. He "approached" her twice before any order was placed!

After an admittedly fine breakfast, the waiter grimaced when I asked for more coffee and my friend wanted more hot water for her tea. He then said something about people waiting for the table. When we lingered a few minutes longer, he actually told us that "they had reservations"! Which is not true, because they only take reservations for six or more (it has been their policy forever) and we were at a table which was small for two.

Lest you think that the pressure to eat fast and go came from this individual waiter, when I told him I would never be back, he called a woman I recognized as a long-time manager over and SHE reiterated that she was "sorry", but there were people waiting for the table.

In case you were wondering how long we were there: about an hour and-a-half, from the time I arrived.

Cafe Flora, I am sorry that you are now so greedy that you are willing to ruin your customers' dining experience to sell more stuff. I have spent half of an hour and more waiting patiently for a table in part to enjoy your food, which is good, but also to savor a meal with friends and family. You have lost this long-time customer and the many people who joined her for special brunches and dinners on birthdays, Mother's Day, etc.

Really good food! My 16yo son had never had vegetarian food and so of course didn't want it. However afterwards he said he'd like to go back sometime to eat there again. I got the bfast platter and he got the Rancho Colorado scramble and a Cinnamon roll. All delicious. Thanks!

This place was tops for artisan vegan hand crafted creations. Excellent menu and plenty of soy and gluten free options. Will come back to this hot spot upon my return. Price was excellent and the portions were large. That says a lot about a vegan place! You won't be disappointed.
