I ve never been pre-charged for dine in before. Is this normal for this particular establishment? I don t like prepaying before actually dining because you include the tip, which the lowest preset amount is 18% as opposed to 15%. You could select other , but you always hope for good service, but I digress.
I was not checked up on or asked how my meal was. I would have liked to order dessert, but no one asked or followed up. I also would have liked a to good container. A yellow flag should have been when my server brought me two empty glasses and not water. We all have spacey moments or bad days, but if that s the case could you tell your partner, so that s/he could cover your lapses? Also, would this even be an issue if you didn t have to prepay? What incentive is there for someone to do well if you have to prepay for the tip? After waiting for a while I just decided to flag down someone.
The food was okay. I like ketchup for my fries and when I requested it, I was given cold ketchup, which I understand. It was in one of those plastic 2 or 4 ounce condiment containers. Things like this and not being checked on is not 18% tip worthy service, in my humble opinion, but they already took the money.
I had the French dip - 4 stars. All the above mentioned just overshadowed the food though.
