On the 9th of August, we visited Toyota of Portland to buy a new car that is a Rav4 XLE. There was only 1 white Rav4 XLE left, Roman, the sales employee introduced us to the car and helped us with all the paperwork. We also wanted to thank Roman for enthusiastically show us the programs on the car and negotiated with the boss to bring us the best deal for our Rav4. It was truly a great experience and we will come back in the future.

I bought a new, fully loaded 2010 Rav4 from Sayed at Broadway. I had done my research, knew what I wanted, what I was willing to pay and he did the rest. I essentially said "meet my numbers and I'll buy the car". He met them and I purchased the vehicle. In fact, he put me in a Rav that was more than I asked for at the price that I wanted for a less loaded car. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and with Sayed.
Check in and check out were efficient and service manager friendly. Brought in 2010 Prius for 100,000 mile service which is oil change and inspection. Was told needed two other services at that mileage, but then he checked my service records and saw They had done prematurely at 45000 miles! Called me after looking at car and said I needed a $230 hybrid battery fan cleaning because my cabin filter had a lot of dog hair in it. Let them do it as felt pressured being told that battery could overheat. When came to pick up manager showed me picture of fan and did not hide the fact that it was clean and the service was likely not needed. Did not charge for adjusting one headlamp (had quoted $68). Performed battery fluid service but did not document whether they had checked the brake pads and did not note the thickness; manage brushed it off as Brake pads don t usually need replacing on a Prius at this mileage. Did not instill confidence, I have no idea whether they checked them or not. I asked not to rotate tires as under Costco warranty, they Marked they had rotated. Guess I Will find out when I bring to Costco. Overall, felt like I had service I didn t need, not sure if a good inspection was performed of brakes, and offset of not charging for headlamp adjustment emphasized like they were doing me a big favor. Plus this review request is sent basically saying if I can t give 5 stars please don t review but call them instead. They are convenient to my workplace but not sure I will be back.
Husband just bought a Toyota Tacoma from Chris and realized after he got home it was not a 4x4. Took it back and they totally made it right and got us an even better Tacoma. Will definitely buy in the future. Great place!!
Tried to get an oil change and was told it would be a 2 hour wait. I say I will make an appointment and come back. I call to make an appointment and ask how long it will take. 90 minutes with an appointment. That is an unacceptable amount of time for an oil change.
I took my car in for a seat belt recall. It was easy to schedule the appointment and they even gave me a car to use during the 5-6 hours the repair took.
Appointment set for 10:40. Guaranteed to be an hour of less. At 12:00 they hadn't even started and said it would be another hour. Fantastic, but utterly worthless, guarantee. Left without any work having been done.
Had to have my 25,000 mile inspection done and they were fast, friendly and professional. During my wait, I chatted with an associate on what my options are, come the end of my lease in a few months. She educated me and gave great info with no pressure behind it. Just straight up answers to my questions.
I phoned in for a brake quote for my 2006 four runner and was quoted $229.90 for all four brakes with a coupon they were offering through the end of the month. I felt this was slightly high, which dealers typically are, but made an appointment for Saturday morning 2/27/2016. When I dropped my vehicle off the intake person, Alissa Burge ask me how much I was expecting to pay and I told here I had a phone quote and it would be 230, she said $229.90 and I initialed the drop off paperwork and left. I returned later in the day and was told I owed $459.90. When I said no I was quoted $229.90 she said well that was for one axle and the girls on the phone are not supposed to give quotes. I was livid and made a limited time offer to pay for the parts and labor for one axle which was $130 more than my original quote and never do business with them again. She supposedly contacted the manager, Jeff Hay who was not on duty, and explained the situation. I was offered $50 dollars off. I made a reasonable offer and explained if we could not resolve it now then the offer was off the table and I would rent a vehicle and pursue legal action via my attorney. My wife convinced me to pay for it and we could contact the Better Business Bureau, Attorney General and my lawyer on Monday. Alissa Burge was not going to release the car I had decided to pay on and I had to threaten to call the police to get my car turned over to me. This happened in front of my wife and kids who had returned to the dealership to pick me up.I paid the bill under duress because I have to go to work on Monday and in the short run it was cheaper than renting and suing for recovery. I was provided a photocopy of my quote that had been overwritten in pen before being photocopied. My documentation had been falsified, which is very obvious in the photocopy and Monday in addition to working I have the opportunity to file a false claim with my Card provider and contact my lawyer. I purchased my Vehicle from Broadway Toyota and have had work done here in the past but will never do business with them again and the 2016 purchase of a new 4 runner will be made elsewhere. In my opinion this action was illegal, corrupt and I would strongly recommend not doing business with Broadway Toyota.
Michael, my agent, was super helpful and friendly, making the process of discovery and decision smooth and painless. Usually I cringe at the thought of working with a dealer, but this was a piece of cake.
My husband and I had a great experience at Toyota of Portland. We were looking for a specific pick-up, which was not on the lot at the time. Our Sales Consultant, Donnie Griffin, went out of his way to get the exact vehicle we wanted. We couldn't be happier! Thank you Donnie, and the entire staff at Toyota of Portland!
We left work early and took our Prius in before 2pm for the scheduled appointment for an oil change and sat down to wait. At 430 we discovered that Toyota still had not done the job. They said their printer was out of ink and their techs had not received the work order. They said it would be another 1-1/2 hours. They seemed to be concerned and asked what they could do to make it right. We said "at this point, you should just do this and not charge anything." They said how about we only charge you $65 and do a free tire rotation.
Nearly 3 hours of waiting. What was our time worth?
Nothing.
It was like a Donald Trump encounter. The feigned concern but money grubbing default. Bottom line is you can't fix new car dealerships.
We can get tires rotated free at Les Schwab.
We get better prices, superb maintenance and repairs and much better service including free vehicle examinations at many up to date car garages in Portland including Metro Metrics and Impact Auto.
The service people are very hardworking and friendly however be warned unless you say exactly what needs to be done they won't peruse any other repairs even if it's obvious like a headlight is out etc.... I have been coming here for a while and learned a policy they have is you don't have to make an appointment just show up! I think that may be why they don't fix things or at least call you and say we noticed this you want it fixed? I can't imagine working like they do which no wonder they don't call if it's that kind of workload where you have no idea what will be dropping in.
Brought my car in for a repair. Less than a month later the same problem occurred and the on board computer gave me the same codes as last time. When I brought it back in to get it fixed again they double charged me. Ended up shelling out twice as much money due to the fact that they did not do their job the first time. The service department does not do their job.
Usually you only take the effort to write a review if the service really sucked or was really great. In my case it was phenomenal.
I admit my first visit to Broadway Toyota was lack luster. Our second visit, when we bought our car, was unlike any other car buying experience. Pat was sincerely dedicated to helping us buy the car we wanted and never pressured us into another car. When we bought our new prius he even remembered a comment i had made in passing about the music we like listening to and had the car set to that station for our first ride. unlike my other experiences with trying to buy a car, i didn't feel hassled, i felt respected. maybe i got the best deal, maybe i didn't. but the extra few hundred dollars i may have spent were all worth the service and respect.
Royce and the service team make getting my cars serviced really easy. They communicated status updates and questions easily over text and calls. Best dealer service I've experienced.
I went to Broadway Toyota of Portland with no plan of buying the car that I was interested in that day (as I had read all the do's and don't's of car purchasing, which includes negotiating on-line, and not buying first visit at the dealership). I was going to visit at least 3 of the 5 Toyota dealerships in the area to get the best deal. I was contacted by Nick Niemeyer by text to ask for him when I arrived. I did, letting him know what I was interested in, etc. He was kind, sincere, and respectful as he showed me the variations of what I was looking for, which they had a great selection of on their lots. I ended up finding a car that I liked more than what I was hoping to get - one that was in Seattle that they had sent down for me for no charge. The price was at least competitive, and I felt no pressure at all. I ended up putting a payment down for a car, as I knew the price and service I was getting was as good as I could expect. The financing, licensing, and registration process could not have been smoother, and they even let me leave my old car their on their lot for OPB to pick up two days later. Nick made the experience as drama-free and smooth as it could have gone. I am very satisfied and impressed with the experience I had getting the car that I wanted, and highly recommend Nick and Broadway Toyota.
I brought my car in to get an oil change and to possibly talk about trading it in, in the future for a new car. I received excellent customer service from the service department and sales. They made what could have been a very stressful situation, very relaxing, informative, stress free and calming. I left with all the information I needed and then some to plan for purchasing a car in the near future. I highly recommend broadway for all your Toyota needs. A++++
I had the opportunity to work with Sharon Bailey who is their customer service rep. I worked with her because I was having a few issues with my vehicle and she did an amazing job of staying in touch with me and was able to get all of my needs met and beyond.
Working with Abraham was great. I felt zero pressure to buy and he was quick to help us find what we were looking for. I will ask or him again if we buy another car in the future and would definitely refer friends and family to him.
They say no problems but the tests determined that is a lie. Yes, I have bad credit & a low income. Regardless when we got there the sales guy said they work with anyone. I wanted a used car and had $1500 cash for the down payment and told them upfront my monthly income & budget.
The only car they had to show me was $9000. I didn't want to take it for a test drive until I knew if they would work with us but he convinced me that they work with everyone so we went for the test drive.
Of course I fell in love with the car, as did my mom and two young special needs boys, only to be told 30mims later that they still didn't have an answer about my financing application but that they work with 60 different banks and should be able to make it work.
A week later and they still haven't contacted us or returned my calls. If you can't work with people they just need to say sorry but no...
We were moving to Oregon. We completed our purchase online with the assistance of sales person Stefan Howerton. Stefan was very helpful, even coming to the dealership on his day off to make sure our car was ready for pick up. Great job Stefan!
Toyota of Portland offers low pressure sales and stands behind their cars. I recommend purchasing with Costco membership, if available. Internet Sales rep Errol Ater provided a refreshing buying experience.
The service is fabulous. Ask for Michael he ll treat you right and get you the car you want. I am the pickiest and he found exactly what I asked for at the price I wanted
Tien did a great job of finding out and addressing our criteria and questions rather than do the hard sell thing. New to Toyota, he didn't have every answer on top of his head but he quickly found the info and was able to explain it to us. He even came in on Mother's Day to complete the sale. We also appreciated that when we determined the car we wanted wasn't on the lot, the dealer was able to find our car at another dealership and have it in Portland for us the next day. Everyone we encountered made the experience positive.
I was due for an oil change and went to my local Jiffy Lube on 99w in Tigard. Their salesmen quoted me $160.00 for a synthetic oil change (I drive a Corolla), air/engine filters and a radiator cap; needless to say I immediately left their facility.
I heard through word of mouth that Broadway Toyota was offering oil changes from 3-5pm for $19.99. I called to make an appointment right away and spoke with their friendly representative (Myra I believe was her name). I pulled right into their service center and I was greeted by another friendly associate who advised me that I will be receiving a conventional oil change and quoted me $19.99. I was so relieved to hear that I wasn't being charged for things I didn't need and I had peace of mind knowing my Toyota was being cared for by Toyota specialist.
Once my vehicle was finished, I was advised during the checkout process of a few minor replacements for me to be aware of in the near future. By no means did I feel pressured or pushed by Broadway Toyota to take care of these replacements the very same day; like how Jiffy Lube made me feel.
Broadway Toyota, after my wonderful experience with you, I referred my friends and family to you. For me it's worth making the extra drive to your location because not only have you gained my trust, you've gained a loyal customer for years to come.
Toyota of Portland was a great experience. Things were clear all the way through. The sales person was helpful and informative. The paperwork was smooth and understandable. We love our new Prius.
It took a while for the staff to get to me, and the service and willingness to listen, and it all worked out, and I was kept informed about the charges, and I am glad things went well. Great work, Sincerely Ted
Just bought a 2016 Prius from Broadway Toyota with Ian Cour as our salesperson. Great experience all around: Ian guided us through the whole process and we were quite happy with the outcome -- and with our brand new Prius! Thanks to Ian for his personal style that made it an enjoyable afternoon and thanks to Dea in Financing who ensured that setting up payment was a painless process, as well.
I called the Toyota dealership after spending an hour at The Subaru lot unsatisfied. Within 10 minutes of my call I pulled up and the guy who I spoke with (Ken Scott) came out and met me. I told him what I was looking for and we walked over to the adjacent lot and immediately found the perfect car. I was scared that I wouldn t get qualified for the loan but I got it no problem and the wait time was incredibly short. Also during Covid they were taking precautionary measures which made me feel more comfortable. I think all in all I was there for three hours and drove away with my dream vehicle. I m super happy to be driving a Toyota again after the nightmare of buying two lemons from a small dealership in Milwaukee. I highly recommend these guys!
This review is for the service department only. This is the worst service dept. of any of the dealers in the area. There is no reason to make an appointment; they dont know what it means. Its not that the people here are rude, they are just always surprised that they are busy and seem to be consistently understaffed. Next time I need service Im going to a different dealer, even if I have to pay more.
Went to purchase a vehicle and they promised me one thing then offered something WAY different. They also really low balled my trade-in. I also told them before I arrived that I was under a time restraint due to having to travel to central Washington that night. When I realized we were VARY far apart I asked for my keys and tried to leave for over 10 minutes before I just had to get in my vehicle and close the door on the sales lady while she was talking. This was after telling her I had to leave numerous times. They also kept my Drivers license.
I plan on never going back to purchase or even service a vehicle from them again.
These guys are great! Bought a brand new Highlander from Ken Scott and Peter Meyers and they were very nice and helpful every step of the way. We had a great buying experience and definitely recommend you ask for them by name
The service is polite and good. I appreciate the courtesy shuttle. However, if a customer is told that he will be picked up at a certain time, then the shuttle should be punctual. The shuttle was a half hour late. I didn't want to send him away after he had driven over to get me. But I ended up late to a meeting as a result. I wanted to speak to someone about a question. Instead I ended up grabbing the car and hurrying back, question unresolved.
I don't think Toyota of Portland is a trustworthy dealership at all. My sales and finance experience was good, AND Ron and Richard in sales and finance were really helpful. However, I was sold the 'permaplate' product under the assumption that it is something that they would apply to my car. However, it was already there when I test drove the car, they did not inform me about that and sold perma-plate as a separate item. I called the manager, Mike Kahn, and asked for a refund, because I believe I should not be paying for something that was they already put on the car before I purchased it and classify it as a after-sale purchase. Mike refused to acknowledge that this was a mistake on their part, and he refused to give me a refund. I asked if he can do some service vouchers to rectify his mistake, he refused that as well.
Please work on making the buying experience more transparent.
Great service and great follow through, bought my new car here and also brought my sister in law and she bought a new prius! Easy purchase, great price, thanks guys!
I'd like to thank Steve (Service Operations Director) for setting up quick, painless, and free of charge replacement of a small rock chip protection film on my Subaru's side-view mirror. That little piece got scorched (melted) somehow and prior to talking to him I was being bounced between different dealerships and a 3rd party vendor from Texas for about a week, trying to find out who can do that easy fix for me. That was happening due to contract transfers, liability etc. and was quite an experience for me :). Steve was the that hero who was able to quickly slice that knot of problems - THANK YOU!!! We are considering adding a new car to our household, so now the chances are that is going to be Toyota. :) Thanks again!
After our tire pressure dropped dramatically on the way to the Oregon coast, we pulled into Toyota to have them look at it, as we have a brand new Highlander we bought in January. They told us it would be six hours, possibly longer if we used our warranty. We understand times are tough with Covid, but why buy a brand new vehicle from a dealership if they can't look at a tire quickly to let us know what the issue is? We ended up going to Les Schwab down the road and they fixed it in an hour.
I had a wonderful experience purchasing a used Camry today. Lin, Rob, Bennett, Max and Sara all helped to make the deal easy and quick. I highly recommend them for your next purchase!
Had a bad oil leak that was caused during last oil change. Had to have my Fj Cruiser towed in. Service department took full responsibility, paid for the tow truck and fixed the problem. WILL continue to have my car serviced with you and really appreciate the honestly. UPDATE, WENT TO CHECK MY OIL LEVEL A COUPLE DAYS LATER AND ALMOST NO OIL ON DIP STICK. THEY DID NOT ADD OIL AND BRING LEVEL BACK TO NORMAL. WON'T BE GOING BACK AGAIN. THAT IS A SIGN OF BAD WORKER WITH NO OVERSIGHT BY SHOP FOREMAN.
This is Maria and my son Angelo Fasulo. - Great place! Highly recommend it! Their service is outstanding. Joe was very kind, effective and just the nicest! He helped us get our service done this past visit and to take care of a minor problem with the car right away. Angie is wonderful too! Everyone at this shop is friendly and very helpful.
Toyota of Portland Service Department performed a pre-purchase inspection of a Toyota SUV I was considering purchasing from another (non-Toyota) dealership. After their inspection and informative & friendly discussions with several staff, I decided to not purchase the vehicle. I appreciate their help and, if I were to buy a Toyota, it ll likely be from their lot.
I called on 11/10/15 to order a replacement airbag inflator for my car since mine was recalled. I was told it would take 2 weeks to receive the part and I would be contacted when it arrived. I had not heard anything by 12/19/15 so I called to check on the status of the order. I was told they had no record of my order, they would look into it and call me back on 12/21/15; I never received this follow-up call. I took my business elsewhere and will have the recall service performed in less than 1 week. I was very disappointed by the service at this location and do not plan to return.
I had such a positive buying experience at Toyota of Portland thanks to Roman D. We needed to make a purchase during the pandemic which was not ideal timing. However, with Roman s help and flexibility we were able to safely purchase not one but two cars. The staff wore masks and gloves and practiced social distancing. Roman was super attentive and understanding. We were able to do the entire deal without having to go into the showroom and with very limited contact. And on top of everything, we were able to get the payments that were within our budget. Finally, we did not feel pressured or like we weren t in control of our transaction at all during the entire purchase.I m very grateful to Roman and Toyota of Portland for their assistance and hospitality.
Everything was fine. Ben identified an additional service that, even though I've always had my prius serviced at Broadway Toyota since I bought it, had never been done. It was taken care of with just a minor delay. Thanks!
After many times of coming in for service, our contact was still not properly inputted into the computer system. This, however, did not stop them from correcting the issue, in that they performed the service as per our original agreement. I was very pleased that the director and service department were understanding and made things right. While it is challenging to have to deal with it every time we come in, the human aspect of our experience has remained very positive. I m glad that they have such accommodating staff. We likely will use Kuni for our next purchase, but I would not hesitate to recommend them for Toyotas. And I would also make sure that all of the paperwork is correct before you leave the facility.
I had a terrible experience with the service department. They were dishonest with me when I went in for a recall fix. They claimed I needed maintenance done on my car that was already done recently by someone I trust.
This place is horrible. I bought a car and scheduled my first interim service and oil change here. They lost my first appointment, had a system issue and couldn't reschedule when I called back, and when I was finally able to get an appointment that they kept, what was supposed to be 60-90 minutes turned into 3 hours of waiting. When I asked the receptionist to check after 2 hours, the mechanic she needed to talk to was on lunch. An hour later my car finally came out. The mechanic shrugged me off, couldn't explain the delay and was unapologetic. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Brought my car in about a week ago for car maintance and for them to buff out the scratches that came with the car when I first bought it, I delivered the car and got it back the next day, it was raining and dark, so it was hard for me to see what was actually done to the car... The next day only seeing nothing much was done to the scratches in the back rear! I came from Tigard to the Broadway Toyota wasted my gas and time just for them to not even try their best to buff out the scratches... On top of that their young female employees had snobby attitudes and they didn't seem to know what they were even doing!
Broadway Toyota went the extra mile to efficiently courteously and expertly solve 3 problems in 8 hours. Dennis Wolfe in particular was delightful and really effective. I wish all my vendors were as wonderful as Broadway Toyota. Liz Duffett
Ken Scott and Nick N. We re awesome with helping me find the best choice and solution for me. Strongly recommend asking for these guys if you re unsure what you re looking for & wanting to know all your options!
We bought a 2019 RAV4 - XLE Premium trim with the Technology package. Amy offered us a price we couldn't refuse. Later on Renze showed us every detail in the car. He made sure I had a chance to test every button and feature, while checking in to make sure he answered all of my questions. During my test drive he was pushing the different drive modes to demonstrate the different driving experiences, and he was explaining safety features as notifications came on.
Overall, Renze was patient, thorough, knowledgable, friendly, and most importantly he didn't give me any BS. We are very happy with our new car and with our experience at Toyota of Portland.
Very satisfied and many thanks to Dan the Service manager, and I think service person, named Ian, did a fabulous job o getting My car checked out. Thank you Dan for allowing us to have our Car reinspected.
I asked to see if I could see the interior of a car and the staff member simply said no, sorry , with no attempt to help me further. Guess I can t buy a Toyota. Oh well!
I made on online inquiry. Bode called me right after and I had a car by the end of the day. Bode is professional, friendly and provided great service as well as good conversation. Everyone wore masks. I got the vehicle I wanted , the price I wanted and a great interest rate. I highly recommend contacting Bode at this dealer for a great experience.
Very happy with the outcome regarding the service to our Camry! Ben was super helpful (and patient) in understanding our issue and then working with the Toyota Customer Service Center to resolve a problem with our moon roof.
Definitely will recommend to others or return for any service needs we may have.
Is there anything under 1 star? I do not know how someone could give then a 5 star review. First of all, if you want to be treated as a person try any other dealership but this one. This is the worst place. As I was reading through many other comments. They treat customers as a number, lying to what they actually offer. For example, when I asked about the toyota care (all the other dealerships give them for free at that time with the Camry) they told us that their toyota care is better and they have to charge $5,000 more above the price. Every time I tried to ask an explanation of why the price is different of what is advertised they just keep adding things, first the license cost, then the registration. But when doing the math, the numbers did not matched, they just keep saying that in Portland registration is more expensive than the other city where I am residing so that is why the price difference. Overall, if you have heard that salespeople are sharks, they push your limits just to sell. Here is the perfect place. And I do not want to make that distinction to all salesman. I know great salespeople who care about their customers, they do not care about closing but they look to create a relationship with their customer.
