Bridal Beginnings Magazine Review

I chose Bridal Beginnings as my first wedding dress shopping experience because I knew they had a wide variety of dresses, and I wasn't sure what style/designer I would like. I went on a Friday afternoon, and the store was mostly empty.

My consultant, Sarah, was super friendly and accommodating. She pulled over 10 dresses for me during my 2 hours at the shop, and helped me narrow down what I was really looking for in a dress. Even though I didn't buy anything (and she knew that up front), Sarah was quick to help me in and out of the dresses, pin and clamp me in, and take numerous photos. She is a hard worker, and offered opinions without being pushy. I did not feel rushed at all. She was extremely helpful and it was a positive experience. I would highly recommend them and would definitely go back!

I had an amazing experience at Bridal Beginning . Lisa was my Bridal Consultant and she had such insight into what I was looking for. Her first pick ended up being the dress!
She was patient and actually pulled about 10 more dresses that just confirmed my dress. I would recommend Bridal Beginning and most of all Lisa!

I recently visited Bridal Beginning for my wedding dress. I had zero idea what I wanted but with the help of Laurena, I found my dream dress! The whole process was smooth and fun. Everyone was so friendly. Laurena never made me feel bad about my budget or if I was not feeling a dress. She asked if I would be willing to try on dresses that were a little over my budget, but never made me feel like I needed to. I will be recommending Laurena and Bridal Beginning to all of my friends/family!

Had an absolutely wonderful experience picking out my dress here. I had a low budget and had been treated poorly at other salons because of it. The consultants here do not work on commission so were extraordinarily helpful to me despite having limited funds. I really feel like they channeled my dream perfectly. I had tried on over 50 dresses at 6 different salons before finding the perfect dress. My bridesmaid even got her bridal dress here the year before. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I ve gone to many places trying to find the dress . This place exceeded my expectations by far. The whole experience was amazing. The consultants were top notch, the dress selections were out of this world. And I will send everyone I know here.

I worked with Leslie, and she was absolutely wonderful. My appointment went long, but I never felt rushed. She listened to my style preferences, and worked with me to find a perfect dress in my tight budget.

Found my Hayley Paige wedding dress here! The lady helping me, Dorothy, was respectful of my budget and made me feel very comfortable when trying on dresses. Even after I found the dream dress, she still helped me look at a couple others just to be sure I found the right one. I'm so happy I went here!

Best wedding dress shopping experience!!! Dorothy helped me find my wedding dress & she found me something even better than I imagined. I cannot wait to wear my dress. She knew when to say her opinions and offer advice. She knew when to stay quiet and observe our reactions. She knew what accessories and veil to put me in to complete each dress. Sara did a fantastic job with helping us pick out MOH and bridesmaids dresses. She too had great amount of knowledge & valuable experience. All staff is helpful, cheerful and supportive. I would highly recommend Bridal Beginning to any bride-to-be.

The moment I saw Lazaro style 3662, I knew it was the one. As soon as I found out Bridal Beginning sold Lazaro, I called about the dress. They didn t have it but made sure they could get me a sample. When I went for my appointment I was confident that the dress was the one, but scared that I may not be the one for the dress. As a full figured woman, I was very concerned that the dress could be too revealing on me & that I wouldn t do it justice. At that time, I hadn t found any women who looked like me that had worn the dress. Dorothy told me that they knew this dress would love me as much as I loved it. My mom is a great judge of character & so I knew I could trust her when she said they know what they re doing. Mother is always right. Saida was an angel to me during the alteration process. She always reassured me & helped me design a custom top for more coverage and picked the perfect belt to give my waist definition. I m forever grateful to you, Saida. Thank you for making me fall in love all over again.

I had an appointment here to try on wedding gowns even though I was 99% sure I'd already found my dress. My consultant was Lisa and she was very understanding and helpful. I was upfront with her about having found another dress and trying to make sure there wasn't a better one out there. She brought in dress after dress and definitely listened to what I was looking for. I guess my biggest complaints were that she left me in each dress while she went to fetch others (even the one that I said was making me itchy) and that the slip they ask you to wear is dirty and gross. She did allow me to not wear the slip but even then I was left standing in my bra and panties in front of my mom and cousin. Luckily I'm comfortable with them but it certainly would have been awkward if other people had been there. Overall it was just an okay experience. They offered to give me a $60 gift card to reduce the cost of my dress since the sale price couldn't be lowered but I don't think we'll be going back to purchase a dress from here. If this had been the first place I went to try on dresses it definitely would have set poor expectations for future shopping trips.

Kristen was the absolute best consultant! I told her exactly what I wanted, and she was able to help find me my dream dress. She made the whole experience magically and I couldn t have asked for better help

Was so excited to get my dress from here because I knew so many people who loved theirs. Unfortunately, 2 months after getting my dress, my fiance called off the wedding. So in addition to losing a deposit for the venue, I also was cut no break by Bridal Beginnings. They said it happens all the time. Oh how nice... so you are constantly kicking newly dumped girls when they are down at one of the most traumatizing/devastating times in their lives?? I offered for them to keep my deposit (over 50%) and to have the dress just cancelled. Apparently that is against policy and "no company does that". Thanks Bridal Beginnings for making my nightmare worse. Will NEVER recommend anyone to go here!! Bridal boutiques are a dime a dozen.

I really enjoyed my experience at Bridal Beginnings. The woman I worked with (Lisa) was very helpful and really valued my opinions and ideas. I found my dream dress there and would highly recommend going there. I felt comfortable and valued as a customer.

Literally the worst experience I have ever had. Better service at McDonalds. They don't care about you as a bride whatsoever.

My experience at Bridal Beginnings was amazing. I believe it was my 3rd stop. I was glad that I knew more of what I wanted when I arrived. Otherwise, the shoppe is like a candy store- I would have never known what to try first. Marisa, my consultant, was exceptional. She was patient, not pushy. She worked miracles. I was able to find a perfect gown after my third trip. I would recommend Marisa to anyone. She is the reason I bought my gown.

I ordered an Adriana Papell bridesmaid dress here and when it arrived I realized that the fit was too big, the color was completely different and overall was dissatisfied. I tried to rectify the situation with the store directly--both with the buyer and the person who assisted the bridal party--but they said they could not help. They actually refused to take it back because they already had the same size dress in the store. To add, each one of the bridesmaids dress colors arrived COMPLETELY different from what we swatched which is unfortunate as we are all variating muted tones and were extremely mindful of selecting the right shades. Now the shades really aren't even cohesive. I don't recommend shopping here due to the fact that I was sold something at a size too big (which makes altering more expensive) and a color completely different than what arrived. They also refused to make it right. I have since had to purchase a NEW dress since they will not help me.

Amazing service with the best selection in the city!

Bridal Beginning was my first stop on my wedding dress hunt. They were very accommodating when scheduling an appointment. When I arrived they took a little while to get to us, but they did come out an apologize for the wait. The girl I got was very good at listening to what I liked and pulling dresses. We tried on several dresses and found one I would have been happy with by the end of the night. I told the attendant that I had a few more shops to visit but would like the information on the gown so that I could return to buy if I wanted to in the end. I could tell she was slightly annoyed by not making the sale that night, but I was not bothered. I would def add this to the list of places to visit. You may find your dress here in the end! In the end, I didn't get my dress here, but it was a fun appointment.

I had an amazing experience at Bridal Beginning! I believe my consultant's name was Sara - she was fantastic! Super nice, bubbly, and very clearly paid attention to what I was looking for. I tried on 6 dresses and really liked them all, but one stood out - and it was right on budget! Great selection of dresses, very personal feel, cute shop. Highly recommend!!

I had a really positive experience with Bridal Beginnings. they were very patient as I took a month and a half of shopping around before I found one I loved (from them). Never felt pressure or anything. Would highly recommend!

Thanks BB and Dorothy for making my once-in-a-lifetime purchase such a wonderful experience!!Their selection is amazing and they have the latest gowns. I went to two different places before this and everything seemed so cheesy and drab. They put me in on short notice and were extremely welcoming even though I called that day. I went for a trunk show and it was slightly crowded, but it still felt personal and organized. Secondly, I have nothing but the best things to say about my consultant Dorothy. My mom couldn't be there because she lives out of town and Dorothy made everything perfect and she was so "motherly"!!! I ended up with my dream gown and I am SO happy I gave my business to BC.

I went to Bridal Beginning after traveling to Pittsburgh (my hometown) from Grand Rapids, MI. I had heard great reviews and many designers I liked were at Bridal Beginning. I also had bridesmaid that had also traveled to help me pick out a dress for my big day. I had Dorothy as my Dress Advisor and she was one of the rudest people I have ever met. She didn't ask my budget, and kept bringing me $5k plus dresses. Not only that, but when I would try on a dress, she would tell me it didn't look like I liked it and that I shouldn't show my family/friends because its not the one. I wanted to see what my family and friends liked and didn't like to help my decision for such a big and important event in my life. She was slow at pulling out dresses, but would claim she had one and ask me to come back to the dressing room, where I sat by myself while she wandered around the store and picked out dresses. It didn't ever seem like she put any thought into what dresses she was showing me. My bridesmaids and family also agreed she was rude and sour. She really put a damper on what should have been an amazing morning. Luckily, my next appointment at Blanc de Blanc was incredible, and got my spirits up. I am writing this review purely on Dorothy, as others in the store seemed like they were having a GREAT experience. I also have friends whose experiences were incredibly positive.

I didn t buy my wedding dress here but I almost did and trying on two insanely amazing Berta dresses at Bridal Beginning led to my trip to NYC where I found my Berta wedding dress.
Meanwhile it was wonderful being able to search the racks in the beginning and then later have more dresses brought to me. The help at Bridal Beginning was great.

My appointment when choosing my dress went great, vast selection and my consultant was friendly, which is the only reason why I'm giving this review 2 stars. However, when I received my dress in I immediately noticed that the print was crooked. It's a fitted dress, so it's much more noticeable than something that flows and is light. When I brought it up to the consultant she said that it would all lay perfectly once it was steamed and brushed it off (which tells me that she clearly noticed it too). Me, not knowing anything about wedding dresses, took her word for it, and signed the dress out without writing my comments down. Now that I have the dress home, I put it on for my seamstress and it's all I see; my seamstress noticed it as well without me saying anything. The print is not a little crooked either, it's TWO inches off. And I have satin buttons going down the entire back of the length of the dress and it's even more noticeable there. When spending $3000 on a dress, you expect it to be perfect and not have to worry about these things, especially after bringing it up to the bridal consultant. Such a shame. Don't buy an Allure Couture gown and I would probably go elsewhere for a dress.

As an update - after posting this review Bridal Beginning called me shortly after to resolve this issue. They tried fixing my dress with their seamstress but it turned out to be too much work. Lisa, the alterations manager, found that the designer had a brand new dress in stock in my size, so they ordered this for me and had it into the store the next week. Lisa was very professional and even reimbursed me for the alterations of the other dress that my seamstress charged me. I'm updating my review to reflect 4 stars solely because of the hassle and that it could have all been avoided on the front end. Thanks Lisa for all of your help!

I said yes to the dress this weekend at Bridal Beginnings! I had the pleasure of working with Laurena, and she WAS AMAZING! I found something I liked about each dress she picked out for me And when I was hesitant to try on a dress I didn t believe was my style she encouraged me to do so! I am SO happy I listened to her! I said Yes to a dress that I would have never picked out! And am so thankful to have had her expertise in finding me the most perfect dress! The boutique also did an amazing job making it feel clean and safe during this pandemic.

(I had to choose 1 star, they deserved zero) Just visited this store for my sister's wedding dress. All I can say is that we were appalled by the horrible service. For starters we were put in a room where she had to dress and undress in front of everyone she brought and wear a robe that who knows how many other women in their underwear have worn. The room was absolutely filthy, it looked like it hadn't been swept in months. Not to mention our sales woman, Dorothy who was SO outrageously inappropriate, and RUDE. Not only did she make my sister feel uncomfortable, she managed to belittle and insult her all within our 10 minutes of being there. Her reaction to the dress style she liked, budget and likes/dislikes was appalling. She treated us like we were FAR beneath her and we surely did not appreciate it. I would HIGHLY suggest you don't buy from them!

The dresses in this place are absolutely STUNNING. Melissa, who helped us out, was an absolute dream to work with. She really took the time to listen to what I was looking for, and brought in a few surprises.

I went to two bridal shops for my dress. The first one was sorelle where they were polite and accommodating. Second was bridal beginnings. When I walked in, I told the sales rep I was open to anything because I haven't found a dress I liked yet. This seemed to really annoy her. She huffed and puffed the rest of the appointment. When I was changing with her she did not try to ask me questions or anything. Instead, I felt like I was an inconvenience to her and everyone in the store. I brought my bridal party with me and I wanted to show them. Instead of offering to let me show them in the showcase room, she had them all come back to the dirty room in the back for them to see.

I found the dress I loved. And if I didn't love it there is no way I would order it from here and give this shop business.

Now when it came to ordering the dress: I insisted she order me the 4 and see if it could come in a petite. I am five one and 115 pounds and wear a size zero pants but I am on the bustier side. The sales rep said I am no smaller than a size 6. Well I got my dress and I am drowning in it like I thought I would be. It's a corset fit, so the corset is basically touching and it looks like a straight back tied strong because it has to be pulled so tight.

To conclude,
Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. I have heard stories like mine from several brides. Should've listened to my gut the second I got there. This place treats you like second priority when u are spending BIG BIG MONEY THERE!

I didn't realize I was a bridezilla until I started dress shopping... I could not have been more picky about every single tiny detail! I cannot recommend Bridal Beginning enough, but specifically because of Emily! The rest of the team was also amazing, but I swear Emily would have let me try every single dress in the store if that's what it took. She was so patient, had the best suggestions, and consoled me while I whined about every wedding detail that I was stressed about! Every gown was absolutely stunning, which is what made the decision so difficult! You will not be disappointed with your visit, and will be even more thrilled with Emily's expertise, professionalism, and kindness!

I want to start out by saying that if you're given the opportunity to pick your consultant, ask for Kristen. She is AMAZING. She was so professional, but also extremely kind and a blast to work with. My mom, sister, and I could not have been more pleased with our experience. I was ecstatic when I walked in and dresses based on my wish list were already pulled and ready for me. I cannot recommend this place enough. You can tell that everyone we encountered truly enjoyed what they do, and they are so good at it. Thank you all so much, and thank you Kristen for helping me say yes!

Yesterday I found my wedding dress at Bridal Beginning and the experience was everything I dreamed of and more! I was helped by Sarah and she made the entire experience so much fun and helped me find my dream dress. I can t thank her enough!

Sam was absolutely wonderful and picked out so many amazing dresses for me. it was a great experience all around.

My first experience at Bridal Beginnings was actually good. I found a dress I loved but wanted to explore more places. I explored and still loved the first dress I found at Bridal Beginnings. I went back 2 weeks later and said "yes to the dress!" Immediately following, the woman that was helping me told me that they can no longer order that dress in any different sizes (would have been nice if they knew that before I came back the second time). The seamstress had to come in and see if she could make it work (since it was too small). She could, but it was $1600 on top of the $2600 dress. I left in tears until the woman that helped me called to tell me that they couldn't order the dress at all and I would be getting the rack dress. She then proceeded to tell me that she would call me back with a new cost since I would be getting a dress that was already tried on by so many others (but I loved it and was willing to see what the discounted dress came to). After waiting 5 days for a phone call and nothing, I called her. She acted like she had no idea what I was calling for and told me that she thought I left there a week proir, with a cost already in mind. She then told me that they don't give discounts on any dresses (only certain people). I'm not sure why she told me in the first place that she would get a new cost for me when she KNEW that they didn't give discounts. I was very disappointed in this place and so glad I didn't get my dress from there. I ended up getting my dress elsewhere and love it so much more and my experience was so much better.

I came to Bridal Beginning three times before finally purchasing my dress here. I chose to come here because of the huge selection of dresses and designers they have, it truly is amazing! My first appointment I scheduled to try on a specific dress. Dorothy, my consultant, was pretty pushy towards buying that dress even though I wasn't convinced it was the one after trying it on. She didn't really listen when I didn't like a dress, so kept pulling similar dresses that I didn't like. I went home empty handed, but made another appointment with a different consultant. Sara was my consultant the second time, and she was amazing! She pulled so many dresses for me, and I truly felt like she was listening to what I liked and didn't like. She also was not pushy at all when I said I wanted to go home and think about it. When I returned a few weeks later to buy the dress, she kept coming to check up on me and ask if there was anything else she could do! I would've given the shop 3/5 stars, but Sara deserves 5/5! I would recommend coming here and requesting her.

I found exactly what I wanted within an hour. The girls were caring and attentive.

I got my wedding dress and all of my bridesmaids dresses from Bridal Beginning and I can t say enough amazing things about the salon and their staff! I actually had two appointments there before I finally picked out my dress and both times, my consultants were wonderful and so patient. You can tell they really care about their brides and want you to have a have a memorable experience and leave happy. Shopping for my bridesmaids dresses went just as well! They helped me pick out different colors and styles for my bridesmaids and the look turned out amazing. If you are in the Pittsburgh area, you MUST go to Bridal Beginning and see their beautiful selection and super sweet staff.

Marissa was a great consultant! My daughter wasn't exactly sure what type of dress she wanted, and Marissa pulled several styles. With her help she found the perfect dress. The staff was kind, and the whole boutique keeps everyone feeling safe and comfortable during these uncertain times.

Everything started out really well, but when it came to the alterations, it was the worst experience I could have imagined. I would highly suggest going elsewhere after you buy a dress here. I paid $700 for alterations which included the bustle, letting it out a bit, adjusting some lace, and a hem...which would have been so much cheaper anywhere else. One thing I was charged for was their mistake. After they altered the dress, the fabric had an odd wrinkle in it so they charged me to fix it, even though it wasn't there before they made the first alteration. They made so many mistakes and made me come in time after time after time for adjustments. They added and removed things that we never talked about and charged me for things that I already paid for. The hem on one side of my dress was six inches longer than the other side....so I had to come back. When I asked, they promised me that I did not need to make an appointment in advance, because there would be pletny of times to make one at my next fitting. Then at that next fitting they said the only time I could come in was in the middle of the day when I would have to miss work. They made the bust area look so pointy I felt like barbie, so I had to fix that. And after I had paid for something multiple times to be fixed (so they couldn't charge me to fix the mistake any more), they tried to push the dress off on me by saying "Oh you look perfect, there's no need to alter anything else" even though it was very clear they just didn't want to do more work without getting money for it. I am never pushy and I wasn't in this circumstance either. After paying $700, I felt like I was being too nice about the issues, but I let it go because I didn't feel like arguing. The only reason this place got 2 stars instead of 1 is due to the fact that they carry a good selection of dresses.

Found the dress I had been coveting for over a year at Bridal Beginning last weekend. Emily was our consultant and she was fabulous. She made sure I tried on different types of dresses to make sure I found the perfect dress and hand-picked some beautiful options for me. She made trying on dresses fun! I can't recommend Bridal Beginning enough. The dresses are amazing and they really have something for everyone - from a style perspective and at different price points. Everyone is so friendly and the shop is gorgeous. If you're shopping for a gown, look no further - this is the best shop in the city!

The women that run the place are pretentious, and entitled. They and their clients are continuously consuming all parking in the area.. They have no care for any other businesses. The other people are always asking them to comply but they refuse. Don't go. Do not patron this business.

I am a very picky person for the smallest things. So choosing the one and only wedding dress was the most difficult decision I ever had to make. I went to 6 different salons and tried more than 125 dresses, after that I stopped counting..lol.
The last Salon I visited was Bridal Beginning and thats where I found "The Dress" with the help of the best consultant ever- Marissa! She took my quest as a challenge and made me try every dresses that I was envisioning based on the Pinterest board I showed her. She knew my taste and was very helpful in pulling off all the dresses possible for me and finally I found the one I was looking for.
I got a Milla Nova California Dreaming and paired it with a custom made cape. The dress was stunning and all the guests at the wedding cannot stop raving about it.

This was my first time wedding dress shopping and I was NOT expecting to say yes to anything but Sara was so amazing at picking dresses out and helping, I ended up saying yes to the dress at a great price! I had such a wonderful experience and again Sara should get 10 stars for how amazing she is at her job! I highly recommend!!!!

They don t even steam your bridesmaid dress for you. I d recommend trying on the dress there and then ordering it online cheaper, because I don t see any benefit at all to buying it at the store.

80% of my brides get their wedding dress at Bridal Beginning, and it's no surprise why - they are the best in Pittsburgh! The selection is amazing, and they style everyone to look simply stunning on their wedding day!

Best place to get a dress. Everyone at the store is so friendly an helpful. No one is ever pushy and they will do whatever they can to make this the best possible experience for you. I had issues with another bridal store screwing up my dress order a few months before the wedding (they had it ordered in the wrong color). Three months before the wedding and I didn t have a dress. Bridal beginning fit me in right away and we re able to order me a dress that I loved that night. It arrived at the store in less than three weeks. They are the best!!!

The staff was very helpful and the selection was great, but the prices were high and the facility is a little outdated.

Emily was amazing to work with! She listened to what my wishes for a wedding dress were she was patient, accommodating and really genuine! The entire staff was very friendly and made you feel comfortable. I love the dress I picked and would absolutely recommend this shop to any bride to be.

Kristen is delightful and wonderful to work with. She knows how to do her job and do it well. We had an amazing experience and she made picking out dresses less stressful than we anticipated. I will absolutely recommend this business!

I had a very positive experience at Bridal Beginning. The staff (particularly Sara) were very helpful and patient in helping me pick out a dress and I was very happy with my selection. My issue is really with the cost of the alterations. I had very, basic alterations done on the dress and the total cost came to more than $700. This is way too expensive for basic alterations that have to be made on virtually all wedding dresses.

I had an incredible experience at Bridal Beginning with Kristen. Kristen paid close attention to my needs and the preferences of my family. Kristen demonstrated professionalism and extensive knowledge of the bridal selection, fitting, and ordering processes. She was immensely complimentary, always willing to provide honest yet supportive opinions, and never hovered. Future brides should request to work with her for a delightful wedding dress experience.

I had such a wonderful experience here! I live in CA and had probably tried on over 50 dresses in CA before going to Bridal Beginning. I'm VERY picky when it comes to clothes/shoes, etc., and I figured it would take a long time for me to find a dress I loved. With all of the "fancy" designer stores we have in CA, I never expected to find "the dress" in Pittsburgh, but I wanted to try on some dresses in my hometown so that my mom and sister could be involved in the process. Marisa was so wonderful and really listened to me/got my style. She helped me find the perfect dress! I also used their alteration services. Saida was awesome to work with! My dress fit like a glove! She also was able to work around my schedule, as I live in CA and had limited availability to come for my fittings. I cannot thank everyone at Bridal Beginning enough! My dress was perfect and I received so many compliments!

This store practices pressure and impulse purchase sales techniques. A dress I was pressured into a rush order (200$ fee) was available at another store in West Virginia with no fee and no pressure. My attendant was very sweet but I could tell she was caught in the middle of her manager/owner trying to make a sale and take advantage of a customer. I ve given 2 stars only for the service of the women helping me, but I would never recommend this store based on their sales practices. Don t buy a dress because someone won t let you sleep on a decision this dress is the most expensive dress you ll ever buy (maybe lol) so dont let anyone pressure you.

I went into Bridal Beginning with my bridesmaids, as well as my mom and aunt. I had a bad experience at another salon, so I was hesitant about what to expect from the day. I was so incredibly pleased with the service I received, as well as the dress I chose! Sam was my consultant, and she was absolutely fabulous! She took into consideration all of the different things I was looking for, and brought out tons and tons of dresses that fit the bill, as well as some others that she thought I might like to see. She was so attentive to everything, and went well above and beyond what I expected. Not only did she help me choose the perfect dress, but she also helped my bridesmaids choose dresses, as well. I couldn't be happier!

We found my sister's wedding dress today. The experience was good. The ladies were nice. Their shop is very pretty!

Sara was very helpful in selecting dresses. The bride wanted different, coordinating styles for our bridal party & Sara did a great job guiding us through the selection process because we were lost on how to make it look cohesive. The woman (short, dark hair, I can't remember her name) who sized me & a few other bridesmaids was wonderful, very easy to talk to & made us feel very comfortable (considering you have to be in your underwear in front of a stranger!) The only downside is the parking lot which isn't the fault of the staff whatsoever.

I had an appointment at Bridal Beginning to find my wedding dress and I had an amazing experience, I also said yes to the dress! My consultant Marissa was so sweet and definitely listened to what type of dress I was looking for. It only took 30 minutes and 6 dresses to find the perfect one for me. Marissa made the buying of a wedding dress such an easy and stress free process, I am so thankful to her and Bridal Beginning for leading me to my dream wedding dress! I highly recommend this bridal salon.

I had such an amazing experience from start to finish at bridal beginning! The staff there is so amazing, friendly and helpful! I purchased my bridal gown, bridal accessories, and bridesmaids dresses here! Each time I came there I was greeted with a smile and helped right away! I got my alterations done here as well and she was AMAZING! She did everything I wanted and more, it fit perfectly when she was done! :) I highly recommend going to this bridal shop for all your bridal needs!

We absolutely would recommend this bridal store. My daughter wanted a unique dress that was not in the store.. They got the dress in so my daughter could try it on. We ended up ordering the dress, headband and veil. Came in on time just like their estimate said. Absolutely zero issues. Dress it gorgeous..from Badgley Mischka.

My experience here was a nightmare. I had done a lot of research online and had a pretty good idea of what I wanted, and I had also shopped for gowns at a few other stores. I was very specific in my description of what I wanted and what I didn't want. My consultant, Caroline, ignored this and just brought me dress after dress, many of which were nothing like I described. I felt like she thought I was her Barbie doll. She also tried to convince me that their seamstress could take a mermaid dress and turn it into a ball gown. Then she brought me an all-tulle dress (I had stated that I did not want any tulle or lace) and made me try it on AND walk to the front of the front of the store to show everyone ("because you look like Cinderella!"). All of my polite requests to end the appointment and leave were ignored. I ended up being there for over 3 hours, well after I had already decided that nothing was right for me.

well this experience started off okay. I found a dress I thought I loved. I did love the sample. My consultant (Lisa) was wonderful and helped me find a great dress. The sample was amazing. I was talked out of the Champaign color by Lisa and my mom because both thought diamond white was "more bridal". For a girl who doesn't wear dresses and doesn't wear white, I should have followed my heart. The real horror happened when I got the dress, it fit terribly and the first seamstress said that's it we can't do anything; they then brought in another seamstress and 700 dollars later I had an even worse fitting dress. I still haven't picked my wedding album because I cry when I look at how that dress looked on me. I showed up the Thursday before my wedding and they still didn't have all the alterations done. They had to sew back on the decals, etc. It had seams in it that weren't there before. every time I went there something that was supposed to be altered wasn't done. I actually considered purchasing the sample because it just looked better.

I wish I would have went with my gut and used a seamstress I know personally, but I figured they do this everyday and wanted my dress to be perfect. I picked this dress because it held my large bust in and covered it. My seamstress, for some reason tucked the bust down and in all my pictures my boobs are sticking out. I am self conscious about my size in general let alone my bust and now every time I see my wedding pictures I feel embarrassed. I didn't feel pretty that day and yet to this day when I look at me in the sample I feel like I look beautiful. No hair done, no make up, but on the day when I was supposed to shine they just took advantage. Maybe purchase a dress there but take it elsewhere , they charge top dollar and not only do they not deliver, they actually aren't prepared at all.

My first experience with Bridal Beginning was as a bridesmaid for one of my friends who bought her dress at the store. They treated her with such care and gave us top notch customer service that I didn't think twice when it came to my turn to look for a dress.

The staff is very easy to work with and helped me to find a dress on my very first visit! I think they had me in and out of at least 15 dresses within two hours - efficient, thorough, and fun.

I also cannot thank them enough for staffing amazing seamstresses to alter my dress perfectly - Saida did an incredible job and was simply a joy to work with!

For my first time shopping for my wedding dress, Bridal Beginning was a pleasant experience. I'm from DC but my fiance's family is from Pittsburgh and I know a few who happily got their dresses at Bridal Beginning and they recommended me! They have a great selection, though a lot of them were out of my budget ($1500) which I was expecting. We were about 10 minutes late for our 10am appt coming from the North hills, and then we waited about 15 minutes for our consultant. Everyone was pleasant and my consultant had me try on so many different styles which was really helpful as a first time shopper and I walked out knowing exactly which style I wanted! However I actually had an even more amazing experience the next day with Blanc de Blanc Bridal in Pittsburgh and bought my dress from there instead. Either way, I recommend checking out both! Bridal Beginning has a much larger selection, but my experience at Blanc de Blanc was amazing.

I was hesitant at first because there are so many dresses that are not even close to my style here. BUT every single dress my consultant brought me, I would have purchased. The service was so great. I went to a more eclectic boutique in DC and, while the store was nicer and the dresses were all my style, the experience was nowhere near as helpful and successful. Would recommend (with an open mind).

I cannot say enough good things about my consultant, Sara! She really helped me feel like I had seen everything I needed to see in order to make a decision. The dress she pulled for me is nowhere near anything I expected to buy but it was perfect, and came in right at my budget. There were three other brides at the same time as me but it never felt crowded or rushed. My family and I had a great time!

I went in January for my first time bridal dress shopping. My family and I have used bridal beginning for over 10 years with my sisters wedding and bridesmaid dresses. MOB dress and now mine.

My first experience with them was great. My consultant nailed the dress, I left elated.

My dress came in early, I tried it on and it was huge. I had expressed concern about the size ordered at the original appointment (I'm typically a 4 and they were recommending a 10) but after much discussion I followed the opinion of the professional. So when I tried it on and it completely hung off my entire body, my consultant assured me that with a little altering it would be perfect. I couldn t envision this but what are you gonna do. My consultant also told me not to use their usual seamstress because she was expensive and mean . So I took it to be altered and it wasn t great. I called bridal beginning after picking up my still oversized dress and asked to come in and have it looked at so we could see where to go from here. The manager didn t accept this idea and instead referred me to a different seamstress.
She did a good job but my dress still didn t fit perfectly and now the low cut back had been brought up a good bit. I emailed the manager with my concerns and the response was unreal. She was completely nasty. I don t know that she or anyone else proofread her emails but they were so unprofessional and mean. She went on blaming me for the choice of size. Telling me that my bust is just too big for the rest of my body (I m a 34c) and then proceeding to call me cheap. At no point in any of our conversations did we discuss a budget, and at no point had I asked them for anything. Not a discount. Not a free dress. And I did not ask them to cover the alterations, which in my opinion was the right thing to do. After the nasty email, I let her know how rude and insulting she was. This clearly triggered a red flag that she had screwed up and at this point she offered to get me a new dress in the size of my choice. I was however getting married in Las Vegas the week the dress was expected in. Therefor I declined the offer not wanting to stress about wether it would be in on time and be able to be altered that quickly. They still have never apologized for how rude they were and for their mistake in choosing the size and the cash for both alterations came out of my pocket.

I would never recommend this shop to anyone after the email I received from the manager and after their lack of resolving any issue. I hope brides in the future don t end up with the dress stress I went through because of this unprofessional and rude business.

This store set the expectation of what a Bridal Experience is supposed to be. I have been to multiple stores and tried on over 100 dresses in 3 States. I had the opportunity to talk to multiple consultants at Bridal Beginning and they were all so incredibly nice and helpful.

I can say with confidence I know the difference between a good and not so good store... this store was clean, well-maintained, and fully comprehensive in regards to a positive experience and well-staffed with educated and friendly consultants.

Through all of the many many stores and places I have seen the bad, trust me! This store is great. I also know many women who have found the perfect dress here per the solid selection they offer. I would highly recommend this store.

I have been here a couple of different times for different reasons, and I can't say I'm every thrilled the service. They didn't even treat the bride that nicely. They are kind of rude. They do have a ton of dresses.

From the moment I walked in the door, the staff were cheerful and so helpful. My consultant Lisa was absolutely fantastic to work with. She made sure to bring me dresses within my price range (even if my friends begged her to bring me pricier ones) and she led me down the road to my dream wedding dress. Their selection is incredible and so are their prices if you're willing to go with an in-store or past season model! I would recommend going here to any bride! It was a stress-free and totally enjoyable experience.

Bridal Beginning provided my daughter with one of the best days of her life. The staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. This place is top notch.

My wife called and said she had a thousand dollar budget and the lady told her on the phone they might have one dress to show her and was very rude and snotty. She went eleswhere after being treated this way.

Poor customer service - period. Our bridesmaids dresses were ordered here. When I went in to pickup the dress, an older customer service representative assisted with getting the dress and trying it on. First, the dress was missing the eye hook to zip it up; she didn't care about that. Then when putting it on, the woman insulted me by saying it is a two person job and rolled her eyes in a way that was intended to be mean and judgemental. She wouldn't look at me and wasn't supportive or positive. I was severely disappointed for a shop that serves women to be body shaming and promoting negative body imagery. She doesn't know me and to make judgements so obvious is beyond disappointing. If it wasn't already paid for; I would have walked out the door - I don't support places that allow the continuation of such negative female imagery that already plagues our society. There's too many other places that support positive body imagery to spend money at such a place.

The staff here are absolutley amazing! The were patient and kind. The consultant I had recommended something I never thought I would like and that is the one I chose!

I had such an amazing experience at this store! I went for my bridesmaids dresses and it was such a fun experience! Laurena selected great options based on my preferences and was so patient and helpful while we found the perfect dresses for my girls! With COVID restrictions, they still gave us the dress shopping experience while also making us feel safe! I would highly recommend this store for any of your bridal needs!
