Everyone at Bowditch is awesome! We have bought our last 4 vehicles from them and everyone there is amazing! No pressure, no gimmicks!! Shout out to the Service team and Al who always looks out for me! Takes care of my cars and trucks and goes above and beyond each time! Thank you all! Proud to be a part of the Bowditch family!!
Although I like my new Ford Edge, the buying experience was not the best. I went into the dealership having done my research and knowing I wanted a new car in order to compensate for my negative equity. I wasted a whole day with well meaning salespeople trying to qualify me for used cars. After going back the 2nd day, I once again told them I wanted a NEW car and everything went smooth from there. I couldn't have been clearly in my intent and felt as though I was being given the runaround. The sales team has been trying to make up for my frustration, but I really expected more since I went to them because they are listed on my job's employee discount list. I still feel that something else should be done to compensate me for my time wasted. Hopefully management will read this and respond back.
Service center is extremely slow. Service writers are not very personable. Spent 40 minutes waiting for my truck to be backed out of the shop after leaving it for over 6 hours. Was the last time I'll be going to bowditch ford or their quicklane.
Perfect experience. From the service adviser, to the cashier and especially Harold the shuttle driver, everyone was courteous and knowledgeable. Couldn't be more pleased with Bowditch.
Purchased 2017 F-250 from Bowditch in April of 2018 , when showed to me it was dirty was told it was used to clear parking lot of snow because I had asked why a bracket was mounted to dash . When I took delivery of vehicle was still dirty. Went ahead and took and cleaned it myself . Driving it home was smudges on windshield, cleaned the truck and windshield several times , windshield was scratched took it back for service , told they would take care of issues.
Highly recommend shopping elsewhere . Will not give them anymore of my support, sad for this is third truck I have gotten from them !!!
This inspection was awful. It was free but cost me 32.00 for windshield wipers i did not need had them cked before the inspec. Should send me a refund ck. Nothing free about it very disp. In bowditch ford would not recommend them anymore
I had a great experience purchasing a new vehicle. My salesman Bill was great. No one tried to convince me to buy anything I didn't want nor make me feel pressured. I will return here for my next Ford!
I brought in my 2003 well maintained Grand Marquis just for a recall for a lighting issue to be fixed. All of the lights worked fine before we brought the car in except the issue relating to the recall. I dropped the car off at 9am and they didn''t even start working on it until I came back around 2:30. Told me it would be done in an hour and they didn't finish until about 5pm. When they "finished" they told me not to use my high beams because they would cause some fuse to blow and that there was also a fuse missing so now my front left light doesn't work. The tech insisted that someone must have worked on the car and messed up the wires but we have not had any work done on the car in over 2 years but getting new tires and have of course had an inspection during that time AND my son just took and passed his driving test at DMV with this same car that they of course inspected before the test just 2 Saturdays ago. When I called back to the service center after speaking with my husband, the man that I spoke with was VERY rude and kept cutting me off saying it was close to 6 and he couldn't help me. He didn't even listen to all that was wrong with the car before telling me to just come back another day. We were actually considering purchasing a new car from here based on how our experience went because we need another and are expanding our family but we will NEVER purchase from Bowditch Ford.

The service department rep. was very nice and polite. The service (oil change) that I had done was done in a timely manner. While I was getting my oil change they noticed that I would be needing a State inspection in a couple of months, so they went ahead and did it. What great service.

Al Cusano and the Service Team at Bowditch always take great care of my 2017 Ford Escape. I also purchased a 2002 Toyota RAV4 from them several years ago and they took care of it when I had it. A friend of mine has purchased it and it is still running great. Thanks Bowditch!
Even though it was a hectic busy Saturday, the Service Advisor Perry got me taken care of very quickly.
Excellent customer service and a great variety of trucks. It was a struggle to pick what truck I wanted, but they put me in the trucks I was looking at and I fell in love. Gotta go with Ford, best reliable trucks out there. No peer pressure when looking at options. The truck was clean and I went home a happy man.
Was told Friday that I could bring my car in anytime to have it checked for recall. Come in Monday and get told by someone else that they don't allow walkins only appointments. You guys are full of crap. I wasted an hour driving up here for nothing.
Btw, Al the asst service manager has a terrible attitude. Get rid of him because he's dragging down your service department with him.

Timely service. Waiting room leaves something to be desired. It's not so much a waiting room as a waiting right of way that's open to the service area, cashiers desk, show room, and the entry into the garage service space. No quite place available.
I always leave Bowditch with all my questions answered and they never disappoint me.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. This is the second time I ve been here and I couldn t be happier to use the Ford service department. My service advisor is Al. He always takes care of me. He knows every vehicle I have servicex at Bowditch and always recommends wisely thw services I should complete. He tells me exactly what needs to be done and even tells me if Things are not necessary to be done. I highly recommend Bowditch Ford service for your car repair needs.
Tough to find a parking space here, I drove around the building once then squeezed in a small car space.

We regularly use Bowditch Ford s service department for maintenance and service on our vehicles. We have always found them to be honest and dependable, and very knowledgeable. Al always looks out for us, even anticipating any problems down the road and informing us of same! We are very satisfied and highly recommend them to anyone looking for good, honest car repairs!
I bought in my '13 Ford Explorer Sport because water was leaking into the cabin after it rains. They kept my truck for several days while they waiting on their "water guy" to come look at it. The service advisor told me it would cost too much for them (Bowditch) to diagnose the problem! Their "water guy" never came even after I contacted him personally. My truck still leaks when it rains! Frustrating!!
Bowditch did very well by me in terms of the price I paid for my 2018 Explorer but it took 2 hours to change my oil. The customer service staff were very pleasant and the waiting area wasn t too bad. I wish I could get the service extras I receive when I take my Tundra to Priority Toyota and the prices of Bowditch... that would be awesome.

Went to every other dealership in Newport News in search for a good deal. Bowditch was the first place I went, then I went to 20 other places... then back to bowditch. Hahaha This dealership stands out from the rest because the staff is there to help you rather then just make another sell. I was very shocked when I left with a brand new Ford Fusion with 0% interest and $0 down (My credit is NOT amazing either.) I wasn t expecting a deal like this, but Casey and Robert made it happen. Couldn t be happier. Thanks guys!!

I'm surprised that this business is still around, considering each time I've delt with them their service writers and estimate writers have been rude and insulting. I refuse to do business with any branch of Bowditch because of this location. Congtaulations Ford, you got some great winners there.

I've had NO problems with Bowditch since I brought my first new car with them back in 2011; besides the company that I work with, I've never known a place to work so hard on customer service - hope they never change.
This place... Smh. They were so enthusiastic and excited and kept texting me to get my business and now that they have it I'm feeling pushed to the side. After I sat there for 5 hours the first day they say I can only get this one particular car with my credit type. $500 down and $371 for my trade in. The day ends and they rush me to get the down payment to them the next day and offered to come pick up my car (the trade in). Fine. The next day I brought the down payment and was promised that I would get my car the following day because they wanted to get the car looked at first. FINE AGAIN. I sit at home ALL DAY (missing work for the 3rd day to deal with these people) waiting for the delivery. NOBODY NEVER EVEN CALLED ME. I HAD TO CALL THEM. Just for them to tell me that the car needs to go back in the shop again. So today here it is the FOURTH DAY and they barely answer my phone calls they give me the run around and NOBODY WILL CALL ME BACK! I did everything they asked on the day they asked and I get nothing in return. AND TO TOP IT OFF THE ONLY CAR THEY SAY I CAN GET IS A STICK SHIFT AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO DRIVE A STICK. WAS FINE. I WAS WILLING and INTERESTED TO LEARN! @ 6:00 tonight (I HAD TO CALL THEM AGAIN) and I just get off the phone with a rep who now says the dude who's supposed to have called me back 3 HOURS AGO has gone home for the day! WHAT!!???? IF I COULD GIVE A -5 AS A STAR I WOULD!

I had an Exceptional Experience at Bowditch. The facility is housed with very friendly, knowledgeable, & professional staff. You have an optional to wait on the vehicle or leave it. If you wait; there's an Awesome lobby to be seated. it consist of comfortable setting (cushioned or high seat chairs) entertainment (television), condiment(coffee, juice of choice) . The building is also clean & inviting with clean customer restrooms. This was my second time there for maintenance. This time I decided to leave my car; upon doing so; I was called after the services of my car was completed. I was given a number to be picked up by Bowditch's transporter; whom was a very, very friendly man. In Culminating my remarks; Bowditch Rocks With Great Customer Service.
If I could give this place a NEGATIVE star rating, you can bet that I would!!!! This place is THE WORST for customer service, integrity and honesty!!! The dealership's general manager is a COMPLETE jerk! After negotiating with a salesman for hours, we finally agreed on a price. The store was closing and we told the salesman we appreciated his hard work and we would sleep on it and call him back tomorrow. He was literally begging us to accept the deal and sign the bottom line. After sleeping on it, as we told him we would, we drove back (over an hour drive) the next day to get the car. We were introduced to the dealership's general manager who said, "Last night's deal was for last night, but today is a new day!".... No deal! REALLY???! What kind of a dealership refuses to honor a deal that they agreed to less than 24 hours previously??? We will NEVER buy a car from this guy and hope that you don't either.

We also bought a 1979 Ford truck as well and it's still going strong. Great dealership to buy from. They are willing to work with you and also make it fit your budget. Many other dealerships won't work with you. So if your looking for a great car or truck go to Bowditch Ford. You won't regret it.
My truck required a new starter and a flywheel - was the diagnosis when I carried my truck in on Thursday morning. I wanted my truck for the weekend but Al told me that depended on the warehouse location that had the parts. I got a call of Friday afternoon that my truck was ready. Praise God, Al, the mechanic, and those involved.

Just got my Mustang back after $1800 in brake repairs. I made my guardian angel work overtime; they were astonished the car braked at all because of all the damage. Everyone here is always so nice and polite, and even when a job is expensive I think it's very fair. They don't try to sell you service you don't need, which I appreciate.

Took my car in for an oil change and a recall which I'd already paid for. I was promised a refund. 1st round of paperwork surprisingly was lost. 2nd round of paperwork I was assured a refund within 2 weeks. A month later, I still HAVENT received my refund. Numerous phone calls and voicemails with only 1 return call in a month. When I ask for a call to be placed or the number to the manufacturer to see what the hold up is, I was given a number to customer service who couldn't tell me anything. I was told only the service manager could call and the hold up is with the service manager.
Fine tuning my 2017 Ford Escape at Bowditch Ford, still a happy customer that will continue to stand by a company that shows excellent service and committed to excellence. Have you seen the new Ford Models? Incredible!!!!
I needed to buy parts for my commercial E150 but could NOT find any place to park any where around their entire lot. I even had to weave myself backing up to get back out of places trying to find a place to park. Not very welcoming to new customers.
Bowditch Ford always exceeds my expectations. I recently had a major warranty issue. They took care of me completely. This time around, I was late asking for an appointment. They took care of me within 24 hours. Al in service is always professional and ensures I have what I need. I'll stick with Bowditch.
The staff, mainly Destiny and Bill, are the type of people you would consider friends instead of salespersons. They made me feel as if I was family.

I took my vehicle in on 8-12-2020 for a back up camera and there keep it over night and now on 8-13-2020 he talked about it not ready yet and will not be ready until the end of the day. He had All morning to work on my vehicle and never did until late afternoon and never called me to let me know about what going on with my vehicle until I called him. This is poor customer service to me and anybody else. Your truly Mr. Kermit Weaver.
Had a small issue with some seal rubber on my 2016 Edge; took it to Al and they fixed at no charge....been dealing with them for many years as did my Dad. Don't go anywhere else.
I was forced to keep my car. I drove the car off the lot at 9: 30pm and took it back the next morning b to turn it in and was told rudely by the manager that I could not turn the car in. The car was not even financed through a bank yet. A few weeks later I had to take my "new" car back because brakes were bad. A few weeks later I had to bring it back for repairs for other problems. I'm still taking it in for repairs and only had it for two years.The car was bought brand new and I was forced to keep this lemon. Customer service is awful. At the counter in the service repairs they seem to be hateful and it feels like you are bothering them when you need service. I no longer go there. I go to another Ford dealership when I need service. Very unhappy.
I just had my second visit to the Bowditch service department within the first 30 days after relocation to the Hampton Roads area. The passenger side power step on my F150 was stuck in the down position for a week. I scheduled an appointment on line for a Saturday morning. That was very easy and responsive. When I arrived the technician checked the entire electrical and mechanical systems associated with the step but could not find anything wrong. He got the step to operate correctly then lubed the entire system. He worked for nearly two hours but I was not charged. I consider the service department's actions the best part of customer relations. I will return in the future and will recommend the dealer's service department to all Ford owners.

The worst Ford dealership in the area they have 2 locations and neither of them will schedule an oil change for the same day. Quick to take your 45000 for a new vehicle.. Not so quick to accommodate.. so much for quick lane service. Thank you HALL Ford as usual you guys are accommodating and friendly.. I would steer clear of Bowditch Ford for anything. For your Ford vehicle needs I recommend HALL
