What a wonderful vacation we had. Staff was fantastic and made sure we were pleased. Food was excellent. Very pleased, we will be going back!

What an experience. The staff was amazing. Shout out to our bartender 007! They do move on island time, so it was hard for me as an East Coaster to slow down with them. We did the all-inclusive package so we did not have to pay for our drinks, meals or plane tickets. Our room did have a funny smell to it which stayed with our clothes even after washing them when we got home. Room service did our room every day. Pictures are the resort and view from our room. They do have 3 restaurants but only 1 open due to the hurricane. There was enough meal options to not have the same dinner every night, if you're not a super picky eater. We did the St. John and Thomas tour which ran the 2 of us $400 total. Cabs are EXPENSIVE but better they drive than you. Beach and pool were clean. We used all the water sports. Mostly older couples, kids that were there where well mannered. Would recommend.

The stay was phenomenal, great beach, wonderful food, we really enjoyed our swimming with the turtle tour, we had a really nice time on our tour if the city. A+++++

I visited this gorgeous spot right after hurricanes Irma and Maria hit the USVI. As expected, things were "in progress", but the staff was friendly, the food was delicious and the view was beautiful. My hat is off to the owners!

Came here for lunch. Plenty of seating. Right by the beach. There is also a pool and a swim up bar which guests and diners can use. Food was average. Had chicken wings and fish tacos. Nothing fancy. Not enough parking spot so you might have to park on the street. Waitress was friendly.

Very nice atmosphere. We had some challenges when we first got here but Kevin the manager worked diligent to solve the issues. Food and Music selection was great at the restaurant.

Especially slow service, food is average, over priced, and don't be clumbsy and spill your 1st 2 drinks, you will get cut off even if you are willing to pay full price for the mistake.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely need more restaurants ,I Understand the hurricane ruined part of the resort just hope they can get that part up and running soon, Service is extremely slow in their one restaurant they have.
Many times I had to get my own water ,waited over 30 minutes just to get a bagel.
Rooms need major updating very old and shabby bathrooms are horrible... Compared to other sides of the island the beach at Bongo Bay is not very appealing. Sorry to be so negative like I say the staff were very friendly only had maybe one negative person we dealt with bellhops were amazing people..
Unfortunately we would most likely never stay again..

Honeymoon success! The staff are amazing! The fantastic food! Can't say enough great things about this paradise. My prayers that everyone is ok from the hurricanes.

My wife and I honeymooned here and it was fantastic! Enjoyed the great view from our beachside room. Saw a stingray while snorkeling right off their dock. Tammy from the gift shop went out of her way to make sure my wife and I had a good time. Highly recommended!

I had a very nice greeting from the workers as I entered the property. Thank you to the bellman who escorted me to the HR office where I had a very warm welcome from Michelina, she took time to answer any question I had. Thank you so much for your welcoming hospitality.

WiFi is meh in the rooms, the service at the restaurant definitely has an "a" and a "b" team, you will know when you wait 3 min for a server or 20 min. Beds are comfy (on the stiffer side). The rooms have fridges but no microwaves, I guess they want you to just store drinks. Showers are tiny but they have all the normal hygiene stuff they have at other hotels. Water is very hard here. Don't get a rental, take taxis.

The Doumeng family has created a resort that thinks of their guest first and foremost. I have stayed at the resort many times, taking advantage of all the accommodations and activities. All team members has an eye for detail and want to anticipate your every need. Don t hesitate to introduce yourself to Paul and Colleen Doumeng, they are amazing individuals that truly care about you as well as their team (you are surrounded by one big family). This is a must! Great location between town (for shopping) and Red Hook (ferry to St. John). Oh and you should definitely try diving for some Rum!

Right on the water, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, good food.

The resort is awesome, Leroy really helped us out and another friendly woman whom I did not catch her name. It's a locals hangout, very calm, and you can even use the pool even if you don't stay at the resort, as long as you are at the bar.

I can not say enough great things about Bolongo Bay!! My husband and I stayed at Bolongo with our daughter (12) and son (10). This place stole the hearts of my whole family. We felt like we d known the Bolongo family forever by the time we left. We ate delicious food everyday, snorkeled, kayaked, paddle boarded, sailed on the Heavenly Days to swim with sea turtles at Buck Island, drank from a fresh coconut that Cornelius picked for us and so much more!!! The beauty of the Virgin Islands is unimaginable. No filters needed for photos here! The only negative aspect of the whole trip was having to leave. Don t hesitate to book Bolongo and be prepared to have your heart stolen!

We won the trip in a raffle and couldn t have been happier with our prize. We arrived very early before our room was ready and were well cared for until we could get settled (ahead of schedule). Just a hint of the wonderful customer service and island hospitality to come. Everyone is pleasant and helpful and truly wants to share their island paradise. The trip was too short and I d love to return

Great beach atmosphere! Relax in the sun during the day, then chill to live music at night. No need for a taxi to go elsewhere. Every thing is right there at this resort.

Have been there 3 times over 10 years and we will never be returning to this "resort". Even though the staff is fabulous, the place is so run down, that I am surprised it has not been condemned. Band-Aid's are pretty much holding it together. It is very obvious that all the profits are NOT being reinvested into the property and the buildings. Rusty refrigerators, exposed metals with dangerous sharp edges... Mold everywhere, I can go on & provide pictures. I Love St Thomas & the Caribbean & with that said, do your research and READ THE REVIEWS! We gave this particular place 3 chances to improve & chose the better/best rooms (and 2 bedroom/2 bath efficiency apts) and we will not sink anymore of our hard earned money into this money pit!

The view from our ocean front room was beautiful! Our room was clean, and the staff was very friendly. SUch a relaxing place to stay!

It was beautiful. My stay was amazing. The rooms are slightly dated but clean. Most of the time you spend is at the pool or beach anyway. The best advice I read before going was to bring water shoes, which you will need if you decide to go in the water. The food at Iggies Oasis is delicious especially the conch fritters. The all inclusive package is the best way to go if you don t plan on adventuring out often or if you re a big drinker. All of the staff are courteous and helpful. I will definitely be returning!

One of the most relaxing & beautiful vacations ever. It feels like you are family when you are there. Every day was a gorgeous 82 degrees. Just steps from your room to the beach. The best food, entertainment and activities all right there. Love Bolongo Bay.

Had an amazing time at a beautiful place the rooms are a little dated however still comforting got engaged and enjoyed every second of it!!

From the personalized welcome on the bulletin board, amazing wait staff, bartenders, and general staff you will always feel like you are home.

The food was exceptional. The rooms are perfect for the beautiful beach my times you ll have during your stay.

This resort was an ok resort for why I was in St. Thomas. The employees are very friendly and helpful. However, I wasn't to fond of a cat hanging around the eating area!

We were there 3 weeks ago. It was our first time ever to the island. We absolutely LOVED Bolongo! It turned out to be our most perfect & memorable vacation. We can't wait to go back!

All of the staff were super helpful and kind. We enjoyed every minute we spent there. From hanging out at the bar to snokeling to sunday funday!! Actually was super sad to leave. Definitely will return one day.

We spent 5 days here for our honeymoon and it was so relaxing! The staff, service, and atmosphere were wonderful. The beach was never crowded, we were the only ones on it the majority of the time in July! We compare all other vacations to this one and so far, nothing has come close! I highly recommend going to this resort!

Great stay, very nice staff from the bar, servers, front office to the surf shack. We did the all inclusive package and did no go hungry or thirsty. Never had to wait for a chair on the beach, plenty of things to do on land and water. The snorkeling was great if you can take the boat out.

The cons I had was that with diner reservations the one night I wanted the weekly special on mexican night they ran out of the special. The showers get to a luke warm temp at best.

If you go in with a open mind knowing this is not a big name resort but a small family owned resort you will love it.

This place is still under construction from the hurricanes 2 years ago but that did not keep the staff from giving us an amazing experience, great food, and a beautiful clean resort. Because of the small scale to this place too, we recognized majority of the other guests which was really nice.

Had drinks and food at Iggies Beach Bar and Grill. Sweet swim up bar at the pool, overlooking Bolongo Bay. Bartender friendly and scenery was amazing. Hidden gem. Still rebuilding after hurricanes, but Greta place to drink and chill.

The good: We did all inclusive and some of the food was great! The fish tacos, wings, burgers and our 7 year old loved the popcorn shrimp. The dinners were ok, would have liked a little more authentic Caribbean food/seafood options but over all the all-inclusive for 2 adults and a child was a great deal. Servers were great especially Melissa at dinner and Meuro I believe her name was.
The sunset cruise was Amazing! Crew was terrific. Our family loved it.
Our daughter loved the pool. I honestly couldn t imagine how crowded this place would be at full capacity though. There is only one pool.
The bad: Water is beautiful however the beach is very rocky. Found snorkeling to only be ok. ( we went out far too!) Bring your water shoes. Also because of see grass something bit me all over my legs half way through and the itchy bites lasted over a week!
Our room was cleaned only One time in a 7 day period. It s supposed to be every 3 days.
Taxi s are per person and very expensive. $70 to go to Coki beach there and back including an umbrella. ( $40 there and $40 back to airport)
View from our room was incredible but a screen door to hear the ocean at night would be a nice upgrade. The bath room is dated/desperate for upgrades and water leaks from shower onto the floor because curtain was not long enough.
If the hotel considered including a free or less expensive shuttle to several of the area beaches I would consider staying again.
They do have kayaks and other beach stuff included for use which is nice.
Overall we had a good stay/friendly staff but will wait until we do not have to wear a mask everywhere to travel again.

When we began to plan for our wedding we only had a few must haves. We wanted it to be about us, be on a beautiful beach, great photos and compassionate people helping us. We knew from the first phone call with Lorie Leonard that Bolongo was exactly what we were looking for. If you ve been here you know what I m talking about and if you have plans to get married here you will not be disappointed. The entire staff goes above and beyond each day to make everyday special here but Lorie was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING from the first phone call we had with her, she is truly an angel on earth Thank you again you made our wedding a dream come true! Can t wait to go back, we will always go back to Bologna.

Great vacation!! Awesome service, good food! If you are looking for a quiet, family owned place, then Bolongo Bay is the place for you! Not over crowded like some. Very happy with my vacation and I have 3 days left!

The staff there are very friendly and make you feel welcomed. BUT the rooms and area was drawn with cockroaches. I saw about 4 in my room & all by the pool and kitchen area. Also the service there was pretty slow.

Worst room experience, got cash stolen from my room and bedbugs rash and swollen arms from the hotel bed.

Beautiful sunrise nice people,good snorkeling as long as you watch for sea urchin, sea weed is bad to but I'm from Texas so didn't bother me to much, will be here for about 3 months or more for work so I will definitely be going over there on my off time

Food was alright, service was horrible. If you go here and get Priscilla, ask for another server because you won't be helped. My food was ordered with an attitude. I needed a refill when the food was brought out, but the only time we saw her after that was when she brought the check. Didn't ask how food was or for refills. If we go there again, she will not be our server.

First time here and never been treated more more rudely. We will not be back! Horrible service!!!

Had to go to bar to get drinks as we were never waited on and then told we needed to move because we were only having drinks and not dinner even though we told both the hostess and the waitress before we were seated we were there to listen go band and have drinks. There were plenty of other tables and they could have handled so much better!

Dear management... seriously your staff was the rudest I have ever experienced. The waitress that told us we had to move had zero respect for your patrons.

Loved it, the pool is nice and clean. The food and drinks are great. You sit down and enjoy the music or go in the pool while enjoying your favorite drinks. The beach is nice clear waters and nice white sand.

The staff is super friendly & very welcoming! We went on two excursions while we visited & loved it!(snorkeling with sea turtles & sunset cruise) The captain & his crew of two HOT CHICKS were great! They knew how to entertain a crowd while also providing insider knowledge of the islands. My husband & I enjoyed the all inclusive option & we definitely recommend this!

I came to St Thomas on business after Hurricane Maria to help the people in Dealing with Water Testing and Cystern issues.I took a Course at the Local College to aquire the appropriate License in order to know the Local Regulations.I stayed at Bolongo Bay because they allowed Contractor's to stay even though they were shut down to the Public for Damage Repairs and Remodeling.I had no TV but didn't miss it at all because the environment was enough to not even care about it.The Staff were Terrific and they even had a Woman come in early every morning and supply the Work Crews with Drinks and Breakfast Sandwiches to start the Day.The Restaurant food was exceptional in the evening and Service also. I was there an entire Month and never had a complaint the entire time it was more of a Vacation than Work Related.I actually thought about Relocation to the Island to open up a Business and met local Employer's that offered me a Job.I am still considering it at this time.I appreciate everything and enjoyed myself at a Time when Damage was significant and not all Amenities were available.

This place has cats walking around in the restaurants. Gross!! You get what you pay for. Never again. Worst experience ever!!

We long Bolongo Bay, been there 4 or 5 times and will go again as soon as we safe to travel again. Food is wonderful, the staff makes you feel like family, it's as relaxing or as exciting as you want it to be! Scenery is amazing.

Iggies (amazing bar) has moved over to the pool side of the resort. Bands are often featured at the swim up pool bar. Nice view, and a great happy hour. Good spot to hang out and enjoy the afternoon.

I got married on the Beach at Bolongo Bay and I cannot even describe how impressed I am with the place and most of all the people. The Beach is gorgeous, and the views breathtaking. The set up of the archway, palm tree aisle, and chairs with white sashes blowing in the wind was more beautiful than any picture could do justice. The staff was wonderful. Accommodating, friendly and helpful. They cater to your needs and provide a value unmatched in the Caribbean. Do yourself a favor a pay a visit to Bolongo Bay St. Thomas.

Great Place to watch sports and have drinks..Grub food delicious..

These people went above to make us comfortable. Our flight got in super early(830am) and they had us in our room within 15 minutes of coming to the resort. The food is great and the drinks are as well. They have a lot of things to do that's included with your stay. They have extra's that you can pay for that are fun, I suggest Sunday fun day on the boat. They have excursion's that come to the hotel (some only take cash only, but they have a ATM onsite). It was a awesome time here and we will miss the staff and the atmosphere for sure. If you want a place where you can kick back, relax and unwind this is the place!

Inconsistent and poorly trained staff (Iggies). Combative manager (Iggies). There are nicer resorts. Not bad for a quick drink though.

Very nice place. Lots of activities, restaurant, and very fun atmosphere. Rooms are clean, the balcony has it's own light, Ac, microwave, and refrigerator, and clean rooms.

Room is gross with someone else s hair everywhere from the bathroom to the bed.. management nor housekeeping has come to review or clean. This room is totally nasty

This place was amazing. Traveled early August 2020 during COVID issues. The entire staff across the board were awesome, super friendly and patient. Resort was phenomenal on cleaning procedures and taking care of guests. Food was great, water activities awesome. Couldn t have asked for anything more. Truly a dream vacation spot. Thanks to everyone there.

My wife and I had the privilege to stay this past week and it was amazing. The ambiance, the humility of the staff and friendliness was impeccable. It was like home away from home and I would recommend to anyone and I will visit again. Very satisfied with how clean the room was. Thanks Bolongo bay

The staff was over the top amazing! Everyone was friendly, helpful and a joy to be around. They have live music, great food and a beautiful view of the Caribbean. There are paddle boats and snorkeling gear available at the resort, you don t have to leave to see turtles and barracudas. We were only there a week and it felt like home. They have a catamaran that will take you out on a sunset cruise or to snorkel. They also have an all inclusive package (Covid may impact this). They are family owned, care about their staff and customers. We will 100% be back! Thank you Bolongo Bay for the best vacation!!!

Great, independently operated, Beach resort. Nothing fancy, but a nice beach and hotel.

Loved this resort!!! The staff was awesome and the food was really good. I had lobster every night for dinner!! We had the all inclusive package and it was well worth the money. We will be back!!!

It was a small hotel it made us feel very lucky to experience of not having a lot of crowd's and almost made us feel like we were on our little private island hotel was very clean we enjoyed our stay and rum punch drinks were three best

It is Really a nice place to stay. The staff are all friendly and caring. The all inclusive deal is definitely worth it. Only two problems about this resort. The first one is the beach. It is a lovely beach but once you walk into the water you find yourself facing an obstacle of rocks for about 7 feet then after you pass the bed of rocks you find yourself walking on a field of seaweed. The other problem is the service. Dont get me wrong the staff is great and very freindly but, If youre eating dinner at the Lobster Grille, it will take at least 10 mins for your to recive your drink and dont be surprised if you recive your bread basket with your appetizer. Besides that everything is great and I can honestly recommend this place. I came here with my wife for our honeymoon and we had an amazing time, didnt even feel like getting out of the resort. The food is great, the drinks are great, the island itself is just gorgeous. You will not get bored because there is always something to do here (pool, water sports, excursions, sailing and scuba diving lessons, beach bar and a more fancy restaurant). Perfect for those who want to spend few days in a peaceful place surrounded by nature and iguanas which are crossing the road on a daily basis. We will def come back!

Stayed at Bolongo for two vacations in St. Thomas, top place to stay if you re looking for a comfortable and authentic Caribbean experience. Great food and music. Super tranquil as well.

Stayed here for three nights. They moved us three times to different areas of the motel and all rooms were dated and had cockroaches in them. What a dump. Everything needs updating. The A/C was noisy and the shower was super small and absolutely disgusting. I ve been traveling for over 30 years and this is one of the worst places I have ever stayed at. I escalated to the owners family and they failed to provide any discount just greedy and uncaring. I don t know how these people at the front desk sleep at night knowing this is such a dump for customers.

As a local I have stayed here and the staff here is so welcoming. The staff genuinely care about you and you will become family by the end of your trip. Such a great place to stay.

The Bolongo staff made us feel like family! From the personal check-ins from Lorrie, to the amazing Heavenly Days sail boat excursions, to the wait and kitchen staff who knew our names and preferences, to Tammy who helped us find and arrange amazing off-sight experiences, we felt right at home! If you are looking for an institutional resort this is not the place for you. If you want an authentic experience outside the chain resorts, stay at Bolongo!!
