I get that people and companies makes mistakes but during an engineering project there often are and should be constant testing and rechecking of work done as well as attention to weight tolerances to allow a high safety factor. The negligence on their part cost the lives of 6 people and over 11.4 million of tax payer money over simple mistakes they could have easily checked up on. Also, just because they weren't the only company at fault does not erase the deaths nor excuse the extra effort they could've taken on their part to make sure safety was of most importance.

I m pretty sure these engineers were not the only company involved on the bridge project. At least give them fair investigation instead of assuming how the process works and trying to blame someone without having the full knowledge.
