My wife and I went to Bob's today to buy a new bed. We were met at the door by a sales associate named Joan. She showed us all of the adjustable beds and explained the differences in the frames and mattresses. She was very knowledgeable was able to answer all of our questions. We purchased a bed with accessories and we were very happy with our experience with Joan. We would highly recommend Bob's and Joan as a Sales representative.

We have been a long time customer of Bob's Furniture and recently we had a problem with some new furniture after speaking with customer service Bob's stood behind ther products and offered us a exchange. We were very happy with their professional customer care. Also I would like to say that Shelly in the Newington store that we usually shop at is awesome. She listens to your needs answers questions and offers valuable advise. Ask for her sheis the best.

I went in to your Newington store specifically to look at and possibly purchase your Playscape sectional for our second home in VT. I had no intention of purchasing anything else at Bob s to furnish the rest of that home. Then I met Shelly Ramdeo, your exceptional sales associate. By the end of my visit, I had furnished my entire house with Bob s furniture thanks to Shelly! Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about every piece of furniture in that store, she was not pushy, like some I had encountered in other furniture stores. She asked us questions about what furniture we needed and the style we were looking for and she actually listened. She was honest, funny and very helpful with helping us choose the right furniture for each of the rooms we needed to furnish. My experience in your store was the best I have ever had in any furniture store I have ever shopped in. I give that experience 5 stars. Then came the delivery of the furniture. I would have given you zero stars for what I experienced. The furniture was delivered within the window you gave me, which I found impressive. I understand that you have subcontractors deliver in that part of Vermont since it is quite remote. My contractor was at my house when they arrived as I was on my way (It s 2 hours from my home in CT). The delivery team said that they do not assemble the furniture and another team would be coming within the hour to do the assembling. They gave my contractor a blank IPad to sign, when my contractor questioned what he was signing, the delivery person stated that it was for the delivery of the 20 items and that by signing it would generate the work order for the team that would be coming to assemble all the furniture within the hour. Reluctantly, my contractor signed. I arrived about 20 minutes after your delivery team had left. I took the day off from work to be there for the delivery. After an hour went by and no team had arrived, I called your customer service department. I would have given them 1 star. They were aweful. I called to get an ETA on the team of assemblers and I was informed that the delivery team was supposed to assemble the furniture and what they had my contractor sign was to confirm delivery of the order and that we declined assembly. Needless to say I was outraged! All the customer service associate could say was I understand your frustration, but I can t get a team out there for another 3 weeks to assemble your furniture. I got the same when I asked to speak to a supervisor and the same when I spoke to someone above them. Then I called Shelly, my awesome sales associate, but could not speak with her as she was with a customer. As I waited for someone in your customer service department to get back to me, unbeknownst to me Shelly had sprung into action. When she found out I called, and knowing that I was getting my furniture delivered that day, she checked the computer to make sure nothing was wrong before she called me back. She was furious when she saw what had happened. Shelly and her store manager, Judy LaGuardia, sent emails to regional managers and other VPs to make sure I would get a team out there that day to put together my furniture. I was on the phone with a supervisor from your customer service department when Shelly called me back. Your customer service supervisor was telling me how the team that delivered my furniture had been released for the day and the best she could do was have someone come out in 3 weeks. I was so upset when I clicked over to Shelly s call. I was ready to explain everything that had transpired that afternoon, but to my surprise she not only already knew but had a team dispatched to my house that evening to assemble all my furniture! She also informed me that the subcontractor that delivered the furniture was fired and would no longer be making deliveries for Bob s. Shelly Ramdeo is the only reason I will ever shop at Bob s Discount Furniture again. She went above and beyond and got the job done where your customer service dept/delivery dept fell short.

After going to many pricier stores to look for a new couch, I ended up at Bob's in NYC. I found something I liked but the service was terrible. No one knew what they were talking about and had to keep asking other people for help. I decided to go to the Newington, CT store when I was visiting CT. I was warmly welcomed by Carolina. she took me right to the item I wanted to see, helped me with measurements- no pressure or stress! Gave me great advice about adding addt'l pieces, helped me with the rugs- overall, it was the best experience I had furniture shopping for 3 months. Thank you Carolina.

Super easy and great service. I had Josh as an advisor at the Berlin Turnpike location and he made everything super clear for me. I was so nervous after another Bobs visit (different location), but everything was communicated effectively and without any pressure. My delivery went smoothly and I have no complaints about any of this furniture purchase. Will recommend to others who are in the need of new furniture.

The foundation is strong, but is painted over the fabric the cover the wood of pine , stink inside the bedroom, It is cheap , I rather to pay more with excellent quality. This location was great! Can t say enough nice things about the staff and atmosphere. The outside looks less welcoming than Raymond/Flans but as soon as you get through the front doors you will be pleasantly surprised.

I walked in expecting the typical used car salesman to approach me similar to other furniture retailers I visited. Instead I was greeted by Shellita who made this experience. At no point did I feel like I was being sold instead she was letting me make judgements for myself and explaining the options that were available. This process took no longer than 45min from walk in to choosing the furniture set, choosing a mattress and getting checked out. I spent 45min in other stores wandering around the living room sets when I needed bedroom furniture.

Went in to Bob's a few days ago and was greeted and helped by Giacomo Fiore. I already had a sectional in mind and was on the fence on a dining set. I explained to Giacomo the theme I wanted for my living and dinning rooms. He was able to offer design opinion to match the sofa and the color theme of my interest. I ended up getting the sofa and a dinning table that I previously overlooked. As his recommended, we ended up customizing the dinning chairs from two different dinning table collections with no increase in price. The complete package looked amazing in the store and I'm looking forward to the delivery. Giacomo was not only very knowledgable and insightful, he also had an amazing personality and clearly loves what he does. I look forward to working with him again.

Some folks I know complain about Bob's, but I've never had any major problems. Can service be a bit light? Yes, but if you're actively looking for help folks are there to assist. The one issue I've noticed is that sales reps aren't really experts in anything. I've had to send folks away to get me answers from management or other employees. That can get tiring, but there are some knowledgeable employees there.

I purchased a bedroom set from the Bob s Discount Furniture in Newington, CT. The in-store experience was nice and my sales person was helpful. However, after you pay them and it s time to get your furniture delivered, it is a nightmare. IT TOOK 4 DELIVERY ATTEMPTS (4 separate times my girlfriend had to reschedule work) AND MULTIPLE CALLS WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE TO GET 1 BEDROOM SET DELIVERED AND INSTALLED IN GOOD CONDITION. During that time neither Bob s customer service nor my sales person seemed to care about all the issues I encountered. The Bob s customer service girl mentioned that if I stuck it out and ended up accepting delivery of all my items I would receive and unnamed amount of store credit for my inconvenience. I received my final item in early July and have yet to hear from Bob s about how much store credit they are supposedly going to give me.

First Delivery Attempt
The delivery team arrived within the specified time window. My girlfriend inspected the items before the delivery team began installation. About half the items were scratched up, and those items were subsequently rejected. After she rejected the items, the deliver guy pointed out that there were multiple delivery tags under the tags that he put on that morning, which means that the items had already been rejected by other people and sent back to the warehouse multiple times.

Second Delivery Attempt
My girlfriend checked the items and they all arrived in good condition. The two delivery guys brought the items upstairs and put them together. Upon inspection, my girlfriend noticed that one of the drawers in the bureau wasn t opening and closing correctly. When she asked one of the guys to check the track to see if anything was missing, the delivery guy shouted that she doesn t know how used drawers, started slamming the drawer shut, and refused to inspect the track. My girlfriend also noticed that they split the wood on the side of the night stand when they were putting it together. She rejected both items. When the delivery guys brought the rejected items back downstairs they dented up my walls and broke my wall sconce. I had to file a property damage claim with the delivery company.
Later that night I spoke with the Bob s customer service girl and she didn t seem to care. She said that because of the inconvenience they would offer me a store credit, but that they wouldn t actually tell me the amount they were offering until I accepted delivery of all the items. I then called my sales person and told him about the issues I was having. He told me he would figure out what he could do and get back to me. I never heard back from him.

Third Delivery Attempt
I received a phone call from Bob s customer service the morning of the third delivery. They told me they broke one of the two remaining items when they were loading them into the delivery truck, so they could only deliver half the remaining items.

Fourth Delivery Attempt
After 4 attempts, they finally brought the last item and installed it correctly.

My wife and I went in for a bed frame..... we were never asked how we preferred to pay. (Cash or Acceptance Now) It was nearly an $1,000 purchase and although we could and did pay outright.... we found it odd that it was assumed. On top of that the goof proof was explained to us and tacked on without asking us if we actually wanted the protection. Making us feel obligated to keep the warranty..... Ron/Rob I cant recall his name was so eager to push the most costly sale through that he sat at his computer as we waited on the couch.... input all of our information and told my wife to insert your card here never once verifying even the total amount of our purchase. Today is our delivery day..... no surprise he has it going to the wrong place.

P.S. Rob or Ron has back problems..... so you will be told to lift mattresses if you have any questions in regards to the bed frame..... which wouldn t have bothered me so much if I didn t have Cerebral Palsy.

I have never had an issues prior to this at this location.... but this experience is one for the books.... unbelievable.

Today s visit in Newington store, assisted by Antonio was incredible.
I previously purchased a sectional couch and ottoman in Manchester store.. assisted by Hasan O. I experienced a very disappointed service and Hasan was very unresponsive with my calls and emails. I emailed his manager Eric, he was just as unresponsive!
Long story short after all the disappointments. I visited Bob s in Newington. A young pleasant gentleman with a welcoming smile and helped me. His name is Antonio. I explained my previous order and frustrations to him. He was extremely patient and understanding my situation. I finally canceled my previous order with Manchester store and replaced a complete new sectional couch and coffee table with him.
Antonio was as busy as Hasan was when I was in the store. However, he still managed to make me feel attentive. If anyone needs changes in their living environment, contact this young man Antonio... he is very friendly, polite and humble.

Went in for a mattress, ended up leaving with a whole bed set and end tables for our living room. Great experience and couldn't be happier with the quality. We did business with Justin and could not have had a better experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommend asking for his assistance at the door.
