Bob's Discount Furniture has fairly reasonable prices.

We were able to find furniture for our den by mixing the pieces to give a personal touch

Unfortunately, the sofas were redundant and most lacked a style that would grab my attention. But we found a reclining couch that was very unusual and we bought it and the chair. With the addition of a coffee table that had great storage and end tables to match, we only needed lamps that would contrast nicely. Luckily there were a lot of lamps to choose from.

The furniture is if average quality. We knew that stepping thru the door. We found what we needed at the final price we could afford.

All in all, the experience was good. The salesperson, Debbie, was attentive without being a nuisance. Thanks for that, Debbie.

Minia was my sales person. She was very helpful, professional and personable. I am so glad that I stopped in today and had the opportunity to do business with her. I recommend anyone to see her specifically. She is very thorough and knowledgeable about all of the products.

I have shopped for furniture at the Newington Bob's (on the Berlin Tpk) exclusively since 1994. First and most importantly, the ads on TV do not reflect the quality and workmanship of ALL of their inventory, even the $799-$999 special sets. Personally I prefer to make my appointments a day or so ahead of shopping with SHELLEY! She is an excellent salesperson who is truly honest regarding the quality of my choices. I highly recommend this particular store. The only thing I wish is that they took "Discount" out of the store's name.

We had a great experience at your store. The sales person was very knowledgeable about the mattresses. The only thing was, there were only 4 choices on California king size mattress. I would have liked a larger variety to select from.

I am writing this review sitting in my brand new Gibson oversize power recliner purchased at Bob's Furniture.
From the moment we entered the Newington store, to delivery of our recliner, we have received nothing but top notch service.
It was friendly, informative, and professional , and it started with a call to Bob's repair to see if it was possible to resurrect our 18 year old recliner, that we had purchased from Bob's.
Due to age, it was not meant to be.
So we wondered if it were possible to get some kind of credit towards a new one.
That's when we heard from Dave. He was both very understanding and helpful and due to circumstances, was able to help us out.
Now for our store experience.
Our salesperson was , Minia. She listened to our situation and to what we were looking for, and was able to take us directly to our future recliner.
This lady made us feel as though we were old friends. After some discussion about some of their add on benefits and delivery charges, we said that we had to give it an overnight thought, to make sure it was the recliner we wanted, but would be back.
We did return, but Minia was out for dinner. Thats when we met Giacomo.
He said he would help us and the sale would stay with Minia.
Giacomo, is a most outgoing, and personable salesman . Very humorous and at the same time, helpful and informative.
He wrote up the sale, set up our delivery date, and brought us to the desk for payment.
Through Emails and text we were kept aware of our delivery schedule.
On the day of delivery, I was able to keep track of where we were on the list and where the delivery truck location was.
About 15 minutes before arrival, we received a call from the driver to confirm address and that they were close by.
Delivery arrived on time. They had our recliner in position, plugged in and operating, and were gone in less than 15 minutes. The recliner arrived in mint condition.
We have been enjoying this recliner and its benefits, such as , a charging port for my cellphone. The chair can fully recline like a bed , and in that position, the headrest can be raised so that you can watch TV. The material, color, and stitching, give it a rich leather look. But is a fabric.
Bob's prices are fair and we feel we got a great value.
The store is crowded with furniture, but is well organized and very clean on all levels.
Also, if you're so inclined, there is free coffee and snacks available.
There is handicapped parking and access to the store.
There are two entrances.
Entering the parking area ( behind the store) off Richard street, can be tricky. You must look for the Bob's Sign to make that turn. Otherwise you'll end up in the wrong place.
You can also enter and leave via the Berlin turnpike.
Everyone is helpful and cheerful, from the greeter to the delivery people.
Keep in mind, there is a delivery charge and they do not move furniture, or remove furniture.
I strongly recommend Bob's Furniture and We will return for future purchases.

My husband and I just purchased our first couch from Bob's recently. Our experience was wonderful. No one hassled us. Our sales woman let us take our time and helped us weigh the pros and cons of the two couches we were stuck between. The best part: the delivery guys were EARLY! That never happens!

One of the worst places to do business with!!!!! They're quick to take your money!!! But want to come and deliver damaged furniture and try to manipulate you to take it!!! Then they expect you to wait a few days more after they have screwed up!!!! They honestly don't even deserve the one star!!! If you want to spend your money wisely and deal with people who truly value their customers you are better off going somewhere else like Macy's or Raymour and Flanigan!!!!
