I went into Boardman Nissan looking to buy my car out from my lease. Brad Ayres was an awesome salesman. He was knowledgeable, Friendly, and very patient. This is my 2nd time at Boardman Nissan and I will be back. Thank you again!!

They were friendly, and helpful, but their 1 CHADE...

They were friendly, and helpful, but their 1 CHADEMO DC fast charger did not work with 2013 Nissan Leaf. Kenny Ross Nissan had the same type of charger, and it also failed to work. The one at Pittsburgh East Nissan was different and worked great. It's about 6 times faster than these old level 2 chargers. I have a level 2 charger in my trunk that adds about 35 miles of range an hour versus 20 miles.

Well where do I start...first off I went to the dealership at 5 pm on a Saturday evening.. (they close at 6pm) the dealer we worked with was James Chismark my husband and i went and took the test drive and any and all questions we had about the vehicle was answered and explained..James was very knowledgeable about the vehicle..after the test drive we started the negotiation process. James and the staff went above and beyond..they stayed until 8pm to get me the deal and payment I wanted...after we left i noticed I forgot the second key to the vehicle. I called James and explained I would come back on Monday to pick up the second key..James asked where we was told him I had stopped to get some things to eat..James left the dealership and brought the key to me....thank you James for making this the easiest car buying experience I have ever had..

I have never had a more offensive, infuriating, an...

I have never had a more offensive, infuriating, and difficult time with a customer service-type business in my life. The service department was rude and demeaning... They treated me as though I had no intelligence whatsoever on the basis that I was a young female, and they tried to (illegally) keep my car in their repair shop so that I would pay them hundreds of dollars for unnecessary work. Save yourself the time and effort and go somewhere where you will be treated with respect and honesty.

We had a wonderful experience buying a car at Boardman Nissan. I've been to other dealerships where the sales person runs circles around you, trying to get you into the car you don't want for a price you can't afford. That's not the case at Boardman Nissan. We went in just to see our options, and ended up leaving with an affordable car payment for a car I've wanted for years!!!! Thanks again, Jarrod for all your help!!!!

I was in to have my oil changed and tires rotated. The gentleman who greeted me when I arrived was so nice, he explained everything in detail but did it in a timely manner. He kept me posted with what they found during the inspection and the service was finished in under an hour. I was very pleased with the experience!

STOP SEARCHING! Nissan of Boardman is top notch! In the last 2 years I have purchased a Honda CRV and a Chevy Suburban for my business. Last month I leased a Nissan Rogue for my mother and the experience has been the best of my entire car buying history. I worked personally with Richard Slifer he provided excellent car information and helped me make the best decision for me. He was aware I was looking at other cars and just wanted to make sure I fully understood the leasing vs. buying options. I appreciated that! I spent several hours at the dealership being educated and I confidently went with the Nissan. It is like everyone really works together as a team for the benefit of the customer. I have never encountered this at a dealership. The satisfaction of the customer matters. In the last 30 days I have received followups about my car buying satisfaction from the: Vice President Dave Mazur, General Manager Chris McConville, and Service Manager Todd Courtney. I also received a very important call back from another manager Mike (I didn't get last name) I don't know where else in this area you get this kind of service. I had went to Sweeney Chevrolet Boardman, Spitzer Chevrolet, Sims Buick-GMC, and Greenwood Chevrolet my heart was set on an Equinox for my mom but Boardman Nissan executes on service and satisfaction, I had to leave with the Rogue. I am very pleased with both my experience and purchase at Boardman Nissan. Chad Parker made the buying (leasing) process easy. We got all of the features we wanted and in the model we wanted at a price that was exactly where we hoped to be. All of the staff at Boardman Nissan was friendly and really worked with us from beginning to end. I will be recommending both Chad and this dealership to friends and family that are in the market for a different vehicle!

We purchased a car from James Chismark at Boardman Nissan in 2013, and it againwas such a good experience that we decided to do it again in 2019. We couldn't be more thrilled! He suggested a vehicle that was exactly what we needed (both times) and worked hard to make it easy on us. He is honest and dependable! Our salesman, Demetrius Ison, was outstanding! He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and worked extremely hard to get us to where we needed to be on the lease. I will highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to lease or purchase a Nissan. The financial specialist, I believe his name was Levi, was also very friendly and helpful. He explained everything thoroughly. Both of them and the sales manager stayed until 10 p.m. to finish taking care of us and get us out the door with our new Rogue, which I love! Thanks Boardman Nissan for a great experience in what could be a painful process of getting a new vehicle.

But Sam explained to me how leasing worked and I left with a brand new 2019 Nissan Morano SV witch was leased. He took the time to explain things in detail from beginning to end. A wonderful dealership with a polite, low pressure staff!
The sales manager, John, went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our purchase, as we kept flip flopping and changing our mind as to what we really wanted.
Louis was very polite and patient as our salesperson, even making many trips out in the rain to show up different vehicles. And finally, Levi and Jason in the finance department made all the paperwork seem effortless... even though we made them do it twice!
All of this while never pressuring us into anything!!

Above and Beyond Service

James "too tall" Chismark went the distance to make the sale, literally and figuratively. My wife and I went to the dealership like most people do, intimidated and apprehensive. James was very down to earth and shot us very straight from the start. James worked very hard on our first visit to the dealership, but we ran out of time to get a deal done. In the following days James stayed in contact never over-stepping any communication boundaries (i.e too many messages or messaging late in the day). James purposed a deal that i was very pleased with but I couldn't get to the dealership for a couple days to pick the car up and sign the paperwork. James knew that I was in a desperate vehicle situation so he offered to bring the car to my home in Hermitage PA and finish the paperwork. Soon after I was in a nice vehicle, with no money down and a very reasonable payment. James definitely went above and beyond for a car sales man and as a human -being. If you are in the market for a vehicle stop in and ask for James. He will work hard to get you the deal you are looking for.

I started my negotiation over phone and text last Friday. I wanted a "leftover" 2016 Rogue because I figured the deals were better with the 2017's out. I am around a hour and a half away from this dealership so I wanted to have a deal pretty much done before I drove up, which I did. I drove up Saturday morning and was met by Jerod in sales. After a while, I learned the vehicle I wanted was gone. I wasn't happy for sure, mostly because they were one of the only dealerships in a two state area that had the exact color and options I desired. I was more than ready to leave having wasted a Saturday driving up. Eric, the sales manager requested to see me before I left. I was apprehensive because I was pretty upset. He wanted to make it right, and said he would locate a 2017 for the same price I negotiated earlier. Not only did he locate one (in the Cleveland area), Jerod drove to Cleveland and picked it up, then delivered it to my house that night! These guys really came through. I have to say my experience ended up being incredible. Pretty sure this isn't "normal" dealership behavior, but they certainly could of let me leave being upset and left it at "oh well". Jerod stayed in my driveway explaining details of the vehicle until I finally told him to get home! He was awesome. I was blown away at the end of this experience, and I know it surely isn't typical. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle, they were unbelievable.

Came in because "unavailable front radar obstruction" warning light and beeping appeared on dashboard. On a previous visit to your shop this same issue was discussed & the Service Manager said since it had only happened a few times to just let it go but keep an eye out for any furthers appearance. Same warning light/info occurred more times & I returned for another service call on 1/2/2020. An "adjustment" was made and on my way home the warning lights came on again. I'm very disappointed that after 2 hours in your shop I'm still having the issue. The warning light is definitely intermittent but something is obviously still wrong. I will keep track on when the next instance happens & then call for another appointment.

The salesman Aaron German was very helpful to my daughter and I. He took the time and explained everything about the vehicle. He took her on a long test drive to make sure this is what she was looking for and it was. Even though it was a hour and a half drive, It was well worth it and I would do it again the next time I'm looking for a vehicle.

I am very, very happy that I went to Boardman Niss...

I am very, very happy that I went to Boardman Nissan. My experience was phenomenal as a first time new car purchaser. I came over after talking to John, the sales manager, and Demetrius waved me inside. I said what I was looking for in a new car, the car I was already considering, and what my general budget was. In no way did I feel really pushed to accept anything I didn't go in there willing to get already and was instead even recommended to just stick with my gut and take my time. (THANK YOU, DEMETRIUS AND JOHN!) I slept on my offer and went to other dealerships in the meantime. I in no way, shape, or form got the same positive experience as I did at Boardman Nissan. Another dealership which I will not name tried to get me to take a look at all the great features of other cars, things I said right up front I wasn't interested in at all, and was even told by the salesperson, "Well, I wouldn't get a car if I couldn't have (fill in the blank)." When at Boardman Nissan, I was heard and showed what I could get on a tight budget.

In my personal opinion, I feel that Boardman Nissan had the quality right up front and did not have to try to earn my interest. They were confident in the quality they offered and were straight to the point with no diversions, which I didn't realize until later is a great trait that they aspire to. When test driving, Demetrius just let me go and have at it while he sat back and chit chatted.

Demetrius listened, showed concern, had a ball of a time shooting the breeze as the process was going through its motions, and made me feel truly at home. I didn't get the cardboard smile at any time, and after slight buyer's remorse (remember...I'm a 30-year-old first time purchaser), which had nothing to do with the service I got, I couldn't be happier with my car and the purchase plan I got.

I'd definitely recommend anyone searching for a car that they want and are not pushed to get to try out Boardman Nissan and ask specifically for Demetrius. I saw him work with others, and his confidence and realness made the whole experience something I think isn't too often encountered when searching the market.

He assured me he would get me into something and guess what? He did!I got approved for a brand new 2019 Nissan Versa! I'm still in shock! I can't believe it. I was turned down by jdbyrider and came to Nissan and got blessed!!!!

I am writing this letter to share my experience that I had at Boardman Nissan this past Saturday.

My girlfriend had been shopping for a new vehicle for a few weeks and we stopped at Boardman Nissan where she had a mediocre reception the week before. Despite the poor previous visit she was interested in giving Boardman Nissan a second try. Her salesperson, Wesley, was warm and inviting. He showed genuine interest in helping his customer find a vehicle. All was going well until we sat down to discuss financing. The numbers that he provided were not what she had been originally quoted and more importantly did not follow the rules of basic arithmetic.
The amount for a monthly payment given to us by Wesley was about 100 dollars more than what my CAR PAYMENT CALCULATOR tool was giving me. We reviewed the price of the car, the interest rate, and the number of months and we still came up with different amounts. He sai that there were "other factors" that caused an increase of 100 dollars and required a down payment of $3000.00. We asked what the "other factors" were and he said he would get his manager.

The Sales Manager, "BIG JOHN" arrived and said, ok what have we got here and, what is it going to take to get you into your new car, sweetie?

Sweetie? Was the year suddenly 1960? I was willing to overlook his use of derogatory terms for my girlfriend and myself like "sweetie", "hun", and "bud" if we could just arrive at a mutually fair agreement. I once again reviewed the data for John.

"This is the price of the car, correct?"
"Yes", he said
"And this is the interest rate, correct?"
"Yes" , he said
"And this is the number of months we are looking at for the loan, correct?"
"Yes", he said again.

I showed him the CAR PAYMENT CALCULATOR tool I had with the monthly payment amount and I said that his amounts were off.

He smiled and said, "that doesn't matter."
Doesn't matter?
He again referred to his payment that was almost 100 dollars more than mine. I told him that he was incorrect and I encouraged him to share his math with me.

John leaned back in his chair and with a sarcastic sneer on his face said,

"What is it you are not understanding?"

I was shocked.

"What is it you are not understanding?"

I could not believe that a SALES MANAGER at Boardman Nissan would speak to a customer like that. Is this the type of behavior that Boardman Nissan breeds into its sales culture? John was insulting, condescending, and not the least bit professional. Boardman Nissan should be ashamed that they employ such garbage. What an embarrassment to your dealership. Is this how you treat all of your customers? Are your staff members given any exposure to good customer service skills training?

We abruptly got up to leave and as we stepped out the door John called out, "have a nice day, hun".

The experience was one of the worst customer service nightmares I have ever witnessed. BIG JOHN was ignorant, rude, and clearly not trained for the position he holds at the dealership. How sad for Boardman Nissan that they have to resort to hiring stereotypical used car salesman to sell their vehicles.

In order to help others avoid the terrible treatment that we were given I will be sharing our story via Twitter, Facebook, Google Reviews, Glassdoor, and other sites. A copy of this letter will be mailed to Nissan Corporate headquarters and the Better Business Bureau as well.

I would suggest that at the next weekly "sales meeting" time should be dedicated to reviewing some basic concepts like Courtesy, Ethics, Professionalism, Character, and Integrity. Those items are sorely lacking at the establishment.

It was my first time buying a Nissan and I had a great experience due to Wesley. He was very knowledge of my vehicle of purchase. Wesley answered all of my wife s questions in detail. Overall , I would recommend Wesley to anyone. However, I didn t feel the same about the finance advisor. I felt very pressured to buy extended warranty packages that I was not interested in. He was relentless in his pursuit!

Samuel Shipton was my sales consultant.
He had a sense of urgency in my time of need.
Picked me up from my home to ensure I had a way to get to the dealership and get the process started.
Sam was very respectful and empathetic to my situation.
He explained every detail to the process and made sure that I understood everything before committing to my purchase.
His professional attitude and knowledge of Nissan products is what I loved most about my visit.
He made sure I was comfortable during the time I was there, offering coffee and the amenities Boardman Nissan has to make your time there enjoyable.
Prior to contacting Sam, I wasn t sure I was able to purchase a new loan, with the existing car loan I already had. But with Sam s knowledge and passion, I left the dealership lot driving my brand new 2019 Nissan Versa.

Our experience trading in a vehicle was a little less than satisfactory. Despite having a Kelly Blue Book trade in value and their service department verifying the quality of my car, they continued to low ball me. I ended up turning in my car here, and the rest of the process was incredibly quick and satisfactory. I just feel they were too focused on the money, and weren't focused on making a happy future customer.
