Werry bad experience whit BMW company. They ask me to bring the car for recall to change cable for positive battery terminal line and reworking heating and air conditioning blower regulator plug connection and after this my STOP/START ENGINE is not working and they ask me to pay for reparation.werry bad experience.

BMW simply do not respond to emails. Dick Lovett BMW in Bath damaged my car while it was in for recall work and BMW UK just do not respond to any form of communication. I m beginning to learn, after 10 years of BMW ownership that the company is run without integrity. I mean, imagine not even having the common courtesy to reply to an email? Avoid BMW at all costs.

**BEWARE AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE** 1 Star is being generous!!!

I took my car, M135i, to BMW Ash Vale in August 2018 as the exhaust was rattling on startup. when met by the service advisor I was told that this is a common problem and they've had a lot of these models and the 140i's back in because of this.

this alone prompted me to do my own research, I found it was a very common problem and that BMW only replace with a like for like part which causes the problem to occur again and again. from research I have done and owners I have spoken to I was made aware the only actual fix was for the m performance exhaust to be fitted. something I wasn't that keen on, however, I wanted the car fixed.

after a few months of back and forth the BMW saying they "cannot find the fault" they suddenly found and could diagnose the fault, although surprise surprise this was days after the original manufacturer warranty expired.



Fast forward to Feb 2019 and the noise is back, I swiftly get the car back to BMW and they diagnose the problem, although this time something different to before. How can so many separate issues be the cause of the exact same problem? They say the "fix" the problem and I am off on my way a week or so later.

However come April 2019 the problem is back again, the exact same sound. I get it back into BMW and they manage to find the fault. although this time the service is completely different from the outset, they don't really want to help. They say they found the fault, again another different cause, and have fixed.

however, they are now saying that they will no longer conduct any work on the car unless I am paying!

surprise surprise the noise is still there and has been since I picked the car up, clearly, no work was done on the car to fix it!

I am left with a car that rattles, which is not meant to from the factory!

I am directed to customer service, on 16th July I raise a formal complaint with Mike and he advises me he will call back in 2-3 days. come 30th no call, I call yesterday to be told he will call me back. surprise surprise no call back! I call today to be told he is out of the office and he will call me tomorrow.

the service from BMW has been less than appalling. As far as I am concerned this fault dates back pre warranty expiring and should be fixed. however, BMW are not interested in fixing their faulty product, more interested in trying to sell their new cars.

I would urge everyone to be wary of BMW and their service. We pay huge amounts for what you would expect to be a very well put together vehicle yet is is fault and the service provided is awful!

THE GARAGE CLAIM THEY FEEL ITS MY MISTAKE AND SAY THEY'VE NEVER HAD INCIDENTS OF THEFT . I HASTEN TO ADD THEY HAVE NOW . MY BARBOUR JACKET IS NOT WHERE I LEFT IT, IN MY NEW CAR . Great cars but terrible online software and app integration. ConnectedDrive store is regularly offline, Android apps are terrible even with the latest models. Could be so much better in these respects.

My 2011 BMW M3 was stolen from my drive on 04 Oct ...

My 2011 BMW M3 was stolen from my drive on 04 Oct 2016. There was no broken glass or debris. I've since learned that there's a security loophole and car thieves can make a clone of the keys by listening in when you open and close your door. They can then come at their time of choosing and drive away your car without even physically breaking in ... yes it's that easy!! The reason I'm giving a poor review to BMW is not only for the security breach although that is a valid enough reason, but also for failing to inform me and people like me in time. I now know they've known about this for quite a long time, so why wasn't there a recall? I will be writing to them shortly. As far as I'm concerned they have been negligent.
I've also learned that someone else living on my road had their BMW X5 stolen in very similar circumstances a few days before mine. I think this is a huge issue. BMW you haven't heard the last of this!

Very sorry to say BMW's customer service process has resulted in stalemate, and is unable to resolve my issue. I'm told there is no further route for escalation....If a customer service senior manager or director isn't prepared to discuss directly, I have no choice but to 'escalate' through social media. Beware buying a BMW if you value flexible customer service. This is also a complete reversal in fortunes, as my previous experience about 10 years ago was exemplary. Something has gone very wrong.

Took my car for a recall ,went pick up the car later drove out on the main road all of a sudden the bonnet flipped up. They didn t close the bonnet at all took it back straight away just keep telling me it was closed when they finished the recall ! I ve had this carbon bonnet for 3 years no issue at all, Use them monkeys at your own peril !!!

Well, where do i start, the service and lies from ...

Well, where do i start, the service and lies from the Hindhead dealership are absolutely shocking. I took my 4 year old 5 series to them as it had rust on ALL 4 doors. It took them over 3 weeks to input a claim to tell me when they can repair it. It was finally agreed and was told to bring it in and i can have a courtesy car to which i agreed but stated i needed something 4 door with having a young child. I was then told that they only had a mini, i am 6 3 and have a family so rightfully so i said no. They then put the booking back 3 weeks so i can have a 4 series which i was happy with. The day comes that the car is going in and i get a call saying they need to cancel it as the claim hasnt been authorised in time, i wasnt happy so i called bmw UK and was told it was input the day before the car was booked in and after the dealer telling me it takes 2 weeks. It was agreed and the work was done. I was then told it needed a recall which would take a morning to carry out. The car was in for 10 weeks! Bmw uk hired me a car from enterprise, everytime i called to check on things i was confronted with bad attitude from everyone and fed nothing but lies and they couldnt even give me a date of when the car was going to be ready. They then told me they dont even know when the parts are coming or when the car was due out. The parts finally arrived and i was told the car would be done the following week. The following week came and i called to check if they were on track and was met by rude attitude and excuses about staff sickness which isnt my problem, know one seemed to care. I was then told by a manager there that they were waiting for a car to not turn up to get the time to do mine to which i said wasnt good enough. I was told whoever told me that the car would be ready the following week was lying and getting my hopes up. I then had an arguement and had a follow up call from a manager and the car was done 2 days later. I went to collect it and recieved the car back still dripping wet where they have just hosed it off and still filthy covered in bits of tree and leaves and the inside still filthy. Absolutely shocking service and disgusting customer skills and i will never be using them again. I tried to put complaints in to bmw UK about the bodywork side and the service side and they did not care, they just gave me some rubbish about them being seperate than the dealers which is irrelevent it they are representing bmw. As for BMW as a company, they are meant to be a highly respected car company and value customers but what i found is they just dont care, dealers and bmw uk. Absolute joke and has put me off bmw completely.

Absolutely the most shocking experience- disgracef...

Absolutely the most shocking experience- disgraceful behaviour from BMW Soper Lincoln & BMW Assist and their designated car rental team Enterprise .........After an accident where our vehicle was hit from behind we contacted BMW Soper Lincoln where we purchased our less than 3 year old BMW XDRIVE. We asked if we could have the vehicle checked for damage especially to the under carriage and a quote for repairs. We received a call from a company who wanted to know every detail about us, the vehicle, the accident and our insurance details. After answering several questions we stopped the caller and asked why they needed all the information when all we asked for was for BMW to check the car over and give us a quote. We contacted BMW and explained again what we had initially requested. We were informed to contact BMW assist who would arrange for someone to visit and look at the car. This was not the case as we were informed they do not cover our area as they based in Sleaford. It was then arranged that BMW assist would arrange to have our vehicle collected and taken to BMW Soper Lincoln. BMW assist confirmed we would receive a courtesy car when ours was lifted and taken to BMW. After 3 hours of a courtesy car not arriving I contacted BMW assist and was informed that their notes did say we needed a courtesy vehicle but for some reason one had not been organised. We then received a call from Enterprise head office and it was confirmed that our local Enterprise would contact us to organise a courtesy vehicle. James from Enterprise Worksop called and advised after the conversation lead to me confirming we needed the vehicle to transport our pet to urgent vet appointments he advised they do not allow pets in their vehicles. After speaking with BMW assist James called back and informed us that he is willing to overlook it on this occasion. We were then informed that all the cars were out apart from Nissan Xtrail. We were informed that the vehicle must be returned fully fuelled though it arrived three quarters full. We have no idea how we are supposed to be able to utilise the boot for our lap tops etc.. while travelling as there is no parcel shelf n the vehicle to cover what is in the boot. Today we received an email from Soper BMW Lincoln asking how our car was. Concerned we emailed back and telephoned to ask where our vehicle was and were informed someone would get back to us as the vehicle was taken from our driveway 2 days ago. Two hours later we called again as we had received no call as promised and at that point we informed them we were going to contact the police as we did not know where our vehicle was and worried it had been stolen was the only explanation as the receptionist we spoke to confirmed that when a vehicle is brought in it is booked in and a job sheet issued and she could not see one. As we were calling the police the receptionist called back to say she could see our vehicle in their work shop. We asked to speak with a senior manager and were informed there was not one available. Shocking, disgracefully treated by all three parties. JB.

BMW customer service is not good as their cars. They have taken my car for service and now been ages and still there is no delivery date for whatsoever. The car given instead of mine is a something completely different and made me pay for extra wheels whilst my vehicle is off the road. BMW Chiswick Berry branch doesn't even pick up calls. How can you expect such a company to react so slow and unpleasantly to their customers. I definitely don't recommend anyone!

Absolutely horrendous customer service. My 1 month old BMW M5 Competition was in the workshop after they conducted a service wrong. Then I asked for a courtesy car, and BMW said they didn't have any when there were ten cars lined up outside. They finally gave me a loan car.

Bought a second hand BMW for my wife from Douglas ...

Bought a second hand BMW for my wife from Douglas Park Hillington Glasgow and the service was TERRIBLE!
FIRSTLY we went into the Hamilton Branch and we were told to go to Hillington....obviously we weren't dressed correctly! or didn't have the right postcode.
The sales rep in Hillington could have written his knowledge about the car on the back of a postage stamp!
My wife who is quite knowledgeable on her BM's asked him if the car was fitted with run flats.... after 4 mins on his hands and knees down on the ground he told her it had!
My wife asked him also how the stop start works to which he replied "oh your better with that off....reached over her and switched it off"
He was more interested in telling us all about his personal life than selling the car.... we arranged an appointment for the following Wednesday and I took a day off work, only to be told by this idiot that he could not deal with the financial transaction! Total Waste of time
We were promised that the car would be Super Guarded and would receive the relevant paperwork.....still waiting LOL
My neighbour received the V5 THREE TIMES! as the salesperson got our address wrong (yes THREE TIMES) however this was blamed on the DVLA . We took the car home only to receive a frantic call from this idiot (salesperson) the our car had to come in for a RECALL, we asked what was wrong and weren't told so all that weekend my wife's new car sat on the drive as we were scared to drive it.
The salesman advised us he had booked it with the service department, we carefully drove the vehicle to Hillington only to find they knew nothing about it!
It transpired that the vehicle had been sold without the APPROVED BMW SAFTEY CHECK!
We also had a light showing on the dashboard from TEST DRIVING the car and asked Mr Salesperson 2016 what it was, he told us that it was "just telling us it was cold outside" On a hotter day (and they are few and far between in Scotland) this light was still on....I investigated this and in fact it was showing a side light bulb was out!
BMW Hillington HAD MOT'D this car???????
Complaining to the Salesperson's boss was futile.... he offered us to Super Guard the car.... when I told him this was supposed to have been done prior to me picking up the car he waffled on......
I then contacted his boss and confirmed over the telephone that I was not happy he did phone me back once after that and left a message and I subsequently phoned him back and left another message for him to contact me.......its now the 12th of Jan and I'm still waiting....
DOUGLAS PARK HAMILTON/HILLINGTON YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS..APPROVED BMW GARAGE?? I WOULD HAVE RECEIVED BETTER SERVICE FROM A BACKSTREET GARAGE!

All there bmw 3.0l twin turbo diesel cars do not run at euro 6 they lied on the conformity certs to show there engines do. The proof is in all the cars manufactured between 2011 and 2014 are Euro 5 but are IDENTICAL. Beware of buying from manufacturers that lie. Look at what happened to VW Group.

Hi There,

Hi There,
So BMW Chigwell has had my BMW e36 M3 GT for 30 days in their Body Shop for repair and presented it back to me in a very poor condition so obviously they do not carry out a QC check.
After going away on holiday for 6 days I returned to collect my car from the BMW Chigwell. They put right some of the issues and did not correct all, not to mention creating more damage to headlight eye brow.
I have had this car for over 16 years and spent a small fortune on it, so I am baffled that they do not seem to care about the BMW brand as much as I do. So I have had to hire a car and had to cancel prior arrangements before going away and now have had to take another day off work for the damage to be put right.
However I will say, that Ben the Service Manager has made an effort to deal with these on going issues for me, as they have damaged my car twice since they have had it it their Body Shop!

Very professional and helpful. I may of made it easy for their salesman ( an excellent guy called Phil Cox ) as I had done my research beforehand and knew exactly what deal I wanted. The first offer was not good enough but I countered with the deal I wanted and said that with that deal I would definitely buy and he gave the deal. Overall a quick, easy and very satisfactory visit. All the staff are very courteous and helpful.

Owned BMWs for years having loved the quality and precision of handling of many the vehicles.

Bought a 2010 5 series touring (E61) as approved BMW in 2013. A number of failing occurred (remote control failed, handbrake malfunctioned etc, repaired at my cost).

Recently found one of the rear seat belts (very rarely used) malfunctioned by (i) not clipping in and then (ii) failing to work when it was clipped in by opening during a journey - i.e. it is unsafe, unreliable and hence broken.

I complained about this basic and import safety failing on a car that is under 5 years old expecting some concern BUT BMW UK CUSTOMER SERVICE REFUSED TO FINANCIALLY SUPPORT THE REPAIR.

Currently rethinking loyalty to a brand that has such disregard for basic safety.

Stephen James Enfield the franchise tell me head office dont know what they are talking about.I have reported Stephen James Enfield after discovering about 4 weeks ago in my view that Stephen James Enfield I beleive supplied the wrong oil for my vehicle some time ago and has been and still is in my car for over 6 months.Stephen James Enfield in defence say all their oils are bmw approved however I am disputing inaccurate oil specification.

I have just spoken with BMW and am totally surpris...

I have just spoken with BMW and am totally surprised that nobody at the UK HQ can talk about car problems or issues with dealerships due to poor standards . They said if you are not satisfied with a national dealer , in this case Bluebell Motors , Crewe , try another dealer !

side of the boot is filling up with water after every rainfall . I have been a big supporter of the 5 series , but I am beginning to think twice .
Has anyone else had this issue , look under your battery ?

to reach the seat belt is to far back behind the drivers seat and the space with the drivers seat and door
is very difficult to reach unless you leave drivers door open. The M3 had an extending arm easier and made it engage the seat belt.

You cannot imagine how disappointed I am with BMW. I signed up to the brand after Listening to my son singing your praises.
We have between us four BMW cars and two BMW motorcycles. I m not going to bother repeating again the poor customer service I have received.
I am so glad that I kept my GLA Mercedes.
