We have been very happy with our Blue Dog Business Services. We have never had a bad experience we the services they can provide to assist your company. Our service representative has handled our calls with friendliness and always can answer any question we may have. We don't see switching our credit cards services any time in the foreseeable future. As far as the sales experience goes, it was as expected. Nothing bad, nothing exceptional. The people I have dealt with have been polite and helpful. I will revisit the rating after I have 3-4 month's experience with Bluedog. That wait will tell me if the commitments were sales talk or factual and if the costs are what I was told.
Archie was wonderful to work with on a fraud issue. He invested his time to help us out with no expectation of helping himself. I highly suggest him for any payment processing or loan needs!

This company has the worst employees, I have kindly asked them to refrain from calling or coming into my office on a number of occasions and today I explained yet again that I was not interested in their service to please take us off their calling list and the young lady stated as I was speaking "ohh okay shut up" and hung up. Frankly I don't mind paying a little more, to not be harassed and insulted.

They call me periodically to check and see how business is doing, they seem to have a genuine care about my growth (if I do better, they do better). They offer a wide range of services without being pushy and also listen to my specific needs so they can tell me what services will or will not work for my business. So far I am loving the program (app) as I can keep track of expenses and inventory while providing another avenue for accepting payments.

I am locked in my account even though in the beginning my sales guy told me no contracts . I do not do any cc processing and really need to cancel but it will cost me more to cancel than to continue paying my monthly fees which change every month. Be careful when you sign up with any cc company and know your outs unlike me!
I gave two star because they are a legit company and will work if you need cc for firearms. I do not sell enough to justify $25-$40 a month.

I owned a small business in Washington state (Dave's Killer Magic Shop). I had Blue Dog as my credit card processor on both my internet account and at my physical address. We got great service through out our time with blue dog. Kudos to Melissa who I worked with on closing our account. We were going out of business and it was a very stressful process but Melissa took care of us in a very caring manner.

This company has some of the best processing rates in the industry. Setting up processing was almost too easy. As with every binding contract I would recommend having an attorney review all documents and explain them to you before signing. I would also make sure you have get every document that you sign as a hard copy with all terms and fees documented.
I've been processing with BlueDog for almost a year now, and have had no major issues. Peter took care of me when I did have a problem arise. I hope to continue a business relationship with them in the future.

Being a Marine for 8 years taught me to understand that not everything would go my way or be easy. Which is why I decided to become a home-based FFL dealer, I make my own hours and answer to no one(that is unless the wife opens the door). When I went to look for a processing company to take care of my business, I had seen all of these raving reviews and endorsements by NRA and NSSF for Clearent. Naturally someone in my line of work listens to what the NRA has to say and goes with what they endorse. Man was I wrong, Clearent was quick to get me a mobile swipe account for transactions because at the time I didn't have a online store. But once I made an online store and needed an online gateway, whoa brick way. Clearent wanted me to have an inventory of a certain dollar amount and there is no way I could meet that criteria being a home-based FFL. For one, storage is an issue and two, I don't have customers just walk into my place walking around looking at stuff, that's not how a home-based FFL works. So needless to say, they wouldn't give me an online-gateway, and pretty much ignored my phone calls and emails telling them I wanted to close my account. I don't understand why the NRA and NSSF endorse a company that only works with a percentage of the FFL dealers, that being brick and mortar store fronts. But when I contacted Rick Warren at blue-dog, he let me vent about Clearent for almost half an hour until I asked him to help me. Wasn't any pressure from him or blue-dog to set up an account and such. He walked me through the whole process and within 4 days, I had an account for physical sales and an online gateway. To end this review, the reason I gave Blue-Dog 4 stars and not 5 is because I don't give anyone 5 stars, 5 stars in my personal opinion means everything is perfect, there is nothing in life that is perfect, so please do not think that there was anything wrong with my experience. I just refuse to give 5 stars to any company.
