Absolutely love every visit to Big White. The terrain is just so much fun, with loads of variety and natural features everywhere. On a good pow day like we had this Monday, it's some of the most fun riding in the world. See you again soon Biggie
Good range of terrain. Easy to get from one chair lift to another. Ski in / ski out accommodation. No lift line ups.
So much to do here, even if you dont ski or snowboard. Can be expensive, so we dont go all the time but when we do, it's fun.
Great mountain, and a beautiful village. There's always lots friendly Australians working and plenty of organized activities. Got engaged on the slopes looking out on a magnificent view of the valley.
Awesome time at Big White, ticked all the boxes, even a dive in movie theatre at Happy Valley
Nice big hill, lots of lifts and runs. Very easy pass scanner system. Very friendly staff! Good food/rest options
Great place for skiing and snowboarding, has places to stay and a ski school!
Amazing snow. Village has all amenities. Restaurants are abundant with good food.
I have skied at Big White for over 20 years. It has a wide variety of terrain, all the way from super beginner slopes with a magic carpet lift to steep double black diamond runs and cliffs. It has great groomed slopes, nice mogul runs and outstanding glades and tree skiing. Definitely a great place for the whole family, but also quite good for hard core skiers. It is a very friendly place, and you will notice that about 80% of the employees are Australian, and they are always plenty of fun!
Beautiful resort, lots of things to do and very friendly staff. Needs better signs as to where things are. But no complaints!
Fantastic spring powder skiing at one of Canada's best family ski resorts!
Love this place. Wonderful skiing for a family vacation.
Love this place, great terrain for all skill levels. Never too crowded.
Family friendly, great instructors, friendly staff, and Awesome skiing.
Great ski runs, really helpful staff. Awesome accommodation.
Better than Whistler in so many ways. Year after year, the best party ski resort in BC. Highly misunderstood and underrated hill.
It was a beautiful day and lots to do over the family day weekend.
The view from the apartment was absolutely stunning and they put on a heck of a show for new years with the tube Hill and the fireworks!
Beautiful ski resorts whit amazing mountain for snow fun
Skiing snowboarding skating tubing ect .
It truly is half way to heaven. Love this place. It's not a typical commercialized tourist spot. It's a great ski resort offering a variety of activities. Has everything to offer and then some called character and authenticity.
Great condo, ski in ski out. Nice village with good restaurants/bars. Picking up lift tickets was quick and easy.
I love the place the snow conditions the atmosphere on the mountain. I would go back straight away
Such a great mountain! Lots of fun runs, steep or simple with so much variety. Nice vibe for a good time.
Heaps of nice long runs. Really well set for day trippers with microwaves, hot and cold water, food, coffee etc. Only an hour out of Kelowna.
Beautiful place in the summer, not only in the winter. It s not crowded at all in the summer. There are many hikes to explore here in Big White. We stayed in Winter Ridge for a while and it has beautiful views of the mountain. Overall, a lovely place to visit and explore not only in the winter but also in other seasons too.
Can be awesome skiing with fresh powder, which they get a lot of. However, the lift ticket prices are hugely disappointing for the general public. It's like this mountain only exists for 10% of the Canadian Population and rest International Elite. I feel sorry for the good people who are struggling to make ends meet in a time of the highest Debt to Income Ratio in Canadian history. Prices of snacks are a huge disappointment too. This is not for your average family at all. It's really sad! I just went the day before, luckily it was part of my work to take someone there. I remembering going to Tod Mountain, now Sun Peaks for 20$ and complaining when they raised prices! No wonder the mountain was virtually empty yesterday!
4 words, Best Ski Resort Ever. The slopes on this mountain are unbelievable.
Great place for skiers of all abilities, family and accommodations.
Great for biking and Hiking, they also gave us a free pancake and sausage breakfast. Probably just because of Canada Day, a.
I always have a great time. The snow is just perfect.
Not to bad, Friday is cheap night for passes and rental
Overall, Big White is one of my favourite places to ski. There's lots of variety in the accommodations and they've done a pretty good job of keeping the ski hill accessible wherever you're staying. There's also lots of terrain to choose from on the hill... as long as it's not foggy.
edit: Big White needs to do more to enforce their smoke/vape/marijuana-free resort. I think they should consider smoke detectors in the gondolas on Lara's Gondola. Getting into a car going down with my two young children, I did not appreciate that someone had hotboxed the car on its way up.
best ski hill. so many runs and the village is so accessible. cheaper than whistler and way less commercial. I love this place and we'll definitely be regulars.
First time going there, loved it. Other than the far drive from Vancouver I'd say it's the best. Will be back for sure.
Friday night skiing is a no brainier. $10 lift tickets and $10 rentals. Only problem is now I want a season pass
Easy access to Big White from our home in Kelowna just off Hwy 33 40 minutes up and drop the kids off for a great day of skiing and boarding.
It's pretty decent but the trails for bikes are stim limited, in a few years big white will be fantastic for trail riding.
Did not ski just walked around beautiful spot...nice staff
Great village, great skiing when there's visibility
Big White is an excellent hill with lots of park/ski-cross features, varying degrees of trail difficulties, and glades. The lifts are efficient and night skiing is such a great experience in the mountains. Don't expect a Whistler-Blackcomb sized mountain or village. This is a quieter, modest mountain with a lot character. Parking is very easy and the tickets can be pre-purchased online or in retail stores for a cheaper price than at the window.
Friendly Staff and most helpful when answering questions.
Sprawling and counterintuitive layout. Apparent that no development plan was in place as it grew. Terrain is variable and has something for all levels of skiers. Could use more glading in areas and better marked cliffs for when the snow is thinner.
Excellent resort. The runs are nice and long and there are many sides of the mountain you can traverse. Trails are well marked, and they offer alot of green runs for beginners.
The view is great, however the mountain views aren't nearly as 'in your face' as 'the big 3' in Alberta (which really add another layer to the experience). But I was here to board and that we did and had a blast!
You won't get hungry out there as each time you come down the slopes into the village there are lots of options to refresh. We stayed at the Big White Inn which was a great stay, very friendly. Rooms had a mini table top stove appliance and cookware which was so convenient if you don't always want to eat out. Also great that you can basically ski/board up very close to the hotel so you can stop in to grab a snack and quickly recharge.
Outdoor heated pool and the hot tub were definitely appreciated. The only negative was that the hot tub was closed the first night which was a real downer but no stars knocked off as this sort of thing happens - maintenance.
Worked here 20 years ago come back every year cause I love it
Early season skiing at it's best. Great coverage on the open runs, even early season can give some resorts in North America a run for their money. We are lucky here in BC, a great resort at our city step, some places south of here and east of here would kill for this snow anytime of the year...
Great family resort. Not a huge choice of restaurants but nice terrain and generally good snow. Make sure you see some other resorts / parts of the country to get a more Canadian experience.
Hot tube is the best thing I tried on my life, plus the snowboarding and the big white
Wow! What an amazing place to ski! Incredible snow, would strongly recommend. Lines are not very long, even on busy days
Not the best resort in Canada but still a lot of fun to be at! The people there and the ski patrol were very helpful and the snow and conditions were amazing the week I was there. I probably wouldn't go to this resort again but I would definitely recommend it to someone else.
The beginner's day pass, magic carpet and green runs are excellent for first-time skiers/snowboarders. The service at the rental office is quick and there are plenty of stores where you can purchase extra accessories at a reasonable price. Great restaurants and cafeterias make the stay even more enjoyable
Amazing place, excellent service, very friendly people, great variety of food and services of quality and variety.
best all around ski resort i have been to anywhere! great snow, great ski in out access, good resort with meals, lessons, friendly staff and awesome for my ski buds and my ski kids..
cant wait to go back in the spring!
A spectacular mountain for snowboarding or skiing with breath taking views. Great accommodations too!
Fantastic family friendly resort with so much more than just skiing. Snow is great, but we often get fogged in.
Awesome resort, good snow, lots of activities and amenities, fair price.
Great snow. It got a little windy, and at times the chair lift capacity left something to be desired, but generally quite a good experience.
