This is our 3rd time to Big White, each year around Easter we try to go there when we have a long weekend. This year has been a difficult year for most ski resorts, being we are from Calgary one would think we have lots to enjoy, this year there was not enough snow.

While at Big White there was over 200 cm !
We just had a super time, sunny days with some people in shorts! Yes April spring skiing. Conditions were just peachy, a couple of good snow falls made for a power day one of the days. Thanks to all the nice people we met

Season's pass holder for nearly 20 years. Wish the terrain was more thinly gladed, and I hope someday they get a nice brewpub like whistler's got, but otherwise it's a great hill. I'm glad I live close enough to enjoy it regularly.

It doesn't get better. That's more than a resort it's an expert in experience provision. Services, layout, location. Weakness-disengaged staff. But it doesn't matter, once you are there, the rest of the experience is up to you!

Best deal on skiing around. Get your "biggey card" at one of the local sports shops in kelowna and you will save about 10 dollars o the first lift ticket and I think about 17 dollar savings on each additional day you load o to your card. The snow up there was great every time I went up. Staff is friendly and helpful. Most of the staff is international (from Australia, New Zealand, ect) my step son had a minor injury on our second run. They called for ski patrol to come asses his injury. Then the ski patrol guy got us a vehicle to drive us to the clinic, he accompanied us until we were passes off to the Dr. After we were done with the excellent Dr the nurses called for us to get a ride back to our vehicle. The next day we emailed big white and they loaded another day o to both of out biggey cards so we could go again when he was healed.
There are so many runs you could spend all weekend there and not hit the same one twice.
To sum it up...snow and staff are fantastic and you get the best bang for your buck!

Great snow, variety of difficulty runs, many with stunning views on a clear day. Really good ski in/out from most of the resort. Occasionally foggy. Very rarely too busy.

Quite a few restaurants/bars, Globe is particularly good in my view. I think there is a new swiss style restaurant opening this year to replace the one that changed style.

The ski school is awesome, the kids program is especially good where they look after the kids for the day and teach them, feed them and keep them entertained while off the slopes.

It's not only a ski resort! Its also a great place to go to in the summer for bike rides and hiking, horseback riding and a lot of different festivals throughout the summer.
Great place to go together with family and friends. takes a little to get familiar with directions here for first timers, kinda needs more signs.

One of my favourite mountains! So much speed, so many jumps! Loverly glades. Such a family friendly place. Tons of other activities to do if you don't want to ride. Skate, snowshoe, etc!

Incredible snow is common here, but beware the Big White-out that can happen from time to time. Limited visibility is occasionally an issue you'll have to deal with, but - as you can see from my photo - not today!

To save money, I recommend arranging rideshare through Big White Ride Share on Facebook, or Craigslist (free options, consistently available rides). Poparide works too, but charges 15% (!!!) as a booking fee, which is absurd.

I also recommend buying tickets online, as they're slightly cheaper and you can use multi-day passes whenever you want, whereas tickets/passes bought in-person must be used sequentially.

First white Christmas was made amazing by the thick snow and great skiing.
Big White has everything for the family from long but fun green slopes and also some challenging double diamond runs. Lift waits even on Boxing Day were no more than 5 - 10 minutes at times.
Recommend it as a ski vacation.

Love the snow on the interior mountains, it's much dryer and won't bog you down like the Vancouver coast mountain snow.

Tons of runs on this mountain, mostly blue/intermediate and up.

It tends to be foggy, especially near the summit.

Great village with everything you need and lots of restaurant choices.

Park down at Happy Valley day lot and take the gondola up, or park at Gem Lake (it's the first lot you see coming up to Big White) and go straight up the lift.
