Big White Ski Resort Ltd Review

Large, sprawling resort with every type of terrain you could wish for. Hit the jackpot in terms of snow conditions and was there during a huge snowfall and had powder above my knees.... no complaining about that!!!!

Amazing ski resort though it can get pretty busy on the slopes. Rentals are pretty expensive too

Big white is a lot of fun whether you're brand new to skiing or snowboarding or a longtime rider, or even if you don't like skiing at all but you do like drinking hot chocolate in chalets. The snow is usually very good, and the easier runs are groomed and there's a lot of variety. If you want more of a challenge, the glades at Gem Lake & Easter chutes at Black Forest (can be very steep) are almost always coveted in soft, untouched powder. Definitely a great way to spend a winter day or weekend! (The hiking in the summer is definitely good too, although depending on route you might have to deal with some horseflies so pack accordingly)

Big white is a fun and exciting time for all ages. Each run is unique and well kept. I love to come up here with either friends or family and we always have a good time. Although i havnt been to any other ski resort, this one is by far an amazing hill to start off with. If you are ever bored, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. There are so many activities: sledding, horse pulling carts, tubing, dancing, eating, and having fun. You wont be disappointed!

By far my favorite mountain to snowboard at. Great village. Skating. Tubbing. Good park. Lots of powder. Restaurants. Easy to challenging runs. West jet deals for same day ski and flight. Easy to use bus from Kelowna. Night ski. Good and reasonable priced accommodations. 100% worth it

Great family ski mountain with lots of condo options. We happened to be here during a crazy cold time, but very nice . The runs are spread out all over the mountain with lots of varying degrees of difficulty. We are here with a large groups of families from SCDS and having a great week. Heads up.....it's a long ass drive from Seattle. Don't say you weren't warned!

Definitely the best planned resort I've ever been to, with runs aplenty for every skiier/boarder of every age and ability. The powdery snow and runs with a good amount of trees make it a beautiful and wickedly chill experience. I love skiing to the front door of village vendors where a hot chocolate can be easily had after a few runs, then onto the chalet for a dip in the hot tub. This resort took any hard work out of the equation. Most relaxing ski holiday I've ever had. The best part is that even though it's supposedly a busy week (spring break) there are no crowds. Will be back.

Best ski resort! True ski in ski out. There are very few flat sections.

Find yourself a delicious hot chocolate after a long day of skiing! Sometimes you need a break on the hill, sometimes you need a break at the bar! Big white and the sunshine in the sky will satisfy all your needs.

This is my favourite ski resort. There's something for everyone. Ski the cliff.

There are two things in Kelowna that me and my family come for a few times a year: Okanagan lake in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
Big White is a world class resort!

A good resort with many activities for young and older families, very good for powder snow loving snowboarders and skiers. Big variety of runs and off-slope areas. Long season (November-April), always good snow. Only thing some people won't like is the bad visibility you have on many days in the months November-February.

I am a once a year skier that takes his family up for a long weekend and when i call to book every year it's like i am a regular that goes every week. Everyone is super friendly and the treatment is over the top. I first dealt with Katie 4 years ago and have since dealt with Jenni and most recently Rohan and Peter but it seems like a very high level of service is all that these people know and i can't say thank you enough to them for how they have treated me. You would think if this was a second rate resort or the mountain wasn't that good to ski that they would be over compensating for that with their service but that's the kicker, this mountain is a great place to ski and the resort is very good. 5 stars all the way around folks, you can't go wrong going to this place. Thanks again everybody and we'll see you next spring.

Fantastic! My favourite resort. Great for families lots for the kids to do. The snow here is the best!

I always enjoy my time at Big white. The big White shuttle is just under $100 round trip from the airport. I stay a in a beautiful condo in the moguls building. The skiing is spectacular. This is a great place to bring family including kids. The only downside at big white is if you get a foggy Day. This time i rented skis as I was tired of shipping mine, the price isn't bad and the skis are in good shape. All in all i would strongly recommend checking out big white if you want amazing skiing for everyone in your family.

Great family ski hill had lots going on over Christmas would definitely come back and take in the festivities again

By far my favorite mountain! Whether your a beginner or seasoned skier/snowboarder, there is tones of terrain to cover! Other than peak holiday days, chair lift lines move fairly quickly. Lots of options for lunch. Tubing, skating, snow mobiling, slay rides, the list goes on for things to do. Even the pricing is reasonable for being a large ski resort. Great deal for early bird season passes!

I don t know why so many people go to whistler instead of here, Big White is got to be the best ski resorts I have ever been to.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! THE HOUSEKEEPERS DO A HORRIBLE JOB! THEY MISS CORNERS! THEY HAVE NO RESPECT OR WORK ETHIC! THEY ARE ALL HALF CUT ALL THE TIME!! USELESS!!! THEY ALMOST NEVER WASH THE DUVETS AND THOSE BROWN BLANKETS ARE ALWAYS FILTHY! THE VACCUMMS DO NOT WORK, THEY USE THE SAME MOP BUCKET ALL DAY AND LEAVE DIRTY WATER ON THE FLOOR. THEY PUT YOUR PILLOWS AND BLANKETS ON THE FLOOR WHEN MAKING THE BED! NOTICE HOW THE TOILET BOTTOM IS STILL GROSS?? THEY DO NOT PROPERLY TRAIN THEM! ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS PARTYING AND GAMES! THE CARTS ARE ATROSHUS! NOTHING IS ORGANIZED THERE!! THE WORST HOTEL AT BIG WHITE!!

This was our first visit to Big White Ski Resort and we certainly had an amazing time. We cannot speak highly enough of the professional service that we experienced during our entire stay. Excellent location, facilities, staff members and great snow quality. We will definitely be returning.

Lots to do here! It wasn't too busy when I went before Christmas so that was nice. Had a blast.

Good place to ski, lot of green and blue hills. doesnt need to be really good to play around the slopes. it's a little windy on the top of the hill cuz there is no tree around. but without those trees, the views are fantastic and amazing. willing to go there again before its closed.

Great place to visit, eat, drink, get an idea of skiing life,as a non skier/ boarder. Lovely people.

Went here for Snow Shoeing and it was an absolute delight. We had a guide take us through an awesome trail - we learned about different tracks, trees and the small creeks. I had never snow shoed before but I was able to pick it up with the guide's guidance. Would recommend this service to anyone.

Dope park, pretty mellow mountain. But fun side hits every where.

I'm from New Zealand and this experience was just incredible. So many amazing things to do and very family friendly. We had ski day passes as well as going on the snow mobiles. Absolutely loved my first ever white christmas here would definitely recommend!

Easily one of the best ski locations in Canada and perhaps the world. A wide variety of runs and lifts, lots of snow, and an amazing village filled with restaurants and accommodations. And of course lots of BC wine!

Beautiful scenery, wonderful fresh air. Great place to walk/hike or bike. Great places to eat.Only 45 minutes from Kelowna.

Best resort iv'e ever been to. tons of shuttles from Kelowna to the resort and plenty of accomodation, from apartments in the central village to free standing chalets right next to the run. Plenty of night life and heaps of graded areas and runs.

Went hiking for Canada day, free swag all over the mountain, new bike track looks awesome.

The manbun-wielding barber was skillful, clean and polite. One of the haircutting machines felt a bit choppy though, kind of a letdown considering the price tag.

Great place to ride bikes fun flow trails and rowdy tech. Staff was very friendly will be returning next season for sure !

Wonderful customer service. My ski jacket got accidentally ruined and the team was wonderful about helping me replace it.

Overall, big white had the best infrastructure of any resort I ve been to (hakuba, treble cone, crystal mountain).
The terrain kept us engaged for most of of 11 days and when it didn t, we went snowmobiling.
Loved the trees and the groomers, didn t like that we didn t get much fresh snow this season.

Amazing resort with a ton of snow went there for a comp and had a ton of fun with the cool interesting unique, very snowy terrain.

Great place to learn how to ski and for the family. Wide runs and so many different types of terrain- it s my favourite ski resort in BC! Lots of ski in ski out options.

The staff for the most part were very accommodating. But not all seemed to be vary happy. Would still recommend this hill to anyone.

This mid size mountain has it all. Amazing and varied terrain. A large village with many activities, restaurants and of course Snowshoe Sam's. Great place for all ages and skill levels.

Big white ski resort is a fantastic place to ski, the terrain is wonderful with options for all abilities and the snow is absolutely amazing. I'm not a local but I've been to the resort a few times and the snow conditions have always been spectacular. I'm sure the 300+ cm of annual snow helps ensure there's always some fresh snow.

The only negative thing I can say a out the resort is the staff. They are friendly enough but the training is quite lacking compared to other resorts. There was a common theme where staff didn't know about or couldn't explain the activities.

The on-site accomodations offer a really good variety for most budgets and group sizes. There are options for ultra luxury 20+ person accomodations to simple hotel rooms. If ski-in/ski-out is important, you'll be able to find something but not all options are the same. Some options listed as ski in/out still require a 10 minute walk to the ski run.

It is the best place for family togetherness, and has a very beautiful view
