The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The mini fridge will hold about 2 canned soda, and maybe 2 standard to go boxes. Maybe. Staff is polite and courteous. The free breakfast was fresh and tasty. My only complaint was that I had to wait almost an hour to check in even though I got in at 5, and check in time is at three. Had I been told before arriving it would have been fine, but I arrived ready to check in and sleep and was somewhat irritated. Still, I would return for another stay.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. The museum was amazing, and the green chili at breakfast was fantastic.

Good location. Clean rooms. Not crazy expensive. Good breakfast.

Convenient location to Lakewood. Older but well kept up motel. Beds are good but not great. Continental breakfast one of the better ones with good variety that changes daily.

The dinosaur theme was the saving grace for this place. Without it, it would have been just another ordinary chain hotel. Service was average, breakfast was average, cleanliness was average. But, the murals, fossils, and on-hand dinosaur expert put this place above average. I would stay here again.

Stuck with out money and a room at 3 a.m., just getting down with a long drive.and exhausted! Horrible customer service.

It was a beautiful hotel.The only thing that was different was there was no elevator. If you have a room upstairs the help will help you carry your luggage upstairs. Otherwise, it was a great hotel with a dinosaur type of theme.

Absolutely fine - just got off London flight and was a convenient step off to our holiday.

The price was awesome, breakfast was great, and very clean and new. Beds were unbelievably comfortable.

My wife and I stayed in a 2 room king suite for 7 nights and enjoyed the entire experience. The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. We used the gym, outdoor pool and hot tub which was great after a long day of visiting parks and attractions such as Red Rocks, Rocky Mountain National Park, Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods and an awesome trail ride on horseback at Bear Creek Stables. The hot breakfast was more than adequate. The hotel location was very convenient as well and the price was right as well. What more could you ask for? I highly recommend staying at the BW Southwest in Lakewood.

Check-in lady was rude but other than that, it was a wonderful stay. The bartender is awsome. My daughter really enjoyed the dinosaur theme and loved playing in the sandbox out front. Good breakfast.

The tv did not work. The coffee machine did not work well at all. We did not have shampoo, we had to go to the front desk to get the shampoo. They ran out of some food at breakfast. We had to choose something else at breakfast. I do not recommend this Best Western.

Bathroom was tiny, but clean. Room was clean. No elevators, so if health issues, ask for the first floor (only two floors though)

Spend the money to stay at Holiday Inn, or a Marriot. Dont plan in relaxing and sleeping in cause breakfast starts closing down at 9am even if you have to evacuate the building the previous night for an hour while the fire department figures out if there is a fire or if it is just an accident----there was obviously NOT a fire but instead unmonitored kids messing around. Make sure to bring your own pillows if you want one. The pool is great thought, which everone else was.

On day 2 of 4 here and I gotta say I'm very impressed, check in was great and professional, the breakfast was on point and a wide variety and when we got back from our day at the zoo, the housekeeping staff had made the bed for our kid and it looked like his favorite sloth was king of the castle, best western has earned some new regulars.

Best hotel I've stayed in in a long time. The beds are extremely comfortable, the AC is quiet, and the breakfast was amazing. The eggs we're not hard or overcooked. They also had waffles pastries.

Outstanding! Friendly staff, clean rooms, mini-fridge & microwave, nice TV, and really cool dinosaur theme all throughout the hotel. Gave me zero issues with my service dog (and is also pet-friendly for non-service animals, with generous limits - large dogs okay). Very cool, would stay here any time.

great motel near Denver. Out of the way (sign isn't visible from the north on Wadsworth) in quiet neighborhood. Love the dinosaur decor. Hot decaf coffee always in lobby is nice. Breakfast is great. The cooks work hard to keep it all replenished and hot. Staff always friendly. We like that the windows open to let in fresh air at night.

Awesome dinosaur themed hotel! The bar is made of real petrified wood. Our children loved the free fossil dig, dinosaur statues and dinosaur fossil replicas. The room was very comfortable and clean. No refrigerator... That is really my only complaint.

There was only one woman working the desk on a Saturday night and she was incredibly busy and unable to spend time doing any tasks well. There are not enough outlets in the hotel rooms. The breakfast was nice and the dinosaur theme is wonderful. The paleontologist in the lobby was really nice, she spent a long time with my son. The rooms are good, though the bathrooms a bit cramped. There are no elevators in this hotel, making it difficult to check in with small kids if you are on the second floor.

We were a late check in and it was challenge to get the front desk clerks attention because he was occupied in the office. When we finally got his attention he was very nice and accommodating. The king suite beds definitely need an update but they were still comfortable. This review lost one star because of the outdated bed and another because of the lack of signage to the location of the hotel. If I did not have GPS I would not be able to locate the hotel.

These guys love Dinosaurs. There were no elevators so dragging the bags up the stairs was less than ideal.

Rooms are reasonably clean hotel stuff for Spradley pool and hot tub are open unfortunately practice well I ll just get that but everything else is great

My family and I just took a trip to Colorado and chose this hotel to stay at because our little boy loves dinosaurs. The hotel has murals of dinosaurs along with al lot of dinosaur items throughout the hotel. He enjoyed being able to look at all the relics and replica's that are present in the lobby area. Honestly a good collection.

The hotel is nice and the staff does a great job! The only complaints we had pertained to the rooms. The towels were not soft in any manner. They were very rough. Having previous experience in hotels, I know this is because they are not rotating out old linen and purchasing new linen in a timely manner. The other complaint is that the pillows are tiny. Seriously tiny. I measured and they are square at 18" x 18", about the size of a throw pillow for a couch. Not cool! Invest in decent pillows please.

Absolute worst customer experience I have ever been a part of. Check-out time is around 12-1 and could not get an early check-in 20 minutes before the 3PM check-in time after driving 13 hours for a red rocks event. The employees have a very rude, disrupting attitude to their customers, which is the sole reason for this review. And to top it off, there was a bar of soap clogging our toilet. Luckily, the amazing Maintenance staff at this location is kind and extremely friendly and got our toilet functioning properly in a timely manner (5 Star Service!), and even were brutally honest with their belief being that the maids who clean the rooms are most likely behind this and this happens more often then you think. This location is under-staffed and have very un-educated staff which has created a huge damper on my vacation parade. Never again will I stay at this location.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay at the Best Western Denver Southwest. We chose this hotel strictly based on the good reviews and dinosaur theme for our son. The location could have been a bit better, but that was easily overlooked by the cleanliness of the hotel, nice outdoor heated pool/hot tub, decent hot/cold breakfast and fun dinosaur murals and fossil replicas that our son really enjoyed. We would stay again!

Loved this hotel the most of the 10 we stayed in during our recent trip. Loved breakfast and the nice charming room with the great details housekeeping does to your TP and Kleenex. You have to see to believe that housekeeping really does care about presentation. Breakfast was great. Wish we had time for the pool we missed out on.

The room was clean, but the bathrooms are very small and there isn't much room to work.

Wonderful hotel, especially if you have kids who like dinosaurs. The kids loved playing in the pool (heated, so we could use it even on very cool days). The free breakfast had a great variety, and we could always fill up before starting our day. It's located near two primary dinosaur attractions (Morrison Natural History Museum and DinoRidge). I would recommend it to anyone needing to stay in the area, but especially to anyone with kids with an interest in dinosaurs!

No elevator and we had a room on the 2nd floor. Otherwise room was nice and breakfast was good.

Slowest internet ever. Doors all need new handles, there stupid door locks. Single ant in bathroom. I am updating my review. Breakfast was excellent, staff was professional and the dino bones were cool. Pool was clean and there was a dino expert on site discussing dinos which was also cool.

Great staff, ambiance really cool, bar is really nice. We have stayed for 5 nights and had no problems at all. The pool and hot tub looked good but didn't have the time to use them. All in all it was a good stay. Kudoes to all.

Clean room and service is great. The breakfast was pretty standard for a motel. Pool area and bar looks good as I passed by Only oddity was the bathroom is tiny. Tub, toilet with inches to spare.

EXCELLENT VALUE. VERY ACCOMMODATING AND FRIENDLY STAFF.

First the tv didn t work and the man from the front desk had to disconnect it and than plug it in and joked that he had done it twice already but if you already had to do it than maybe they should be all fixed and than I left for an hour and came back and there was a man who slipped on ice because they failed to put salt on the sidewalks and when the front desk guy came out he didn t even care he walked back in and just called his manager instead of helping they poor man we had to get the ambulance and still he never checked on the poor man!! This place is just shittty and so are the people running it

This is a hidden gem for sure...great property all around. The pool and jacuzzi are open year round which is rare for Colorado. The front desk staff were all very professional and accomodating. The bar/restaurant is very convenient for a quick meal. Great all around.

Staying at this hotel for years I love that it is tucked away from the hustle & Bustle of Denver. It feels convenient, safe and friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfy. The breakfast is delicious, The staff always very accommodating. The pool is fun and very well maintained.

Good basic room in a convenient location. Bathroom is very small. Heater was not working in the pool.

Satisfactory. But office desk didn't have an associated chair. TV channels were all one-off as indicated by the provided guide.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Denver Southwest Best Western over the Thanksgiving holiday for 6 nights and I just want to say it was the best stay I have ever had at a hotel. The dinosaurs alone made the stay enjoyable, but the added bonus of the hot breakfast, large rooms, comfortable bed, great internet, hot tub, fantastic staff, and convenient location made this a perfect hotel. I will definitely stay here every time I go to Denver from now on.

Very nice for the price. The hot tub is hot jets are powerful! The pool was nice and lots of room for the little ones!

We purposely chose this hotel because of the location. We had planned on seeing a concert at Red Rocks. We were ending our two week vacation and stayed only at BW hotels. Thank you, Cathy and Brad Swanson

We were quoted a price before arriving and once we got there they said they would not honor it. We were supposed to receive a family and friends discount but the guy gave us half of that, accidentally charged my account more which left a hold on my bank account for my whole trip. We tried to work something out with the manager but the manager blamed the new staff for the mess up and continued to not address the situation. Management talked about giving us a refund but they are still being difficult to communicate with. The overall experience with this hotel was horrible. Other locations have done much better so I don t believe that it is the overall company, but the specific hotel was awful.

Nice hotel, good breakfast was included. This location is on the south end of Lakewood so definitely need a car to get anywhere, but easy to get to (hint, if you come off Wadsworth going North, cut through the Conoco gas station straight into the BW parking lot, saves time instead of going around Girton and Vance). Only complaint is the pillows are overstuffed and easy to get a neck crick sleeping.

The Hotel is nice and clean. All of the staff is extremely friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Best Best Western I've ever stayed at. Okay, we pulled up next to the little kiddy sand box with an awesome stego model by it. I don't know if they do it there but that would be an awesome place to have your wee little ones dig for "dinos" and find treasure...but there was a little bunny in the sandbox hopping all around that was just the cutest! We requested a roll-away bed at the booking and when we arrived to our room it was all set up, even had extra blankets for us. Everything was clean, I was very happy about this because my standards were set high coming from one who used to work in the cleaning industry on Cape Hatteras. I was often called on to re clean rentals after some other crew member failed their inspection. Breakfast was awesome, we plan on staying at this place on the way back to Alaska and we hope we are there on pork green chile day again. I hope we have more time to just hang out in the Dino room next time.

I typically go downtown and stay at the Grand Hyatt but Matt and April have made my stay at the Best Western Southwest 5 Star. Incredible customer service, genuine, and my pup River and I sincerely appreciated staying here and I plan to come back. Give these fine folks a raise.

Edit: I am adding more to this review because Christina, the manager and Marie really went above and beyond. Christina was pretty much the nicest and kindest manager I met. She showed my lil puppy River so much love. This hotel is better than any hotel I've been too. Quaint. Low-key. Charming. Clean.

Hotel staff was friendly . Clean, comfortable pet friendly hotel. Complimentary breakfast buffet was included and had a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
