If you like to eat cold steak with no seasoning Found kitchen is place to go!
I had a date night in Found kitchen Wednesday night 12/13/17, we both ordered steak.Steak was served cold no seasoning, tasteless!

We had a great meal and wonderful cocktails here. Possibly the best chicken wings ever.

This is a great addition to the northern suburbs. The farm to table concept isn't new, but Found does it well. My wife and I tried two different cocktails which were okay; not on par with the cocktail specific bars in the city, but better than most restaurants. The wine list wasn't extensive, but adequate, though the markup seemed higher than usual. The food was great; easily the best meal in Evanston I had eaten. I had an artichoke dish that was very balanced, and my wife had a steak that she enjoyed very much (she doesn't usually order steak, so I'm glad it go her "thumbs up." The prices seemed a little high, but the older crowd didn't seem to mind. The service was fantastic; the fact that it was packed on Tuesday is a testament to Found's overall quality.

Our waitress was super helpful and everything she suggested was amazing! Must have the asparagus with mushroom butter and baby spinach salad.

Was here for a holiday dinner event and food, drinks, service, staff and ambience was top notch!

The restaurant thinks it is much more than it is. The staff is enthusiastic and the atmosphere is convivial, but the food is dull, somehow overly buttered (how???), and worse than what I'd make at home for 1/16th the price. This included burned Brussels, undercooked rutabaga, tough flatbread, and the tiniest lamb meatballs in the world (though these tasty!).

Tapa style fine dish. It's a good place for small talk and fine food. I ordered lamb meat ball, and steak. The chicken wing is quite large to my surprise. The atmosphere is absolutely a plus for dining.

Atmosphere and just to go for a drink it is a great place! But when you are planning to have some kind of snack with wine or have something to eat, and you are dairy free and other possible free stuff- you are screwed and water is totally your option. Menu is very upsetting and I couldn t get anything for myself.

The food is incredible. The interior is quirky but posh. Perfect for a date or celebration. I'd add a photo but everything that we ordered disappeared too fast for me to take a decent picture!

We came for dinner and ate outside on a beautiful evening. Briana our server explained some menu items which was helpful. We ordered Classic Kale Salad, Smokey Carrots, Lamb Meatballs, Drunken Mussels and a Trout Feature. We really enjoyed sharing the uniquely prepared foods. Every item was delicious and would be enjoyable on another visit.

Only had drinks her which were made well. Decided not to eat here because we didn't like the seating.

We ordered Artichoke flat bread, it had tasteless taste, hardly defined what is what on flatbread, because of no taste it's all blended together. Stake was ok, tender, no seasoning, potato that came with it also was 100% plain no salt or seasoning, one I am making at home is much better. Lamb didn't has much of the meat, fat and bone did dominated, had no taste as if you would steam it in a microwave. I am not sure why, now I am thinking it's a restaurant for people with a health issues, than that would explain everything. Still prefer Topaz Barcelona

This restaurant has very delicious locally sourced food and good ambience and service. It also offers outside seating. It's a bit pricey, but we'll worth it. I went with my son and spilt two dishes, steak and salmon, and we both thought we would leave hungry because the portions were small. However, not sure if it's because of the quality of the food or what, but we left very satisfied and full.

Love the kitsch charm, warm welcome, delicious family-friendly food and cocktails. Live music is great to catch here too.

I wish I had never FOUND this "restaurant". I say this as a warning to anyone interested in enjoying a meal out, because for the same food you could have stayed home and gone to the kitchen inside your daughter's Barbie Dream Home. Although the vibe was cool, it was not worth the meal. The only thing faker than the food, if you can even call it that, is Kim Kardashian's butt.

Fantastic food, including healthy options. Back half of restaurant is more regular tables, but you still have that good feeling. The food is really good and well presented, and reasonable.

I went here for brunch, and it was amazing. While every other brunch place in town had lines out the door, they seated us immediately. The restaurant has a quirky, antique atmosphere with lots of interesting decor and places to sit. The food was wonderful, definitely a cut above typical brunch fare. I had a maple bacon donut which was quite splendid! Found has certainly earned a spot on my Evanston brunch rotation.

I came here with my family a couple years ago. We were celebrating my sister's, who is vegetarian, birthday. However, the rest of my family, including me, consists of a bunch of ravenous meat eaters. The food was very good, but I would have liked to see more meat on the menu. However, the meat that was on the menu was excellent, and I still remember the meatball that we ordered here several years later.

Damn the food here is good. We love the meatballs and polenta. Definitely worth a drop by if you want small plates with big flavor and friendly staff. The atmosphere is also really nice and relaxing, with hidden secrets at certain seats.

Their menu is fairly solid, with dishes that will entice the tongue and sate the appetite although their cocktail menu strays a bit into the pseudo-eclectic for my tastes.

Really wonderful food and a great atmosphere. Love the brunch, eggs benedict was great. Outdoor seating in the summer, really nice vintage furniture and service was friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend!

The vibe is great in this place, especially when sitting on the comfy furniture. The food is excellent, but can add up cost wise. Service is outstanding - efficient and polite. If you are in a rush, go elsewhere. If you want a great dining experience, relax and fall into Found!

Loved the appetizers, especially the polenta! The main course was quite bland and disappointing.. Deserts were pretty good as well.

The food quality and presentation was poor with under cooked fatty meats, messy dish arrangements, and odd sloppy looking sides (maybe it was there to be "decorative"?). Service was poor: forget about asking for a side of dressing or a drink refill.

Friendly staff and servers. I appreciated how they give you a big bottle of water for the table, since I tend to finish my water more quickly than they expect at most restaurants. The menu was pretty limited. If you don't like salads, you won't have a lot of options here. I had the mixed greens salad with a piece of salmon. The salad was rather bland, without much pop to bring it to restaurant quality. The salmon piece was small, and prepared in a way that failed to complement the natural flavors. All in all, I don't think the food was worth the price, and I wouldn't come here again.

A slightly zany but relaxed vibe, with mismatched but appealing decor. Offers a spacious and inviting atmosphere, creative and well prepared cocktails, as an excellent choice to stop by to take five, have a snack and a drink in a burg, Evanston, that needs more of this sort of thing. A nice counterbalance to the nose to the grindstone student world of nearby Northwestern.

Good customer service and nice atmosphere. We hosted our office holiday party here and it was quite nice. The servers walked around multiple times offering various special dishes. The bartender was kind & conversational, but took his time creating tabs and making payments. Although i was ready to open my tab in the beginning and pay my bill in the end, he didn't around to serving me until he served 3 other people who were closer to him first. Also, I'm lactose intolerant and nearly everything on the menu had dairy in it. It all tasted good, so don't get me wrong, but i paid for it later. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I think we'll consider going back again next year.

Best plate in Evanston. Don't go... Unless you try the twice fried chicken wings. No, really, you need these. And I don't EVER order wings. Excellent wine list and lovely service.

Wow! Everything we ordered blew my mind! Lovely amount of service, amazing vibe, and the food was lamb was cooked to perfection! Rice oil in the designated french fry frier for gluten sensitive people like myself!

it's a nice cozy place for dinner, or date night etc. My only issues thus far, is that they serve small portions of food, specifically when it comes to the entree. Also there's not a large variety to choose from. The food is good though.

Overrated. Server advised us that we should get two plates each because the food is too small. The chef did not speak with anyone at the chef view seats. The waitstaff was wearing shorts? I did not read anywhere that this was a Tapas restaurant. The salmon and flatbread were great. Hamburger was over cooked.

Incredible food. Service was well worth the 5 stars thanks to Dan our server. I like the dim lighting and the music. Different furniture and styles with low and high top tables. Crowds of all ages.

I was kind of disappointed in the hot buttered rum, but the tea was delightful, with enough honey. The glasses and serving dishes appeared antique. In any case, they were stunning. The live music on Tuesday is the main reason to be there, though.

This place has great ambiance and even better food.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great for a romantic evening. The waiters are super friendly.

The whimsical atmosphere (antique market finds, clustered seating areas, lots of visual variety) and eclectic menu make for a fantastic experience. Best suited for nibbles & drinks with an intimate group of friends versus a big sit down meal- but that's what I like about it. To put it another way, the format of the whole place is quite unique.

Great food and decor. Fun place for a meal alone, with friends, or a date. Love the French dip and avocado toast.

Having visited and dined here 3 times, I am rather disappointed in both the quality, and certainly the prices of Found. Once you get past the" living room" ambiance I found the menu and quality of food to be mediocre at best. All 3 visits were weaker and weaker and I always left hungry and poorer.

Don't think they will be around much longer.

Haven't gone for brunch, heard it was decent but , again , expensive.

We had a pleasant brunch here. Menu was limited but tasty. Prices were very reasonable. I had lamb sausage--very tasty, outstanding greens. Others enjoyed frittata, salmon toast, shakshaku, granola. Bit dubious about the activated charcoal lemonade but the bloody Maries were goog.

A must visit in Evanston! Amazing service, open air eclectic vibes and locally sourced food with a healthy spin. We ordered the Girl from Ipanema watermelon cocktail and the 2nd Chakra (old fashioned). Both were good. Had the pickled vegetables, beef burger and bone in pork chop served over succotash. Everything is shared plate style and the wait staff does a great job of spacing it out. I would definitely recommend a dinner here - they were accommodating of groups big and small.

EDIT: The restaurant charged my partner s credit card twice, with one charge being triple the original bill. I guess they don t like people who come in and pay partially with gift cards! STAY AWAY.

Kind of a weird experience. Server seemed a bit condescending, maybe because we were younger than most everyone else in the restaurant? The food was a mix of good and mediocre/bland, and everything took a long time. Overall, I wouldn't come back. It's a small plates concept, but they don't really seem to know what they're going for.

The range of crepes is fantastic, with locally sourced vegetable y and meat and homemade sauces ours it over the top. The prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Found would be great if it were well managed. As it stands, it scores better in decor and ambiance than it does in service and food. Servers push you constantly to order multiple dishes to make you spend more. They genuinely believe you should share portions even though they are so incredibly tiny that they would not satisfy even a sole patron. I'm not the kind of person to complain about prices, and I truly enjoy fine dining. But Found isn't fine, and the prices don't make sense. The owner should be more aware of the fact that he must, above all, deliver value to patrons, at whichever price point he chooses to do business. You can't charge 5-star prices for 3-star food and 2-star service.

Found is an overly complex, underwhelming menu of subpar dishes that are mostly miss than hit, which makes for a frustrating experience when you account for their grandiose attitude and terrible service.

If you find yourself there somehow, their steak with mushrooms is the only dish I can recommend.

Portions are smaller than entrees but larger than tapas size. The explanation we got about how dishes are meant to be shared by the table makes total sense when you see the size and presentation of the plates. The flavor and brightness of each dish were amazing.

The dishes we tried were delicious, but some were overpriced. Asparagus salad had little asparagus in it. Dessert we tried was nothing more than overpriced chocolate pudding. The menu suggested something more complex. Found Kitchen is a small plate type of restaurant. After our table of 5 ordered several plates, we asked to keep a couple menus thinking we would order more. Our waiter refused to leave any menu's at the table (!!!???), thus we decided not to order more plates.

Great and quirky. Food was delicious. Unbelievable oysters, farm steak, carrot cake, etc. Kinda bummed that they didn't have wings but it didn't hold me back. Waiter was attentive despite being busy. Will go again.

Terrible experience at this restaurant. We were crammed at a table right at the front door. The portions were tiny and very pricey. They pressure you to order many many dishes because the portions were so small. And, the food was just not any good. They are acting like they are a farm to table restaurant and they are just a big miss. In addition the two young women working at the hostess stand were rude and completely unhelpful to our party. I will never go back. Don't waste your money. We left with a large bill and empty stomachs.

Pricetag a bit high for portions. A bit more kitsch than kitchen.

Tastefully decorated, up-scale restaurant with moderate prices, cozy-dark atmosphere, rich drink menu, our starters(we had beet salad and brisket flatbread) were ok, they were pretty plain, main courses (we had meat balls and steak) were good, more flavorfull.
