So we stayed overnight and had dinner at Carolyn's. The room was nice and quiet, but the room has no bath tub. Dinner at Carolyn's was hit or miss. I had the steak. It was a good piece of meat and the veggies were perfect. But the potatoes were really lumpy. My wife ordered the venison Wellington and didn't want to eat any of it as the meat was way overcooked and tough. The sweet potato side dish was also burned. On a positive note tho they did have an amazing lemon vinaigrette for the salad. The wait staff is friendly with a close intimate dining area. We also loved the historic pictures around the building.

Very nice hotel. Quiet, clean, and rooms are comfortable size. Continental breakfast in the morning had a nice variety. For hotel coffee it was probably one of the better cups we've had on our trip. Kids enjoyed the pool. Also was nicely decorated, lots of fresh flowers.

The food was great. The staff was very nice. But we went to the area for wine. The staff was not very knowledgeable about the wine. This was a little disappointing since we were in wine country. We did not stay there we just went there for dinner. I would go back.

I recently stayed here, I quickly found myself wondering why I paid such a large amount of money (twice what other 3 star hotels were asking).

Service was horrible, in fact when I attempted to complain, the GM refused and still refused to speak with me. I left a day early than what I had originally paid for.

Do not stay here, do not waste your money. Don't believe what their website is claiming. The photos are doctored and the amenities need and overhaul.

This is a beautiful hotel located in a wonderful area. The hotel is located very close to some awesome wineries. We always drive through Palisade, but this is our first time staying. I teach, but I have worked in the service industry for many years. I always try to write reviews in a positive light. However this has been somewhat of an interesting stay for us. Our room had no safe for personal belongings, so we had to debate on having our room cleaned or putting out the do not disturb sign as we had jewelry and electronics that we were hesitant to leave. There was also no bath tub which is fine, but the shower head had almost no water pressure. The heated pool was closed but the hot tub was open. However we had to remove the pool cover over the hot tub. We replaced the cover after use to be respectful. We saw another couple that had to remove the cover and replace it as well before we used it. We arrived late on a Friday night, so we were hoping Saturday night we could enjoy the wine tasting. There was a sign in the lobby stating that there was a private event that night, and sorry for the inconvenience. We were told that the tasting would still be available, and it was. However the tasting was held in the main lobby along with the private event. The event was not held in a private room, so it was a little awkward for us to randomly be mixed in. We had dinner reservations at the hotel, but because of the craziness and crowd of the event in the lobby we decided to drive into Grand Junction for dinner. Again, beautiful hotel in a perfect area for seeing Palisade. Just a little disappointed for what we spent and the drive we made for the weekend.

Coming here was the best idea for a Palisade trip! The staff is outstanding! Each night, there is a house wine for guests. The selection was wonderful. Rooms were clean/big/well lit. It was worth every penny to stay here. Most hospitable treatment in years

Thieves. I am a local baker, and delivered a Wedding cake along with a beautiful cake stand and serving board to this facility last month. Was told my platters were being used to serve their guests, and then taken home by one of their staff for personal use....a month later they tell me they are lost and not responsible for my stolen goods. Food sucks, service sucks, staff is shady and untrustworthy. Yuck. Will NEVER be associated with any of these crooks again. Trash.

We've stayed her a few times over the years but it was an accidental find the very first time we stayed and now its one of our favorite "secret" places we like to visit! Plus all the wineries and breweries or meaderies in the area make for a fun visit!

What a fun place. They craft some really wonderful wines. Quiet comfortable rooms. Great host staff. Knowledgable wine staff. Spent an anniversary weekend lounging by the pool & sipping different wines. I'm a whiskey guy, but they made a good case for becoming a wino. ;)

Well, it would take the better length of a Doctorate thesis to describe why these guys are amazing, but suffice-it-to-say, there is a reason why its one of our favorites. We stay here often. The ambience, the quality of service, the staff, the bar, the food, all spectacular. But, the thing that was stellar this visit was they made everything feel like the COVID madness wasn't even happening. They were smart with how they spaced tables and how they kept things 'sanitized' and isolated. It just felt great to visit, having to adhere to health standards and not knowing anything was different. Definitely a must-stay any time you visit Palisade

Like others have posted, the inn's hard rule of not checking guests in until 16:00 should be reconsidered. We arrived at 15:50 and stood in line with a dozen or so other couples. There was only a single receptionist working and took us about 30 minutes to make our way to the front desk. We tried talking with a manager about the experience, and her attitude was indifferent at best, though she did say that there was a staffing issue - seems to me that, if nothing else, it is management's responsibility to handle staffing.

Guests don't want to waste their holiday waiting in line for the opportunity to spend their money.

This is our second time here, the property is well kept, the rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet adequate.

Too bad about "staffing problems".

Dinner 12/22 for 6. Served 3 salads and 3 main meals; salmon which was very under cooked sent back, trout over cooked and New York steak cooked OK but poor quality meat. The atmosphere was similar to having dinner in a funeral home..restaurant design/furnishing is terrible actually lifeless. Won t be back nor would ever recommend eating at Carolyn s!

Seen from the highway, you can't tell that the Wine Country Inn feels like an oasis inside. The restaurant is amazing, the pool and hot tub are super refreshing, and the staff is always super friendly.

My husband and I stayed here this weekend on our way to Moab and we loved it! The room had all the amenities that other hotels skip out on, the location was perfect for walking to the vineyards for wine tasting, the customer service was superb, and hands down their continental breakfast was the best we've ever had. We will definitely come back!

I wish we could have spend a bit more time here, the surroundings are just beautiful. The rooms are clean and spacious. I was here returning on a trip from Wyoming with my mom who is in a wheel chair and she had not problem getting around in the room.
We arrived too later for dinner which closes at 21:00, but did have a drink in the bar which enjoyed. I local wines are good and mom had a hand crafted Margarita from a local distillery which she enjoyed tremendously. With it being directly off the I70 this is an easy stop.
The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, there were bacon, sausage, potatoes, French toast, fruit, pastries, eggs, juice, coffee, and tee. This was the icing on the cake, if time allows do stop.

This was one of our favorite stays during our vacation. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and a great breakfast,. I would consider it a diamond find among the mountains and vineyards. There are three vineyards surrounding it and the mountains on the other side. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Our favorite place to stay in the Grand Junction area. Beautiful, cozy, calm with easy accesse from I-70, but you don't hear the freeway noise at all. Surrounded by a Vineyard and within walking distance to beautiful picturesque Palisade where you'llfind a Saturday farmers market in the summer time selling the best peaches in the world, Palisade peaches! Convenient to local Vineyards and the fruit and wine trail. Tons of hiking and biking available.

I was so happy the chef at the restaurant could prepare us some amazing vegan dishes-- loved the Veggie Ragout! The wine was fabulous, I normally don't like white wine but I loved their offerings. The room was perfect, amazing views and everything we could need to be happy and comfortable.

The food is great, the people are wonderful, and the pool is nice. The included breakfasts is one of the best I've had with proper egg dishes, delicious pastries, and good coffee. The only thing I didn't like was the one-complimentary-cup limit during the wine happy hour.

We arrived in the early evening and were greeted in a friendly manner. We were informed of the dining rooms and of the amenities.

Everything about this place is pristine. The lobby and hallways were clean and nicely decorated. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a king bed. It had a nice view of some mountains in the distance. The room itself was very clean and stocked.

I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

My husband and I haven't been able to stay here yet...However, a careless mistake by us caused us to miss our reservation over a weekend. The front desk staff and management were very kind and worked with us to correct the situation. We will definitely book again and recommend them to anyone looking for a friendly place to stay.

A great atmosphere, beautiful outdoor patio with pool but the rooms are very outdated. Nice, but outdated. Desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved the complementary glass of wine at check-in.

We got the family of 4 Fish Fry. Im pretty choosey about my fish but haddock is hard to find in Colorado. Im an East Coast girl and I had to cancel my trip back home with everything thats going on. So was nice to find some comfort food from home! While the fish was okay (the mac n cheese is amazing as were the fries and coleslaw). I looked on the menu to see if rhey sold just the Mac n Cheese..lol..Sadly it doesn't look like they do. I've never eaten here before so was nice even if it was take out. Thank you to the stimulus check I was able to treat my family :)

I was just coming here to stay overnight while on a road trip - so I can't speak to the wine vineyard/wine tasting part of this place. Bed was comfy and staff were super nice. I docked a few stars for the following: - The shower had very low water pressure, which was a little disappointing after a long drive - The breakfast was free, but the eating area was so small that many guests (myself included) had to take the meal back to our room. It also made me sick :( As a heads up: since this is on a vineyard, you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol into the hotel area. Also, there is a strict non-smoking policy (be it tobacco or pot).

A very nice place. Beautiful Landscape Architecture abounds. Great for weddings and events. My only criticism is if the food and beverage operation which has inconvenient hours and crash landed on a seafood dinner (theme ocean is far away, after all).
