Nice property, comfortable room and friendly people.
Nice property, comfortable room and friendly people.
Very special place. Thank you for letting us have our well behaved doggo
So we stayed overnight and had dinner at Carolyn's. The room was nice and quiet, but the room has no bath tub. Dinner at Carolyn's was hit or miss. I had the steak. It was a good piece of meat and the veggies were perfect. But the potatoes were really lumpy. My wife ordered the venison Wellington and didn't want to eat any of it as the meat was way overcooked and tough. The sweet potato side dish was also burned. On a positive note tho they did have an amazing lemon vinaigrette for the salad. The wait staff is friendly with a close intimate dining area. We also loved the historic pictures around the building.
Beautiful setting, clean and relaxing atmosphere, great food! The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is close to many of the wineries and it was a wonderful experience!
Wonderful upscale hotel in the best part of Colorado wine country. Great staff, clean rooms and nice pool. The breakfast is amazing.
Very nice hotel. Quiet, clean, and rooms are comfortable size. Continental breakfast in the morning had a nice variety. For hotel coffee it was probably one of the better cups we've had on our trip. Kids enjoyed the pool. Also was nicely decorated, lots of fresh flowers.
The food was great. The staff was very nice. But we went to the area for wine. The staff was not very knowledgeable about the wine. This was a little disappointing since we were in wine country. We did not stay there we just went there for dinner. I would go back.
I recently stayed here, I quickly found myself wondering why I paid such a large amount of money (twice what other 3 star hotels were asking).
Service was horrible, in fact when I attempted to complain, the GM refused and still refused to speak with me. I left a day early than what I had originally paid for.
Do not stay here, do not waste your money. Don't believe what their website is claiming. The photos are doctored and the amenities need and overhaul.
This is a beautiful hotel located in a wonderful area. The hotel is located very close to some awesome wineries. We always drive through Palisade, but this is our first time staying. I teach, but I have worked in the service industry for many years. I always try to write reviews in a positive light. However this has been somewhat of an interesting stay for us. Our room had no safe for personal belongings, so we had to debate on having our room cleaned or putting out the do not disturb sign as we had jewelry and electronics that we were hesitant to leave. There was also no bath tub which is fine, but the shower head had almost no water pressure. The heated pool was closed but the hot tub was open. However we had to remove the pool cover over the hot tub. We replaced the cover after use to be respectful. We saw another couple that had to remove the cover and replace it as well before we used it. We arrived late on a Friday night, so we were hoping Saturday night we could enjoy the wine tasting. There was a sign in the lobby stating that there was a private event that night, and sorry for the inconvenience. We were told that the tasting would still be available, and it was. However the tasting was held in the main lobby along with the private event. The event was not held in a private room, so it was a little awkward for us to randomly be mixed in. We had dinner reservations at the hotel, but because of the craziness and crowd of the event in the lobby we decided to drive into Grand Junction for dinner. Again, beautiful hotel in a perfect area for seeing Palisade. Just a little disappointed for what we spent and the drive we made for the weekend.
Coming here was the best idea for a Palisade trip! The staff is outstanding! Each night, there is a house wine for guests. The selection was wonderful. Rooms were clean/big/well lit. It was worth every penny to stay here. Most hospitable treatment in years
What a wonderful experience. Clean and beautiful room. Great food in the big dining room. Wonderful service
Food was good. Staff was kind. Dinner staff didn't expect such a crowd so it was a little slow but on point. Breakfast was to die for best I've had in a while
Went to Tapestry, a little way cool place to eat. Worth the drive from Fruita. Little pricey...
Thieves. I am a local baker, and delivered a Wedding cake along with a beautiful cake stand and serving board to this facility last month. Was told my platters were being used to serve their guests, and then taken home by one of their staff for personal use....a month later they tell me they are lost and not responsible for my stolen goods. Food sucks, service sucks, staff is shady and untrustworthy. Yuck. Will NEVER be associated with any of these crooks again. Trash.
The rooms are very nice, with granite in the bathrooms, plenty of towels, and decent views. Breakfast is solid as well, with eggs, bacon, and hash browns.
Very friendly staff. Clean comfortable rooms. Restaurant was clean, food was amazing. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available.
We've stayed her a few times over the years but it was an accidental find the very first time we stayed and now its one of our favorite "secret" places we like to visit! Plus all the wineries and breweries or meaderies in the area make for a fun visit!
The trout from frontier trout ranch was amazing! Best trout I have ever had! Always fun to have local farm to table food! Great atmosphere and wonderful service too!
Great hotel! Rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is quite. Complementary wine.
What a fun place. They craft some really wonderful wines. Quiet comfortable rooms. Great host staff. Knowledgable wine staff. Spent an anniversary weekend lounging by the pool & sipping different wines. I'm a whiskey guy, but they made a good case for becoming a wino. ;)
Well, it would take the better length of a Doctorate thesis to describe why these guys are amazing, but suffice-it-to-say, there is a reason why its one of our favorites. We stay here often. The ambience, the quality of service, the staff, the bar, the food, all spectacular. But, the thing that was stellar this visit was they made everything feel like the COVID madness wasn't even happening. They were smart with how they spaced tables and how they kept things 'sanitized' and isolated. It just felt great to visit, having to adhere to health standards and not knowing anything was different. Definitely a must-stay any time you visit Palisade
Like others have posted, the inn's hard rule of not checking guests in until 16:00 should be reconsidered. We arrived at 15:50 and stood in line with a dozen or so other couples. There was only a single receptionist working and took us about 30 minutes to make our way to the front desk. We tried talking with a manager about the experience, and her attitude was indifferent at best, though she did say that there was a staffing issue - seems to me that, if nothing else, it is management's responsibility to handle staffing.
Guests don't want to waste their holiday waiting in line for the opportunity to spend their money.
This is our second time here, the property is well kept, the rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet adequate.
Too bad about "staffing problems".
The breakfast and lunch were very good and the staff was very efficient and unobtrusive . The decor was very nice.
Super cute hotel, the breakfast is amazing! Try the streudal for sure! Dog friendly is a major plus. The rocking chairs around the property are quaint and all around add to the wonderful vibe of the place.
Beautiful location and easy to get to. Nice rooms and very quiet. Great breakfast as well.
Dinner 12/22 for 6. Served 3 salads and 3 main meals; salmon which was very under cooked sent back, trout over cooked and New York steak cooked OK but poor quality meat. The atmosphere was similar to having dinner in a funeral home..restaurant design/furnishing is terrible actually lifeless. Won t be back nor would ever recommend eating at Carolyn s!
Very nice place for weekend getaway for two or bring the kids to play in the pool
Excellent accommodation. Good food nice pool surrounding town nice to visit
Most peaceful hotel I've been to. They give you a free glass of good wine as well. The food at the normal restaurant is okay, but could be better; amazing rooms and service though.
There was a problem with our booking but Ian, the general manager, made sure to fix the issue!
The hotel is very nice. The restaurant is a little pricey with a limited menu. Breakfast buffet is disappointing to say the least. Not what I expected.
Seen from the highway, you can't tell that the Wine Country Inn feels like an oasis inside. The restaurant is amazing, the pool and hot tub are super refreshing, and the staff is always super friendly.
Lovely venue! Staff was warm, welcoming and genuine. Great selection of good Colorado wines available in the bar. The food was wonderful
I only visited the restaurant but I must say the food was delicious and the service excellent.
My husband and I stayed here this weekend on our way to Moab and we loved it! The room had all the amenities that other hotels skip out on, the location was perfect for walking to the vineyards for wine tasting, the customer service was superb, and hands down their continental breakfast was the best we've ever had. We will definitely come back!
Sitting at dinner 1.5 hrs in still no food, service sub par, prices high, bread boy nice.
Comfortable rooms and a great complimentary breakfast
Best hotel in Palisade! Very comfortable, super friendly staff, delicious food, convenient access right off I-70...what more could you want in a hotel?
I wish we could have spend a bit more time here, the surroundings are just beautiful. The rooms are clean and spacious. I was here returning on a trip from Wyoming with my mom who is in a wheel chair and she had not problem getting around in the room.
We arrived too later for dinner which closes at 21:00, but did have a drink in the bar which enjoyed. I local wines are good and mom had a hand crafted Margarita from a local distillery which she enjoyed tremendously. With it being directly off the I70 this is an easy stop.
The breakfast in the morning was fantastic, there were bacon, sausage, potatoes, French toast, fruit, pastries, eggs, juice, coffee, and tee. This was the icing on the cake, if time allows do stop.
Very nice rooms. Professional. Quiet. Nice breakfast. Nice view
This was one of our favorite stays during our vacation. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and a great breakfast,. I would consider it a diamond find among the mountains and vineyards. There are three vineyards surrounding it and the mountains on the other side. We will definitely return to this hotel.
Excellent service. Good location. Free wine reception every evening and free breakfast every morning!
Beautiful views, quiet and comfortable rooms. Able to walk to a few vineyards.
Excellent service, wine, and rooms. Great dinner and breakfast too!
Our favorite place to stay in the Grand Junction area. Beautiful, cozy, calm with easy accesse from I-70, but you don't hear the freeway noise at all. Surrounded by a Vineyard and within walking distance to beautiful picturesque Palisade where you'llfind a Saturday farmers market in the summer time selling the best peaches in the world, Palisade peaches! Convenient to local Vineyards and the fruit and wine trail. Tons of hiking and biking available.
The food is delicious, the wait staff was attentive but not intrusive, the ambiance however is not what it was at Carolyn's before they moved it.
I went there to get an application. It's beautiful inside.
I was so happy the chef at the restaurant could prepare us some amazing vegan dishes-- loved the Veggie Ragout! The wine was fabulous, I normally don't like white wine but I loved their offerings. The room was perfect, amazing views and everything we could need to be happy and comfortable.
Excellent place with nice rooms, great food, comfortable atmosphere, and super friendly and helpful staff. I will keep coming back.
Very nice rooms; love Jim the wine tasting rep,in the lobbyrestaurant: Charlotte's fine cuisine, friendly staff.
The perfect location for a wide county girls weekend very comfortable rooms, nice pool, and two good choices of restaurants
Beautiful vineyard/inn. Staff super friendly and food and wine are delicious
Nice property , enjoyed the stay, close to most places that are visited in Palisade.
The food is great, the people are wonderful, and the pool is nice. The included breakfasts is one of the best I've had with proper egg dishes, delicious pastries, and good coffee. The only thing I didn't like was the one-complimentary-cup limit during the wine happy hour.
I would HIGHLY recommend staying at the Wine Country Inn. We came into town via the train and they let us check in early. The staff is amazing, the area is beautiful!
Neat area....great service.....friendly atomosphere!!!
We arrived in the early evening and were greeted in a friendly manner. We were informed of the dining rooms and of the amenities.
Everything about this place is pristine. The lobby and hallways were clean and nicely decorated. We had a room on the 2nd floor with a king bed. It had a nice view of some mountains in the distance. The room itself was very clean and stocked.
I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.
Right off the interstate cool place, scenery is amazing
Great stay. Dog friendly and a great breakfast. We got to sur outside and have breakfast. It's beautiful. Also you get a free glass of wine at 5pm.
Great hotel and staff! Very nice pool and well kept grounds. They even shipped us our son s forgotten suitcase! Top level service! We will be back!
Beautiful Winery and Hotel. Everyone was nice and great customer service from the moment I walked into the facility. Wow! I especially loved the morning breakfast.
Beautiful hotel, great customer service, great location!
My husband and I haven't been able to stay here yet...However, a careless mistake by us caused us to miss our reservation over a weekend. The front desk staff and management were very kind and worked with us to correct the situation. We will definitely book again and recommend them to anyone looking for a friendly place to stay.
Attended the Live in the Vines concert on their patio. Beautiful setting and a delightful evening!
A great atmosphere, beautiful outdoor patio with pool but the rooms are very outdated. Nice, but outdated. Desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. Loved the complementary glass of wine at check-in.
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the pool was sparkling clean. We can't wait to return.
I would definitely go back. Good food. Good service. Nice rooms. Friendly people.
Comfortable place. Several couples/lovers. Excellent for quiet conversations/romance !
Convenient to orchards and helpful staff. Restaurant offers great selections. Very relaxing atmosphere.
Surrounded by vineyards, excellent rooms and breakfast plus a friendly staff.
We got the family of 4 Fish Fry. Im pretty choosey about my fish but haddock is hard to find in Colorado. Im an East Coast girl and I had to cancel my trip back home with everything thats going on. So was nice to find some comfort food from home! While the fish was okay (the mac n cheese is amazing as were the fries and coleslaw). I looked on the menu to see if rhey sold just the Mac n Cheese..lol..Sadly it doesn't look like they do. I've never eaten here before so was nice even if it was take out. Thank you to the stimulus check I was able to treat my family :)
Comfortable hotel with a good restaurant and bar. Wine tasting happens in the evening, but it's actually just a free glass of wine, rather than tasting. But hey, free glass of wine!
I was just coming here to stay overnight while on a road trip - so I can't speak to the wine vineyard/wine tasting part of this place. Bed was comfy and staff were super nice. I docked a few stars for the following: - The shower had very low water pressure, which was a little disappointing after a long drive - The breakfast was free, but the eating area was so small that many guests (myself included) had to take the meal back to our room. It also made me sick :( As a heads up: since this is on a vineyard, you are not allowed to bring your own alcohol into the hotel area. Also, there is a strict non-smoking policy (be it tobacco or pot).
A very nice place. Beautiful Landscape Architecture abounds. Great for weddings and events. My only criticism is if the food and beverage operation which has inconvenient hours and crash landed on a seafood dinner (theme ocean is far away, after all).
