Nice hotel. We only stayed one night. Our air conditioner did not function and the room was very warm. The management did provide a fan, but it wasn't enough. The dinosaur themed fossil decorations in the lobby and dining area were a hit with our kids. The hotel was also conveniently located for our trip.

Stayed 2 nights on a girls trip to Red Rocks, It's an easy 5 minute drive! Hotel was safe, quiet, comfy beds, pool was wonderful and breakfast was better than anticipated. the whole staff were really friendly was helpful. No elevator would be my only complaint. Will def stay here again in the future!

They didnt like i was pro trump and they kept saying i was making noise in room and wasn't. Breakfast is ok. I am a bestwestern gold member. I normally stay here 3-4 days amonth for business. We enjoyed our stay at this property. Rooms and public spaces were in great shape. The hot breakfast opens varied each morning and were really good. Would definitely stay there again the next time I'm in Denver.

Friendly staff,. The dinosaur theme with skeletal casts was nice. The breakfast of eggs, sausage, biscuits, and gravy was nice, as was the fresh fruit. Safe neighborhood with several local dining options.

From the time I walked through the door, my experience was lovely. Customer service was great. I went there to relax and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Everything I wanted and everything I needed for that day was provided. Best Western will always be my go to spot.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The dinosaur theme was excellent. Actual exhibits on loan in lobby. The lobby area looks like a 1940 s paleontologist s study. It s smartly done. Art work and a cozy feel. If I was a young boy into Dinosaurs I would be in heaven.

We waited 30 minutes to check-in and when we finally got to our room it smelled of marijuana. The smell was very strong. We let the front desk know and they said they would get right on it. My husband and I waited in the hallway for 15 minutes and when I never heard back from them I went downstairs to find out if they found us a new room and the lady working the front desk apologized for forgetting about it. They said that they had a pet friendly room available (we were not traveling with pets, but were ok with it) if we wanted it. We went to check out the room and when we opened up the door the smell was so bad that you couldn't even walk into the room. Overall we were very disappointed with this Best Western. The Raton and Colorado Springs locations are awesome. This Denver location was TERRIBLE!

Love staying at this hotel... Love the sandbox for children to excavate "dinosaur bones". Pool, breakfast, rooms, and helpful staff!! We have stayed two seperate times now!! Both times a great experience!!!

This hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. Jamissia at the front desk was so helpful to us! The breakfast was good with a variety of choices that looked freshly prepared. I will definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

The room was paid for but the service dog is not allowed without a fee. Is service dogs humans too? Disable and told to leave. just a visit some friends showed up in town, but I need my dog on my side.

I went to school for hospitality and I worked at Doubletree Hotel up in Westminister. I NEVER had me or my dog treated as stranger instead of a guest at this hotel. Hilton by DoubleTree will give your dog biscuits and if it's a service dog they will allow the animal into the restaurant because it is "well behaved" and not judgment of the guess of the party. The dog has to be trained to become an official service dog. Disabilities the service my dog gives me is under Federal Law full access required Ada title III I had our IDs and noedical records was not planing on staying the might it was a get- to- gether i could not pay so as the other people in the group but I get told to leave. to stay "not the night" still wanted me to pay a pet deposit $50..what?? I need my best friend to be on my side if I get a anxiety attack, seizure and vertigo from my skull fracture. I'm hoping that their branches have better hospitality and this one because from the very beginning I was irritable and frustrated. Font desk says they're going by the policy sounds best needs for more training, Kicking someone out for disability? Any fair hotel regulations? If that Meetup was not for my future I would lawyer up. The positive is that this Hotel is secured and very nice environment, historical dinosaur fossils and pool that matches but the people there don't know hospitality front desk last job was probably working at a cash register, the managers probably think a stand-up means a comedy show well what you think is what you get.

Man I really wish I wasn't woken up to be notified that I have to move because someone needed my room that I paid 2 weeks in advance for. I drove 1,100 miles and here's the kicker...the person they're moving into the room has allergies and I have my dog in the room as well as allllllllllll my belongings. The folks moving into this room will be affected by the poor choice of the hotel and hopefully they will be OK but I am extremely inconvenienced by this and am actually astounded by the fact that they'd do that to a customer with allergies. I feel bad for me but I also feel even worse for the next customer as well.

Little run down. Really thin walls I could hear everything till everyone went to sleep. But decent beds and big room. Clerks tried to make me buy a suite when I was about to go elsewhere a less expensive room suddenly became available. Would have left if not for the long day of travel.

The overall experience was good. We traveled a long way arriving with hot water. This was the reason I took out a star. The front desk staff offered discount for the night right away. Work up with hot water supplied and was able to take a good shower.

The complimentary breakfast was great. Staff refilled items fast.

The interior decor was great. All dinos decor fits Colorado. :)

Best Western of Denver Southwest is an excellent location in Lakewood, CO. We stayed there to attend a concert at Red Rocks and it was less than 10 miles away so that was great. We stayed on a holiday weekend and the breakfast area was crowded and coffee and food were running out. The laundry facility was inadequate because of a broken dryer. Only one working dryer with three people needing it. I would recommend BW Southwest because it had a nice outdoor pool, several restaurants nearby and it was convenient to Red Rocks.

Best Western was starting to win my husband & I over with great rooms & pleasant accommodations. Until their Denver Southwest hotel. We had made a reservation for a king suit w a bathtub & pet friendly. We arrived at 1pm to check in & were told our room wasn t ready but guaranteed check-in at 3pm. We managed to kill two hours w a pet in the truck, and returned at 3pm to check in. We were told it still wasn t ready & to come back in 30 minutes. So we sat in the truck with our furball for another half hour. When we tried to check in for the third time, we were then told that they didn t have a king suite with a tub that was pet friendly! Why did we have to wait almost 3 hrs for a room that they didn t even have? Why could we reserve a room that didn t exist? They offered us a queen with a tub & took a measly $5 off the price. We regularly work in Denver & were planning on making this our hotel but no way now. The office staff were unfriendly, unhelpful & slow. We re always really easy going & don t mind normal inconveniences but are pretty unhappy with the way this all went down. Don t stay here. It sucks. We are less likely to even use Best a Western now.

I stayed here once and had a lovely stay. I then thought it would be a great place to have a party and tried to plan one here. They were so difficult to work with that I had to find a new venue with in two weeks of the party. Their event planning staff is utterly incompetent. NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES plan a party here.We made multiple requests over the span of several weeks (like "send us a beer list") and they were never complied with, and then were told things like "i need a beer list by 10am" at 9 am. We were lied to about what they could offer months ago when we booked the party, and when we found out less than 2 weeks before the event and tried to come up with a solution to it, and there was no offer to do anything to make the situation any better (not even an offer of a small discount on the room rental fee). Every single one of my guests had a horrible time getting their room booked in the block. I tried politely to ask about this a few times and was met with rude, terse, and snarky responses about how they should just leave a message (they all did leave messages, multiple messages in some cases and were never called back). The good news is that at least 5 of our guests don't have to cancel their room because they were never successfully able to book a room in the first place, despite having tired for multiple weeks. DO NOT HAVE YOUR PARTY AT THIS HOTEL

Great place, reasonable prices. We loved the pool! The breakfast was a wonderful buffet of choices (all tasted good too) and nice seating! Bring the kids and they can enjoy the fossils and even ask the on-site expert about them!

Normally, a hotel such as this would deserve a better rating. We had to travel to return home during this crisis and decided to stay outside of Denver. Among all the hotels in the area, this hotel insisted on charging $30/night in the midst of this trying time. Their rate online through their Google partner showed $62 but we were charged a total of $101 upon check out. I am a first responder returning home to help our community and this is how we are treated? I am disgusted that ownership would continue to take advantage of people. I wouldn't recommend staying here just based on this fact.

Very, very nice Best Western located in a not so nice area of Lakewood, Colorado. Staff and room were nice but disappointed that the Paleo Joe's bar and restaurant in the hotel never opened. This was one reason we chose this BW. Parking lot was a bit sketchy, as there were people sleeping/living in their cars. Made us uncomfortable leaving our car parked during our stay.

We stayed at the Lakewood Best Western while travelling home to assist our home state with COVID19. Our room was okay. Very small and the bed was uncomfortable, but it was fine for a quick 1 night stay. What I didn't appreciate was the uncleanliness of the common areas, the hallway and the entrance to our room in the back of the hotel. It wasn't satisfactory for a normal day, let alone during a time when cleanliness and sanitation are so important. Dirty smears on the door (been there several days at least), un-vacuumed carpet in the hallway, overfull trash bins, etc. The hotel wasn't busy - there were a handful of cars in the lot that evening. I was disappointed to say the least. I was also appalled at the greediness of the company that operates this property. The rate listed on Google was $68 for the night. When I walked in, I was told I would have to pay $98 plus a fee for my veteran husband and his dog. After some talking to the clerk, she did bring the rate down some. What I didn't understand was why this property was charging $40+ per night more than surrounding similar properties to guests during this crisis. I felt very taken advantage of. Not something I've had to deal with at a Best Western property before. The clerk was obviously scared and had some anxiety working the desk during this time - understandable. She explained to me that she had to fight the management and ownership to get a sneeze guard installed at the desk. This told me all I needed to know about the property. How sad. I attempted to contact the management but was unsuccessful. I eventually contacted Best Western corporate. I received a refund of the pet fee and a lot of excuses from management at the property. I had asked for a refund for the entire charge, but was promptly ignored again. To date I haven't received a full refund for our stay that was at the end of March 2020. The property manager never got back to me after our initial email and refused to return any calls like a professional. This speaks volumes about the ownership and management of this particular property. I'm overall very unsatisfied and I wouldn't suggest this property to anyone travelling in the future. Bless the staff that works there, but management and ownership have a lot to learn about hospitality.

This is the most unique Best Western I've ever stayed in. The dinosaur fossils and decor add a fun atmosphere. The pool is large and there's also a hot tub. We had a king bed room in a corner of the hotel with two windows and it was quite spacious. The location is in a quiet area. Close enough to downtown for museums and restaurants but far enough out that we can still get to the mountains within minutes. Clean hotel, clean rooms and a decent sized breakfast make this hotel one that I will definitely stay in again next time I visit Denver. The only reason I didn't give the hotel 5 stars was because the lobby staff were unfriendly and not helpful when I had questions.

My wife and I stayed over night at the Best Western Denver Southwest and it was a very pleasant experience. We unfortunately were not able to take advantage of the hotels amenities such as the gym or breakfast as our schedule was too hectic but the beds were very comfortable and we slept like babies.

BW Lakewood was a nice comfortable place to relax. Easy access to interstate(s) to buzz around downtown Denver and the Sporting events. The Hotel is clean with a supportive staff and the pool area looked very inviting. I notice that several people took advantage of the restaurant in the evening and the food looked delicious. Rooms are nicely furnished, clean and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the Denver area. Oh and an extra bonus, nice shopping mall just a couple blocks away if you forgot something.

Really love the dinosaur theme! The key reader for the back door by the parking was broken so we had to walk around to another door even though our room was right by the other door. Front desk was aware but said the part takes 8 weeks to get in so not expected until end of October? But they also said it had been broken for a while.

Loved the outdoor pool but NOTHING else! Rooms were grungy, mostly the the customer service was simply AWFUL!! NONEXISTENT REALLY!!! It's too bad bc we enjoyed the pool (almost like a hot springs feel) but we will NEVER NEVER stay here again due to the rude and extremely lazy people-esp at the front desk!!! Completely uncalled for in the hospitality industry!!

Clean, well-kept, friendly. Cool factor is the collection of dinosaur skeleton models and descriptions in the lobby. Breakfast - good, as at all Best Westerns. No elevator. It's a convenient location, with parking.
