Factory tours are every 15 mins, adults pay $3. Plenty of parking including EV charging stations both level 2 and fast DC. Factory tour is brief and fun, good option for a rainy day. It gets a little crowded though.
Horrible teenagers running everything, doesn't consider that people are on vacation and are on tight schedules. If you want a tie dye shirt be willing to wait an hour in line just to be told there going on break.
Place was nice, tour was lame. Tour could have been more informative and better explaining the ice cream making process.
It's Ben & Jerry's. Line was long but it moved pretty nicely. Just a fun place to be with friends or family. We enjoyed the fun t-shirts, photo opportunities and of course the ice cream!!! Made it right before closing and missed your times so will have to revisit.
HEAVEN! The factory tour is just 30 min long, but covers all the good stuff! You'll be given a sample ( that is not yet in production ) at the end of the tour too:)
$4 tour. Better to go Monday to Friday to see actual production. The tour includes a short movie, view of production floor and small sample of flavor of the day.
The tour was cool to see but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. Nice clean factory and shop area. Still the best ice cream!
The factory tour is totally worth it, it was so awesome and magical. They not only got a factory tour but they got a cool shop, where you can buy all sorts of stuff and many of different types of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I wish I can go back again...
Gimmick is interesting for all travelers in Vermont or New England. Total boring place tour that costs a few dollars and the truth is no longer worth. On the tour you can see how to make Ben & Jerry's ice cream. This is actually a small factory and therefore you can see the production process from the windows on the second floor. At the end of the tour you get a small ice cream cone Instead of a buffet where ice cream can be purchased, some of which have stopped producing. Next to the plant is a cemetery for all the reasons that have stopped producing.
Excellent but I expected a longer visit. After the ice cream is excellent of course and there are games for children
A tastey treat on the way to Stowe! Great tour guide!
The $4 tour was well worth it, even just for the samples!
Great tour, the ice cream was amazing. Staff are all friendly and helpful.
The factory tours run frequently and cost just $4 an adult.
The guided tours last about 20 mins and include a taster of ice cream.
The tour starts with a short video about the company's origins.
The small factory floor is viewed from a glassed mezzanine where the packaging of the ice cream is the most visible process.
There is a gift shop and an ice creamery.
We found this an enjoyable stop.
If you visit Vermont but don t go to Ben & Jerry s... did you even visit Vermont?
Excellent visit even the rugrat are all her ice cream cute gift shop too
Awesome! Love the tour, the gift shop, the staff, and of course the ice cream.
Very fun and informative. Cheap tour tickets with free samples. It gets pretty crowded but what do you expect? It's a great stop if you're passing through
Awesome experience. Really a great time and delicious ice cream!!
Booked tickets for the 30min tour with Noah. Super interesting walk through the factory and ice cream making process, ending with a bonus ice cream sample. They have non dairy samples if requested - I tried the lemon sorbet and then had a cone of chocolate chip cookie dough after the tour. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
The factory tour was an awesome event. Reasonably priced, informative and generous sampling of ice cream at the end.
Nice tour go overview of company and ice cream making process
Visiting Ben & Jerry's was one of my highlights on a trip to Vermont. I thought that the referral that directed me to be sure to check out the graveyard seemed a little odd, but do not regret taking that referral and have suggested others do the same.
Bottom line: fun place to visit and tour don t miss the graveyard!
Short tour that ends with an ice cream sample, like. Great for kids and grownups. It's a fun way to kill 45minutes.
Impossible to participate in the tour, due to an exaggerated queue.
Visited in August 2011
Was a very nice visit and factory tour. Free ice cream that Ben and Jerry's haven't made yet! The tour itself is okay. They go over the production and product lines in good detail. The gift shop is pretty good. I'd recommend visiting the flavor graveyard. There are a lot of flavors I'm surprised they even made.
If you did want to go on the tour thinking you will be given a good size sample, you re wrong. The one sample they give you is tiny and you will feel like you need to buy one at the end, which is overpriced. I would recommend skipping the tour and just visiting the flavor graveyard and getting ice cream.
they have tours for 4$ and at the end they give you a sample of ice cream. they have also a greveyard of the flavors that were interrupted
If you want to do a tour I recommend booking a couple days ahead. If you can't do a tour, it's still fun to stop by for a scoop of ice cream that you can't find on the shelves of your local supermarket.
Good to know where our ice cream comes from and how it's made...
Super cool and fun tour with a nice tasting at the end.
The original factory of one of the world more famous ice creams. Be sure to take the tour as its entertaining and interesting, plus you get a nice tasty sample.
The tour was ok really...poor young lady tried to keep the "dairy-air" (derriere)joke going, but missed the punch line. There wasn't any production going, so nothing to see. However the best part was the sampling. Group size was rather small so we ended up with seconds yay....picturesque area.
Merchandise is cool, tour is very short, line for ice cream is obscenely long.
Fun experience. Great space for parking. Amazing Ice Cream. My rating is not higher because of the price of the purchase and the missing positive vibe from most staffs.
Our tour guide wasn't having her best day, but one can't help but enjoy visiting Ben & Jerry's. $4 which includes a free sample at the end of the tour. During summer, fall, and the holiday season, tours can sell out quickly, resulting in wait times of up to two hours. Plan accordingly. You are welcome to come by and purchase tickets for a later tour time, head off to visit the area, and then return for your specific tour.
If it's on your way, sure, go eat some ice cream. The staff is great. Didn't do the tour though. Nice park in the back of the property.
Great experience and very cool and interesting company history and culture. Only wish they would tighten their rules on the quality of milk and cows.
Good people, good tour, only the best ice cream! Coffee, Coffee, buzz, buzz, buzz!
Great I've cream, very long lines especially on weekends
The grounds were nicely kept and they have a cute playground outside for the kids. The tour was pretty quick but memorable. And of course who can forget the icecream at the end of the tour =) if you are in the area then you have to come visit this place.
Crowded. It didn't thrill me, but the ice cream was good. Tourist trap.
A great place to try, be sure to bring the kids. They offer tours and have all the ice cream you could ever hope to eat. Oh and there are beautiful mountains surrounding you so it's pretty much a win win.
Tour is fun and not super long but it was entertaining learning the history and trying a new flavor.
Wicked cool tour. I couldn't believe they only charged $4.00! Seniors were 3, and kids were free. You'd have to check the age as I wasn't paying attention to that. But a very nice lady with a great sense of humor gave us a worthy tour of the facility. First a pleasant video, then she took us upstairs to "the mezzanine" and then explained all the processes, and why they are important. Then of course there was a tasting of an exclusive flavor to that facility. Today it was "gimme s'mores" and I'll tell you what, it was delicious. Ben & Jerry, you've never let me down. Thanks for the tour.
Tour was cheap. And 30 minutes long. I felt like Charlie arriving at the Wonka Factory
No factory operation on weekends, long lines for the scoop shop
If you like them, this will be fun. When I toured they had the flavor appily ever after. It was the best thing I ve ever had. Please make it.
Great playground, good service. Very friendly employees.
Such fun! Learn about Ben and jerry, tour the factory, and eat some ice cream. Come when it's warm and enjoy the sun in one of their green spaces. Great for kids too!
Really good time, as expected. Just be aware that the lines can get long in the summer and account for spending a least a couple hours there if you want to do the factory tour (you should) and get ice cream afterwards
Ice cream is the most amazing. Fresh, creamy, delicious. The long line however, not so much. 1.5 hours in the cold waiting to get to the front.
Nice place for kids and yummy little samples at the end.... But the tour is too short and the tour guide was boring us with him lame jokes.... Inspiring to know the story if you plan to start a business!!!
Great for icecream, but they don't make sloppy Joe's
It is an American classic. Wherever I go, when I have this it just makes everything better. Happy I stumbled upon one here today!
$3 entrance fee (senior) ...6 minute POLITICAL movie (didn't need that)...small ice cream sample. Save your money..and just buy the ice cream they sell outside! I do not get it!!!
The tour was good. We watched an informative movie that made me laugh at something inappropriate my husband noticed. Then we saw the factory. I liked that the different areas were numbered so I knew where I was supposed to be looking. We got to sample the almond sugar cookie ice-cream... It was heavenly! Can't wait to go back.
I visited with my daughter 2/1/2020. The tour should be free. You spend 5 minutes watching a video and about 15 minutes in one room with viewing windows where the only process you can actually see is ice cream pints being capped; as another reviewer stated, just google pics of stainless steel piping and get your ice cream at the grocery store. The $4 tour fee isn't exactly justified by the 1oz of ice cream you get to sample afterward. We also bought cones ($14+ dollars for 2 small); one of my flavors had a gritty texture (the ice cream, not the flavorings). I love Ben and Jerry's ice cream but seven layer bar is GROSS. The only thing that wasn't disappointing was my daughter's company.
This was such a fun place to visit. The tour was a bit short in my opinion but still enjoyed it and the ice cream sample at the end was delicious.
Even though the tour wasn't open because of covid, we still had a great time. The people were friendly and the icecream was delicious. The place was really clean, and I saw numerous people cleaning railings, chairs etc. Both times I went.
You have probably read both good and bad reviews of this place and wondering which one is accurate. The factory tour is not a tour. That is a fact not an opinion. There is a viewing window where you can see the factory through the window after a 6 min video about the Ben and Jerry's history. The factory is a room with some metal tubes and buckets and might not be operational when you visit. In my opinion it should be free to look through this window but it costs $4. Then you get a small sample of ice cream on your way out.
The staff is always friendly but as a small business things tend to break down and get a little behind, small lot , parking at exit 7 plenty of room truck stop has a very nice deli great food good staff terrible coffee when waiting for Ben and Jerry's just be patient
Tour is nice, with a sample at the end. Can't take pictures of the equipment / floor.
