The tour guide was enjoyable and his puns were certainly something to remember. Ben and Jerry's is generally a pretty good company as a whole but the staff here really made the experience great.

Just went yesterday, kids were excited.Had no idea we would pay for the tour which is just a movie, plus some political propaganda the after movie, then the factory which was watching people clean and no production so the kids had no interest. Then getting a sample,I have been on a lot of factory tours, and this was by far the most disappointing.Nothing special besides maybe the ice cream shop which the line was crazy long and the kids didnt want to wait.So we bought pints and brought them back to hotel which we could have just stopped at a mini mart and done.So end result not worth the trip.Thankful for so many other great things to do in Vermont!!

Drove over from Hanover and it was worth it. Not too long and not too short. The sample we had was amazing and it was fun going with friends. We tried the mini Vermonster and it was great. Tickets were $4 for adults for the tour when we went.

Best ice cream, of course! We have done both the regular and the new VIP tour, both of which cost money. The factory is definitely a tourist stop if you're in the area and is crowded on weekends. You will probably have to wait for a tour and wait in line at their ice cream stand, but I recommend both. The VIP tour adds the opportunity to make ice cream, and I think the cost is a little steep ($125pp). There are many options for swag in their store including T-shirts, water bottles, coffee cups, candles, key chains, Christmas ornaments, etc. We are in the area a couple of times a year and usually stop, at least to get a cone. Kids love it and look forward to it.

I love coming here to help is always super nice the facilities are always super clean, and the ice cream is unbelievable! The only negative I actually have to give is that the prices are a little steep. A one scoop sundae for $8 it's a little rough. However if you really want a nice treat in a really nice place this is a great place to go.

Omg

A fun side trip.

What to expect- playground for kids. Very short tour of factory, you won't be going into the factory but instead viewing it from behind glass windows. Sample of icecream (their choice, not yours)
Large gift shop. And a very extensive list of Ben and Jerry icecream to purchase

A must see with the family if you are in the area. Larger than expected free samples of ice cream at end of tour. Next visit I will allow for more time so we can sit down and enjoy the vermonster!

Very nice experience of how ice cream is made. The tour is quite quick and usually there isn't much waiting. It includes a small movie about Ben and Jerry's history, followed by a very high level overview and then tasting.

The wait was long and extremely unexpected. Be prepared to wait no matter what time you arrive. A really cool place! We made it only in time to order from the ice cream counter. I was disappointed that their selection was almost exactly the same as my local scoop shop. I was hoping to order another flavor that isn't readily available.

Enjoyed the factory a lot. The tour was also pretty fun, it's short but at the end you get a sample of their ice cream of the day. If you're in the area you should definitely check it out! There's a Gift shop in the factory and at the top of the hill you can see the flavor grave yard!

I stop here every time I come up to Vermont (about once a year) and my family loves it. There's always fantastic flavors, some of which are only there at the time, all served in great cone and cup varieties. If you're up for it try the Vermonster with a few friends it'll change your life.

Tour was okay, but disappointing and not worth a special trip from town even it was free ($4 per adult, free for kids under 12). A guide basically shows you a corporate promotion video, walks through a very brief explanation of how ice cream is manufactured, and then you get a small paper thimble of ice cream (our flavor was delicious but available for purchase anywhere for only a few bucks more than the tour) before you enter the gift shop. Skip the tour and buy a pint instead.

Vermont is a very special place to me and especially because when i visited, i got to go to ben and jerrys! i went on the tour and the man working the tour was very funny and his puns were lame but i laughed anyways. it was very cool and very worth the wait. the ice cream was so good and lives up to all the excitement! When i was there i got brownie batter ice cream it was so good! it tasted just like that without the possibility of getting salmonella ahha. i love how they do a lot for the world as well, raising awarness for environmental and social issues is very important for big companies to do. its good to see they havent lost the values they had at the beginning when they were just a small lil ice cream buisness. While i was there I saw these two men that looked EXACTLY like mario and luigi even the way they were dresses it was almost like they were dressing up in costume and i wanted to tell them they looked like mario and luigi But then they kissed and i thought that might be awkward if i said they looked like two brothers if they were dating so i didnt. but i always laugh when i think about it. This is also where my profil pic comes from, a table at Ben and Jerrys had the sweet little designs everywhere and i couldnt help but snap a photo of this smiling chef. very glad i did because he is now a staple of my reviews i like to think. for those who enjoy these long rambling stories of my adventures and experiences at these places. i like to think of reviews like that, little stories or scrapbooks of peoples adventures. even if they are sometimes negative. theyre a small snapshot of somebodies personal experience. Anways, i love Vermont so much and i love Ben and Jerrys. All very good memories for me :)

I lived in Vermont for 4 years and never visited this place. Man did I ever miss out! Finally got a chance to go and it was such a cool experience. The tour is only 4 dollars for adults and you get to see how they make the ice cream. Then the best part...a tasting of a unique ice cream flavor!

The Tour is fun. A little short and they weren't making ice cream that day. Definitely call ahead to find out if they are making ice cream. The line at the ice cream shop was insane! I wish they had somewhere to buy normal food. Had to go to town to get lunch.

Be sure to join the tour, not just to learn the process of ice cream making. The real star of the tour is the ice cream sampling at the end. They let you taste whatever flavor that is freshly made that day, and you can really taste the difference! The flavor graveyard is also worth a visit. From there you can have a full view of the factory and the surrounding area.

Was pretty disappointed. The ice cream shop didn't have either of our favorite flavors. The tour was $4, but all it was was a videos and view of one room from a bridge and a political film that solicited money.
I found out they while they still use all natural premium ingredients, they are owned by Unilever, one of the worst corporate pollution records with the environment, and all their gift shop stuff is made in China, well known human rights violators and polluters as well.

3 stars for the ice cream, -2 for everything else. I'm an adult woman that wanted to learn about your ice cream and eat some ice cream. I don't need to be lectured by two old rich guys, making money doing the same things they insult the other old rich guys for doing.

The factory tour is nothing to write home about, but it is the birthplace of some pretty fantastic ice cream, so you can't really complain. Tours are frequent and last 30 min. At the end, you get nice sample of the goods. There is also an ice cream shop, so you can get your fill of the Benjamin and Jerry's.

Very funny tour guide and something inexpensive and fun to do if your in the area with a bonus treat at the end. Lots of parking available and friendly staff. Tour is 30 mins long with a 10 min movie but it goes by really fast the last stop on the tour your served a sample of ice cream yum yummy!!
