It was so much fun and our tour girl was corny in a funny way. As you can see, the line was super long to get icecream so we just ended up eating the giant sample of Cherry Garcia they gave after the tour.

I like Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream but, getting it fresh from the factory takes the flavor to a whole new level!! If you have the chance to stop in you have to try it. Even though we stood in line for about 30-minutes I still s a y it was worth it!
Really nice place to go with the family kids will have a blast there is a really nice playground outside and of course the ice cream is excellent. Go up and enjoy the tour check it out
Quick and fun tour. Their ice cream is delicious and it's great to have learned about their history and missions. The line for ice cream was quite long though, so prepare for that.
So much fun. And so tasty. They're gift shop is so cool. They have so many little trinkets and souvenirs and the tour was really cool! If you're in town and you have an hour to kill take the tour. It's super fun.
Good time. U watch a 7 minute movie and they show u factory floor. Get a good bit of ice cream as a free sample at end. $4.00 to get in. $3.00 for seniors. There is cool gift shop. And u can buy a cone or cup of ice cream. Plus cementary of dead flavors. Play ground for kids. And live cows.
Love love love coming here! We drove 3.5 hours with the kids just to come get the tour and some ice cream.. the your is cute and you learn a few things that you might not have known. Plus the ice cream sample is a nice bonus. The gift shop is not over what you would expect a gift shop prices to be. The I've cream graveyard is funny and we'll put together. Great place for kids!
If you love Ben and Jerry's ice cream, this is an important stop! 4$ factory tours (3$ for seniors, free for kids 12 and younger) that last about 30 minutes, fun park for the kids and of course all the Ben and Jerry flavors you can think of.
Crowded, but well organized and run. The ice cream was phenomenal, but you better know which one you want already going in, and or have a better memory than I do. They list the flavor names but not whats in it. If you're a Ben and Jerrys fan this wont be a problem, but if not a quick google of the flavors would be a good idea. The tour was cute, short, and the samples they give you at the end are a decent size. I would recommend this place to any lover of ice cream.
I loved everything about Ben & Jerry's........I have taken the tour 4 times !! I love getting to taste the sample of the day..and more too..love the grounds all around Ben & Jerry's too !! I will definitely come again and again !!
the tour is 2 min worth where they show the factory operations from way up..you cannot take pics ..you get to taste 1 new flavor..interestingly there is lot of crowd which i was not expecting
My daughter came from Michigan to visit, so we dicided to drive from Boston to Vermont. We didn't know that: 1) We needed to pay $4 for the "so called tour" (more like looking through glass). 2) We paid retail price for the icecream despite being at the factory. 3) Wouldn't recommend it.
This is a really fun tour. Visitors can tour the factory where the ice cream is made, then sample a new flavor they're working to create. When you're done, visit the graveyard where they pay tribute to discontinued flavors. Of course, there is a gift shop, and there are a couple of photos ops on the premises. Best part - the ice cream sundaes that they sell at their front window!!
I wish i could put more stars on. Dont think this is anything like the PEZ factory. The PEZ factory was a total scam unlike this tour. THis tour was fantastic. IT WAS LIT FAM
It's crowded, but that's to be expected. Pretty good playground for the little ones. You have to wait a while to get a tour which we didn't do. We killed a couple hours here.
One of my favorite ice creams ever, but I am giving them a low review because it is owned by Unilever corporation. They sold out! It is not the same company anymore. They support support GMOs and don't care about the earth, the people of this planet or politics anymore like the companies original principals was founded on.It is a shame the company had to sell out to them.
Can you love a place a little too much? Try the fresh made ice cream, especially flavors you can only find here! Do the tour too if you're a "how things work" nerd. Loved it! And the graveyard of retired ice cream flavors - a trip down memory lane. Ben and Jerry, 2 NY imports who improved the state immeasurably, just like brother Bernie!
Why would someone even rate this place a star lesser. To me this place is historical and when you watch the short movie that they run at the start of the hourly tour, you will know how Ben & Jerry's has survived the test of time.
The factory is just humongous and you will know it when you enter through the spacious parking area and they have two of it. We were welcomed by a long queue of ice cream fanatics waiting in line to try/buy the plethora of flavors they offer at the counters. They offer hourly(not sure on the frequency) short tours that are led by some enthusiastic teens who go through their standard script without making it boring for the audience.
We were shown a movie(like I called out before) on its inception and survival through time and later taken to an aerial view of the machinery that produces the ice creams. The cleaning was happening by the time we got there but we were shown another movie on the production process while we stood there. Then we were brought down for trying some free samples before the tour ended.
The most fascinating part to the trip to us was visiting the Ice cream graveyard that literally had cemeteries to honor those flavors that were stopped from production with details on how long they were active. They also had some cows that were grazing and gracing the factory ;) We then went to stand in the long queue for ice creams and got some great flavors. If you are visiting the beautiful state of Vermont, make sure you are visiting this place too.
I swear Everytime I visit this place it rains. But even with the rain the ice cream was great. The staff was friendly and helpful. I'll stop in again on my next trip to VT.
Six stars if you are an ice cream addict. The tour is short but sweet and of course there is a tasting at the end. The gift shop is surprisingly good and the flavour graveyard is worth a look.
The leadership at Ben & Jerry's is okay. You learn some interesting facts and can take a quick look at the production. It's a shame that you can't take pictures of it, but it's understandable and not unusual. At the end of the tour you get a delicious taste. All in all a nice experience in beautiful Vermont. And if it's your birthday, you get the tour for free and a voucher for an ice cream in the waffle.
Or visit was fun and sweet, and crowded as expected. The tour was fine, but so many people, it was hard to see what was being described. The sample though was delicious. The gift shop had the usual touristy things.
A fun (and delicious) stop for locals and tourists! Especially nice for kids. Aside from the unique activities set up by Ben and Jerry's, there is a small playground allowing kids to get rid of any pent up energy they may have from traveling. Be prepared for long lines to buy ice cream, though. It is a popular spot! Aside from that, I would rate it 5 stars!
Wow. Very fun place and educational. Didn t know this place existed and was by luck we found out about it. Took tour and learned the history of Ben & Jerry s and it was very informative as well as how the ice cream is made. Also the tasting of the ice cream was a hoot.
Great tour. Inexpensive. Nice location. Wish there was more to do. Nice scoop shop and don't forget to check out the flavor graveyard!!! If you love Ben & Jerry's you'll love the tour.
They really need to reconsider the line situation.... waited in line for 40 minutes, in rain and cold wind blowing. Perhaps the could set up individual to go cups of ice cream in advance and have an express line for just those..since looked like that is what most customers were buying. Disappointed no tours due to covid.
