Dustin and Stephen were efficient and thorough in their installation of our new furnace.

I really like the folks with Bel-Red, every time they send someone up to work on my water heater or furnace, the tech is polite, professional, and diligent. Today we had John D. in to do the annual work on the water heater, and Sam K. here to to do the annual work on the furnace and heat pump. Both were fantastic: answered all of my questions, informed me of and showed me potential issues with appropriate details. They did thorough work and I very much appreciate the effort from John and Sam, as well as the folks in the call center that do the scheduling and courtesy calls (e.g. letting me know when the tech would be arriving). All around quality service. Adding to this: most recent visit from technician Lawrence B., he also polite and took time to answer my questions and talk through any issues with our heat pump. I like that he and Bel-Red take seriously the precautions around health during this time. Very good folks and I really appreciate the work they do.

On May 22, 2019, Richard Saxton and his apprentice, John, installed our new hot water tank. The work went quickly, with no interruption to our usual activities. They did not have the proper vent pipes, so installed a temporary set, and scheduled to install the correct ones. On June 7, 2019, Ray Becraft installed the new ones. Today, June 14, the Issaquah inspector gave us the OK for the new water heater. Way to go BelRed! For years we have used BelRed for our plumbing and natural gas equipment and have been completely satisfied with the quick and professional work they have done.

Chad C. was very thorough in explaining what was wrong with our furnace. Better to know now and get it fixed before the dead of winter!

I had my heat pump installed today. I really like as equipment installed as two guys (Ray B. and Brett M.) who completed installation. Process was easy from very beginning. I really recommend this provider.

I know all of the jokes about plumbers, but y'all... this was such a breeze. I have to specifically call out Jeff Richter for coming out to do a check of our home plumbing systems. Perfectly on time, great with my kid and dog, mad great suggestions to improve our home, and no hard sell at all. Was welcome in my house, and was able to come at the same time that Chad Coote was checking out our heating and AC with just as professional and kind and bluster free a manner. Both just great, easily set up appointment, and flawless service and no pressure means that I will use BelRed again and again.

We wanted to switch the main water valve to a solid one. I contacted several plumbers and no one followed up. I contacted Bel-Red, got an immediate appointment for a few days later. The plumber, Richard Saxton, did a fabulous job a few days later, completing the work in under an hour. The price was less than I had offered to pay other plumbers, who didn't follow up with me. I am very grateful for Richards professionalism, cheerfulness and excellent work.

Jeff dealt with a broken water supply pipe at my home in a very creative and professional way. He set up the appointment with the pipe drilling company which drilled a new pipeline from the street to my house bypassing the broken supply pipe. Jeff was courteous and worked to make the process as painless as possible.

Austin Shook was our service specialist today, and is a very conscientious worker. He parked the service vehicle across the street where it was easily visible from our window before approaching the house which was a nice safety focused touch. We've had yearly services with Bel-Red for years, so the change to Peace of Mind was a no brainer for us! Just like regular oil changes, these annual tune ups protect our furnace and give us peace of mind for a warm and cozy winter. Bel-Red seems to be everywhere, I highly recommend them- every maintenance visit has been a positive interaction. Sure, they inform you of other things that you could do to enhance your current unit, but it is not scare tactic or high pressure push- just information to use to make your home comfortable

I am really unhappy with the process of installing new HVAC equipment. Consultant excluded the proposed placement of the heat pump behind the garage, due to the low clearance to the gas meter and an electric meter and suggested placing the unit to the other side of the house where my bedrooms are. He ensured that the unit is really very silent and will not be a problem. After installation completed I figured I signed up for a nightmare. Bosch they're selling is fairly noisy and is very well heard through the wall from my living room and my bedrooms. I contacted consultant Chancy several times but despite promises never got callback from a project manager, so I guess they're playing a dead fish game with me. Funny thing when I took a tape measure myself, I measured 118 inches between meters, and apparently the 29" unit fits just fine to have 3 ft clearance from each side (do the math). So for $16000 I've bought myself a lot of troubles. It wakes up me and my little son. Thinking to hire other company, pay $2000 more and move the unit around. I do not recommend trusting BelRed Energy, unless you're savvy enough in local codes and permits and you do the measurements yourself.

Update: after manager contacted me and addressed my concerns, they agreed to move the unit to my initially proposed placement behind the garage away from living space. Hopefully that would solve my noise issue and make me and my neighbors happier :)

Bel Red was called to my home for a gall furnace service (change filters, etc.), but the serviceman tallied up $1700+ in repairs, but said I really need a new furnace. My house is only 10 years old. After he walked out the door, I tried to turn my furnace on, and it would not work. I paid him for the service call only - something wasn't right. I then called Bob's Heating & A/C. They sent a serviceman who found wires to the blower had been disconnected and left dangling. Nothing else needed to be done. Nothing else faulty with the furnace. I gladly paid another service charge to Bob's Heating - they saved me the cost of a new furnace. I am an older, single lady and I believe Bel Red was clearly taking advantage of me. Be smart, get a second opinion.

David Shelton did a great job helping us consider all the issues involved in selecting our new heat pump and furnace. He was very personable and professional, and was able to present the facts we needed in a clearly understandable way. He also provided several options, along with pros and cons of each. My new furnace installation took 2 days to complete, not the fault of the installers who were sick, but I wish that dispatch would have re-scheduled the install from the beginning. Tracy J was supposed to have a partner, but the partner was sick. So Tracy tried to remove the old furnace by himself, but he got more and more ill, so couldn't finish the job. Cody and Russ came to help him as much as they could. Russ expertly completed the wiring, thank you! On the second day, Jose S was well enough to finish the install. He had a ton of experience, you could tell by the way he expertly managed the remainder of the install. We're very happy with the result, just wish it didn't have to take 2 days, but it's probably worth it to have the furnace installed the right way!

We have never been more impressed with a service company than what we experienced with Bel-Red. We had an HVAC emergency and they were responsive without taking advantage of the situation. We were offered multiple options to fit our budget and given a few paths to take in order to get our heat working with a longer term plan to follow up on. We had a great experience with the team of Jake P, Fernando O and Cody M. We called at 7:00 am Monday, Presidents Day and Jake arrived two hours later. He diagnosed the problem with our furnace and we determined it was most cost effective to replace it. The new furnace arrived the next day and the install by Fernando and Cody was flawless. They trained us on how to use the Nest thermostat and now our house is warm again. Thanks!

We replaced our unreliable old water heater with a new tankless heater, and Richard at BelRed did a great a job with it. He did our initial quote for the services and explained all our options, and then later did the work to replace heater. He was on time, very knowledgeable, and showed us how to change the settings on the new heater.

We've also used BelRed for furnace maintenance, and the technician Aaron was very knowledgeable and helped us extend the life of our furnace for a couple of years. We will be calling BelRed again when it's time to do the full furnace replacement.

Jeff came this morning to check my water heater and plumbing throughout the house. He was very pleasant, efficient and explained what he was doing. Aaron also came to check my furnace; again very pleasant, efficient, and explained what he was doing. Wonderful service!

We are on the monthly plan for year-round servicing of our heating, cooling, and plumbing. We've been customers since 2004 and have never been disappointed by the efficiency, expertise, and customer service from BelRed.
Today, John Dickinson came to check our plumbing and flush out our hot water heater. He checked every sink fixture and toilet for leaks and checked their water pressures.
He was knowledgeable about his job and he was respectful of our our property and health (booties, gloves, face mask). Further, he had excellent communication skills in terms of listening and explaining. He is an example of why we will continue to rely on BelRed!

James P did a very good job explaining to me about the health of my HVAC system and went over steps on how to take care of the system. All the technicians that I have interacted with at Belred have been very courteous and are knowledgeable.

Dustin H. and Brett M. performed our installation. They were professional, polite, and did everything necessary to ensure that our new system was properly installed, fit well in the available space, and operating just the way we wanted. Russ H. installed our air scrubber, performed the start-up, and ensured we were all set. All three were a pleasure to work with and made sure that everything was clean and we were happy before they left.

BelRed seems to care deeply about providing a high level of quality. When the technicians left, my garage was cleaner than when they showed up. That said, they are not the cheapest, but it's worth every dollar for what you get.

Jose and Joel installed our new furnace. It took a little longer but they were meticulous in installation and cleanup afterwards. They made sure that everything was done according to code and explained clearly to me. I was very satisfied with their work.

Richard & Jon were fast, friendly and professional -- they knew their trade, were right on the money with their diagnosis, were honest about the condition of my outflow piping, did not complain a peep about working in my awful crawlspace, and referred me to an excellent septic service that was able to take care of the underlying problem. The willingness to freely provide the referral was itself worth a glowing review in my book: it takes a lot of confidence and integrity to know and point out when another expert might be better suited to solving a problem. Excellent service from the technicians. They showed up on time and delivered the job promptly. Hoa and Jordan were really nice, spent enough time explaining what they were doing, answered all my questions and ensured that the installation was done correctly. These guys deserve recognition for their excellent work.

[Update]
After 1 month of running with the new system, I have to say that I'm disappointed. I installed a heat pump system that cost several thousands of dollars to replace my old gas furnace. Prior to the installation, I was told that I would save significant money on the system over time, because it was much more efficient. I was provided with estimates that showed me savings of 80% against my previous system. However, when the bill arrived, it ended up higher than any of the previous months of the season and the same month of last year!

Upon investigation, I realized that it's actually hard to save money on a heat pump, no matter the fact that it's more efficient. In WA, just like in other states, electricity prices vary based on usage. So, the first 600 KWh cost differently than the rest. Because a heat pump uses electricity instead of gas, my over-600-KWh electricity usage increased significantly, causing my bill to be higher. In other words, while the heat pump is more efficient, the cost of energy units are more expensive with the brand-new heat pump than with the 18-year old gas furnace!

I understand that this is not BelRed's fault entirely. This is on the energy company. Yet, I was provided with information that led me to believe that I would invest thousands of dollars up front, to recoup them over time. In reality, I will not only not recoup that, it looks like I will actually spend more money.

I'm disappointed and I don't think that BelRed did a good job at analyzing and sharing the cost and benefits of the system that was offered to me.

Ben Youn was on time, efficient & knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him as a HVAC tech.

I don't usually write online reviews but my experience with Bel Red's plumbing service (specifically Richard Saxton) was terrific!

I noticed that a draining issue in the bathroom tub after giving my kids a bath one night. I tried liquid plumber and I think I made it worse.

I use Bel Red for primarily other home services but I decided to try their plumbing services. I called to schedule and to my surprise they were available the same day.

Richard arrived on time and was polite and knowledgeable. He assessed the problem, went over the solution with me, and went straight to work. It was a hassle free process.

He even guided me in preventing the problem in the future.

I loved the experience and will definitely be calling Bel Red for all of our future plumbing needs.

Highly over priced. I end up paying less than half of their invoice with other company to fix the issue with my furnace.

Jamie was prompt and very pleasant. The work was done and tested quicker than expected.

Jose S. the main installer was great. He knew what he was doing and our major installation job kept on track and schedule. He worked well with Fernando O. and Ray B., instructing them along the way. However, Brandon R., the installation manager arrived for about 1 hour on the first day of our 4 day job. He told us he would be there each day and provide us with an update on the installation progress. That never happened. Brandon disappeared after that first hour and we never heard from him again throughout the entire installation and post-installation process. If that's the type of support they provide, BelRed then shouldn't promise something more. So we give BelRed a 5 star on their installation and the folks who did the work. We give the support/management end of BelRed a 1 (if that) star on their over-promise, under-deliver approach.

Richard Saxton of Bel Red Energy is an efficient, accurate, professional at plumbing. He is also courteous and trustworthy.

I'll choose Bel Red Energy for all of my plumbing and heating needs.

Jeff came out to look at my water heater. He was professional and polite; arrived within the window that the home office said. Got things taken care of efficiently and showed me the basics of using the new heater. I asked him about the possibility of a tankless heater and he gave me honest feedback (which was that a tankless heater probably wasn't an option since I live in a townhouse and would need permission from the HOA).

We had Bel-Red install a new furnace and new water heater tank at our home. The quality of the install on both were really good and they were thorough at explaining how the work was done, including some recommendations. Every Bel-Red tech that we've worked with, either that came to our home or through the phone, were really friendly and courteous. To the techs that installed our new furnace, Brandon A. and Michael S. And also Phil S. who installed our new water heater tank - awesome job! Thank you! He did the complete furnace check and was thorough on all levels. I would highly recommend him to any customer.

I had my annual maintenance service. Ben Tu, my service person, up on time, and was thorough, professional and honest. He provided input about some items that will probably need to be done in the future, but didn t try to push them on me for immediate service. I started using Bel Red after they took great care of my 95 year old neighbor a couple of years ago and were great with her. I was so impressed with them that they earned my business, and I am always pleased.

I scheduled Air duct cleaning and Furnace tune-up. Gabriel did great job. He took time to explain to me in detail all that he is going to do as a part of the service. He took enough time and did a great job with Air duct cleaning. He then completed the Furnace tune-up. He didn't seem to hurry things did the job with great quality. I would definitely recommend Bel Red to my friends.

We had a Tankless Water Heater installed by Jeff and John. The job was done well and looks clean. It was nice to have each step explained before they started the work. From start to finish the installation went well.

Gabrial came to our house twice. Once to clean the ducts and a second time to install the Aeroseal duct sealing product. On both occasions he was professional and discussed what he would be doing beforehand. Gabriel has a good work ethic and truly wants to do a good job. After the work was completed we went over the reports showing the improvements in the HVAC system. More importantly, I can feel the difference as the house cools off faster than before the work was performed.
Bel Red in general did a great job in sales and installation of our new furnace/heat pump as well as the duct sealing.

Ben M. Was very professional and explained things well. Cody M. and Cody L. Did a great job with installing the new heating system for my mother. They were on time, reliable, professional.

2 stars for the scheduling person Lynette, I called last week to schedule the install on 1 day and startup of heat pump on the next day. They said not a problem. The day of installation came and everything went great, I had Ray B. call to make sure that the startup was the following day. The scheduling person said I wasn't on the schedule but they would try to make it out. I get a voicemail stating they couldn't make it out and I would have to re-schedule it due to overbooking. I took time off of work for this work to be done, now I have to do this on another day which will have to be after work. 5+ stars for installing crew, BelRed just installed a new Trane furnace & heat pump. The quality of work provided by Tracy J. & Ray B. was above and beyond expected. They were courteous, clean and efficient. I would highly recommend BelRed Energy Solutions to anyone looking for an update or upgraded energy system. Thank you, Lawrence Bookover for recommending BelRed.

We recently used BelRed for dryer vent cleaning. I could write a positive review purely on that - however, while they were doing the work, they noticed one of our garage walls was unexpectedly wet. They went around the outside of our house and water was pouring from the house. They found a leak! I could not get ahold of a plumber, but they had a division that does plumbing and had someone over in an hour. They really went above and beyond - all three service people - to get my issues resolved and avert a potential disaster. They truly had my entire home's welfare in mind! Thank you BelRed :)

BelRed has recently installed a new heat pump, furnace and water heater for our home and I'm very happy with how the project was completed! Chris Connelly did a great job in working with us to find good options to fit our budget and still have great equipment installed, made reasonable adjustments when unforeseen issues came up. The crews that worked on these (Jose, Steve, Cody and Russ for heat pump/furnace and Jeff for the water heater) were wonderful: professional, thorough, responsive - I felt like they really cared about the results of the work and our satisfaction. I would highly recommend them for any HVAC and plumbing project!
