Big airport, certainly doesn't feel crowded. BUT - if you need help, beware that NO staff speak English and they will walk away from you even if you use simple words. In one of the busiest airports in the world this is mind-blowing. Good thing I wasn't in any real trouble.

Terminal 2 is terribly uncomfortable, few cafes, only a supermarket saves. Everything is somehow awkwardly arranged, too many queues.
Low & poor quality services don't go there, I am wonder that's why the prices so cheap Staff & Immigration did not know what are they doing.. stupid people... don't speak English, bad services..
If you are transfers connecting I recommend do not going there, you should enjoy to try these countries are must better South Korean, Japan. Hong Kong, Twain for connecting to next flight.

tight security and long lines but if you have a long layover like i did you rent a locker leave you bags and get a 1 day visa to go sight seeing and shopping worth it.

The T3 terminal provides charging sockets before and after security check, and WiFi is not easy to use. There are not enough seats for rest. There are no vending machines. Staff service is good. The T2 socket is inconvenient, under the pole instead of the seat.
One of the largest airports I have ever been to. The complex is ultra modern with all its glass and steel structures with modern facilities. What's nice is that, the decors are traditional oriental pieces of interest that are in complete contrast with the modern architecture.
Immigration is too slow and so it security checking
Organization of the airport is regulated like the military. Clean and good fast process. the 200% people annoy control.
No Heat ! There seems to be heat in the international terminal except for the smokers lounge or the handicap bathroom. Both smell badly but only the smokers lounge will give you cancer.
There is a yoga / mediation lounge that was only slightly not as cold as the terminal but it may have only seemed that way as I was practicing yoga.
It's an OK Chinese airport. Probably, the best part about it is that you do not have to collect your luggage if you transferring onto another flight. Also, at the exchange office there's no limit on how much foreign currency you want to purchase
Avoid this airport. Busy, delays everywhere. Dirty restrooms (guys can t aim). Even for a foreigner going through security/customs it was a confusing mess with people telling us to go back and forth.
To find your way around there - you need a lot of skill.
It s very big inside, don t go shopping and check-in time, because it s at least 10 to 15 minutes to go to the boarding gate. This means that after checking the security check baggage and other checkpoints~
Rude, grumpy, they treat you like a prisoner, they slam the stuff without criteria. Hallucinating.
Although the environment is not the same, it covers a very wide area and it is really tiring.

this int'l airport we went to when my family did a group travel in 1987 and The Great Wall it is the only places in Beijing of which I remember the name. when I went here it looks like the airport isn't quite good at the time but I guess it is now
The police man didnt allow me entry to country, for 24 free VISA. Only beacuse I had stamps from Turkey in my passport. That s stupid . I was in Turkey 4 times for holiday and is it reason to don t give me visa? Personal of airport doesn t speak English, German ... I was trying to ask someone what s going on. Unfortunately they wasn t able to answer me. Stupid immigration police in Peking airport !!!! Plus airport ... I was cold after my 28 hours stay, shops are expensive ..: cheapest option was KFC with cheapest menu of 6 dollars..:
The officials are unfriendly, it's a 10-minute walk to get from the food area, to a bathroom, or water fountain, there are like 6 food offerings, old equipment is laying around in view of the public, eerily quiet, more escalators are off than on, Bathrooms smell bad, about as friendly as a bag of rusty nails.
DO NOT TRANSFER HERE. Horrible waiting lines for international transfer immigrantion and security check. They won't give a crap and only opens ONE line while the wait is more than 2 hours.
It is used for transit, but it is quite wide walking. The transit to the Beijing arrival at around GW 11 o'clock in 2018 and 2019 is relatively less crowded and smooth.

The airport is huge, LOT flies from the new terminal, which is very spacious and yet not fully used
For me it s been symbolized. I could get quite emotional upon arrival or departure at this airport.

Staff here were shouty and rude. I only stopped off here on my way to Bangkok.
And if they wanted you to go somewhere, they wouldn't bother telling you. They'd just physically push you.
Big airport, with decent amounts of shops and restaurants. Going through security and immigration can be confusing and chaotic. No fast track through so make sure to give yourself plenty time to do so. Don't expect much help from airport staff either.
For all passengers I would not recommend this airport. There is one queue for all transit flights (very long). The staff is very unfriendly (they dont even understand English). You need to remove all lights/matches and powerbanks (for what?). But the airport is clean and nice.
At first I found the airport attractive and modern. Then while I was in the men's bathroom a group of female cleaners just walked in and started mopping the floor while I was at the urinal. I found this extremely rude and offensive and told them. Men cleaners are not allowed to walk into women's bathrooms even though the women have privacy in a locked stall.
Then I went through the security checkpoint and received a physical body search by a female. I asked if males could also search females, she said no.
I found China to be very rude, backward and offensive with this state-sanctioned gender discrimination. I am not an animal. No one should ever be treated with less respect because of their gender
The most disgusting and horrible airport I have been to. I witnessed spilled orange juice get cleaned up with trash that had just been removed from the restroom, it even had some bonus used bandaids. The worst traveling experiences I have ever had all happened with this airport and Hainan airlines.
For a transferring flight, prepare to wait in a long line and go through security all over again. Security checks are very inefficient and slow. Nearly missed my connecting flight which was in the same terminal I arrived in, even with a two hour delay. The process was very stressful. I expected more from a city so advanced.

Rude and racist staff. The food is disgusting and not like any other Chinese food. Unorganized chaos everywhere. Avoid flying with Chinese carriers or to China in general.
Great airport, but speaking chinese is a must to communicate here which can be difficult if you are lost.
Had a 10 hour stay at the airport. The digits before the gates were barely heated, that it has just endured so with jacket. The Wi-Fi did not work and exchange in cash were withdrawn over 20%. Never again!

wasn't impressed with building.. quite old building..
Quite a big and decent airport. Can get confusing sometimes due to size but generally well organized. Has shops to buy and restaurant to eat with also liquor and chocolates available. Spa's to relax, rejuvenate oneself in addition to enjoying some time at the airport. Was under construction when I went, hopefully would have become more operational by now
[April 2018] An international airport with a large scale and large traffic volume, but with strict security and few windows, it often takes half an hour to an hour to wait in line for customs clearance. The shopping street is well planned.

Big nice airport. Wifi is non-existant so don't bother. Eat before you go through to the airside because all the restaurants you see when you get in will not be there after you go through security. Air China staff at United check-in are rude and not helpful. For a large international airport it should perform much better.

Nice and unique airport. The traditional yet modern design of the airport really gives it a nice look. A BUNCH of destinations and airlines to choose from. The staff are silent, but helpful. The food is not very good though, and outside it smells like cigarettes. The police ride on segways, which is kind of funny. But our Hainan Airlines flight back to San Jose was not very nice. The staff of Hainan Airlines were extremely stubborn, and made our life inconvenient by whining about an extra 0.4 lbs. They made us take a lot of stuff out and sort it around. I don't get why it's a 5-star airline on Skytrax, because it only deserves 3.5-stars.

Pretty bad airport. The WiFi is basically non-functional and there annoyingly long waits at security. And if you're looking for a chill place to sleep, none of the seats will work because they have partitions between individual seats.

The airport does not always cope with the load .. queues for inspection, queues for registration .. baggage claim is delayed by an hour .. let's say it s worse, there is room to grow .. I try to avoid whenever possible. In a couple of years, they will build a new huge airport in the south of the city, maybe that will work out .. but I can t believe it

This airport provides a lot of space and therefore does not feel overcrowded. There are many places to lay down and relax. It is well connected to the city, but the flow of the airport doesn t feels smooth. The queues are long and somehow the system feels not logical. Selection of the food or stores is not comparable with most of the big airports.

I am visited once for the first time by Beijing International Airport .It was one of the great experience that I ever had in my life. Beijing Capital International Airport is the main international airport serving Beijing. It is located 32 km northeast of Beijing's city center, in an enclave of Chaoyang District and the surroundings of that enclave in suburban Shunyi District.
I enjoyed this journey very much.
Cavernous expanses, like a ghost town at midnight , very few restrooms ( if you can find them) plenty of new shops going up ( to make it even harder to navigate around - and yes, there re the huge global brands. There probably extra keen t to open up here as there are 100,000 cameras around the place so you and them will be safe!
During winter it's cold inside. Be prepared when going to tropics.
