Pretty much the worst experience I ve ever encountered at an airport. With all the people who come through this airport who are visiting, it is extremely confusing and you end up trying to find someone who speaks English in a line(which is endless). To get a pass outside the airport, one worker was helping one person at a time, while 3 other workers were looking at his computer. Meanwhile, there are probably 75 of us waiting for our turn. I m pretty sure the police basically run the airport. It took us 4 hours to get out of the airport to see the wall. We spent 20 minutes there and had to hurry back to make our flight. With a 9 hour layover, that s crazy!
I can't write much in detail because I just went to Mongolia, but it's a beautiful airport.
The worst airport I ever seen in my life with the worst people
This airport left me with mixed feelings. Security check was pretty quick and not stressful and hand luggage control didn't take as much time as I thought it would. However, the fact that nearly none of the staff speaks English is kind of a bummer. I found it easy to communicate with very few people. Also, transit to the airport could be improved. Buses and the subway don't run til late and I believe they should. The airport could have some more charging ports.
Better passenger and cargo air services for different airlines
On arrival and departure was in terminal 2. Well organized. Control is quick. Big queue for a taxi. But I did not like the transit in terminal 3. The queue is at security control, which, by the way, is unclear to anyone who needs transit. No priority for business class. Business lounges are not very good both for Aeroflot in terminal 2 and for Air China in terminal 3. It is possible that Emirates or first class is better.
It is convenient to take a taxi. Supporting facilities and their backwardness.
The airport is very large and very design, it is worthy of Beijing Guomen!
A lot of passengers pass through this place everyday. So i thought they management should have prepared for that but unfortunately they are not. They service are not encouraging, very poor
Glad Beijing has a new airport. American Airlines staff at check in counter handled customers terribly when we missed our flight because of delays on the other end. Staff member told us there were no flights open for the next 3 days, yet the next day, talking to the much more respectful staff member in the actual office room of American, they offered us a seat on a flight that took off the same day. Unfortunate that we missed our flight, but we were only of about 5 the missed the American flight. That left fewer excuses for the check in counter staff to mishandle the situation. Seriously doubting those check in guys are actual trained American Airlines workers. If you ever have the chance to transfer away from Beijing Capital, do so, or try to avoid delay prone airlines.
+ Efficient access from the center
+ Smooth movement around the airport thanks to the queue
+ Very nice terminal
- Huge queues, in which people unfortunately push very hard. It's safe to count about 3 hours to get everything done
- A bit expensive
Huge airport but with average management, board sign are clearly mention,
But if you are in transit be ready to have book or phone charged to time pass in huge & slow moving lines,
All officers are bit slow & average English to handle,
Transit visa will stamp with some hiccups
Very modern airport, little bit easy to get lost though!
MISERABLE EXPERIENCE!!! Kept our luggage for no reason and has given us the worst time in the world to get it back. They made us get a 24 hour visa and leave the airport (go outside security) when all we had was a 6 hour layover. It was cheaper to fly through here but Seoul South Korea is A THOUSAND times better. It would have been worth the money to go through Seoul.
